In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

His nose flared seeing the heartless come towards them. They were just shadows, but he felt a stronger spurts of heartless nearby. The shadows crept closer, and their twitchy nature always made Daichi itch. In a stance, he wielded the Souleater; the Orcus looked similar to an Invisible and even acted the same as it striked it's blade. The replica side stepped out the way, while using the blunt end of the Souleater to manuever the spear away from him giving him some control over the Orcu's weaponry.
The sharp azure eyes gave the heartless a glare before a dark flame ripped from his free hands towards the Heartless. With the attacking diversion in play. He looked up with roaming eyes to look for a patch of blonde hair. He turned to see Namine clutching her book with a grin. She declared that she would assist proving she could handle herself with the shadows. So the girl did had her own feet to stand on; it's not like it annoyed him, but it actually caused delight. In away, she was and wasn't the same girl in Castle Oblivion. Still he would make sure to keep an eye on her for the stronger Orcus doesn't get too close or allow the shadows to swarm.
Lifting Souleater, he moved in a swift charge in a sharp lunge towards the Orcus Heartless.
As Heartless after Heartless were slain, still more arose from the residue darkness of the previous, the numbers decreasing - but not quickly enough. For however long the darkest presence in the courtyard would stay, so too would the Shadows. The flickers of black continued to lunge weakly upon their new foe as they lusted on the darkness the Orcus provided.
Their king staggered lightly in the air as his strike was dodged by the silver-haired, his weapon maneuvered against him. The opportunity of weakness was left untaken; the replica had used the opening to quickly scan for his companion instead. As a result, the Orcus had a moment of time to heave its massive body out of major harm's way, taking only light damage to its side at the young man's next charge.
The great Heartless suddenly vanished. Its sword, however, continued in motion, swerving about the battlefield heavily. Turning around the courtyard, the giant orange weapon flew blockily towards the blonde female and her horde of Shadows. . .

No. Namine went low to avoid the jumping Shadows, all of them crowding around her. How would she get rid of them? They were everywhere!
And Daichi was fighting a really big one. Not good. Namine's blonde hair whipped around as she sent a couple of meaningless spells at the meager Heartless. She couldn't really help at all. The blue-eyed Nobody drew small lines through her book, destroying the small Shadows...
And then it came. The orange sword. Namine's pencil flared silver as she drew a circle on the page, with an emblem in its center. Reflect pierced the darkness, and the sword hit. The ethereal glass broke into a million shards as Namine hit the ground; the damage of the sword was distributed around her, to all the Shadows that had been clawing at her only moments before.
Too close... she thought. She felt off-balance. Her spells... They didn't provide any defense. Reflect would drain her if she wasn't careful. She needed a weapon...

Daichi's nostril flared taken in the different scents of darkness as the Orcus disappeared from sight. His eyes narrowed following the sword as he ran in hot pursuit. To make up for his distance, thunder crackled at his hand left hand as he produced the chakra. With a drawback of his arm, he sent it slicing through the air curving at the blade hopefully to hit that forsake Orcus to come out of its hiding.
In seconds he was by Namine slicing the shadows away; his hand stretched grabbing her hand to pull her to her feet without waiting for her to take it. The Souleater rotated in his hand as he held it defensively to be prepared, "Are you alright?"
He had to loosen his grip on her to be able to catch the chakra that was returning to him. Brows dipped as he eyes scanned around for any sightings of the Orcus, but he glanced back at Namine wondering if he should give the chakra to her. She needed something efficient, and all it needed was a toss. He thought against it; Daichi wouldn't be pleased with himself if she injured herself with it. No, he wasn't thinking lowly of her; the replica just wasn't going to blind himself by not thing of the possibilities.
Struck by a blaze of chakra, the Orcus flickered into visibility for a moment, caught its spinning red blade, and attempted to round off its attack with a barrage of lightning. The magic failed, canceled by the lingering effects of the silver-haired's energy.
The creature's glaring yellow eyes sparked. It flew up, out of range of the young man's strange weapon, and began to charge bolts of energy in its arms. It then released the attack, ejecting multiple slow-moving orbs in the direction of the two pale companions.
The boy was strong. If he wasn't, the king Pureblood wouldn't have been summoned to a town overrun with such weak Heartless. He also wouldn't have been forced to take to the air and resort to magic based attacks. It was strange. He was wielding a keyblade, yet the Orcus could sense no light in his heart. The girl beside him was similiar. Her heart. . . felt more alike to the replica's than any other heart the creature had sensed in its lifetime. Yet it was also very different.
But the Orcus' mind, full of darkness, thought no further on the matter. It returned its focus solely on the young man, the presence whose darkness had beckoned it here.

Namine nodded to Daichi. Yeah- she was alright. The Reflect had saved her from the attack and (partially) the collection of Shadows around her. unfortunately, the smaller enemies were multiplying with ease and Namine wasn't sure of how to handle the Orcus. It was strong, a terrible adversary, and Namine didn't know how to respond to it.
She went to work in her notebook, her pencil sketching thin, curving lines. The notebook's pages began to shimmer and she let go of it. The thin sketchpad floated eerily in the air as she threw her hand forward, letting out shards of the Blizzard spell at the Orcus.
While she didn't know the physics on it, she remembered that Thunder-type creatures were weak against ice attacks. She didn't know if it would effect the orbs moving towards them since they were already cast, but she wanted to distract the creature for long enough so they could escape.

"Namine head for the stairs," atleast that way she would be closer to the exit towards the First District. With the slow moving orbs, a flee can evade them, and she'll be a good distance away from the Orcus.
Although escape was key, Daichi wasn't going to allow this Orcus chances of cheap shots from behind. Five balls of dark firaga flashed out. They itched to combust like a ticking time bomb; atleast with that plus the blizzard attack it would increase hindering the heartless and open their window of escape. Clutching on the Soul Eater, the replica jogged towards the stairs. The chakram had flowed back in his hand as its light reflected on the black shadows that crawled along the floor like spiders.
His brows narrowed knowing that striking the ground was a futile attempt, but he chose to follow Namine out for none can attack from behind and pull them back from moving forward. Even with his mind reeling with taking precautions, the musk of darkness from the shadows and the orcus with the dilemna made the neoshadows go unnoticed. When one is so busy juggling everything, what is out of sight could be out of mind.
(( Sorry about that guys. I'd forgotten about this thread! ))
Orbs of darkness prevented the heartless king from pursuing his prey. He roared as the flames created a fleeting barrier - fighting darkness with darkness? - and lifted into the air. He didn't attempt to breach the magical flames. Not yet.
The sheering light of his eyes fell upon his greater minions, who had submissively stood aside thus far in the battle. With his gaze he awakened them, commanded them into action.
The neoshadows by the First District exit had already locked onto their targets. Lithe as shadows the two approached, forgotten by the pair approaching the top of the stairs. Their tactical minds formed a ambush around the fair-haired opponents. Then, suddenly, they sprang forward, one on each; by the other exit their companions waited but did not approach.

Namine cried out as Neo-Shadows sprang forward, her notebook in hand. In a flash, ice crystals spiderwebbed in front of her, forming a wall of thorns. That was Namine's ability: to control her magic. While it was basic in power, the way she could control it made it special. Blizzard could become a shield as well as a sword, as well as her other magicks. Thunder could become a bullet faster than light itself, such was its nature in the sky.
Her blue eyes sharpened as the Neo-Shadows flew towards her ice wall and she looked for any more intruders. She caught Daichi and nodded.
"Daichi!" Namine was motivated. She was ready to face the Darkness. "Can you still travel through the Corridors Between?" Namine wasn't afraid of the darkness; she'd been through them before and they needed to get somewhere. Anywhere. And then they could start their plans.
But before that, Namine had one more thing to say. Her alert nature seemed to ebb away. "Oh, and no matter what happens, even if we meet up with Sora and the others- I'm not going back." The gleam in her eyes showed her determination. She wasn't going to disappear again. She had friends here; she was her own person. And even if they didn't remember it, she did. Daichi remembered too. That made her... existent.

The Replica nodded in reply. He was about to speak, but she had beat him to the punch. Her words had brought a subtle smile to his face, but he was brought back to reality at the situation at hand. "If we use the corridors, we must travel fast. They are heartless afterall."
Utilizing the corridors of darkness and shutting it should buy them time before the heartless try to come after them and successfully pin-point their location. His right hand beckoned darkness and ripped the walls of reality apart revealing the passage of darkness. He glanced into out of anxiety and paranoia. To be prepared, his left hand crackled ready to release a dark firaga.
