In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Walking through the town waiting for the Castle to be found, Oswald didn't really know what to do. Walking past the hole in the wall once again he saw a gently glowing light fade in and out from the hole. Curious the toon changed path, heading into the hole, a pebble hitting his head as he stepped through the wall. "Hey, anyone here?" He says as he enters the other side of the wall, the usual forested area seemingly taken over by someone there was a sleeping bag leaned up on a tree as well as a small campfire sitting unattended.
Oswald walked over to the home of whoever chose to live in the forest, nothing really telling on who it was, a few stray feathers. As the toon watched them the feathers started to shuffle upwards, before flying into the sky, seemingly on their own. "Okay then..." Looking around for more than just a missing resident the mansion Oswald had fought the monster at with the group of 3 lay quiet. Walking towards the hole again Oswald heard a shuffling in the trees, leaves starting to fall down from them, an acorn landing beside the rabbit. Looking upwards Oswald saw something new, a Blue Monkey with a strange symbol on it's chest, before Oswald had anytime to react the monkey produced another acorn and threw it at the rabbit. Dodging to the left Oswald looked into it's eyes, the same ones of the shadows flitting around town, "You're a Heartless!" producing his remote Oswald got ready to fight.
Twilight Town was filled with refugees from all sorts of worlds, and Era wasn't really one to judge by appearances. However, she'd seen one of the new residents who looked to be venturing out past the safe zone established past the Moogles.
Perhaps it was none of her business: she really wasn't the type to police people, but for their safety, perhaps she would follow behind, just in case any backup was needed. The presence of Heartless had only grown thicker since the Nightfall, and it was an issue that got worse the further away from the established sanctuary one wandered.
With this in mind, Era would follow along behind Oswald, perhaps a bit nosy and equally curious. And it was a good thing she had! Sure enough, a Heartless had appeared! The small female quickly ran to Oswald's side. "I'll be your backup!" she encouraged.
She focused her energy into her palms. Thin webs of black ice began to glimmer and crackle. The shape of the Harvesters barely took form before the ice shattered into hundreds of inverse sparkles, small explosions of magic blasting icy shards in every direction. Why is it so hard to summon them?
Well, no matter! If her blades refused to show, she would have to resort to something else. Looking around, she spotted a large stick and grabbed it up, gripping it tight. It was the best she could muster on the fly.

After heading to the food storage and picking up some things for Dinner, Fahe was feeling pretty good, flapping upwards he flew back to his current home, the clearing he had in the forest. Just a small place to call his own, flying over the woods he looked down, Another person had arrived, another two? A rabbit and a girl, weird, they seemed agitated, he thought. Descending he saw the reason why, a monkey had appeared in the woods, a blue one with glowing eyes.
Landing next to his camp fire Fahe put his food down and got a better look at the oncoming fight, a strange symbol on the monkey, A heart with an x?"Hey, uh, who're you? he asks the strangers. The monkey throws another acorn down on the ground a couple inches in front of the girl, before jumping down from the tree, a small cloud of dirt and dust coming up from it's feet.
The girl behind him seemed ready to fight, and Oswald wasn't complaining on having help, bit weird she was here in the woods anyway, but who cares. Looking over at her she ran and grabbed a stick, which made Oswald question why she was gearing to fight if she didn't have anything. "Hey, you know that that's just a stick right? I don't think that'll hurt this thing much" Oswald said as he looked at her.
As he was talking with her a flutter of feathers sounded to his right, turning in the direction a boy had arrived, one with wings sure, but he was here. "I'm Oswald, we can't really do introductions right now, Heartless." Oswald said to the boy before turning back to the monkey who had now jumped directly in front of him. Oh Goody, it's here He thought before aiming his remote at the monkey and firing at it's body. An attack he couldn't miss which shocked the Heartless, Perfect, this'll be easy
The ginger girl nodded, tightening the grip around her makeshift weapon. "Yes, but I can't get my swords right now, so this will have to do."
After Oswald set his first attack, Era had gone in with a good hit to the beast, sending it a few yards backward. At the very least, a stick was good at keeping distance between them and the Heartless.

"So you guys just kinda, attacking monkeys now?" Fahe said as he watched the Girl reel back and slam the monkey with a stick. "Like I'm not missing anything here right?" Walking over to the two Fahe watched as the monkey, now on it's back, flipped over and faced them. Jumping around slightly the Monkey jumped once more and then kicked out towards the group. "Woah!" Fahe leapt upwards slightly at the attack. "Man you guys pissed off this monkey bad, huh?"
"Why don't you have your swords on, all the time?" Oswald said turning to Era after she smacked the Heartless across the woods. Turning towards Fahe now as the boy had begun to get slightly involved with the situation Oswald opened his mouth to speak but before he could avtually address the situation the kid started to ramble on. "This is not a normal monkey! It's a Heartless! Oswald yelled as he dove out of the way of the incoming kick, throwing his arm towards it firing a blast of ice towards it as he landed.
"Basically, the bad guys," Era added. Hopefully it would erase any doubt in Fahe's mind that the Heartless were in fact malicious.[break][break]
Her eyes turned back to Oswald for a moment. "Well, my weapons don't quite work like that." Her statement was interrupted and her gaze snapped over to one of the monkeys. It aimed a scratching attack toward her upper body. It landed only a couple swipes before she whirled out of the way, narrowly dodging the rest of the attack, and sending a hard whack with her stick back to the Heartless's gut.[break][break]
For the present, the immediate battlefield was clear again, so it was safe to tell him more. "My weapons are summoned with magic, and disappear when I don't need them." Now Era wasn't the type to brand things as crazy. She was too open-minded for that. But to someone more strictly rational, perhaps her statement seemed a little strange.[break][break]
One thing Shaizen hated was when his training was interrupted. Being someone who had known only the sword his whole life, he took his training very seriously, seeing it as almost sacred. He took at least a little bit of time out of every day in order to get in some training, making sure he was at the top of his game. And thus he found himself in the forest, swords in hand as he waited for Heartless to appear. [break][break]He hadn't been to this area much, having little interest in the wooded area bordered by a mansion. But he had come to realize that with so few people in this area, Heartless tended to appear more frequently. Except for today it would seem. He had only caught sight of a few Heartless since he ventured out to this area, and only a few smaller ones at that. He had been hoping for something a little bigger, something that might have a bit more challenge to it. He needed something to fully test his blades on, now that they were restored. [break][break]And it was as he was waiting that he heard the sounds of a small struggle nearby. It sounded a little bit away from him, but not so far that he couldn't pinpoint its direction. With Lunar, his blade of Light made of white Lunar Steel, in hand he began to head in the direction of the noise. As he grew closer the noise seemed to die down, as though the fighting had ceased for a few seconds. Noting this, he stepped into a small clearing in which he saw a rather odd group. [break][break]A young girl, what appeared to be a rabbit, and a boy with wings stood in front of him. He had seen a few different types of beings since arriving in Twilight Town, but this was by far the most unique group he had come across. The girl wielded a stick for some reason, making Shaizen wonder if she had her own weapons. The rabbit held a remote, and the winged person didn't seem to have any weapons out. Strange group indeed, and it looked as though they might be having some problems with a Heartless. [break][break]"It might help if you had an actual weapon. Sure, a stick will hurt, but that's about it. Not sure if Heartless react to pain either. Would you like some help?"
“My weapons don’t exactly work like normal ones,” Era was quick to respond. She wasn’t being rude about it, despite the flare of minor irritation at the situation. It was obvious that actual weapons would be far more effective in this situation, but circumstances as they were, she did what she could with what she had.[break][break]
And with the situation as it was, this guy had come in offering friendly assistance: something anyone in their right mind wouldn’t turn down. “My weapons are summoned from the ether.” That was just how she explained it. Magical weapons weren’t always abnormal, but she wasn’t one to judge. Maybe in his world things worked differently.[break][break]
She looked at the new guy with a confident grin, batting another heartless out of the way as it jumped toward her. “Normally I could handle these guys in a jiffy, but my weapons refuse to materialize. Given things as they are, I’d gladly take you up on that offer!”[break][break]
There was one last thing she could do in the situation. She focused on her soul: focused on her magic. Instead of the normal shadows she could tap in around her heart, she felt warm comfort instead. It was tranquil, peaceful. For a split second - no longer than a breath - her eyes slipped closed in focus.[break][break]
Her mind flashed back to the alleyway in Traverse Town: to Rook in her arms when he bestowed her with Guard Light. The comforting warmth of the magic residing within her now was the same as that time.[break][break]
In a moment her spirit focused on the magic connecting to her. She felt she knew the tenor of the spell that was ready to spill forth. It was time to take a chance and cast it. This would be her first time doing so.[break][break]
“Shadowburn!” Caribbean frost eyes snapped open, her attention on the spell she was casting.[break][break]
A flash of light roiled out from an expulsion of light that swept the immediate battlefield. Bright white-gold tendrils danced into the air, fading into sparkling particles as they disappeared. The heartless still standing were hit, though it was rough to estimate the damage done to them. After all, Era wasn’t really sure how strong this spell was, nor was she quite sure about her connection to the ether. After all, her weapons still didn’t want to appear.[break][break]
She could tell it had to do with the light in her heart now, but she didn’t have time to comb through the details. She could work the rest out on her own time, once all of them were safe.[break][break]
