In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

( i've got nooo idea what to do, but i shall try I guess <3 )
After all of the events of the day, Saffron was pretty tired, and it was sunset, so it would be getting dark soon.
"What are we goining to do now?" She asked laying on her stomach, pretty much covered in sand, which she honestly didn't care about anymore.
"I'ts going to be getting dark soon I would think, judgeing by the sky." she said and slightly looked up at it. "Is there anything to do here when its dark?" she asked. There were things to do in Traverse Town, and it was alwayd dark there, so it was a possibility....
Mercator started to grin from ear to ear. As he tucked away his pair of sunglasses since the light of the sun was diminishing fast. Looking at Saffron he said: "But of course there is. Quickly now, go look for firewood now that we still have light. And some thin pointy sticks so we can roast these later."
From the cool box, Mercator pulled out a plastic bag filled with marshmallows. And then went on about preparing the beach for a campfire. Digging out a shallow pit to contain the fire in with his feet.

Saffron simly smiled at Mercator when he pulled out the marshmellows to roast. Generally she'd think of doing that while camping... but on a beach was fine too.
"Alright. I'll se what I can find." Saffron said and stood up, and brushed herself off with all of the sand that had stuck to her while she was laying down.
Saffron looked for quite a bit for wood around. She honestly didn't know where to find any in this place, so she simply looked at the ground as she walked.
She did eventually come bck though, with a pretty good pile in her arms. "i'm sorry i took so long Mercator." She said and dropped the wood on th ground close by his hole he had dug. "It took me a while tto find a good amount theres just random pecies of wood all over the sand here!" she said, not realiseing that that was generally how beaches worked.
"Ah yes, driftwood, perfect. Well done lass. Now we'll have a proper evening at this beautiful beach."
After some minutes with fondling with the wood and some dry grass that Mercator used as tinder, the fire started to burn and slowly grow larger. Against the bloodred sunset that sank behind the distant ocean horizon. The light of the fire grew and gave them a warm cozy area underneath a darkening sky where the stars started to shine brighter and brighter.
sitting down on one of the towels, Mercator opened up the bag of marshmallows and pricked one on a stick. Holding it over the fire so that he hot air would slowly roast it. "Mind you, roasting marshmallows is an art. Don't get it to close to the flames or it will catch fire. Hold it up high and let the hot air do the work."
The old wanderer handed a pointy stick with a marshmallow over to Saffron as he invited her next to him on the large beach towel. The dancing lights casted flickering shadows over the sand. And reflected in the elderly eyes with much intensity.

After Saffron had set the wood down, she remainded standing and waited to see if Mercator needed her to do anything else.
Once the fire had started up, it started to get pretty dark. She simply watched Mercator to see what he was upto until he made his marshmellow roasting comment.
This made Saffron laugh a little bit, though she wpouldn't saywhy until she sat down and started to roast a marshmellow herself.
"You know. You remind me of my father somtimes." She said turned her head to smile at Mercator. "What you said about the marshmellows, sounds like somthing he'd tell me."
Thsi was one of the first times that Saffron had really though about home in quite a while... she wondered how everything was going there. while she was thinking Saffron haddn't really been paying attention to the state of her marshmellow, and it almost caught o fire. "Woops, I need to pay more attention." she said and moved it back up near thetop of the fire.
Mercator just chuckled as Saffron nearly burned her marshmallow. There were plenty left in the bag incase she messed some up. The old man brought his own to his mouth. Blew on it with his lips to lower the heat a bit and then bites off a chunk. It was roasted crispy on the outside and still smooth on the inside. Feeling the sweet sensation filling his mouth. He then raised it back over the fire. Keeping it warm for later bites.
The elderly stared into the dancing flames. Sometimes losing himself into a trance like state. The licking fire was hypnotizing. The grin on his face slowly melted the longer his mind wandered. A deeper sad expression was breaking through the wrinkles and cracks of the riped skin. With a sigh he then said softly: "I'm sure your father would have brought you out here if he ever had the chance. It's never to late for catching up on stuff. But more importantly lass, did you have a fun day?"

Saffron was a little worried when Mercator's smile suddenly faded away as he spoke to her again.
"I did Mercator; thank you for showing me a fun day!" she said and smiled at him, the ate a peice of her marshmellow as well, itwas really good!
However, she was still a little worried about Mercators litle change in mood. "Hey, Mercator, I was meaning for what I said to be a compliment; I like you enough to compaire you withmy dad. Don't get all frowny faced on me." she said and playfully smiled at him.
Saffron then started to look around the area where they where in. Aside from the fire, and the stars, it was dark now. After she had finished off the marshmellow that she was roasting, Saffron simply laid back in the sand and looked up at the stars.
"It's weird to think no matter where you are, the sky is pretty much the same." she said slightly quietly, in a way just thinking to herself.
With worried eyes, Mercator joined Saffron and also looked up. Gazing at the night sky littered with stars. But he was not looking up with a sense of wonder or being awed by the beauty. He looked upward with a deep sadness and even a hint of fear. With a bit of a dry mouth he said with a slightly hoarse voice: "That's not the same sky it was some time ago. There used to be more stars... much more stars. Darkness is slowly taken the place of all the little bright spots that humanity has left."
The old traveler sighed as he lowered his head again. His frown was making him look very old and fragile. The campfire was slowly dying out by lack of fresh wood. And the night started to grow colder by the minute. The elder was sad. He had given her a fun day. But now that day had come to an end. And it was what he had to risk now that robbed the joy from him. Slowly Mercator stood up from the towel and the sand. Standing upright as he kept his head down. With a serious tone in his voice he said: "The day off is over. Now it is time Saffron."
Mercator glanced over at her. And continued with a voice that stressed importance. "Saffron, this place is called 'Destiny Islands' And besides having a fun day I also brought you here for another reason. Many great people that play an important role in the balance of Light and Dark are related to this place. I believe that this place can show one, their destiny. But it is a dangerous and riskful undertaking. Are you willing to discover yours? Even if it means it could be your end?"

( gggaahhh XD i was jsut rping Kuri so my imidiate reaction, RUN AWAY AND CRY! jklol Saffi is a badass no kuri instricts XD)
Saffron was getting a little worried about Mercator.... he seemed fine and happy all day, but now anything she said to try and cheer him up, made him sadder. she looked over a little concerntly at him as he spoke about how many stars there used to be. He seemed so sad... it made Saffron a bit sad too... She was very confused when Mercator sudenly decided to stand... she sat up, but he started to speak before she could stand as well. She looked up at him the entire time he spoke, without turning away once. "I... I dont know Mercator." Saffron said, then looked back down at the sand.
Discovering my own destiny huh? she thought and picked up a handful of sand, and allowed it to run through her fingers. I have no idea what my destiny intails... and as he said, it could kill me... would it be woth it? I dont want to die... im still young. But at the same time... I want to help. Im stronger then some people around.. and I feel like I could make a diffrence... what should I do? She though while watching the last of the sand run though her fingers.
Saffron sighed and looked bac up. her cheerful expression gone as well... replaced with confustion, and worry. She sighed " Should I?" she asked quietly, although pretty much knowing she wasnt getting an answer. she had to decide this for herself.
She looked slightly away agian, at the darkness of the ocean and agian started to think. If I dont try to find out what this destiny of mine is... Ill never be able to help anyone. Nothing will change, and that might even kill me.. I shouldnt be scared of dieing in the first place... I never have been before... why should I be now? This thought seemed to stick in her head more then the others. No. I shouldnt be scared. I wont die. I cant allow that. Saffron then looked up agian at Mercator. She then stood up, and brushed herself off.
what do I have to do to find this out?" she asked and looked into his eyes. Im willing to give this whole destiny thing a try, if I knew where to start."
Mercator smiled and lifted up his cane as he pointed at the ocean No, not the ocean, but at the large silhouette of the small island that was just a bit of the shore of the main island. "It all begins there." He whispered while keeping pointing at the play island.
Mercator lowered his cane as he moved closer to the surf. Looking for a small rowboat that could take them both there. The villagers left their rowboats simply on the beach and near the wooden docks. There was no theft here. Something that the old wanderer wasn't planning on introducing either. But for now he felt the need to "borrow" one. Surely it would be to late in the evening to bother the owner with such a minority, as long as it's returned to his place in the morning.
He glanced over at Saffron and said: "Lets go lass, row to the play island."

Saffron was a little confused as to how her destiny would be decided in such a placed called the "play island." That just seemed to her like a name a kid would give an island.... what was so important there?
Saffron wouldn't argue with Mercator about this though... not that she generaly planned argueing with him at all.....
"Whatever you say Mercator, lets go." She said and smiled at him then hopped in one of the boats.
