In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Arguably, Shiru had never looked more serious in the three years Lily had known him. He didn't move, just waiting for her to take it.
It was more painful than he could have thought it would be. But some small, growing part of him was convinced this was the right thing to do, and that was what mattered. Wasn't it? It's just a sword, he kept telling himself, but he didn't quite believe that. It'd become if not quite a part of him, a symbol on which he placed a lot of meaning. The same sword that had both saved and cost lives.
"You better take care of it. Okay?"
What was more important to him: keeping possession of a sword, or keeping his best friend safe? Which would he rather lose?
That made it easier, thinking of it in those terms.
All he could think to do was nod in response. Shiru hadn't thought beyond that.
Well, it was done now. He... he had another sword, right? One bound to him...
Enough of that. Instead of falling back to contemplation about what doing that meant, he forced another smile, shrugged, then winced when the previous action moved his arm. Now that he no longer had adrenaline in the way, as well, his tolerance for pain was dramatically less.
Perhaps he was just overreacting to completely change the subject, as his next action was to dramatically clutch at his arm the moment he was reminded of it, making various sounds of pain. An excuse? Absolutely. He'd... think later.
Yes. Later. Later was good.

She was just as glad for the distraction, herself, she'd had no idea where to go from there. She knew how to do formal, but it was odd.
"Ahh, look at that, it's--" she cast about for somewhere to put Scylling, settling on leaning it up against the wall. "Let me see that. Did you dress this?" She took his arm from him to fix the bandaging.
((End scene?))
