In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Jìzhu sat in the cafe alone. She had left her friends, Erik and Monica, stating that she needed to find her memories, but frankly, she didn't know where to start. She knew that there were other "Worlds" out there, but she didn't understand exactly what that meant. She figured she needed one of these "Gummi ships" she keeps hearing about, but she couldn't afford one, even if she knew where to get one. "Oh God." Here it comes again, the tears. She couldn't help it. She felt so desperately lost and confused. She cried all the time. She just wanted someone to help her. She leaned over in her seat as she felt the tears well up in her eyes. She hated when she cried in public, hopefully no one would notice.
((Anyone feel free to jump in. I'd like about two people to join in, maybe make a group that will stick together and help each other on their journeys))

(Oh god, thank you for this. You have no idea how much Chinzo needs a partner x.x)
Munch munch, slurp. Pumpkin bread and pumpkin coffee. Oh yes, autumn was rolling around, or at least it would be in Blacchia, and Chinzo was excited. Halloween was coming up, the leaves were turning pretty colors, and it was about time for his seasonal vacation to another World. This year, the autumn trip was to Wonderland, to see if the colors would change there, and then, of course, the trip to Halloween Town directly after for the big celebration. There was nothing like seeing the citizens of that place engage in frightfully fun festivities for Halloween.
Autumn was Chinzo's very favorite season, and he was unconciously setting off a magical aura of happiness and content all around the coffee shop. He'd just performed, you see, and after getting some spare munny and free food from the owners of the shop, he was practically overflowing with zest for life, and was pushing it onto other people without even knowing it!
But there was one person in the cafe who wasn't affected by it. A young girl, it seemed, with a beautiful oriental kimono and what seemed to be a lot of makeup. But it did not matter to Chinzo how shallow someone was, happiness ran deep, and sadness would not stand in his presence, no-sirree-bob!
The elder man got up, scooted in his chair, sipped his coffee once more and finished off his bread, and walked over to the crying young girl.
"What ails you, my dear?" he asked politely. "It was those Heartless again, I know it, they always ruin everybody's good time...!" Chinzo muttered under his breath.
((Offer her a trip to other worlds and she'll join you in an instant since she needs to find out who she is))
She was trying so hard to keep the tears at bay when a short, overweight old man walked up to her.
"What ails you, my dear?" he had asked politely. "It was those Heartless again, I know it, they always ruin everybody's good time...!"
Surprisingly, the man's odd appearance caused Jìzhu's building tears to stop, preventing her from ruining her make-up just in time. She quickly and carefully wiped the moisture from her eyes as she responded to the man.
"N-no, as annoying as they are, it's not the Heartless that's bothering me, I-"
She stopped herself from continuing for a moment. She hesitated as she looked at the man. He looked like a nice man, but she wasn't sure. She had lost all her experience with dealing with other people and didn't know whether or not to trust any strangers she met.
"I'm sorry if I'm bothering you. I just have a personal problem to deal with."
She was trying to decide whether or not to tell this man about her amnesia. Erik said that people might try to take advantage of her, say they knew her or something to manipulate her. The sadness was coming back. It happened whenever she felt uncertain, which was always. Damn her amnesia! The spot on the back of her head started to feel sore again and the headache started to come back. She closed her eyes and lowered her head trying to keep her painful emotions at bay.
((God, I planned on her story being a little bit sad but now tears are welling up in my eyes over this. By the way, to stay in character I'm going to have to make it hard for you to get her trust(or make her even remotely happy for that matter), hope you don't mind))

(OMFG I TTLY MIND I MEAN HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO- *shot from afar by a never-ending stream of pumpkin-coffee*)
(Whew, that was annoying. Those crazy clones... *shakes fist at Vexen* But seriously, yeah, I don't mind ^.^)
BiC - Chinzo shook his head. "No, no, you're not bothering me... actually, I'd be quite surprised if I weren't bothering you. Chinzo smiled warmly and teleported his coffee into his hand, taking a sip. "But if it's a personal problem... Oh, I have just the thing to cheer you up!" He conjured a bouquet of roses into his hand in a swirl of rainbow sparks, and handed them to her. With a wink, a 'buh-dum, shh!' sounded in the background, coming from seemingly nowhere.(you know, the drum thing that sounds when someone makes a joke? That.)
"But in all seriousness..." Chinzo smiled again. "I am taking a vacation to another World, a place called Wonderland, to see the autumn's effects on that crazy place. Then, from there, I'll be going straight to a place called Halloween Town to see their Halloween celebration. What I'm trying to get at is..." Chinzo winked, "Would you like to come with me, Chinzo Verzmarth, The Musician of Magic, on a cruise across the stars?"
((I know what that rhythm is, I love that, but sadly, Jìzhu isn't going to understand it. I just realized though, since your guy a musician he fits perfectly with Jìzhu since she's a beautiful singer))
Jìzhu looked up as the man continued, saying that he thought he might have bothered her. To the contrary, his funny appearance was somehow pushing her tears away. When he teleported his coffee into his hand her eyes widened. She thought her abilities were unique but that was amazing. The he conjured up a bouquet of roses further surprising her. She took them and looked at the flowers. She didn't know what they were, for even before she lost her memories she had never seen roses before. But they smelled nice. Then the man winked and a weird sound came from seemingly nowhere. She looked around confused because she didn't even understand what that particular rhythm was supposed to mean.
Then the man made an offer that made her eyes as wide as saucers. He offered to take her to other worlds. As much as it seemed like a dream come true, Erik's warnings came to her mind. Be careful Jìzhu, some people might try to take advantage of you. If someone seemingly offers you the world, at least be somewhat skeptical as to his motives. Erik's advice fit this situation perfectly, as this man seemed to be offering several world.
"I-I'm sorry Mr. Verzmarth, I don't mean to be rude but, that offers seems very generous. I have no way to repay you for your kindness." She fidgeted uncomfortably. She didn't want to be rude, and she desperately needed to travel to other Worlds, but she didn't know anything about the worlds he mentioned or what Halloween was. She felt like she could trust this man, but she didn't know if she could.

(never thought of that =o)
Chinzo smiled as he spoke, watching those pretty eyes get bigger and bigger at the moment. He could sense her skepticism, and when replaying his voice back in his head, he noticed that he had sounded very odd. He winced inwardly.
Then she said that she had to know way to repay him... true, but she didn't need to know that. "Oh, my dear," he began. "You don't need to repay me... In fact, I'm already very far in debt to you. Each bat of those pretty eyelashes, and each syllable of that pretty voice, is worth everything in the Worlds." He gave a warm smile again, and aura of happiness and contendedness floated out even more.
Jìzhu continued to hesitate, despite the man's kind words, though now for a slightly different reason. While she believed his compliments on her appearance were honest, Erik's warnings about old lechers came to mind. She was debating in her mind about what to do. She was so scared to trust anyone, but she knew that if she was to make any progress towards finding out who she was, or in fact was to trust anyone who said they knew her, she needed to take that first step towards trusting a stranger. This was the first opportunity she'd ever had to find out who she was. Besides, she could take care of herself. On an instinctual level she was a skilled fighter though consciously she was a novice. She finally decided though, to trust him and accept his offer. But it wasn't because of the man's words or actions that made her decide to trust him. It was his aura. He simply felt...nice, and warm. In his presence she started to feel as if she might actually find out what she needed to know.
She stood up and bowed slightly to the man, a habit she figured was instinctual for her as she always seemed to do it when thanking someone. "Thank you, Mr. Verzmarth, for your kindness. I accept your offer." She straightened back up and looked at him with a small smile. "Please allow me to repay you somehow for you kindness." A small hint of her sadness returned to her face as she began to explain. "I...have no memories from before a year ago, when I arrived here. I was told that people who are lost or," Jìzhu stopped for a moment before continuing, this part always scared her to think about, because it would make her journey pointless. "Or people whose worlds are lost, often end up here. I'm trying to find out who I am, and I believe I need to travel to other worlds to find that out. All I have is my clothes and make-up to identify myself with. I'm sorry for hesitating, but your offer seemed too perfect. Erik warned me that I need to be careful, and not let people take advantage of me."

The aura of happiness exploded into an aura of excitement, ecstaticity, and just a small twinge of anxiety, for really wanting to go soon with this new companion.
"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I really can't tell you how happy you've made me right now." Chinzo took another sip of his coffee, and rainbow sparkles poofed out from his shape. "Now, then. I shall pay the bill, tell my employer I'll be off for a few weeks - or hopefully more - and I'll be with the most beautiful lady in the Worlds."
He did as he promised, placing some munny(and a very nice tip) on his table, and conjured a note inside of his boss's mailbox. He then took the lady by her dainty hand, gave it a light peck, and led her to his sleek, black Gummi Ship, the Blacchians' Pride. It had the shape of a long cello, and on the back was a powerful engine, and there were several smaller ones dotting the bottom. A few small guns were located at the front.
Chinzo waved his hand, and a door on the side, in the groove between the wide bottom and the slightly thinner top circles, opened up, and a small bridge slid out. He walked up to it, and neckoned her to come inside, smiling.

Jìzhu smiled at Chinzo's happiness. He was odd but pleasant. She didn't like the comment about being the most beautiful lady in the Worlds though, she wasn't a "lady" yet, she was only 15, and she certainly didn't think she was the most beautiful girl, though his words brought that image to her mind again. That handsome boy with that fiery look. Her heart fluttered thinking about him, making her worried again about this jovial man. She hoped he simply liked to praise people and wasn't serious.
She followed Chinzo to his ship, which she stared at with wonder. She had never seen a Gummi Ship before, and the descriptions she had heard didn't do this ship justice. It looked like a musical instrument. "Is this your Gummi ship, Mr. Verzmarth?" She asked as she followed him onto the ship.
((when we take off into space we should technically start a new thread in the space section, shouldn't we?))

Chinzo nodded, looking around his well-furnished Gummi Ship. "Yes, this is my Gummi Ship. It's my pride and joy... and the only thing I have left from my homeworld, before it was consumed by Darkness..." A surge of sadness pulsed through his aura, but it was soon smothered in his youthful happiness again.
The area they were in right now was what Chinzo called the 'Hallway'. It had a beautiful crystal chandelier on the ceiling, with black and white furniture. There were cabinets lining all of the walls, full of odd stuff, like musical instruments, glass, twisted vases full of water and roses, and porcelain bowls of black and white beads. There were beautiful, soft chairs scattered across the black and white tiled floor.
At the back of the Gummi Ship were two doors. One led to Chinzo's ship-bedroom, and the other led to a guest room. And in the very back of the ship, behind the rooms, was the engine room. And at the very front circle-area was the control room, which was much like the 'Hallway', but full of glowing buttons and switches and levers. Chinzo explained all of this to Jizhu as he took her around on a tour about his ship.
When he was done, he strapped her and himself down in their chairs, flicked a switch, pressed a button, turned a knob, and spoke a magic password, and the ship took off, high into the heavens, and soon, it was hovering right above Traverse Town, suspended by powerful gravity magic...
((Actually, I think we should continue this in Wonderland(or whatever World that you want to go to... maybe they hit a detour?) and for the first bit of the RP there, we can do some ship stuff, like Jizhu choosing how to furnish her room, and such.))
Jìzhu stiffened up when Chinzo mentioned how his world had fallen into Darkness. She had heard that it happens to worlds and was afraid it had happened to whatever world she had come from. As Chinzo explained the hallway, bedrooms, and control room, Jìzhu kept looking at the style of everything. None of it felt familiar to Jìzhu or seemed to match her dress. At the very least, she felt that she could be sure she didn't come from Chinzo's world.
After the tour and she was strapped down she watched as Chinzo took the ship up and had it hover over Traverse Town for a moment. Jìzhu looked out the window, down at the world that had been her home for over a year. She could see the house of her friends, Erik and Monica, and the two of them as well in a window. "Goodbye, my friends, I hope I'll see you again one day." She whispered as the ship flew into the sky towards this mysterious Wonderland.
