In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The old mans been stealin she's holdin the greevin for hundred a years we all keep believin that history repeats itself year after year. i fears that the future is worse we have to give in to a hundred year curse sweatin the sun like we're diggin a grave dig deep enough and our fortune is saved
Her time would be saved if only….she could’ve kept up with him.
Damn, where the hell could he be? Erika couldn’t count how many times the question had flowed through her head like a ghostly apparition. It couldn’t be too hard to find him, right? Unfortunately, that thought has been proven wrong minutes ago. Every turn she took, she saw another lost foreign fast in the cobblestone town that dimmed with lights flaming in old fashioned streetlamps.
She passed the mail post at the bottom of a few stairs five times already searching for the sole guy carrying an extended spear. Instead, she ran into running children and grumbling adults. It was awkward seeing so much activity at the brink of night. This so called Traverse Town was cascaded in endless night with twinkling stars in the distant heavens. What made the search frustrating was that not a single person who stood about doing nothing but chanting could point her to a successful direction. Instead, Erika was led on what felt like an infinite goose chase.
if only if only the wood pecker sighs the bark on the trees was as soft as the sky as the wolf waits below hungry and lonely he cries to the moo-oo-oon if only if only
Leaning against the door she groaned at the lack of any leads. She ripped the headphones out of her ears as it dangled from her fanny pack. The song was starting to annoy her as it painted a fantasy world where everything was so simple with the possibility of if only. If only she could find him soon enough she wouldn’t be running around in a foreign place with the unhelpful company.
“Maybe I should take my own direction,” the gunslinger muttered, while pushing the door to the second district open. Through all of her escapades being given directions, none have told her of the high dangers in the other darker district compared to the well-lit and inhabited first district.
"Just freaking great.......my luck I'd land in the middle of a heartless outbreak," Max muttered to himself, backed against the edge of the fountain in the small square in the second district. He was trapped there by a quad of soldier heartless, complimented by a pair of air soldiers. Sure, he'd managed to hold them off, but that was only because the fountain provided enough water for him to block their attacks, which so far, he'd barely been able to do well enough.
He kept a lookout on the air soldiers flitting around all over the place out of the corner of his eye, watching them, trying to find out when they'd make their next move. They always did like teasing and taunting t heir prey before striking.....and it was starting to get to him.
As the soldiers continued closing in, Max heard the large gates to the first district opening. That could only mean one thing: someone was heading from the only safe district to one of the dangerous ones.
"Get back through that gate!" Max yelled to the person as he rushed one of the soldiers in an attempt to keep it busy,"I'll keep them busy while you escape!"
He couldn't see who was up there, but he didn't want anyone in danger. If only he hadn't gotten separated from Erika in the middle of her little teleportation stone thing's transportation here, things would be all hunky-dory right now. But, no, just his look, he had to get separated from her while they were being teleported, which caused them to end up in separate places.
As he came up to the soldier, he whipped around, holding the end of the spear against his body, bracing the rest of it with his arm, and slamming it into the heartless' head, knocking it to the ground. At the same time, the other two came after him, and one of the air soldiers charging down at him as the other charged towards the newcomer.
Quickly, Max spun around, whirling his spear around over his head to ward off the air soldier and creating a small wall of water around him to keep the soldiers at bay. However, this kind of manuever, which he'd done about a dozen times since he'd been dropped off here n the second district, was starting to wear on him. He wouldnt be able to keep it up much longer.
This proved to come all too soon as the soldier Max had knocked down got back up....inside the perimeter of his small wter shield, lashing out at him with its claws and cutting him across his side. Letting out a grunt of pain, he dissolved the water shield and spun his spear around, cracking the shaft across the heartless' head with a loud, audible snap, its head snapping back sharply and whacking into its back, its neck broken. It started to slump to the ground as it began to disappear and the other two soldiers closed in on him, and the air soldier floating off of the ground a short ways away, ready to strike at any moment.....

The sounds of clanking metal caused Erika to turn her head in front of her as she ended her last glance at the first district. Slowly she crept forward curious to see whatever scene that was ahead. The doors closed with a heavy thump of solid wood. Hearing the sound buzzing from her earphones, she plugged them in and lowered the volume, but the shout was still audible through Pompeii by E. S. Posthumus.
"Get back through that gate! I'll keep them busy while you escape!"
Blue hued eyes widened at the familiarity, and her hands gripped her Elisa and Eleanor. Her heart began to charge the pistols with her light as she snuck up close to the slight patio that extended over the Second District. Peaking over the marble design with her crotched position, she saw. The light of the fountain gave her a clear vision of black creatures adorned in garments. A few were strapped in noisy armory, while the others flapped unevenly in the air almost lazily with bat like wings. She saw a drunken walking armored creature, what she remembered was called heartless, be knocked unto the floor after an impact of a spear’s end.
For a moment, she was able to see Max within the mayhem as the heartless surrounded him. Rising from her crotched position, she stood on the balcony with her pistols fully charged. It didn’t surprise her that she had drawn attention; it would be better that way for Max won’t have to labor with multiple attacks from different opponents that stalked like a predatorily feline ready to strike at a sign of weakness. Silently she started to count to herself as she took aim to the upcoming air soldier.
“Five, four, three, two--,” right on one the heartless fell back away as it was encased in a shield of water blocking it away from her, while blocking a shot. She wouldn’t want to waste a bullet that might not be able to penetrate the water shield and successfully make contact with the target. “Dammit Max take it down.” The gunslinger growled preparing to take a chance and action.
The shield fell for some reason unknown, but it didn’t stop Erika taking the opportunity. She counted out loud each number with a Meteroid Shot, a bullet that will puncture the target and combust into light.
“1, 2, 3,” her whispers were overpowered by the loud shots as the bullet rippled the air towards the two soldiers and the air soldier.
Max ducked down as he heard shots fired from the rise at the gateway betwen the first and second districts, looking up for a moment as one of the air soldiers was knocked out of the air and two of the soldiers were knocked to the ground. There, on top of the rise, he saw Erika, pistols out and aimed at the heartless.
"About freakin' time!" he shouted up to her, grinning,"You sure know how to make an entrance!"
He turned back to the heartless, grabing every last bit of water in the fountain and sending it rushing at them, knocking them all back down to the ground off of their feet. He took the opportunity to rush them, striking out at the air soldier, which was closest to him, spearing it through the head with his warpike and watching as it dissolved into darkness.
He turned, facing the soldiers, which were by now back on their feet and moving slowly toward him. He grinned. There was still water all over the ground around their feet.....which meant.......
"Time to lock you boys down," he muttered, using the water around the soldiers' feet to grab onto them, keeping them from moving,"Erika! Finish 'em off! I'll keep them from moving."

Erika shook her head with a chuckle, "Just call it my keen sense of direction and timing." It seems that her own sense of direction was far more helpful than the people of Traverse Town. Also if it weren't for her stubborness to not listen, Max wouldn't have had his miniature break by his "heroic act" to handle it all solo.
Momentarily, she looked down noticing the lack of gleams the pistols had; the energy gauge was half way empty. The last triggered attack had drained it down as the light had fueled the bullets that combust on the heartless.
..If only time can slow down a bit...
Looking forward, she watched Max take the upper hand, while she tried to charge up her pistol high enough. It wasn't full, but there was enough to do a Battle Cry, shots full of light energy in the shape of bullets. To get in a closer range, Erika gripped the top before jumping over th balcony to land of the stoned ground below.
Seeing the heartless pinned by water and hearing her oppurtunity, she smiled, "Time to see the light." Gun shots rang a different sound lacking the natural cracking of the sound barrier. One can nearly hear the speed of the light as the small ovals hit the targets in a stream. It wouldn't be long for the light to purify the heart with light poisoning and the darkness to fade.
Max held the soldiers and air soldier in place as Erika leapt down from the rise and fired off at the heartless with her light bullets. However, unseen by either Max or Erika, a shadow heartless was hiding underneath one of the nearby benches. It had just sat there and watched for reasons unknown, but now it decided to jump out and attack Max as Erika fired off her shots, hitting him before either him or Erika could do anythingg about it.
Not only did the attack disrupt Max's focus on his water shackles on the heartless, but it also pushed him in the way of one of Erika's light bullets, which hit him in the shoulder, spinning him around so he landed forcefully face-first on the ground with a groan, the shadow heartless still standing over him.

"Watch ou-" She couldn't get the last word out complete as a shadow jumped out with its talons clawing furiously at Max, but the heartless' moves where as fluid and smooth as water. Max getting hurt seemed to be the unevitable.
Like a chain reaction, the dominoes started to fall. The heartless hit Max; Max's attack was disturbed and crumbled apart; the heartless were free before fading away by the light with their hearts floating to who knows where. With Max shifted position, he was hit by light and feel to the floor. If only things can turn out the way planned and wanted, then the worlds would be such a merrier place without any drama or problems.
"Aaah snickerdoodles," Erika sneered before shooting down the shadow. "Why don't you just die already." The gun rang with every syllable until the shadow was no longer visible as a pink heart floated away. Putting her pistols back in their keep, the gunslinger ran up to Max.
"Hey are you alright? Well of-course you're not alright, because you've been shot. A shot wound is hardly nice, but it wasn't by an actual bullet so you should be fine. Well I hope you'll be fine. You know what JUST SAY SOMETHING!" Erika rambled.

A slime brown brow arched at Max's giggle. She blinked and took in a deep inhale as he got up. Erika was at lost of words, because she never imaged Max...laughing..ever. Then again, she only met him not too long ago, but still seeing a warrior, who can handle a spear, laugh would throw her for a loop.
"Um well, we were doing fine eliminating the heartless until a shadow snuck behind you, which ruined everything t-then you go shot and now you-" Erika froze as the taller individual stepped closer to her with laughter before embrassing her. Her blue eyes widdened before patting him on the back, "H-hehe, well I'm not hurt, but you are my concern."
The gunslinger replied looking up at him was he pulled away.
"Well, we actually got split up on our way here. You ended up here; well you get the picture. Crap, now I forgot why we came here," all the adrenaline had fried her mind in what they were doing her versus acting on pure impulse with the pull of the trigger."Well that doesn't matter now. The question is are you...ok...or are you going to start laughing again?"
Max grinned and laughed at Erika's question. He shook his head and waved a hand at her.
"I"m perfectly fine," he said,"I'm okay. I proooomise. Don't worry about me, all right?"
He gave Erika a warm, friendly smile and hooked his arm in hers, a big grin on his face and started taking large steps forward, pulling Erika along with him. He laughed as he dragged Erika alongg with him, walking up the stairs before realizing he'd left his spear where he'd dropped it.
He quickly pulled his arm from Erika's and ran down the stairs, leaping over the side and landing near his pike and picking it up and grinning at Erika. Then, he remembered what they were there for.
"Hey! I remember why we came here!" he said, laughing and walking back over to Erika,"We came here trying to try and find some information in the Zero District! I remember they have....hehehehh....mobsters there. They can find us some information....."
He laughed and grabbed Erika's arm in his own again and started walking again, this time back the way they had come, toward the Zero District.

Erika tried to interject as Max continued about his health status, "B-but I must say that you can be under the influence of light poisoning."
Her legs stretched in an awkward gait as she tried to keep up with Max as he laughed and waltz towards the exit of the Second District and the entrance to the First. The tug finally ceased when he let go of her leaping down the stairs like a prancing ballerina towards his spear. Uncertain, Erika fiddled an itch on the side of her head, while watching him.
...Oh goodness... She nearly jumped out of her thoughts at Max's loud voice and laugh as he trailed back to here. With his words, everything started to flow back to her memory. He, Max, going to see a mob...like that. Would they even take us seriously? If not then what could-
"Um are you sure this is a good idea...right now?" Erika pleaded as he grabbed her arm and started walking. "I mean seriously you are laughing like an insane."
Max grinned over at Erika as she asked if seeing the mob was a good idea in his current state. He had to fight to keep from laughing at the idea. He was just extremely happy and carefree at the moment, for some strange reason. Actually.....now that he thought about it, it was a little strange that he was this happy right after getting hit by one of Erika's attacks....
He shrugged, dismissing it, and grinned over at Erika.
"Yeah, sure," he said, waving a hand at Erika,"I told you I'm fine. Just because I'm laughing and grinning like a fool doesn't mean I can't be serious. I'm just exceedingly happy at the moment. You didn't think I was the kind of person who never laughed or had fun, did you?"
He grinned and winked at Erika and then said quietly,"I'm rather fun when I want to be," and then laughed again at his own joke, took her arm in his again, and continued walking arm in arm with her.

Her brows furrowed with concern and uncertainty as he tried to reassure her. His exact foolish laughing and grinning was the on point reason that his seriousness would be brushed of by these mobsters.
"Um," was the only audible sound Erika made in reply to his question before looking at him skeptically with his wink and smile. I rather not ask....for ellaboration...
"Since you are so determined to find these mobsters, where in the world is District Zero? The townspeople were hardly any help in finding you, so I doubt they would excell in giving correct and exact directions."
Max smiled at Erika, as they walked along and she asked where the Zero District was.
"Don't worry," he said,"I know exactly where it is. To get there.....you have to go through the alleyway or the first district. The way we're getting there is through the first district."
He felt himself beginning to settle down some, although he was still in a very good, optimistic mood. He continued to lead Erika, her arm in his own as they walked.
"Anyway......seriously, I'll be fine, Erika," he said, raising an eyebrow at her,"I'm not one to take lightly if you could possibly make an enemy out of me, even when I'm acting like a fool."
He pulled his arm from hers and pushed open the gate to the first district and held it open to her, giving a slight bow to her as he did.
"After you, milady," he said, giving her a small smile and motioning for her to continue on through the gate.

"Alright, alright, I'll just have to take your word for it." Erika replied, while poking his side. "Not like there's a reason to not believe you." The gunslinger's hands tucked in her pockets as he opened the gates, while kicking the smooth cement softly. Looking up, she cocked her head to the side in a slight tilt at his bow.
"Why thank-you good sir," Erika giggled (>.0 for some reason..that world always sounds...funny just like nipple..but not as fun to say) taking the first step through the gate. "Wow first well how you put a fool and now a gentlemen. Are there any other personalities in that head of yours I don't know about?" Her brow cocked teasingly, while poking the top of his head disturbing the flow of his hair.
