In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

He turned his attention to Mikhail as he spoke. As the piece of knowledge traveled into his brain, he simply said, “Interesting…” One thing that he was still confused about was the darkness branch. So gravity was a dark element? Huh. He never would have known. Returning his attention to the girl, he nodded his head as she asked for forgiveness. He wasn’t one to hold a grudge against another, but he was slightly annoyed by the girl’s actions. Even though it was a “test”, it was probably best for her to wait until she they gave them a chance to leave.
He had to admit that he wasn’t leaning towards the “not join” option anymore. It didn’t mean he was going to join, but he wasn’t going to reject Mikhail’s offer soon. It would be something to think about. His goal ever since his memory was wiped was to help the universe. Perhaps it would be best if he joined. Though, what would be the consequences? Would he have to leave his love? He hoped not. Otherwise he would be leaning towards the “not join” option once again. Dismissing the thought, he returned his attention to the current situation.
He couldn’t really say anything else, since the girl wouldn’t be accompanying him, since he hadn’t made up his mind. Though, if he was in Mikhail’s position, he would think about it. The girl didn’t seem… What was the word…? Ready. Surely, she would have to learn to become more patient. He would’ve chuckled at the thought if he wasn’t serious. Though, this wasn’t up to him, since he wasn’t Mikhail and even part of his “group”.
“What would I be giving up if I said “yes” to your offer?” Shiro asked in his ordinary calm tone. That was the first question that came to him, and for some reason, he just had to say it. Anyways, he would’ve asked the question later if he didn’t now. He would need to know the answer to this question before making a decision.

His eyes couldn't help themselves from narrowing as the female spoke, offering her quite a blunt and fierce look. For some reason he couldn't find himself believing her story, much less trusting her. After all, he had practically tried to crush them to their death without any real reason. Even though Mikhail wasn't one to hold grudges against others that was clearly not the way to climb up into his books.
But maybe... just maybe...
Hmm, perhaps he should give her the benefit of doubt. After all, this girl didn't look like a villian and her aura didn't give him any negative readings. She was leaning more on a confused side, neutral, not knowing who or what to aid. Such people could be easily claimed by the light and by the dark as well and one had to be quick to find and recruit them. But the Guardians didn't represent the light; they stood up for balance and peace, facing all that stood between them and the universe.
"You may speak the truth, but why should we trust you? You did present yourself as a hostile to us and you haven't even offered your name." The male stated, offering her a much friendlier look though it still carried a certain air of seriousness around. Now it was his turn to test her and for her own good she ought to pass successfully.
Mikhail, of course, hadn't expected Shiro to address him now. However, he did not protest as it seemed like he was considering the pyromancer's offer. Rutherford turned his head to look at him, his eyebrows knitted as he listened to what Shiro had to say. Many had asked themselves that same question though none had expressed it out loud; the raven headed male couldn't answer it for them.
Every single one of them knew the answer.
"Comfort and peace, to a certain degree. It's practically an expectation to get restless when one is bouncing up and down around the worlds. But it all depends on what you are really willing to give up. You may take along whatever you wish but they could also create weaknesses around you... gaps for the enemy to exploit."
"But again, the choice is yours."

Stood paralyzed in front of Mikhail's Glare, heels glued to the floor and hands stiffened up like sticks. Fearful of the Super-Human strength Mikhail probably had, she just couldn't convince her muscles to move. It was safer to follow instinct, or so she thought. Thankfully, her muscles knew better than to loosen up when she was given the chance to explain herself.
"Not like we need to explain a thing." The Crystal murmured.
"I'm sorry for not introducing myself. It's a bad habit of mine. But, Hmph, I'm Makoto Luwein from The Crystal Kingdom and you can trust me cause my world was swallowed by the Darkness and I'm the only survivor. But that was three years ago, and yet I'm still living here working at this Job."
"If I really was a hostile, why haven't I been fired from this Café? I've lived peacefully here for three years and I've worked at this Café from the day the Heartless attacked. To this very day. If you don't believe me, you can ask my Boss, he was the one that took me in and helped me get on my feet. You can also ask Merlin, since well... I go to him for advice from time to time."
"But, I'm sticking to what I said. I only want to restore my World and bring back my Foster Parents from the dead. But I know I can't do that alone. And, ehm... the spell I used on you? Ehm... It's not strong enough to destroy a Big Body. If it could, I would be on my knees." Makoto stated sincerely, though by habit, she came out a bit cock. But, she gave it her shot. Either she "Passed" or if she "Failed" Mikhail's test was something beyond her control. It was something she wasn't about to complain or regret.
Yet for a moment, after he speech was done, something happened. Her eyes lost her normal hue, and Onyx Irises replaced the usual. Her aura changed ever so notably and her Crystal Shard began to shine. Her voice also seemed... deeper.
"Bare your judgement on her as you whim. I don't care. I only want to clarify by prompting a question. If Gravity truly is a Branch of Darkness. Why are we Incapable of using the Line of Dark Elemental Spells and Magicks? Why can't we use Darkness as easily as we can Mend Gravity? My answer, might not apply to you. But you might seek to bare in mind. Light and Dark are only Elements. Elements that have been allowed to grow and expand, to the point where the Worlds rely on their balance. But no single element relies on Darkness to Exist. If in the future, Darkness truly becomes one of my domains, and you are right. I'll humbly apologize for my cockyness."
Clearing up, her voice seemed to return to normal as everything did shortly afterwards. Though Makoto herself seemed... a bit annoyed. Once more though, she bowed. "Please forgive Him. He's a bit sensitive when it comes to talking about Magic and Gravity."

Glad that the tension decided to float away from the group, Mikhail relaxed. Though they had finally stopped being the customers' top topic for gossip, that didn't save the trio from the occassional glance. He sighed, turning his head to look at Makoto once more. As he continued to listen to her, the pyromancer was convinced that her first impression hadn't been right at all. Luwein didn't look like true villian material; she was ambitious, yes, but her heart seemed... clean enough to avoid such tendencies.
"Alright, I'll believe you Makoto; you do speak the truth. I'm Mikhail, Mikhail Rutherford, leader of the organization known as The Guardians of the Worlds. Our goal is, as you probably guessed already, to protect as many worlds as possible from any emerging threats." He smiled, extending a hand for her to shake. Unfortunately he would have to make his leave quite soon; that recruiting meeting had received quite the time extension, and Mikhail had to find and "interview" other people as well.
Traverse Town needed him... or at least, he needed Traverse Town. There were so many things he wanted to do, but there wasn't much time left for him. Rutherford had to admit, however, that he was certainly delighted by the progress he had made in Radiant Garden so far. First, he had successfully forged an alliance with Merlin and found his believed-to-be-deceased friend, Max. Second, he had found himself two promising recruits; Makoto seemed quite eager to jump into the Guardian bandwagon as soon as possible and Shiro was about to share that same mentality.
Suddenly, the pyromancer noticed the drastic change in the girl's aura. He narrowed his eyes, staring at that crystal of hers that now shone as bright as the moon. And she spoke... or at least her body did. The words that escaped Makoto were in a much deeper voice... as if another entity was trying to communicate with them. But alas, the spirit of the crystal addressed no one but Mikhail. It sounded quite irked at him, mainly because he had compared darkness and gravity.
Before he could say anything, however, Luwein regained control of her body and started to apologize for "him".
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I'm afraid your friend is mistaken. Like I said before, gravity itself isn't an element but a branch of one of the universe's main elements: light and darkness. Much like ice is to water and lightning is to wind. As for your inability to use pure darkness, I assume that you didn't bond with the element correctly. Or perhaps you are only linked with the gravity side of it."
