Name: Makoto Luwein
Nickname(optional): Princess
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Species: Human (Half-Selkie Clavat Crystal Bearer)
Position: Good (At Heart) (But has a Phobia of Strangers)
Power(s): [Crystal Affinity] [Gravity Black]
Having been born with a Symbiotic Crystal Shard inside his body, Makoto had since birth, the affinity to use Magic. The ability to use magic at mere whim, with no real limit on its usage, though that doesn't mean Makoto's body is limitless. But simply put, Makoto finds using his Magic equally as easy as swinging a sword thanks to his Crystal Affinity. Much like getting tired from swinging a sword too many times, Makoto can get tired from over-inserting himself.
The Magic Powers Makoto can use are dependent on the color of the Crystal in his body. The color determines the elemental affinity and it's strength. In Makoto's case, his Elemental Affinity is Gravity which at this point lets him use two spells and one ability.
-[Crystal Affinity: Telekinesis]
Makoto's most prominent power, and yet, the simplest power to understand. By shedding his will under his Crystal Shard, Makoto's able to manipulate, lift and throw objects. However... there are a few more things to his ability.
The heavier the object is, the harder it is to manipulate and the farther away it is, the harder it is to control. Things being wielded are also fairly hard to manipulate, as are fast things. However, much like things are harder to manipulate, things can be made easier to manipulate and life if a special seal is placed on them. A special engraving.
-[Crystal Affinity: Gravity]
Makoto's strongest spell, but also, the hardest to control he has. Even then the spell has it's limitations... The spell affects everything within 30 feet of Makoto. What it essentially does is, raise the gravity to ten times it's normal pull. It's hard to control cause Makoto has to do a few other things when using this spell: He has to keep himself from having his bones crushed by his own attack. He has to regulate the area of effect of the spell. He has to control the strength of the gravity pull and Overall, this Spell Drains his strength quick.
-[Crystal Affinity: Magnet]
Makoto's Variant of his Telekinisis power and Gravity Spell. By focusing the gravity pull on a foreign object, usually just thin-air. Makoto creates a spiraling vaccuum of sorts that picks up any loose debree, or light-weight objects or enemies. Dragging them around his planet like a magnet. Though not a very offensive power, it has it's uses, one of which is... a make-shift Shield?
[Learned Magic]
Having spent most of his life living under the Yukes, same as most other Crystal Bearers, Makoto learned a few tricks that help keep him alive.
[Fire]
-Creates a small fireball in Makoto's palm that be used to start campfires and kill prey.
[Water]
-Creates a few litters of fresh, perfectly drinkable water.
Weapon(s): Knowing well what potential Makoto had, the Yukes that raised him trained him to use more than one weapon. To always use his Telekinesis whenever he could, since that was in essence, his greatest strength. Their teachings didn't affect him in the least. But it's the reason why he has three different weapons.
[Throwing Weapons]
-Simple as simple can be. Sharp-edged throwing weapons that Makoto can control to can control to chase after things. They are essentially, his first line of defense, and he has PLENTY of them. Which is good given he can barely control more than 5 things at a time.
[Dual Chained-Swords)
-Makoto's Main Weapon, and oddly enough, the weapon he's most proficient with. Essentially, this weapon consists of two swords that can become one by adding a special chains through their pummels. With exceptionally sharp edges and Makoto's special engraving held prominently on their grip. These two swords are Makoto's weapon of choice... even if he isn't that good at using it.
[Staff]
-Just a simple curved staff fit for a Wizard that for one reason or another helps relieve the stress Makoto gets from using his Crystal Affinity. This is the weapon he usually falls back-on, and uses when embracing his sexuality.
Picture(optional):Appearance:Makoto is regrettably, a slim white skinned girl with rosy cheeks and perky breasts with an appearance comparable to a princess at first, second and even third glance. As much as Makoto hates it, it's practically undeniable to disguise the fact he's female. Just the naturally half-golden and half-blue hair is usually enough to give him away. His cute expression and girly tone also don't really help him, at all. Even if rarely ever does a smile dawn on his face.
With full-moon-like eyes colored with one of the deepest blues whose shine reflects the very sea that Selkies are told to come from. A moon riding alongside the beach where mounts of beautiful sand meld together with the sea to form a spectacle easily comparable to her cheeks. With hands as gentle as the soft dry sound found at beaches. Yet her walk, and her demeanor shows both the coming of a storm and the coming of peace. With clothes that can never decided on either to be worsts of whites or to purest of black, and but instead, come out as at the same time both. But like all princesses, this one never wears the same clothes twice in one week.
Yet, even when a constant can't be reached, there always seems to be middle ground. Even with her hair as it is, and an uncontrollable urge to never wear the same twice in one week. One thing never seems to change, the fact that her clothes always feel like their made of tougher weaving than they appear and the fact that she barely wears anything underneath them. With high-etched stockings and metal grieves (boots) and gloves made in such a way that it diverts this fact away.
Personality:(This is only an Outline, it may change in one way or another)
Appearing off as a rather innocent soul at first glance, Makoto usually tends to prove that thought wrong either, fairly fast or fairly late. Being a bit of the crazy-side, Makoto displays a multiple personality disorder of sorts. One side is dominated by him, the other, by his Crystal Shard which manifests his worst side.
His male dominant personality is anti-social, and afraid to come in contact with others. Going to the point of drawing her weapon to get others away from her. Shaking her legs and hurting herself with a beating heart whenever she’s approached. Yet, she craves being around others more than anything else. Passing by just fine when alone and feigning joy every night spent alone. But being alone can grow on her and cause her to be vicious, and interested only in life’s extremes. Hiding her appearance and pretending to be boyish as a way to cry out for attention. Even if Makoto really does share an interest for fighting.
Her crystal dominant side is however quite the opposite, social as social can be and naïve to the point where it can almost get her killed. Focused only on love and other girlish things, Makoto’s crystal dominant side is often hesitant to step out of line for fear of being ostracized by anyone. Unable to take barely any criticism, this side to her personality was just barely born and it shows.
Aside from their own quirks, there are a few traits both personalities share. The distinctive boldness to always try new things and strategies without any fear or consent for the consequences. And their madness, as makoto often sometimes speaks gibberish or things that wouldn’t make sense to others, but make perfect sense to her.
Original World: The Crystal Kingdom (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles)
Current Residing World: Radiant Garden or Traverse Town (Can I decide on this later?)
History/Background:Born in a stormy night, Makoto’s birth spelled out bad news for her parents the moment she came out of her mothers womb. With a shining black crystal popping out from her chest, and a very distinctive clank sound coming from behind them. Makoto found herself abandoned in cursed woodlands where Yukes were known to wonder mere days after she was born. With her parents showing no interest in taking care of a cursed being, Makoto began her rough live unloved by her parents. The only love she would receive would be from the Yukes, the only race in the entire kingdom that still used Magic.
But Makoto wasn’t the only one, for after every said amount of months, more crystal bearers were abandoned in Yuke Lands. But for a raise that could give birth so rarely, this wasn’t so much a burden than it was a blessing. Growing up under the Yuke’s wings, Makoto learned of the world around them from the Yukes and was treated as one of their own. Learning from them how to control what her parents would call “A Curse” and how to fight with weapons traditional to her own race amongst many other things.
Needless to say, much like the other fifteen crystal bearers around her, she became more than capable of striking it out on her own. Having learned and mastered most basic skills she’d need in life, from tailoring to blacksmithing and cooking. Yet… in the end, this was all necessary. She would later need these skills to make do in daily life, cause of what was going to happen. What the yukes predicted and were acting against. On Makoto’s thirteenth birthday, the day when Makoto was expected to take a leap into womanhood, despite the fact he was born a man, a giant black hole appeared in the sky and all heck broke loose. With the heartless spawning everywhere, and Yukes dying left and right. Every last one trying to protect their little ones as the elders cast their most potent magicks to try and send them away. To send them away to somewhere safe…
A magic that worked, and sent every last crystal bearer all across the different worlds. Forever scattering them from each other, but keeping them all safe and well. This plan would have been perfect, if only Makoto wasn’t thirteen. But… after crying for a few days straight. Makoto got her soul back together, just enough to get her walking to a nearby town where she managed to get herself hired as a Maid. Earning herself a bed, three daily meals and some money to spend on her needs. This was how Makoto spent her first year living in another world, and it was easily the roughest.
Over the next couple of years, she decided to put to use the training the Yukes gave her. Using every last bit of knowledge she remembered to prepare herself in case those ‘things’ came back to get her. But she wasn’t obsessed with fighting them, she wasn’t obsessed with revenge, she was just obsessed with getting back home to people that loved her.
Role Playing Sample:Strolling down the streets of the hallowed out hills of radiant garden, Makoto enjoyed the cool updraft of wind. Like the gentle forest calm she used to feel standing when she stuck it out by the lake when dusk was near, this was like nirvana. Stripped down of whatever worries plagued her, it was like if she separated her mind from her body and relaxed. It was only at this particular hour in this particular day that this solemn spread across like wild-fire. This feeling that reigned sup……reme…
Whisked back to reality, by an unpleasant pull of rope, Makoto noticed a girl by the peek of her eyes. Strangely dressed and seemingly in a hurry, the girl seemed to yell out to Makoto… Causing her feelings of peace to end while having another to take form…
‘I know… I know… I have to do this either I like it or not’ She thought to herself. Willing her focus to her breasts where her dormant stone lied. Waking up from its nap, the stone shined brightly with life and from the top of the hill and hundredths of feet in the sky, a cane flew down in a rush. Knowing the path and knowing the whim, the cane made its way to Makoto’s hands, long after her feet had started running. Runing in the direction from wence she saw the girl… where she suspected ‘They’ would be. Even if body started to shake in fear, she couldn’t hesitate… not after she saw a shining stone!
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? Yeah... I was sort of practicing a new style mid-way through this. A style with attributes of Puertorican writing and American. Albeit, with plenty of metaphors. If they don't work, let me know and I'll change what I can when I can.
I was also trying to decide what type of character I wanted to play. You see...I have this thing for playing either female characters or genderbent... and yeah... I started saying Makoto was male but changed it subtly to match the change. I'll fix this if I have too late.
As for personalities... I'd rather just roleplay the personality than sit down, explain it and then later, not act like it to the very word. As I typed at the start, the info there should be an outline. Not a 500 word essay...
