In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

He lowered his hand to his side once again, the firelight reflected in his eyes, it could easily be mistaken for a fire burning deep within Lea, fueling his every action. With a slight pang, it seemed the old Lea had made an attempt at a resurfacing. Something flashed upon Lea's face. Pain? Reluctance? Sadness at his choice of action? Who could know.
"Who are you really?” she asked before going into a fit of coughing. Lea watched the blood run down her mouth, leaving behind trails that commented on the crimson tears whereabouts. He only stared ahead, fully acknowlaging the fact that two more heartless had shown up. Of what they were, he wasn't sure. He could easily keep up his facade of a guard saying that there were heartless near. But with this heartless in his hand that squirmed and pitched in his arm, he'd be head pressed to convince her otherwise.
“I don’t understand…”
He took a breath before answering letting the heartless drop from his arm. This somewhat annoyed him. As his old self, he could easily get a good smacking from this girl. But now the only thing he seemed to be able to get was her heart. Looking away from her, he looked down to the heartless who was about to run off after the exhausted girl and take her heart. He pointed at it.
"Stay." he said firmly. The heartless listened without question and froze nearly immediatley. With a stern gaze, he looked back up to the girl.
"Relena... I cannot tell you who I am really. The knowledge would do you more harm than good. However, who I can be is all up to you. I can be either a friend if you choose to behave yourself, or I can be an enemy. I'm not a good person to have as an enemy. Take your choice, and stick with it. It will decide not only your fate, but mine as well. Do not make this choice lightly." Looking away and down to the heartless who stood idly by his side looking around at the scenery of the castle as no heartless had ever done before, he clicked his tongue. The red head fire user looked back to this girl. "There are some powerful heartless beyond that door."
He'd tell her that much, and leave her to fill in the blanks herself. However, he knew that if she were ever to turn down his offer the next time they'd see each other, a blade would be between them.
He was annoyed at the pain the thought brought up.

"Well since you know what it is, you should know that with all technicalities, it's no longer in this world. The King, foolish I might add, thought it would be wise to move it. I wonder if he knew how much jeopardy he placed his home, his kingdom, and his queen in. Let's give him a little snippet."
Elaeus touched the door feeling the heat behind it. Walking over with a growl, he side kicked the wall and a quaver shook through out the castle causing a crack to ripple through the wall. Looking up at it he hummed, "How lovely", before opening a dark portal to emerge on the other side in a room full of white with a single long red carpet leading to a throne.
His brows furrowed seeing Lea with company. Company he didn't order to be with him; already he was specuality what the devils the Heartless was doing. Before he had a sweet spot for interacting with humes. Elaeus will put up with him later, but turned his head to look behind him through the portal ordering Synthest to follow him. He looked back a Lea before muttering, "Why doesn't this surprise me?"
Sin scowled as Elaeus called him by the other name, but followed all the same. The heat did not hurt him... Sin had a Heart of Fire and could not be touched by the flames. He was their friend and they had worked together on many occasions. The boy's luminescent eyes focused on the girl. She was not Heartless...
Then he realized what might happen here. He ran towards her, but his arm was yanked back as the iron shackle suddenly pulled taught. "Run! Please!" His blue eyes were wide as he looked to her. "They're Heartless!" He wouldn't see another girl die by them, especially one who didn't know what she was dealing with.
He was going to get in big trouble after this, he knew it. But he couldn't let them prey on people who could do good for the Worlds. He awaited the feeling of a diamond in his back.

Rellen wiped the last remnants of blood from her chin, rubbed her eyes, she was tired, she was nearing her limit, she had a little time to regain some strength but the little strength that she had left wouldn’t last long, it looked like she would just have to hope.
That’s when two more entities walked in, one of them completely ignored her, giving her a slightest of glances, the other looked more human, he looked… nice.
"Why doesn't this surprise me?"
What surprised him? Was something happening that she wasn’t aware of, the two men had come from a dark looking portal and by the looks of things it was almost as if they knew Lea…? He was obviously no guard, he commanded heartless, he had friends who walked through portals that where as dark as the night. What had she gotten herself into?
It was then that the other one looked at her, his blue eyes… they was so… limitless, it was like you could get lost in his gaze, it was so deep.
“Run! Please!" "They're Heartless!"
Heartless? How were they…? Heartless. The pieces of the massive jigsaw that was arranging in her head slowly started to make sense, he commanded heartless, he held unbelievable power, and his friends walked through portals made of darkness… She was completely out of her depth.
Grabbing what was left of her strength, and what was left of her synthesis materials, she fumbled them around the floor quickly muttering words and make strange symbols on the floor with a finger. IF she had a few more seconds she could… There. A Small semi-circular dome arose from the floor around her, a large key shaped hole was located on the top, the hole was protected as well, and only the key could open the barrier normally. However, Rellen’s strength was so diminished that if the heartless really tried they could easily break the barrier. On the plus side the barrier was small, there wasn’t much space and the semi circular dome spread under her as well, hopefully this would hold and they would leave, she coughed up another trickle of blood as she tried to slow down the usage of the materials.
“I don’t understand. Why!” she cried, her tears tinged with red.

Lea watched the energyless Relena crumpled upon the floor, the heartless by his side, it's over-large head swayed on it's tiny body. He sighed and looked arouind. The room was like all the others. Disgustingly white. The only blemish was the red rug and chair. With a little more than a crook of his head, he looked back over to the exhausted Relena. Piled on the floor, his face stone hard, no emotion was betrayed there. He started toward her when the very familiar sound of a dark corridor opening up interupted the proceedings. His red eyes narrowed dangerously as Elaeus stepped out.
What right did he have?
"Why doesn't this surprise me?" Why didn't it surprise him? A lick of an angered flame sparked within Lea that was visible in his feiry eyes. However he spoke with control.
"Well why doesn't it surprise you?" he asked innocently, as if to play dumb. Suddenly, another came through the dark portal, the surface of which seemed liquid. He just barely glanced at the boy befor he ran at Relena. "Run! Please!" Lea's eyes widened a little as he realized what was happening here. No way!! Not after what had happened here! Not after his plan was going PERFECTLY!! But if he attacked, that could set her off. Dammit, this wasn't good! They're Heartless!" He watched Relena's reaction, which was throwing her synthisizing materials out and forming a wall, much like she had to keep the Nobody in it seemed.
Lea sighed, large and heavy. His finger's curled into a fist. A flick of flame leapt up his arm, orange and intense, curling around his forearm. He lifted his lip in almost a feral snarl, before calming. The flame disappated and faded and the snarl became no more than a grimace.
Elaeus, you should keep your pet on a shorter leash. Lest he turn and bite his master. he said with a hint of anger. "Why are you here anyway? This's my mission." he stated and snapped his fingers. Around him appeared several dark orbs. They surrounded him and each produced it's own heartless. From half, came mere shadows, from the other, a minute bomb. He examinded them. "And it would seem I'm doing it rather well. Or do you grace me with your presence for some other reason?" he said, his voice carrying a slightly cynicale tone. A smile touched his lips for a second, before it vanished underneath his mask. He doubted Elaues would care to discuss Relena here, and in any case, Lea's plan wasn't in jeaprody to badly. Relena didn't seem to have much energy about her, much less the energy to keep that shield up for long. He'd just have to wait her out.
Max stood on the teleportation pad inside his gummi ship, which was in orbit around the world of Disney Castle. He took a deep breath. If what Jadis and Mikael had told him was true....things weren't going to be getting any easier from here on out. They'd only get harder.
With that, he activated the teleporation pad, and the next thing he knew, he was in a room, standing next to a wall of flames. There seemed to be three other people...no, four other people. Two were arguing with one-another, a third was shouting to the fourth about something, and the fourth was inside some kind of dome with a keyhole in it. He didn't have a clue about what was going on, except for two things: the one screaming had yelled "They're Heartless!" and there was a heartless standing next to one of the ones arguing. The one with flames creeping up his arm.
Max's instincts immediately kicked in, the hair on the back of his neck standing on end at his uneasiness as he gathered as much water as he could from the room while backing away as the two argued, not quite aware of his presence since they were so focused on each other.
He let out a silent curse to himself in his mind as he noticed how much water he had at his disposal right now. The flames covering the door had dried out the moisture in the room, leaving him with little water to fight with, if the need arose. Something in his mind, though, told him he'd need more.
As the two quit arguing, he knew that they'd likely noticed him by now. So, as he continued shuffling slowly away from the fire around the door, his spear held ready as his gaze moved continuously from one of the arguers to the other. He glanced over to the woman underneath the shield. Maybe that was Rellen. There was only one way to find out.
"Hey, you in the bubble," he yelled out to her, glancing in her direction only for a moment and then resuming his watch of the two who had been arguing,"Are you Rellen?"
It was right after this that Max, as he turned his gaze to the arguer with the flames on his arm, recognized one of the two arguers from a description of one of those intelligent Heartless Mikael had given him. What was his name? Ale? Lae? No....it was...
Lea. That was it! Lea. He was one of the Heartless' leaders that Mikael had told him about. His fire user friend hadn't known about many others, but....he'd personally met this one, and told him some things.
Now Max's unesiness sky-rocketed. He looked to the other one he was arguing with. There was something about this guy that didn't sit right with Max. Something about him just...put him on edge.
It was then that Max realized he just might have bitten off a little more than he could chew this time....

(ALSO HER NAME IS RELLEN FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! @.@ *got tired of seeing RELENA*)
The Earth Titan merely snorted at Lea's questions, "You tend to have a selection of company...especially your fondness for humes."
A feral growl to distorientated by various sounds of animals emitted from the Earth Titan. His fingers flexed before the back of his hand assulted Synthest's cheek. Her eyes underneath his blindfold narrowed in spite. "Speak out of terms again Heartless. Another word of mutiny and our little compact will end with the little minute life you have."
Elaeus loathed babying and weaklings, and it disgusted him more that Synthest was strong enough to retain his form when his ignorant denial puts him lower than a shadow. "I will deal with you personally, nor will you like it."
"Elaeus, you should keep your pet on a shorter leash. Lest he turn and bite his master," A brow quirked at the irony. Grabbing Synthest's collar, Elaeus continued further forcing past Lea with a shove.
"You should learn the same lesson Lea. Last time I check you're not one to advise me anything unless requested. Step out of rank again, and I'll put you on a leash. Also if it wasn't for me you would be lazing about. I have far important more things to check up on than your delivery service." Walking forward, he made the earth quiver causing the floor beneath the throne begin to crack. With an exhale, the quake shook throughout the castle before rocky spires damaged the throne from underneath to reveal a secret stairway. Elaeus didn't care for being neat about it, since he needed to get what was desired.
Smelling a heart nearby, the Earth Titan didn't even bother to look at the source, "Since you have this so under control, then rid of the disturbances." The Heartless taunted Lea before descending down the stairs.
"Let's go," the order was directed towards Synthest. It was going to be a debut of chaos, as he descended undergroud to find the treasure of this world.
Rellen wasn’t completely aware of her surroundings; she was tired, exhausted, her nose dribbled her blood and her eyes where bloodshot, threatening to close at any moment.
"Hey, you in the bubble," “Are you Rellen?"
Rellens head moved slightly towards the direction of the voice, she attempted to tell the male yes. Her mouth grasped the words, but her voice box made a strange slurred sound “yeruhhhh”
Rellens eyes began to shut, she didn’t even know that the other two where gone, she was going to lose consciousness if she held this shield together any longer. It was better to stay conscious for now. Slowly, she let her ability slip, the shield cracked, and shattered into strange shards of glass that splattered outwards around her. She fell into a pile, and curled up, she was still conscious, but she wasn’t going anywhere, any time soon.
(Sorry about the wait, could've sworn it was someone else's turn. *coughSyncough* and this is most likely going to be crap, I've got other things going on muse wise T-T)
"You tend to have a selection of company...especially your fondness for humes."
Lea smirked at the irony behind this statement, since the company he currently chose could prove vital to the organizations efforts. If, of course, a girl who could open the hearts of the worlds prove useful to an organization full of heartless. The smirk then evolved to a grin as the resounding smack echoed across the room. Punishment, a tad amusing when it wasn't you behind the hand. Not that Lea had ever recieved the punishment.
"You should learn the same lesson Lea. Last time I check you're not one to advise me anything unless requested. Step out of rank again, and I'll put you on a leash. Also if it wasn't for me you would be lazing about. I have far important more things to check up on than your delivery service."
"Then why dilly-dally around here?" Lea questioned in an innocently ignorant tone as Elaues shoved past him. He didn't turn to watch the earth titan tear the ground asunder with his ability. It was then that another feeling assualted his senses.
Another Heart. Gritting his teeth he turned to the boy who stood beside Rellen.
“yeruhhhh”
"Since you have this so under control, then rid of the disturbances."
Lea opted to ignore the taunting that was so evident in Elaueses voice, and wait for the look on his face when he brought Rellen to the Dark XII castle. Or at least told him about her 'ability'
"Gladly." he said, and snapped. That created a thin wall of flame between the boy and Rellen. Forming his hand into a fist, flames began to erupt as he inceased the thermal energy at his hand, forming it. Soon enough, three foot of flame was proturding from his closed fist. With an almost feral growl, he ripped his fist away from the flame and from it was drawn a katana. The handguard was a living flame, eternally coiling and cracking. And it was totally under Lea's control. Watching the boy he smirked.
Max's attention was momentarily diverted from the exchange of the other two as the woman in the shield responded. She looked beaten up really badly. These guys must've been beating her mercilessly. He took advantage of the others' bickering to run around them and over to where she was when her shield dropped as she gave out the best kind of answer she could.
"Yeruhhhh," she said, her lip seemingly swollen from the beating. However, he knew it was her best attempt at saying 'yes', so he had no time to hesitate.
"Good, Rellen. I'm Max. Lady Jadis sent me to find you. It seems I got here just in time," he said, kneeling down next to her, his spear on the ground at his side,"C'mon, let's get out of here."
He started to reach out to her to grab ahold of her so he could teleport them both up to his gummi ship, but before he could touch her, a wall of flame sprang up between them. Max's head snapped over to the other guy, the one who had been manipulating flames just moments earlier. His gaze was now settled on Max, a katana with a handguard of flames in his hand.
"Have at you," he said somewhat quietly.
Max just narrowed his eyes and gritted at the sight, bringing what little water he'd managed to muster to bear in the room towards him. He rose, picking up his pike as he did, and brought it into a ready stance.
"So.....you're Lea...," Max said, slowly beginning to circle. He'd been in a situation like this before. This was the only way a Fire Mage like this Heartless could overcome the advantage Water Mages had over them, and give themselves the advantage. Max certainly had gotten himself into a real mess this time,"I"m going to look forward to running my pike through your face, you Heartless scum."
As he said the word 'scum', Max sent the water spheres he'd managed to scrap together flying at the Heartless, and ran after him right behind them. That katana was going to be somewhat faster than his pike, so he'd need to keep this Heartless at a bit of a distance....until he could think of a way to get rid of all these flames and find more water to control.
Post by fearonaris on Feb 12, 2010 21:40:20 GMT -4
Lea grinned as the boy stood, and began to circle. This would be simple enough. A couple parries, a lunge here or there, a couple transportations and he'd have another heart to add to his collection. Lady luck smiled widely on Lea today.
"So.....you're Lea...,"
A smirk touched the heartless' lips. "A pleasure I'm sure. And who's heart will I be taking today?" he asked in a casual, almost mocking tone for the situation.
"I"m going to look forward to running my pike through your face, you Heartless scum."
Even as the word 'scum' was said, Lea could see the water missiles hurtling toward him. With little more than a smirk he lowered his katana to be even with his hip, the heartless waited until the water was only a few feet away. Then, a small orb of darkness about as large as his chest encircled him and he suddenly disappeared with only the hope the water-balls weren't homing missiles. He reappeared behind the boy.
"Going to have to do that if you want to get anywhere near my face." he mocked. As he spoke, he raised the thermal energy around the room, and threw up a hand. Flames swirled around his arm, circling up toward a specific goal. His enclosed fist.
As the flames finally attained their goal, Lea opened his palm and extended his arm out in front of him. A kind of arena erupted from the ground around the two, and the temperature increased to extremes. Lea grinned and the flaming hand-guard jumped in response. Raising the blade he gave one slash manipulating the thermal energy already in the air to create a flaming arc, hurtling straight for the boy.
(I'm not all that sure about this, any complaints about anything that doesn't seem right and I'll amend them as soon as I'm able.
Max immediately withdrew the water spheres back to himself as soon as he saw the black ball engulf Lea. He brought the quad of them around him, circling protectively to keep him as protected as he could. He stayed there, watching as the ball that had taken Lea just...disappear. Where had he gone? Had he run?
"Going to have to do that if you want to get anywhere near my face," he heard the Heartless' voice from behind him.
Behind him! Of course!
Max spun around as quickly as he could as the Heartless brought flames up into his fist, and as the flames leapt up around the both of them, encircling them in a kind of arena, Max sent the water spheres flying past him and towards Lea, at point blank range, with all the force of a freshly fired cannon. There was no way he could use that teleportation to dodge them at this range, as slow as it was. No, the only hope he'd have to dodge these would be a blindly lucky dodge.
And just for good measure, before the heartless could do anything else to react, he thrusted out towards him with his pike.
(hope you don't mind me ignoring that last attack Lea made, but Max countered before he was able to even get to that so....I figured it'd disrupt it and thought I'd give you a chance to do something to respond to Max's counter before I responded to that heat wave. XD)

Rellen was still collapsed in a heap. Her arms had folded around her knees and she was tucked into a ball. She wasn’t used to this, why were they fighting so?
She watched as this poor boy fought for her freedom, had she truly become so dependant on others that she endangered children? She couldn’t… do this…
With great effort she rolled so that she was sat down, her arms behind her for support, heat blasted through her as she saw the arena of flames engulf the two, they was really going to kill each other. The boy.
“STOP!” she screamed as loud as she could, admittedly it wasn’t that loud with the lack of energy and the fighting that was going about but she hoped that she would be heard.
“Please… just stop… Lea, leave the boy alone…” She inhaled deeply, she didn’t want to do this, but if it meant she could save that poor boy it must be done. “ Ill come with you, no arguments… just don’t hurt the boy.”

((Not sure about this one. Any complaints and yeah, I'll do whatever.))
Just as Lea prepared for an attack, the boy sent all his water spheres hurtling straight for Lea. The two elements perfectly counteracted one another, but luckily Lea had the upper hand. The flames before the door had drawn out a lot of water from the air. The arena of flame was doing more damage to the humidity obviously. As the aqua-line spheres hurtled for Lea he matched them perfectly with his slashing. The flames erupted from his blade just as a water ball was about to collide with him. A hiss, some steam, and the water ball continued on behind the fire-master. Immediatley afterwords, he collapsed into a roll to the left. Luckily, he dodged the majority of the orbs, however one did nick his shoulder as he came to a crouch. It knocked him somewhat off balance, and decided to use that to his advantage. He fell upon his back and went into a roll to avoid the spear head that would have easily pierced his skull. Coming to a stand, he began to rush the boy, but stopped as he heard a voice beneath the flames, and battle.
“STOP!” he heard her say. With little more than a cocke of his head, he raised his free hand even with his hip, before letting it drop slightly. The flames lowered so he could get sight of Rellen. He kept his red eyes carefully on the boy.
“Please… just stop… Lea, leave the boy alone…" he heard her take a heavy breath before she continued. “ Ill come with you, no arguments… just don’t hurt the boy.” A smile touched heartless lips.
"Well... at least one human I've met today has the sense that god gave a banana. Oh, why do that misconceived plans of the ignorant have to be intertwined in the genius plans of the genius?" He shrugged. "Oh well." he said raising his hand. The flames roared higher, their orange twisting, clawing tendrils reaching higher and higher for the ceiling. "Ta-ta for now." he said before he was engulfed by a ball of darkness and disappeared. More quickly than the last time.
Out of the flames he appeared, red eyes alive with a victorious fire. He may not have won the battle, but he'd won the war. Which was always nice. "Hate to leave you in there, but you're a snag in my net. Looking around at the amount of minute bombs around, he snapped his fingers. A portal of darkness opened and he pointed into it. The minute bombs began to file out inside. Looking back to the arena of flames, he awaited his chance to enter, with his heart-opening captive.
