In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Deathblade was starting to lose patience with these people's lack of understanding. "Greetings Syn," he began, his impatience evident, "this process will not affect you whatsoever." He then turned to Mikhail, who had just asked what he had to do. "All you need to do is tell me everything you know about the Dark XII. Although I could just read it myself," he turned back to Syn. "if you have any information he doesn't, I need that too." Then, the helmet melted back, he stood up, and he pulled over another chair. In a much more pleasant, and human, voice, Saxen said with a smile, "Have a seat, Syn. I'm Deathblade." He decided to introduce himself as Deathblade after thinking for a moment about how it would sound trying to explain his situation quickly. He then sat back down and let the helmet reform.
Syn just stared at the man known as Deathblade. First of all... Deathblade sounded far worse than "sin", which was often a misinterpretation of his own name. He'd never heard of any name that ominous.
"It's nice to meet you, Deathblade. About that data... I am not sure. It seems kind of risky." He thought it over. "In the past, data has been misused by both factions: the nothing and the darkness. I'd rather not have anything recorded. Our memory is our best friend in a world when data is hacked with ease."
Data would not be smart. The Organization had plenty of people who could manipulate it, he was sure, and the Dark XII? He didn't underestimate a few of their members as well.

Rutherford blinked, eyelashes batting as he continued to look at Deathblade. Another wave of deep doubt hit him as he listened to the man explain this strange process of his once more. Could he really trust Deathblade with all the information he had gathered about the Dark XII and the Organization XIII as well? He knew that partnerships and alliances were built upon a solid base of trust but the pyromancer couldn't help but to be slightly suspicious.
Maybe... maybe Deathblade was one of the Dark XII's subbordinates?
Mikhail quickly dismissed the thought. Though he could have looked a bit intimidating with a first glance, the hume was quite certain that he wouldn't be involved with such people. After all, Deathblade didn't seem like the type of guy that would help them in their quest for universal destruction. Or at least, Mikhail was sure that Saxen wouldn't let him do that.
But then Syn spoke once more, speaking out his concerns regarding the symbiote's plan. Rutherford could see where he was coming from, or at least assumed he did, and couldn't help but to agree with him. The Dark XII and the Organization would be quite foolish to lack people skilled in such technologies and if the file ended up in their hands... well, it would be the end of the Guardians and all of those involved with them.
"I have to agree with Syn here." he began, taking another sip from his frappuccino beofre continuing. "If the enemy is able to access this information it might prove to be counterproductive for us. Besides, I doubt they are able to manipulated our memories and get the information out of our minds."
The pyromancer could feel that this meeting was coming to an end.

Deathblade heard the concerns and, though they meant nothing to him, Saxen agreed, and that was enough for him. The helmet peeled back and Saxen shook his hair down. The bodysuit also shifted into his usual clothes. He opened his eyes and looked once again at the two people in his company. "Mikhail, do you have anyone with sufficient skill with computers that he could work with me to encrypt the data with an 'unbreakable' code? We could work on that and, when that's good, we could put the data on disk. For now, though, could I look at that file? I'd like to know as much as I can."
He ran his hand through his hair and put his arm over the back of his chair. "How are we going to stay in contact? How am I going to know what you need from me? I haven't figured out how to get anything other than Gummi Blocks to penetrate the world barriers. Deathblade can't even figure out the material." Saxen simply waited for a response and had totally forgotten about Syn.
Syn shook his head. "No code is unbreakable," he responded curtly. The man with the silver eyes... "In the Dark XII there is a man named 'Ienzo'. He has gray eyes. He also has gathered data over most things you'll find in this universe. I have no doubts that creatures like him could eventually break it."
"It's a misconception. By creating something, you give it the potential to be destroyed. This code, since it is just that, will automatically have a decoder."
He couldn't really think of anything else to say. In order to beat them, they had to be... nonexistent in a way. Synthest put a hand to his forehead. Data was acceptable in theory but dangerous in practice. He'd heard from the Dark XII that Ansem the Wise's end was due to this very mistake.
"The thing is... What do you plan to do, Deathblade? How could you possibly stand up to the darkness? It's an entity that has been around since light came to being, right?" A lot of questions. Unfortunately, there were many answers that they didn't have.
M I K H A I L R U T H E R F O R D "I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU ENDED UP SLAIN BY ONE OF THEM."
"Ienzo..." Mikhail repeated the name to himself, knowing he had heard it somewhere else. Memories of a male's face flashed before his eyes, as if they were triggered upon mentioning a pair of grey eyes. He had met the Heartless a couple of months ago in the world of eternal night, Traverse Town. Antique had been there as well and the pyromancer remembered how he had tried to "push" her away from that Heartless.
And this just proved his point further.
The man nodded, handing Saxen this "sacred file" of his. Indeed, he should read it while he could; fortunately the file had no information regarding the Guardians and their members so nothing serious would happen if it eventually fell into wrong hands. "Do not worry. When the time comes, I shall return to this world once again and we'll meet again. You're not the only one of my Guardians that resides here."
"To answer your question, Syn," Rutherford began, turning to look at the other boy once more. Indeed, one wouldn't be able to destroy the darkness completely; it was part of nature. However, other things could be done to stop the tragedies brought by its users. "Though wiping darkness out of existence is not an option, controlling it is quite possible."
"There must be a balance in the universe and we must help the light gain enough strength to push the dark back. If the light becomes stronger than it should, we would have to aid the darkness instead."
M I K H A I L R U T H E R F O R D "MAYBE I'LL TAKE YOU THERE... SOMEDAY..."
Saxen was starting to get rather...anxious. He needed to move. Once he memorized the file as well as he could, he stood up and said "Well, if that's all you need, Mikhail, I may take my leave." He put the file back on the table and waited a moment just in case one of them asked him to stay. "Well, it was good to meet you both." With that and a nod to both of them, he turned and began to walk out of the city.

Syn looked between the two and shrugged. "I don't know if there's anything else I can do at the moment. I suppose that we should meet at another time." He smiled mischievously. "When we have a bit more power and leverage." The Organization and the Dark... How much power did they have? There were rumors of members in black cloaks returning once more, and Syn didn't want to be caught again in case they were the Dark XII.
The boy just leaned back and nodded as Saxen took his leave. "Keep in contact," he replied. "You never know when a war will start."
With that, he turned away himself. With his hands in his coat pockets, he stepped away from the only member remaining. He stopped only to smile and say, "Hey. Call me up if you've got anything that needs killing." Only a few seconds later, he had disappeared in the shadows, leaving behind a shining scarlet gemstone, glowing with internal heat.
The mark of the Synthesizer. Sin or Synthest... Either way, neither label was his true name. An enigma of Darkness and Light, the Heart of fire was back.
