Darkun:I am writing to you about the recent job opening for the current instructor position that I believe you posted about in the forum. I would be more than delighted to take up the role of Instructor.
I will be completely honest with you, (even though your never supposed to say your bad points in a letter of application

) I am quite new to World Destiny as im sure you are aware. However since joining my enthusiasm for the site has been surprising even to me. I have never once felt so happy to be e member of a forum.
Now for my qualities ^^. I don’t know if you do have any records but you could ask a few people or just randomly check up. I am VERY active. I am online literally every day for several hours, heck even when I do my coursework World Destiny is still up on the bottom bar and I keep checking up on it hee hee ;p.
I never thought id say this but this is where being at school comes in useful. Although I am just a mere 15 years of age, I like to think that I am more mature than most my age. Due to the fact that I am in school it gives me exact times when I will be online and when I wont, this would help dramatically in the event that someone needs to be taken through role-playing via the academy, as I could tell them when I would be able to reply.
Another thing is that currently I am helping Sephiroth with the timelines for the Final Fantasy series, im sure he would confirm this if you do doubt me. In addition I find myself to be a very easy person to get along with and can be very caring to other people. Also I understand that many of the current staff are adults, this means that they have their work from their job and the work of the website. My homework is almost non-existent outside of school due to me doing it all in my lunch hour, freeing up even more of my time. I also have access to this website via the computers at school granting me even more opportunity to check up on the website and fulfil my duties.
Please consider my application seriously.
Shiay:Hmm, where to start, where to start....
Well, first off, I go through a lot of the profiles in the Register to RP board, and what I can't really post for people to fix, I normally inform the current Instructors (mainly Leon). Also, I'm pretty good at checking for certain errors and helping people build their RP skills. I've done some things like what this staff position is assigned to do on other sites that my friends have created, and I've been told that I'm fairly decent at it. There's also the fact that I serve as a Beta Reader on FanFiction.net and have been thanked by quite a few people that I've Beta'd for for helping them improve things such as their sentence structure and grammar.
I've also been told by some of the members here on WD as well as both Leon and Velum that I'd make a pretty decent Instructor should I be interested. So, now I'm going to try my hand at it and see what the dice roll out to be.
Sage:Alright, well, down to business. I guess you could call this my application for becoming an Instructor.
Well not really wanting to read the other's application and try to make me the best of all of them I haven't read theirs yet, just so you know.
Reasons why I want this job: Being an Instructor has always interested me. Having been a Welcomer for quite some time now I feel my skills would be better suited in a different job. Before I mentioned how I wanted this job and my feelings still have not changed, I will do this job well. I have even had some experience...
Experience: Well of course you know that I am a Welcomer, though I really don't feel like that should count as one, since you already knew that. Well on another site I'm a second admin, and one other I'm a Moderator. But again, it would be stretching the truth to leave it at that, those two sites barely need anything to be added on there since there aren't 500 members.

Handling different situations: Ah the questions people send...no matter how difficult or odd they may be I will always try to answer them or find some way to help them improve if they're sending me a new profile. However, with that being said, I make sure not to do their work for them but instead drop little hints or examples to remind them what to do.
One time I remember getting an angry message from a member that was just yelling at me for something I did, (and just if you question what I did, no it was not bad, just a bit of spamming and cussing on the Cbox), and I simply chose to not reply. So yeah, I'm sure if something like that were to happen again I would do the same thing.
Strengths : I've been told by many people that I'm quick on my feet and good with working with others. Last year in school I was accepted to be in a mediating program and certainly enjoyed doing that and helping others. I feel that I'm good at improving others' work and explaining to them what needs to be fixed and other things.
I'm sure there are other things that I'm forgetting to add and am missing but for now I'll leave my application at that. I really hope that you decide to move me up and if not, I understand.
Eleaus:With the population of World Destiny growing with more newly created characters and new people intrigued by the realm of role-playing, more instructors are needed to help them for different reasons despite to accompany member's impatience, but also to aid the other instructors to relieve the stress of the work they have to do. People have lives outside the computer screen, and more people can only make the job more easier. The task that remains is to find people best for it.
On numerous occassions, I am reading up on profiles out of curiousity. Through them I can see the development of other characters with flaws that can be corrected to insure to not have over-powerful, but well developed character. To have a character, they must have a history to help form one's personality and characteristics. At the same time, I can help someone without trying to deteriate their plans for the character by rejecting their creativity. Plently of times that had happened to myself where I had to edit a character not because of contradictions to the rules, but excess thoughts of individuals of how my character should be. In the end, it's the member's character not ours, so one should never force one to change their character, because one personally wants a different vision. This gives a sense of security to members to have a right to make their own character.
Not only are instructors to character developement, they aid new members who are new to the role-playing experience, better known as the RP Academy, a great way to teach members to be descriptive in their writing to bring out more of their characters than a simple one sentence post. It helps them to open their mind and draw out their creativity of setting a scene, a mood for other members can see a reality with their characters. While they learn and express this, they can have fun rather than feel like they are in an actual academy.
Although an Instructor may not be a Welcomer, one who job is to inform new members and have them feel welcomed, an instructor can be just as welcoming and kind. I was once a part of a roleplay where a member was practically unwanted, because of her lack of experience. They saw her annoying with her short sentences, and she was practically ignored. I took it upon myself to interact with her to make her feel more welcome, while aiding her with role-playing.
Here are the current applications we have for the Instructor position. There are two positions open.
