In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Thick soled shoes thumped along the cobblestone following old footsteps that had eroded away years ago, but remaining as staggering dissolving film in Daichi's borrowed memories, his memories. He just roamed the world like a ghost moving from place to place until he can find something stricking; he needed a power source to consume, but he haven't found a suitable host. Was he a prideful replica to resort to absorbing lifeforms just to grow?
He neccessarily wasn't, but eventually when he saw fit, it would be used as a gift to bask himself in glory of succeeding if he ever opposed a worthy opponents. Their gift of being able to oppose him despite their failure would to be apart of his collection; atleast then they would have a worthwhile purpose in life. How high is one worth if they were taken down by something that was supposed to be nothing and essentially is...nothing? Atleast with him, Daichi, they would have a bigger purpose in the greater design.
For the moment, he relaxed himself of his tense thoughts of annihilation. Overthinking everything prooved to be exhausting as the sound plattering of the fountain drew his attention. In his own little world, he reclined on the fountain and laid on the stones. A hand went limp into the cold water, while the other bend under his head as a rest. Through his lips, he hissed an inhale to breathe in the good and release the bad.
Feeling the chill of the water creep up his arm, he jumped in a shiver, and the reaction made him chuckle and smile. Atleast what he was feeling was his own, and for a moment, he felt something; he had felt for his own, which was a reality. It was real.
A strange cry echoed across the district, soft enough to bounce and echo off of the walls and houses enough that it's original location was completely lost- Until the sound was made again, that is. But a similar effect happened, and the sound's location was scrambled again. A green, oval shaped object popped around a corner. There were three black ovals on the green one; one twice the size of the others. The two smaller ovals seemed to be vison sensors, and faded into black lines twice quickly, in a manner of blinking. There were small, blue-green lines running down the length of the green body, and a brown mustache between the two "eyes" and the bigger 'mouth'. The green shape slowly retracted behind the corner, only to fully emerge and walk around the corner very sneakily.
Every couple of seconds, the green creature would stop, standing stock still. It was a perfect camouflage. Well... It would be one in a cactus patch, maybe. However, this Cactuar was on a mission- Espionage. On his first visit to this area, he had been duped into entering the fountain, not knowing what it was. Two days later, he was in a pot, inside of some human's house!
That would have ended really bad, had I not escaped that ceramic torture chair... getting watered once every three days! They must have been... Cactus eaters! With that thought, Mr. Pointy shuddered, forgetting that he was supposed to hold still. As he did so, he heard a hiss. Darting into a shadowed corner, El Cactuar examined the square. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary; a normal day, no black bug things, no white snakey things, and best of all, no people! Except for that strange human-thing sitting on the fountain.[/i]
"GEH?"
The Cactuar jumped up in surprise, but he quickly reassumed his "Disguise" pose. Another human? I wonder if he's going to try and eat me too? How come I didn't notice him sooner?! As El Cactuar looked on, his 'eyes' blinked in surprise.
The human-thing before him was playing in the water!
Well, one of the human-thing's arms was in the water, and there was an expression of slight pleasure on the face...
And then it laughed? Mr. Pointy was confused...
Slowly, the Cactuar advanced on his seemingly unknowing target. Curiosity had won the battle, and the basic instincts of the Cactauar's good-ole-days on Terra took over for a...
RANDOM BATTLE!
As the 'inconspicuous' Cactus crept closer to the unassuming hume, it stood at about six feet in height, and hadn't divided at all so far that day- so things had the potential to get very interesting.

Ellie's Note: Bwhahahaha ceramic torture chair. OMG I would hug that cactus! XD Hilarious.
"What the-" Daichi sat up hearing the strange sound bouncing off the walls. It sounded like a wounded cat who was ridiculed by a brick for meowing an opera on a wooden fence. The replica ignored and flopped back on the fountain's bricked ring, and then it happened again. Eyes snapped open as his peace was interrupted by an abused cat. You got to be kidding me
"Maybe I should've collected Munny for a ho-" he turned on his side and stopped in his little monologue to see a...plant. One eye widened with an arched brow resembling Vexen for a moment at the anomoly, "...hotel room."
"That...was not there...earlier," the replica muttered just seeing a stray cactus; he leaned around seeing no pot on it. He doubt Vexen would believe that cactus are native to a nocturnal world without the intense heat of the desert. Eyes looked towards the right, then towards the left. Was this some kind of native lame joke...dropping of random cactus, "these people...are strange, and those that it have a....is that a mustache."
Excellent! The unsuspecting humanoid had fallen for the trap!
Mr Pointy held in his satisfaction, not wanting to ruin the surprise. The human looked genuinely confused. This guy.... he looks like he's never seen a cactus before! How strange...
As the strange human walked closer, hand outstretched, aiming for... the mustache. That crossed the line. Nobody touches the Mustache... Unless they were pretty, of course. Mr. Pointy's mouth opened wider and he shook from side to side, in a "no" motion, and he swatted a needled arm at the oncoming hand, hopefully stinging it and teaching the silly human a lesson. Ha! you wont like pulling needles out of your hand!
He landed in the typical Cactuar fighting stance; body tilted at a forty five degree angle, one arm pointing up, the other pointing down, one leg bent and pointing to the sky, one leg touching the ground.
Without waiting for the stranger to respond, Mr. Pointy began shifting his position; one leg to the other, back and forth. The great ball of life-flame in the sky isn't ever awake in this world...
Without the heat of the sun, El Cactuar wouldn't be at full power. So, he'd have to rely on strategy instead.
The plan was simple. Use Headbutt; make the man Berserk. Then, run up and kick him in the shin!
The two black circles blinked again, and El Cactuar cried out: "GE-KAH!" It was a warning to the advancing stranger.

"Gaaah," the replica hissed and looked down to find needles in his hands. His teeth plucked them out before spatting it on the cobblestone. "You little-"
What the hell his glare met up with the catcus, and the still life became animated with too much reasoning. While he stood, his hand already crackled with thunder illuminating a purple static charka. His foot tapped the fountain behind him seeing his lack of room; he'll just need to manuever away at the oppurtune moment.
There's no time like the present, and Daichi took a chance and threw the chakra at the forsaken demonic weed.
Finally, a fight! it had been such a long time since Mr. Pointy had gotten into a battle, and he was just bursting with joy!
He was so happy, he almost didn't notice the strange purple-zappy thing coming toward him, until it was too late. It beaned him on the forehead, knocking the Cactuar off his feet. But he was quickly back up again, and now he was mad. The green cactus-man lowered his head, like a bull does when charging, and the three darker needles on his head briefly glowed green.
He charged in a way that if he were to miss, he would not go into the fountain, that dreaded source of water. So much water... that would certainly be a pain in the mustache! Who in their right minds would put such a horrible trap in the middle of a public area?!
As he thought this, he dashed forward, attempting to even skim the enemy with his head-spines. All it would take was a single scratch, and the enemy human would become "Berserk" and unable to utilize magic for a while. However, this would also result in an increase in strength by one and a half times; at a cost of having a slight haze in their vision- making their accuracy drop to 65% of its usual.
After rushing the enemy with his headbutt attack, he spun around, ready to fire off a volley of needles.

Seeing the cactus fall over only made the replica partially satisfied, and his eyes glanced at the chakra waiting for it to come back, but it returned to the demonic plant that rose from the floor. The catcus commenced a charge, but the replica loosened his stance to side step and utilize the plant's weight against him by using the Souleater to press against it to keep their distance apart.
Daichi delivered a slash once he manuevered around the cactus to continue it on its charge by applying more pressure on it. From above, the oppurtunist saw a purple gleam; the replica had to stretch his arm to grab the chakra to throw it again at the plant's back. His feet took a few steps back with the sword poiting offensively for cautious measures.
Brows dipped more seeing the catcus face him. His hand ignited with dark fire ready to throw, while they were still apart as flames ripped through the air.
As the Cactuar was deflected by the sword weapon, he narrowly avoided the fountain as well, but his concentration allowed the opponent to slash at his back with the sword. As Mr. Pointy Spun around to face the human, he noticed and was ready for that purple-crackly thing, and he dodged it by facing to the right.
Oh-ho-ho-ho! So the human was able to dodge the attack! Well, he won't dodge this one!
"GE-KAH!" As Mr. Pointy stood there, gathering needles, he noticed that his opponent had some kind of dark fire in his hand. Let him try to burn me... maybe it'll work! NOT.
"GE-KAH. GE-KAAAAH!" As the Cactuar screeched, he started to send out cascades of needles, which gleamed wickedly as they flew toward the human; even with an impressive evasion, at least half of the 1,000 needles would strike him! The Cactuar kept throwing these needles at his enemy until he had reached 1,000, adjusting his aim for whenever the crafty opponent moved.

The Dark Firage split 5 balls of flames at the weed, which combust on contact. The purple chakra was coming back as he jumped to get it. Pinches he felt impact his arm and then the rest of his frame; once he landed he side stepped and threw the chakra again before seeing what had struck him, needled. His teeth grab at them; eyes narrowed seeing more thin streams distort reality, and staying on his toes, he manuevered as much as possible.
All of it stung, but he had felt worse in Castle Oblivion. He was glad that Namine wasn't here it would've only been even more hectic . At times, he held up the Soul Eater to prevent needles to contact his face. Seeing the purple gleam of the Chakra, he threw it again to catch that tumble weed off gaurd.
Dammit someone should've potted or toasted that damn thing.
As El Cactuar threw the last of his needle attack at his opponent, he prepared his next move. The Dark Fire hadn't done anything to the Cactuar, but the first time the chakram came flying through, it beaned him on the head again. He didn't fall this time, because he was in a battle stance, able to resist getting knocked down.
Once he saw the purple gleam coming back, El cactuar divided himself. Where there was one tall Cactuar before, there now were three smaller Cactuar, each one identical. A unison cry echoed out from the mean looking cactuar gang, and seconds later, one dove underground while the other two charged their opponent.
The one that was underground tunneled to the back side of the humanoid, while the two that were charging split off, making a tri-angled attack. Moving at a blinding speed, the two above ground Cactuar preformed what is known as the Mystery Kick. they moved in unison until right in front of their target, and then split off; one jumping high with a stubby little leg stuck outward in a kicking gesture, while the other dodged behind and attempted to kick the human in the back of the knee.
The third Cactuar was nowhere to be seen, as it was still hiding underground.

"Damn", the replica muttered as his problem multiplied itself. He himself have used clones before and known the ultimate usage of using them to corner the target. With one gone, he can only imagine where it will end up at. With an exhale, darkness formed infront of him in a gleaming shield. Locking his knee, he shot forward at the cactus imp his right; his movement pushed him away from the targeted centerpoint as the Soul Eater pointed forward in his Helm Split.
The curverd shielding dome forced against the kick as the replica continued forward missing the unknow kick from behind. Pivoting he turned back to charge a thrust again at his targets going for whoever was closer.
