Picture(optional): Appearance: Jìzhu looks like a Chinese Geisha. She's 5'6", beautiful, and elegant. She wears pale white make-up with lightly accentuating blush and cherry red lipstick and a small red dot on her forehead. She has long, luxurious black hair held back by a butterfly clip. She wears two gray metal rings around her neck. She wears a red Chinese silk kimono complete with with a red Chinese Mao hat. However the kimono isn't very good for fighting so underneath her kimono she wears a skin-tight dark green body suit that gives her a full range of motion when fighting.
Personality: Because of her amnesia, Jìzhu is a very uncertain girl. She doesn't know who she is beyond her name and her abilities. She is hesitant when she meets new people because she doesn't know if she's met them or not and how she should react to them, since she's lost all her experiences with people. She wants to find out who she is. Her old personality was happy-go-lucky, sweet, and honest. Post-amnesia she is, hesitant, melancholy, and shy. She often comes off as cold and mean, though she cries a lot because of her situation. She clings desperately to her cloths, make-up, and glider, because it's all she had when she ended up in Traverse Town without any idea who she used to be. As she goes along and her memories start to come back she'll become more confused as her old personality tries to come back.
Original World: Wǔhàn, China, within Mulan's Land of Dragons, but secluded from the rest of China (She doesn't remember though)
Current Residing World: Traverse Town
History/Background: Jìzhu Yīnyuè was born in the village of Wǔhàn, China. This village sat on top of a small mountain and had about 200 people. The village had a heavy spirituality based around the elements. There was a small temple where people with the potential unlocked the secrets of controlling the elements. To the people of the village, the source of elemental control was believed to be caused by a person having an elemental spirit guarding that person. To help better control their powers they learned martial arts for discipline and focus. For those who showed talent for controlling air, like Jìzhu, Bāguàzhǎng was the style learned.
Jìzhu was the most promising Wind Elemental the temple had seen is a long time. She grew up a happy, cheerful child, a natural at Wind manipulation. She had many friends and always participated in the festivals. At 14 she was almost ready to become a Master at the temple because of her skill. She was probably only a year away from perfecting a completely new technique with which to earn her title.
It was the Festival of the Dragon and Jìzhu was dressed up in her favorite kimono. She even did her make-up making herself look beautiful. She was enjoying herself, playing the little games and saying hi to her friends when she saw the boy she had a crush on. Li was a Fire Elemental who had the attention of all the village's teenage girls, especially Jìzhu. Trying her best to remain calm she walked up and started to talk to him. He seemed quite interested in Jìzhu, much to her delight. However, just as they started to hit it off, Heartless attacked the village. It was chaos as everyone tried to get away. All of the elementalists were quick to defend the village from the monsters. Because of the non-lethality of Air and her restrictive kimono, Jìzhu was relatively helpless. Li valiantly protected her as best he could. She would have been able to protect herself well enough but she didn't yet wear battle suits underneath as she had never expected to actually need to fight. Because of her disadvantage, a Heartless managed to attack her from behind, tackling her and dragging her down into the Realm of Darkness as she screamed helplessly. By the time Li had turned around and noticed, the hem of her kimono disappeared into the Dark.
In the Darkness Jìzhu helplessly struggled against the Darkness as it pressed in on her, threatening to consume her Heart. She desperately called out, begging for Li, for anyone to save her. Just as she was about to give up hope, there was a flash of light and suddenly she was falling. She hit the ground hard, hitting the back of her head against the ground. Just before she passed out, someone ran up to her, asking who she was and if she was okay. She groggily managed to say "Jìzhu Yīnyuè" before she slipped into a deep sleep filled with nightmares.
She sat up suddenly. She was in a weird bed in a weird room. Scared, she looked around, her eyes darting to every dark corner. She couldn't remember how she got there, or where she was. She couldn't remember anything in fact. All she could remember was a sense of pure fear. She was shaking with fear when someone entered the room. The man was the one who saw her fall out of the sky and took her to the hotel. They were apparently in a place called Traverse Town, where lost people often find themselves. When she said she didn't remember who she was, the man, Erik, told her that before she passed out she had said Jìzhu Yīnyuè when he asked her name. While they weren't sure that it really was her name, it was something.
When Erik brought her to the hotel, his girlfriend, Monica had taken care of her, since Jìzhu was a girl. After she felt better, they gave her the stuff they had found with her, her kimono, with a make-up case in a hidden pocket, her hat, and butterfly hair-clip. In the make-up case was instructions in Chinese to do her favorite look. Erik and Monica couldn't read it but Jìzhu could, confirming her name to be Jìzhu Yīnyuè because of the name on the inside of the Kimono's collar. She still couldn't remember anything about her life though.
After resting for a month, Jìzhu was walking through town with Erik and Monica hoping someone would recognize her. No one did. Unless you count the Heartless which suddenly attacked them, though they attacked everyone. Just as they were about to run away, instinct took over and she blasted the Heartless away with a gust of wind. Surprised at herself, she soon found she was a skilled fighter, though she couldn't directly remember anything. She essentially relearned her combat abilities over time by thinking up a move and seeing if her body remembered it, essentially making her a novice in a Master's well-trained body.
By the time a year had passed, only a couple things had come back to her. She remembered that her birthday was on April 7th, making her 15, and a face. The face was that of a boy, and whenever she recalled that face it made her heart flutter, so she thought the boy must have meant something to her, though she couldn't remember whether he was her brother, friend, or boyfriend.
Feeling she had been using her friend's hospitality for too long, she decided to set out to find this boy she couldn't remember, and more importantly, herself. Thanking her friends, who said she could come back anytime, she's started her Journey. First things first, she needs to find a way off of Traverse Town, meaning she needed to get herself a Gummi Ship.
