In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Erika was too busy shoot away the shadows to not notice the upcoming Large Body heartless. She wasn't using any bullets, and she had to recharge her pistols. Silently, she inhaled keeping her mind of ill thoughts to charge the guages with light.
Knowing it would take a while, the gunslinger flipped the pistols to whack the heartless with the thick handles. A shadow jumped at her with scratching claws only to have a foot hit it between the eyes and fall back. Looking at her pistols, she noticed they were no where near half way full.
"Darnit," flipping the pistols again, she gripped Elisa and Eleanor before pulling the trigger. Black mist started to rise with each shot followed by the clink of the bullet hitting the floor.
Jawn was still slashing away. He maneuvered fluently and easily as if he had done this exact thing over and over aagain in some sort of rehearsal. The heartless kept attacking and Jawn was handling them with ease. Continuing his manuevers using their attacks against themselves, he could last a long time fighting, but even he was getting tired.
"I have no idea"
he said as he continued slashing through the heartless violently. Slowly he started dodging and it got closer and closer. Eventually right when he slayed one, one of them managed to cut him right on the cheek. He had finally been hit, by a shadow even. He got angry that they managed to get him. So he started back up and gained focus. He wasn't going to start being lazy again.
As the Big Body faded into nothing, Max pulled the butt of his spear-shaft away from the floor, whipping around and slamming a shadow hard into a wall with it, slicing through another as he followed through with the momentum of his turn.
As he came back to a defensive stance, he saw an opening in the middle of the hallway between the shadows. It was a perfect opportunity.
"Lyon! Take that side!" he siad, pointing to the side of the hallway nearest him,"Keep them away from the middle! Erika, Jawn, go through! We'll be right behind you!"
He moved over and started keeping the shadows on his side away from the center of the hallway.

Lyon nodded his head to the mans plan and got to where he told him. He sheathed his Osafune and extended the dark tendrils on his fingers. He started use them as claws when they got to close and whips when they were out of reach. If this worked they may be able to get away from them.

"Well you heard the man let's go," Erika grabbed Jawn's hand after tucking Eleanor away.
Seizing the oppurtunity, Erika ran down the cleared strip dragging the other with her. While running down, Elissa sang loudly at any stray heartless that tried to stop them for reaching on the other side that may have slipped past the two that kept them at bay.
Jawn easily gained his balance back from being pulled. Since he's an ex bandit he's naturally fast meaning he doesn't need any help. Having her hold his hand and dragging him along was only slowing them down. He twisted his wrist around slight and grabbed her by the wrist so he was the one in control. After doing this he sped up to a fulll sprint. Now he was dragging her along, hoping she could keep up with him.
All his weapons away he knew Lyon's techniques well enough to know they were protected, no idea about the other one, but he knew one of them at least. He just had to put his trust in Max not to kill them as he ran dragging Erika behind. They had a plan and were about to make it out of this mess of heartless, all it required was for everyone to do what they have to. One traitor and they were all doomed
(ehh, i wanted to lengthen my post slightly so i added the teamwork crap xD lol)
Max swung his spear around in a long arc, knocking the shadows away from him, keeping them away from Erika and Jawn as they ran past. As soon as they got clear of the small number of shadows left, Max began backing away from the shadows, moving back towards the corner of the hallway, gathering the water he had left to use.
"Lyon! Get out of here. I'll finish them off," he said, forming the water into compressed balls. Once Lyon was out of the way, he sent them careening into the shadows that were left, a little over a half dozen of them.
The water balls collided with them, a heavy barrage knocking the small black things around, over half of them bursting to shadowy mist during the assault. Once he'd used all of his water balls, he quickly leapt forward, slicing through the two left with his spear and sending them to the same end.
As he straightened back up, he looked to where the dragon was fighting the heartless down the hall .They had pushed him slightly back toward where they were, but only to the corner where the hallway bent. He had backed himself into the corner and was spewing fire and spells at the heartless rushing him, swiping at them with his claws. The stream, however, seemed to be slowing, so Max disregarded it and turned and dashed around the hallway corner to join the others, his cloak fluttering along behind him.
"That's it," he said, standing there, panting hard and sweating, fatigue washing through his body in waves with each beat of his heart,"We still need to move though. We can take a short breather if anyone needs it, but, aside from that, we don't have the time to spare."
He looked around at everyone when he noticed something wet against his side and looked down, seeing his shirt ripped, three long claw-marks across his side. The shadows must have hit him during the whole mess and the adrenaline coursing through his body had numbed the pain until just now. His shirt beneath the claw-marks was wet with blood running down his side in small, steady rivulets.
He quickly felt around with his water magic, gathering what he could and bringing it over to him, covering his wound with it and compressing it to his body, stopping the bleeding. Then, he looked at everyone else and gave a small grin. It still throbbd, but the pain was bearable compared to other wounds he'd had.
"Well, that's a surprise, isn't it?" he said, laughing a little and getting a better grip on his spear's shaft,"Now, let's go, huh?"
He started walking, beginning to feel the fatigue of the hard fighting and blood-loss.

Lyon nodded his head when he told him to get out of there. He usually didn't like getting out of the fray but if the man was going to use his energy and not his, he was gonna let him.
Lyon saw the mans blood, he should've worn thicker armor if he doesn't care to dodge attacks. "Hope that holds, any wound can become a hindrance right now. And I'm ready, I'm just hoping that we can get into an area with not so much light."

Stretching her arm, Erika pulled the tensing muscles as they began to numb after Jawn had practically dragged her to the other side. It wasn't long for Lyon and Max to join up with them. She was eager to continue until seeing a trio gash on Max's side rimmed with blood. He temporarily stopped the bleeding with hydro, but she wondered how long will it last. After placing the momentary seal, he was ready to go. Shaking her head, Erika's arms crossed her chest.
Before she can act, the hidden broom wobbled into view with leaps, while waving its arm to gather their attention. For it to be mute, it did one hell of a job as Erika stared at it. Running up to her, it grabbed her arm and ran.
Great I'm getting dragged around by a dust collector..
"Well I was about to protest, but it seem we must get going now, and when we get to wherever we're going Max I'm healing that."
The broom continued down the hall heading towards a double door entry. Looking around, it searched for any enemies. Erika's free fist rested on her hip with an arch brow. Can this thing honestly see? She knew the close was clear and was about to tell the broom, who started a syncopated knock on the door before it cracked open.
Jawn followed joyessly as if he was actually enjoying this. He was willing to keep fighting, not only that but he wanted to keep fighting. He followed everybody else from behind. He knew that this would be the best place to be. Anyy heartless ambush from behind, he'd be the first to see it no matter where he was, and this way he's in the position to get rid of it before the others even know it exists. No one could get behind him, he trusted Erika and Max, but he still had his doubts about Lyon. So he just stayed behind and followed being quiet as ever scheming up a plan in his head. What he was planning to do... who knows? but either way, Jawn had realized something the others hadn't, and he was planning something...
"This patch on my side can hold so long as I'm consciously holding it like this," Max said to Lyon as he commented on the patch he'd put on his wounds,"It protects from foreign contaminants, and will stop loss of blood until the wound clots. It can essentially function as an extension of my body. It was one of my major duties when I was in the army."
He watched as a broom popped up seemingly out of nowhere, waving and gesturing wildly at them all, theng grabbing Erika and running off, dragging her.
"H-hey!" he said, quickly running after them, his side throbbing slightly with each step. His aquatic compress would keep him from bleeding from it anymore, but it unfortunately couldnt' stop the pain. Even though it wasn't so bad he couldn't run, it was still uncomfortable.
He ran ahead, staying next to Erika and the broom and gave a quiet laugh over to Erika as she spoke to him about healing his wounds.
"You won't hear any complaints from me," he said, grinning,"I wouldn't mind getting rid of this annoying itch."
He stood by as the broom knocked on the doors they had stopped in front of as it opened a crack, and the broom reach out and opened the room up, pulling Erika into the place after it, Max and the others quickly following.
The room the broom had led them to was a library. It was lined with shelves stocked with books, witha small desk in the middle and a dog's bed off to one side. It was empty aside from their small group and a few brooms, including the one that had led them here.
"Well, now, isn't this convenient," Max said, walking over to a small, empty section of wall and leaning his back against it and sliding down it to sit on the floor, letting out a small sigh of relief at being able to rest,"Books and a safe place. Can't get any better than that."

Lyon chuckled at the mans answer and noticed the broom leading the girl away. He followed and saw the great library. Lyon smirked at what the man said. He wasn't too much of a reader but in a place like this he could learn something. He wandered the shelves getting away from the others and started searching the 'D' section.

As the door pushed open, Erika saw nothing but books, light, and...more brooms. The were huddling together near the empty desk and empty buckets. All of them turned when the door opened stiff as a board before relaxing once seeing another fellow cleaning utensil. Letting go of Erika's hand, the broom hopped off towards the other to join in the "broomish" conversation. The gunslinger's head tilted in curiousity at how they were able to communicate to culivate in a group to look for safety.
This place seems more magical then I thought...but why are they the only one here...
Awkward it seems to stumble into someone's territory, house, castle, and not bump into any people instead of the cleaning staff, animated brooms. Where were the king, queen, emperor, emperess, duke, dutches, or ruler of this castle? Atleast an adviser would be present. Have they all fled from the heartless when alerted? Where they that defenseless to not send an army, knights, or warriors to protect them, or was such activity concentrated elsewhere? All of the questions made her brow furrowed in thought to the point she nearly forgot to the promise to heal Max as soon as they got in.
Turning her head, her eyes scanned in search for him; he rested against the wall, while sitting nonchalantly on the floor. Walking towards him, her teeth started to pull a worn leather fingerless glove off her hand before folding her legs to sit in an indian style in front of him.
"What would be better is to take care of that," she referedd to his wound. Without questions or request, she lifted up his shirt; Erika would've ripped where the tears were made, but didn't carry what they call munny to replace it with. Flexing her fingers, she bore her nails into the wound before light flickered at the tips of her fingers. "If it hurts, you should definately blame my teacher; it's his method."
Jawn had noticed that Max and Erika were talking to eachother and Lyon was all alone. He was sure Lyon probably noticed the same thing he did. He walked up to the D section and acted as if he was looking for a book to. For once, he was planning something behind someones back, and he hoped to have his enemy as a part of it.
"Don't you think this is strange..."
He said whispering to Lyon while looking through the books quietly enough that Max and Erika would think neither of them even acknowledged eachother there.
"Here we are, teamed up with a complete stranger and a girl who shot the shit out of us. In a castle with no people in it swarming with heartless. One seems to know exactly what he's doing as if he knows whats gunna happen. And a giant dragon just happens to show up and they're cool with it. And not to mention they had no problem letting us help them, even though Erika knows about us. If you ask me it's pretty suspicious"
He said, not suggesting betraying them. But knowing that's what Lyon would probably think to do, and he knew if he was going to pick sides, he'd wanna be with him and on the side he believes is right. And he was attempting to make that side right now.
(((i know its betrayal but sumthins gotta happen xD lol))
Max raised his eyebrow, the only indication of pain from Erika's method of wound healing that he gave was a small intake of breath.
"Remind me to kick him in the ass if I ever get to meet him," he said,"This method is just a little painful."
He gave a small smile to Erika as she healed him, and when it was finally over he widened his smile and laid his head back.
"Thanks," he said,"It's been ages since I've gotten a battle wound that was more than a scratch."
He raised and arm, pointing out a few of the scars he had on them.
"Most of these are from minor injuries that were just bad enough to scar. I was able to fight through them easily. I've got one on my left shoulder, though, that is pretty bad. I nearly got stabbed in the chest, but luckily, I ducked just in time and it went through the top of my shoulder instead. I had to run back to our camp to get myself healed."
He let out a small chuckle remembering it. It had been in his first ever battle, up against a small group of invisibles with a small scouting party. The invisibles had gotten the better of them and driven them back, chasing them back to the encampment where the archers had taken them out with a barrage of arrows.
"You wanna see it?" Max said, laughing a little, stretching out the collar of his shirt a little,"I promise I'm not a hairy ape underneath this shirt. It won't scar you for life or anything. I just kind of like my scars. They're like.....little mementos of home......."
