In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Time crept by so slowly as it always does in Traverse Town. In fact time seemed to stand still in this eternally dark place. Halted in the middle of the night. A clear cloudless sky showed a starlit ceiling high above them. But with much fewer stars then there used to be. And with each star that falls, it seemed that the light of Traverse Town itself was also diminishing by a bit. The streets were abandoned like normal. Since most residents don't dare to venture outside with the constant threat of the Heartless. Lurking in every shadow, lying in wait after every corner. Only the brave and the foolish risk setting foot outside. Only the ignorant arrivals, often desoriëntated by their ordeals, are unaware of the dangers. And most pay the price while only a few survive the initiation that Traverse Town brings.
So when somebody enters the café, it is a moment of great interest to the public. Especially since this costumer was greatly different from the normal range of visitors and the people currently present. From the darkened doorway, a tall figure emerged and stepped into the establishment. The lights fell onto his body, reflected by his silverly plate mail armor. The sound of metal en silver echoed through the room. The contours of a wolf theme became visible. A helmet shaped like the head of a wolf hides the visitors face. More ornaments covered the noble knight's equipment. A large black leather cape billowed from his shoulders. Contained by a large shield strapped on his back. His weapon was a long sword in a decorated scabbard on his hip. The adult male calmly took a couple of steps forward while the door fell shut behind him. On his shield, an emblem of a wolf howling at the full moon could be seen.
The tall knight remained standing still for a moment. Taking in the surrounding. His helmet and armor giving him an inhumanly appearance. While heavy breathing could be heard coming out from the mouthpiece. Slowly the knight brought his two hands, covered in gauntlets, to the side of his neck. With two snapping sounds, he unhinged the locks that kept his helmet firmly secured on his shoulders. Followed by the careful removal of the wolf helmet from his head. Long black, slightly curled locks of hair fell down and cascaded over his shoulders. While a pale face of a man, late in his twenties, unveiled to them. With narrow, cold looking, wood brown eyes.
His head glanced over the others that were in the café, first his eyes fell on a white haired young man sitting at a table. (Daisuke) who was being addressed by another white haired young woman. (Heaven) Looking very concerned about the young man.
Then his head tilted upward to the group at the far table. seeing a short cut blond hair young man. (Arthas) With another tall dark blue haired young man. (Rokaku) It was then that his gaze fell on the wolf (Aramus) that his look changed. His eyes grew a bit bigger as the knight looked surprised at the normally feral creature sitting here calmly like a tame dog. Then the pale black haired knight looked to a young boy with medium length brown hair (Jack) until they finally rested on the ebony haired head of Mikeal. He stared into his grayish blue eyes for a moment and then the corners of his lips subtlety curled into a faint smile.
Tugging his helmet under his shoulders he then confidently stepped toward Mikeal and the rest at the table until only a meter away. Addressing Mikeal personally he spoke with a deep and soft voice. "Greetings again young warrior. It comforts me to see thou still well after our endeavors earlier." His look then went to the group currently gathered at the table and he continued: "I hope I am not disturbing thee in important matters."
(I have permission from Shun to break order. So....here goes!) Arthas' eyes widened when the man came over to him. Why did he want Arthas to come with him? Despite his doubts, Arthas found himself standing up and following the man, watching him curiously. But another scene caught his eye. He looked to his left and say Heaven tending to someone who looked like they had fallen from somewhere. He smiled, knowing the man was in good hands. He also found it funny that he and Heaven ran into each other like this all the time.
But his thoughts focused on the strange man again. Arthas had observed that he had talked to some of the other people that were around the cafe, which meant he was planning to do some sort of speech or recruitment. Recruitment.......that word floated through Arthas' mind, filling him with curiosity. It would be nice to be part of an army again.......He thought about how he would respond to the man, but could only come up with one idea. "What do you want from us? And what is your name?" he asked, to the point and direct.
Wiser to not accept the handshake? Who, other than a martial artist, could actually use a handshake to their advantage? But, as far as Jack knew, the stranger could be a martial artist. But he had been watching Jack fight? Either Jack was blind, or this guy was good. He'd have to pay attention to his environment when he was fighting. Unfortunately, he got a form of tunnel vision, so it would be harder in practice than in theory.
Jack was now curious. A group he was creating? And Jack seemed to be a 'valuable member?' He had no choice but to follow now. He walked behind the man, ending up at a table with two men and a wolf, all but one of whom had been standing at the entrance to the café before. Jack glanced at the wolf, cautious not to look into the eyes. He knew how canines could be.
Then another stranger came to them. It was an armoured man, with long black hair and carrying a metal helmet that resembled- a wolf's head? Blinking and shaking his head, Jack said, "Either this is a weird joke or I'm on some kind of medication and don't remember it." Considering the notion, he added, mainly to himself, "For all I know, Saga could have given me some experimental drug, or something..."
Remembering his initial reason for being here, he glanced around the café for the woman, though she was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he'd have to leave without saying anything. But after the wolf-less man at the table asked a question, Jack turned his attention to the guy who seemed to know him, wanting to know the same thing.
Rokaku noticed a man coming over to his table (Mikael) and started talking to the other man at his table (Arthas). He stood up, to reply"Not to be impolite or anything, but can someone PLEASE tell what just happened inside the cafe, and whats happening out here!" He noticed two more men approaching the table now (Jack and Lucas) then a man suddenly fell from the sky (Daisuke) and just before he started to run over he stood up like nothing had happened, and then feathers taking on the form of a woman (Heaven) ran over to him, Rokaku was confused as hell about what just happened and whats happening now.
((Skipping Reaver: his time has run out and he's currently away))
Mikael simply blinked as the other men started to nuke him with questions, now fully aware that their reactions were quite... wary as they carried hints of confusion among spoken words. The wolf tamer and his friend obviously had no idea of the situation's importance. The man shook his head, slightly chuckling at Arthas's mild-aggressive speech. Sapphire eyes turned to look at him with understanding before turning to Rokaku for a moment to finally rest on Jack.
"Such hostility isn't needed, and I am sure all of this is quite real and not another of this... Saga's illusions." He wrinkled his nose, glancing around to make sure there weren't any eavesdroppers before turning to Arthas once he made sure they were clear. "In short, I am here to recruit you in a group I'm creating. I have seen you fight in the Second District, and I am sure you have spotted me once or twice. Now, as for what happened here," Mikael turned to Rokaku, giving him a mild-annoyed look. "A nobody gave a girl safe passage to a new world, nothing special."
Suddenly, another familiar face showed up. The one that calmed himself Sir Lucas had approached the group of five, talking directly to Mikael. Oh well... now that he thought about it, the knight would be a valuable asset for the Guardians. "It's good to see you again, Sir Lucas. Would you like to join us as well?"
Observing the table and it's occupants, it came to the knight's attention that these people were not acquaintances of Mikeal. Their confused and questioning expressions gave that away quite clearly. It made him wonder what Mikeal was doing here addressing this diverse group of youngsters. Perhaps warning them of the lurking dangers outside. Still, so far the older knight had seen nearly nothing then people younger, and also far more powerful then himself. Youngsters and even children capable of incredible magic and mind boggling abilities.
Sir Lucas didn't smile or looked anything resembling happy toward Mikeal and the others. His pale face serious and cold. But his voice was soft and deep as he responded. "I do have the time to join dee for a pint of ale or cup of mede this evening, Mikeal. One can not know how long this timely respite last before the dark spawn returns to challenge us again."
Sir Lucas turned around and took hold of a chair from another empty table and dragged it closer to take his seat at the already filled on. His helmet he placed on the neighboring empty table from which he had taken the chair from. So that it wouldn't be in the way. The tall and broad man also removed the large kite shield from his back and placed it alongside his helmet on the empty table. The silver symbolic shield of the wolfs head howling toward a full moon shimmered of it's black surface. He threw his black leather cape over the chair as he squatted down in his armor on the chair.
Looking over at the others sitting at the table he formal introduced himself to them with a grim but loud voice. "Greetings this evening, young ones. My name is Sir Lucas Lunaris the VII. Knight of the Lunar Goddess and son of the Baron of Nordenfrosd. Spokesperson of Queen Minnie of the castle of Disney." Sir Lucas slightly bowed his head as he closed his eyes. And then after a subtle moment righted it again as he kept staring at them all with his cold gaze. Especially at the boy with his wolf. Who interested the wolf knight greatly.
"recruting. I knew it." Arthas smiled to himself, amazed, as always, that people were looking for others to fight. But, hell, this could be interesting, and it might help him get into Tranvia! "What is this group called? And what is our purpose?" he said, hiding his normally carefree demeanor behind the wall of a warrior. "And do we explore other worlds?" In short, Arthas wanted to know if they could possibly save Tranvia. He said nothing after that and waited for a response.
Heaven sighed, just sitting there, watching as she swung her legs back and forth, waiting for the young man's reply. She had made herself well heard so there was no way that he couldn't hear her...perhaps he was just adapting to his surroundings, it was already obvious he had no idea where he was, but no matter what, she'd stay by his side...
It soon came to her attention that there was in fact quite a lot of rather unique-looking people within the area, some of which she remembered, all of which seemed to be males, why did that make her feel slightly uneasy?
She was always one to get up and introduce herself, but right now, she didn't want to seem rude to the young man she was tending to, it wouldn't be polite to just leave him or ignore that he was there, no, she gave him her full attention just to make sure that he really was OK, besides, she felt a bit timid whilst looking at everyone else, they seemed very busy discussing matters of importance.
Because of Daisuke's lots of deep thinking, he wasn't aware of the girl behind him. He looked up and saw her beautiful face, but as it seems she was concerned for him. So he spoke
''Oh sorry! I was in deep thought and wasn't aware you were behind me. My sincerest apologies!'' he stood up and bowed after the apology.
''As I can see your concerned... I'm alright, thank you for you concern! The fall hurt momentarily, but I'm stronger than I look!'' he giggled and continued answering some questions the girl had
''As for ''from where I am''... You could say I lived in another planet... or dimension? I'm not sure what to call all this what happened. The most reasonable explanation would be I was teleported from a dimension to this one. It happened all when...'' his eyes looked down again and was sad once more
''They attacked... Some demons... There eyes were yellow, there bodies were covered... In darkness. They attacked our village... And there were so many. Different shapes... I can't believe I survived actually. Whenever a hit them with my feet or hand's, they were only pushed back. The only thing that saved me was this sword'' he pointed on his sheathed sword on his back and continued
'' I don't know what happened to everyone. Everybody was gone. Even...'' he stopped at the last moment saying her name, he put a fake smile, toughened up and continued
''Well! I'll manage to find the reason for all this! *hehe* But, tell me, what is your purpose being here? Do you live here or...?'' he finished his sentence and awaited for her response
Even after Arthas had asked the man, he got no response. He crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently. Yet no answer still came, so he looked at the man and said, "I'm going to help that young man over there. If you need me, that is where I'll be." And he did so, walking over and squatting next to Heaven. "Excuse me, sir, but are you alright? Do you require any assistance?" He looked at the man with question on his face, letting hi worry show. "Will you be alright?"
Though he didn't find it necessarily polite to just walk away when someone was talking, Jack was getting impatient as well. This stranger was being too vague, and still hadn't introduced himself. Jack himself was about to ask some questions, but the boy with blond hair asked the questions he had in mind. Jack looked to the boy that was recruiting them for answers.
But Jack was interested in this group. If it had something to do with fighting off the Heartless, he was willing to go for it. Of course, he knew that he'd have to do a bit of grunt work, but as long as he had the chance to bust some heads, he was up for it. Though Jack had to admit, it was a bit of a coincidence that these people that were to be recruited were all here at the same time. Perhaps it was fate.
((Disgustingly short. I'll try to do more next time.))
Rokaku noticed that some people were leaving, some showing up, and some asking questions. He really wanted to know what this guy wanted, but someone had already asked some questions about it. He noticed some interesting characters around the cafe, one being the man in wolf themed armor, another character being a woman who arrived from feathers. But none of them were as interesting as the man who came over to the table(Mikael).
(not much, but hopefully this will get this thread going again!)
Mikael nodded at the wolven warrior, gesturing for him to sit and join them. He eyed the people before him, analyzing their corporal language as well as their auras' nature. The four of them were fine warriors and seemed interested in the group... but he could never be -too- sure. What if one of them went on to expose the conspiration? Technically speaking, it -was- a conspiration. The Heartless were everywhere, and they had eyes and ears in every single world. He shook his head, attempting to send such negative thoughts away. No... they were fine men.
He had studied them himself.
Arthas, the impatient one, was the one to break the silence, launching questions at the pyromancer one after another. "What is this group called? And what is our purpose? And do we explore other worlds?" Mikael was asked. Sure, he have replied to every single one of his questions in normal circumstances, but just as he thought about opening his mouth the one known as Sir Lucas decided to introduce himself.
The raven headed man blinked upon listening to his titles, especially the third. "Spokeperson of Queen Minnie... of the castle of Disney?" he thought, wondering if he was thinking about the same place. Last time he checked, Disney Castle was practically in ruins, thanks to the efforts of the Dark XII and previous attacks by Maleficent and Organization XIII's Marluxia. If this woman... if this Queen Minnie had truly returned to claim what was rightfully hers... maybe... maybe she could give them her support! After all, The Guardians had yet to get a base of their own; Disney Castle would be fine as a temporary home.
"So... Disney Castle was reborn from its ashes? I'm glad, and I hope that place doesn't bring any other bad memories in the future." Unfortunately, Arthas had become irked at the fact that he had been practically ignored and decided to leave the group. It was of no importance, he would go and talk to Heaven as well. Mikael glanced at the remaining trio, his sight quickly traveling between one and another.
"As you know, the Heartless have started to take over the worlds looking for more hearts. I believe most of your worlds suffered the same fate as mine: their heart was swallowed whole by those creatures. And they are becoming stronger, following a small group of Heartless with something similar to human intelligence. If they were to take over more worlds... the results would be... catastrophic."
"But there's still hope, and that's how The Guardians were born. Our goal is to give the Universe back the peace it deserves. Light and Darkness are equal forces by nature, but when one of them gains strength everything starts to colapse. Our homes were destroyed, yes, and there's probably nothing we can do about it. But we can stop the Heartless from destroying more of those worlds, fighting together. Side by side."
A soft sigh escaped his lips as he looked back into the cafe for a second. He needed to speed up this process a bit.
Sir Lucas silently followed the conversation. He was surprised to learn that he had walked in the middle of an recruitment of sort. As Arthas was landing a barrage of questions on Mikeal. A recruitment against the common foe that he battles aswel, the Heartless.
"So... Disney Castle was reborn from its ashes? I'm glad, and I hope that place doesn't bring any other bad memories in the future."
Sir Lucas turned his gaze back to Mikeal and gave a short and subtle nod before answering: "You know of her royal Highness as wel? And yes, it is true. The castle is being rebuild as we speak. Still dangerous forces gloom over it, seeking it's destruction. For that very reason I am here. To prevent that dark history from occuring again."
The Wolf Knight was then startled by the impatience and rudeness of Arthas. But decided to speak none of it. Not every man handles an intense situation like the one they were in well. Still he would best learn his place soon, for his youth could not excuse him any further. Observing Arthas distance himself from the table and turning his attention to the other occupants of the café did not strike well with Sir Lucas As his eyes narrowed with a slightly rejecting face.
Mikeal continued with his explanation and drew his attention again. Sir Lucas listened intensly and hung on every word that came out of his mouth. All other thoughts and distractions were discarded. For the first time since he commenced his yourney, he heard someone speak his own language. Reasons he could identify himself with, and a selfless motive much like his own. Mikeal's word captivated him, and sparked a fire deep in his soul. An enthousiastic calling erupted from deep within himself. His path was made clear. Alone he was drifting, wandering without having any grasp or sense of the scope of things. Trying his best but his actions would not matter in the greater scheme of things. If the Wolf Knight would carry on alone, his deeds would not make any difference. What Mikeal was proposing, would make that difference.
Sir Lucas righted himself from his chair and stood up from the table. The tall ironclad knight moved till in front of Mikeal and gave him a serious staring with his woodbrown eyes. Calmly and clearly the Wolf Knight spoke: "Sir Mikeal, we have already stood side by side in battle. And I would do so again in a heartbeat. Your goal is a noble ideal that serves as an example and inspiration for others. You and I seek the same future, so it would be folly to not join thee. "
Sir Lucas then kneeled down in front of Mikeal and spoke with a righteous tone: "You have my sword."
The second the stranger (Mikael) said "As you know, the Heartless have started to take over the worlds looking for more hearts. I believe most of your worlds suffered the same fate as mine: their heart was swallowed whole by those creatures. And they are becoming stronger, following a small group of Heartless with something similar to human intelligence. If they were to take over more worlds... the results would be... catastrophic."
Rokaku felt a single tear run down his cheek as memories of his home world Olfgon being destroyed flooded into his head. Then he heard him say "Our homes were destroyed, yes, and there's probably nothing we can do about it. But we can stop the Heartless from destroying more of those worlds, fighting together. Side by side. I need you... to fight beside me." A few more tears dripped of Rokakus face and onto the cold ground.
and Rokaku noticed the man sigh, and could tell he was in a bit of a hurry. Rokakus eyes were watery, but his voice was strong as he said "If it's heartless your fighting, then you can know that I'll always be there to fight with you. You see when my home world was destroyed, I did everything I could but it wasn't enough. I had to watch my family, my loved ones, and everything else that I held dear to me get devoured by the heartless, and when I woke up in Traverse Town I made a personel vow to never let anything like that happen ever again. Thats why you can count on me to stand by you or anyone else and fight until I die." Then Rokaku kneeled down on the ground with Aramus sitting right next to him with his head pointed down. Aramus barked seeming to agree with what Rokaku said.
