In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Hm... I guess I'll go ahead and answer some of the other things that others have, too. lol
My favorite legendaries that have been released so far would have to be Articuno, Suicune, Raikou and definitely Raquaza. I do wish that they made better looking dragon legendaries, though. lol xD
My favorite game... or games, rather... would have to be HeartGold/SoulSilver and then there's the R/S/E series that I thoroughly enjoyed. ^_^
I has quite a few favorite pokemon, one from every legendary group (ignoring D/P/P), though as I obsessively level them, trying to evolve them and get a full legit Pokedex (I've been using AR up to this point), I realize that, with the exceptions of hoppip and its evos, they all have some big power.
My two favorite common pokemon (meaning you can get more than one) are Gardevior and Butterfree. Now, that may seem weird, but I gotta say that Caterpie has been pretty underappreciated. Butterfree is one of the few pokemon that learns Sleep Powder and Dream Eater, and Sleep Powder is one of the best sleep moves around (it has never once missed or failed for me). I made Butterfree my main in LG, based solely on that combo. And Gardevior? My main in Ruby, and extremely powerful.
Now, onto my others: Zapdos, Mew, Suicune, Lugia, Celebi, Kyogre. I prefered the Gold and Silver series because it was the only true sequel in the normal Pokemon series. You got to go back into the world you once stomped all over in R/B/Y. It's just more fun that way.
