In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

I recently signed up for a position in the Dark XII as Arumial, the heartless of Marluxia. I did some investigation to help me out with the history for my character, and realised that while the Organization's been up and kicking with about a gazillion running threads, the Dark XII is barely active, and has about three active characters- they being Sai, Braig and Luord.
The registration list for the Dark XII states that there are only four spots left, with all the other being taken. But so far, I haven't seen much action from the Dark XII compared to the activity going on in the Organization side. So I was just wondering... where's everybody gone?
I am here. I have just been busy of late. I have realized the significantly smaller number of active Dark XII members currently. I have started putting out missions for the Dark XII members, despite the tiny number. I have only put out one (and a half) for now. Although I do have one question for you: "Have you had your character accepted as of yet?" - And if you have, "When can you start?" Seeing as we know there is a lack of members, any and all new members would be considered a blessing to me.
It's a site-wide problem, not exclusive to the Dark XII group. There are so many roles designated to have power and be organized that we are continually at loss for people to fill those roles.
We have over 400 members, 20 shy of 500, and we gain about two more new ones every week. Each one likes to submit about two new profiles. I would not consider this a lack of members.
Yes, I do realize your point Aryn. I was just focusing in on the group I am supposed to be in charge of (though I have been MIA quite a bit of late...). Oh well, not an uncommon problem. So there isn't much to be done until people decide they want those roles. *shrugs*
Oye, that is the only worry I truly have on this issue. No one really wants to take on a role that is constricted by them being an existent character. They prefer the full creative license they can get for a created character.

I, for one, love to take on existing roles and bring them to life, but I would agree that the majority of people on this site would prefer to make their own characters. The people who wish for World or canon are restricted to the existing Worlds we have on this site.
It would be nice to give the power back to the rper, however, I'm afraid with the plot set-up we have right now, it is a very difficult venture.
I've posted the profile for Arumial, and I'm currently waiting for approval.
Thanks, I understand the problem. It might also be the fact that some people find it uncomfortable playing 'bad guys', and prefer to make an avatar of themselves to exist in the KH world. And I know from personal experience that canons are in some cases difficult to play, due to the constraints on history and personality etc. But I find it unusual that nobody's gone for the Dark XII- especially since they are a lot more flexible than the Organization. Maybe it's because they don't know a lot about intelligent Heartless and how they should work? Sometimes having to be creative can be difficult as well.
Personally, I find it difficult to conceive every single Nobody in Org XIII having at one time had so much Darkness in their Hearts that they produced intelligent Heartless.
Larxene, sure. I'm sure she had a pretty evil Somebody with enough Darkness to make a freaky Heartless. But let's face it, Axel probably wasn't all that terrible of a person and we know Roxas's Heartless was a tiny little bugger.
I was under the impression intelligent heartless were made regardless of the strength or level or darkness in the heart but rather by the process used to make them or by their own work (e.g: Absorbing other heartless) o.o Oh well, enough about that.
As you say, the Dark XII are a little bit dead right now. Later today I'm going to be going on a mission with Myde (if he shows up). Join us, Ludor generally sucks at fighting :X
True. Maybe we forgot that while Nobodies' power are decided by the strength of their heart, Heartless' power depends on the amount of darkness in the person's heart?

The Heartless do not absorb other Heartless. If you can name a specific scene or report within Kingdom Hearts in which this is demonstrated, then I would be convinced.
If the strength of a Heartless was based on the process, then every "natural" Heartless would have the same strength level.
Well, if my profile makes it past the approval, then I'll try my best to increase activity for the Dark XII again. Is there an update for the current plot of the Dark XII? Like the Organization's extracted Namine out of Kairi recently. Anything like that?
