In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

It really depeds on the spell they use. Firaga beats blizzard, Fira and Blizzara cancel each other, as does Fire and Blizzard, Firaga and Blizzaga cancel each other. Think of it like levels, two of the same level, cancel each other out, and the one with the higher level wins obviously.

Well, the most obvious thing is "separation of matter and magic". That is to say, that the spells themselves don't have temperatures at all. Rather, they DO affect the temperature of the matter around it. As such, we could say that as such, spells do not have temperatures at all. However, they could affect the relative temperature of the things it hits. To make it simple, let's use the Kelvin scale, with 0 being absolute zero, and extending out into infinity. Spells don't lower or raise by a specific value, but rather by a percentage of the object's temperature in degrees Kelvin.
Here's one way to do it:
Blizzard would lower the temperature 10% Blizzara would lower the temperature 20% Blizzaga would lower the temperature 40% Blizzaja would lower the temperature 80% Fire would raise the temperature 10% Fira would raise the temperature 20% Firaga would raise the temperature 40% Firaja would raise the temperature 80%
Thunder, Thundara, Thundaga, Thundaja, Water, Watera, Waterga, Waterja, Aero, Aerora, Aeroga, Aeroja, Quake, Quakera, Quakega, Quakeja, Dark, Darkra, Darkga, Darkja, Light, Lightra, Lightga, Lightja, Gravity, Gravira, Graviga, Gravija, Magnet, Magnera, Magnega, Magneja, Cure, Cura, Curaga, Curaja... and, well, ALL the other spells don't affect temperature like this won't really have any affect.
As far as equal levels of Fire and Blizzard canceling each other out, that just makes sense. Seems perfectly logical to me.
