In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

(Those who are traveling with Helga to the Second District in search for the crash pod post in here as well as those who haven't joined the plot yet.)
With the guidance she have, Helga watched the transition from the gloom Zero District, the vibrant red luminated First District, and was brought to a very cool blue vacant Second District. For all the shops it had, the activity was truly low, but that wasn't her concern at the moment. An escape pod supposively landed here, and once she tore her eyes away from her typical scouting she saw the demolished concrete under the space craft along with the stench of oil.
A large crash had awoken Ari from his nap in the red room. He quickly exited the hotel, and spied a group of people in the Second District. They appeared to be led by a tall blond woman. They were approaching a big hole in the ground that contained some kind of big metal ball. Ari watched silently, taking in the people. There was a very big variety in clothing and manner, which meant these people were mostly from disparate worlds. A slight movement on the rooftops. Ari glanced up and saw some strange dragonlike creatures gathering. They all had the same crest... The Heartless crest! "Above you!"
Marluxia was slowly walking behind Helga as Merlin took lead to look for the escape pod in the Second District. Why the Nobody decided the go along with Helga with Merlin there was beyond him; hell, he should just kill the old wizard and be done with him. A sigh escaped his lips as he gazed over the rooftops in vain to locate the metallic vessel, he flicked his wrist and a single Viper Nobody slithered up next to him and he gave a strict order. "Scour the area for anything that looks like a ship pod, if there is a living person do NOT claim their heart. Report back when you have located it." with that the Viper gave a small hiss in acknowledgment as it slithered up the side of a building.
The Assassins gaze fell upon Helga once more and Marluxia smirked, "This woman keeps her calm even when dealt a hand of possible death. Her crew is lost or cannot help in the slightest and she acts like it is all part of the master plan. Truly she would make a wonderful ally if things take a turn for the worst. Hmmm, wonder if that..." his thoughts were cut off as he heard someone scream from the rooftops. His eyes shot up to see Wyverns diving down to attack them. With another sigh the Nobody leaped forward and with another jump leaped into the air.
Outstretching his arm a single rose petal flowed out and flashed. Now wielding Graceful Dahlia Marluxia gave a swing of his scythe and cut through the first one, he landed on its body before it vanished and used it to propel himself to the others. A few swings was all it took before they were gone; nothing to troubling. Instead of landing by conventional means he vanished in a flurry of rose petals and was back on the ground almost instantly. Scythe still in hand Marluxia spoke to Merlin and Helga, "Your ship crashing in Town has riled the Heartless and now they look to fed. If we want to find this escape pod then I suggest we move fast. And I doubt those Wyverns will be the biggest problem we run into."
Merlin walked quietly between Marluxia and the human leader, Helga. As they entered the second district, the hustle and bustle of the first district died down, and the air got quiet, and it seemed to get thicker. Their footsteps were accompanied by the soft thud of Merlin's staff hitting the ground on every-other footfall, until the Nobody let out a sigh and summoned his minion.
Merlin didn't need his aura sensing abilities to see that Marluxia was unhappy that the wizard came along. However, the arrogant Nobody had a horrible habit of underestimating people, and Merlin also wanted to study the renegade in action.
He didn't have to wait long. Merlin stopped moving and looked towards the roof of one of the buildings, noticing that the darkness was gathering. His staff began to glow softly, almost pulsing like a heartbeat. As his gaze swept along the rooftops, he noticed a young man observing them from a balcony. Merlin made a mental note, hoping that it would turn out to be an ally.
The heartless presence in the area was usually thick; but today, it was thicker than usual. The foul creatures stayed out of sight until the small trio had ventured near the crash site. Just as Merlin was about to shout a warning, the man on the balcony did it for him. Merlin immediately raised his hand, palm out, and was about to fire off a spell when he noticed that Marluxia was already in the air, and moments later, the heartless dissipated. Merlin smiled, and lowered his glowing hand, allowing the spell to fade back into standby, the silver glow fading as well.
Good. It is no small wonder why he is able to stay independent from Xemnas...
Merlin nodded to the nobody in thanks, and turned to Helga. "As you can see, not all of us are limited to fighting with mundane weapons. Also, those were Heartless." Merlin gestured to where the wyverns had been. "There are many, many different varieties, each with its own strength and weakness. That variety happens to be the Wyvern Heartless. They are strong, and usually hunt in packs, as most heartless do. Also, when heartless are destroyed, they return to the darkness whence they came, unless destroyed by a very unique weapon." Merlin turned to Marluxia as he said the last part, but continued talking to Helga.
"Your biggest chance of survival is to learn how to fight them, and quickly. When destroyed, they do not immediately re-appear, unless the area has a great many heartless. Luckily, many of the common heartless are quite weak. when we encounter them, I will point them out. However, I cannot stress enough- they hunt in packs."
Merlin turned back to look at the escape pod in the center of the district, and frowned. Something isn't right...
"Helga, how many people would be able to fit in each pod?" He could sense almost seven beings, but the thickness of the pod and the energy given off and used by all of the technology within the spacecraft was muddling his readings.
Merlin shook his head turned back to Helga and Marluxia. He was about to say something when there was a multitude of soft popping noises. As he looked around, he saw soldier heartless emerging to form a crescent shap around them. The Heartless multiplied very rapidly, until there were about fifty of them. The old Wizard scowled; "Well, have fun while you can!"
As he spoke, the green orb on his staff brightened, and the silver glow returned to his palm as he pointed at a group of heartless. "Fire!" At Merlin's command, the silver glow turned orange, and a large ball of flame flew from his finger. The ball was about three quarters of the size of a soldier heartless and as it flew into the middle of a small group of the heartless, it exploded, incinerating ten or so, and sending the rest flying, where they dissipated upon hitting the ground.
However, the surging darkness around them kept supplying, and the twenty soldiers that Merlin took out with the fireball were replaced by fifteen more. Muttering to himself, Merlin readied another fireball, only to stop and smack a lunging soldier upside the head with his staff.
Smacking another soldier away, Merlin drew his short-sword. "They're faster than they look, so be careful!" As he spoke, he cleaved the disoriented soldier in half with his sword, blocking a claw swipe from another with his staff. As Merlin fought, he glanced at the others, to make sure they weren't in too much trouble.

Hearing the warning, her ears were sharp to hear the fluttering of wings behind her. Pistols were already in her hands with a readied fingers, but they faulted once seeing a bundle of pink leap after it. Lips pursed, while her mind calculated.
"We didn't pack up inexperienced personnel, so even if the heartless are foreign their specialities should hold them up for a while," Helga spoke casually to Marluxia; many have gone through the training of being ready for the unexpected. Even with the scenario of crashing landing in a foreign world, all of their skills shouldn't go to a complete waste.
Hands rested on her hips, while listening to Merlin, "Luckily, I'm a fast learner. As for the pods, I was able to fit six in mine, but when it comes to desperation of escape, who knows how many would try to save, while trying to be quick to save what you have."
It was obvious that not everyone made out of the initial destruction of the Ulysses, but this job was known to be a hazard from the start. Helga must have stepped on a red button, since soldiers began to emerge. The walked lamely like a mad patient. The militant couldn't help, but snort. Where they completely serious? Without a word, she grabbed a pistol with a whip of her arm causing a bullet to curve into multiple heartless.
As one ran at her, a heel kicked its head before she took a step on it before deliver another shot. Remembering the key note of pack hunting, she shot a bullet behind her hitting another heartless. Atleast all of this would keep her on her toes.
A huge group of armored dancing Heartless were surrounding the people. Ari held his hand out, and summoned Havok Wreaker. "Blast!" A bolt of energy leapt from the evil looking staff, and stabbed a Heartless. Ari leapt down to the ground, and smashed another over the head. "You folks look like you could use some help." Ari opened his spellbook, and flicked to the page he wanted. He began muttering to himself in the old language.

Merlin nodded and slashed through one heartless, while smacking another with his staff. He noticed that Helga held her own quite well, and was happy to hear her statement about her crew, and how they would be able to hold their own for a bit. Good. I didn't expect to baby-sit them, but we shall see how long they can hold their own very soon.
Merlin raised his staff in the air, and twirled it in his hand, then brought the wooden end back down, slamming it through one of the cobblestones that made up the street, where it stood, shining brighter than it had before. cleaving another soldier in half, Merlin held out his free hand, palm toward the sky, and called upon his magic again. "Thundaga, Strike!"
His palm glowed with an intense yellow light, which shot up into the sky. Seconds later, there was an ominous rumble, and a lightning bolt struck in the middle of a group of the soldiers. The one that it hit instantly dissipated back into the darkness, while the eight or so around it revived a chain shock that paralyzed them, halting their movements.
Merlin then noticed the dark magician joining their group. "Any help is appreciated." The old magician, took note of where the newcomer had positioned himself, as to avoid hitting him with magic.
Taking full advantage of the still paralyzed heartless, Merlin slashed through each one of them, destroying them. He looked around afterward, assessing their surroundings. The heartless seemed to be retreating back into the darkness, and they weren't being replaced when they fell. That feeling is back again... Something big is coming toward us.
"Helga, see if you can open the pod. We need to get moving, and we need to get whatever survivors we can back to the first district."
As he spoke, he whipped around and slashed through another soldier, stabbed it, and flung it away, where it hit the wall and dissipated.

A soldier begain spinning on its toes like a balerina towards Helga. Pointing the gun down, she shot a foot before kicing it away not caring where or how it landed. There was so much commontion that Helga couldn't turn to seek them out, but listen. Someone had join in the little party with assistance. She wasn't one for chit-chat during combat, especially when she had to look for crew she governed over.
The Second District was colorful with flashes of light, cracks of gunshots, clanky of metal, and a bog of evaporating blackness. The blonde nose twitched in annoyance the heartless cleared; she would need to afford more bullets or see if this world can upgrade her artillery. If she was going to be playing with these fiends, she might as well have efficient ammunition that didn't require using a numerous amount just to get the job done.
"Helga, see if you can open the pod. We need to get moving, and we need to get whatever survivors we can back to the first district."
She was already on the move with a simple nod of the head of acknowledgement. There was a keypad on the escape pod, but it sparked with electricity and was jammed. She banged on the metal calling out to anyone inside only to get muffled reply. Commanding them to stand back as far as possible, she shot the hinges of the door and the lock for it can swing open with some assistance from the inside.
"Ms. Sinclair ma'am when we crash landed we were about to start a search party, but with those...things out there and some injured from not strapping in during the dislodge, we remained here to patch them up," the blonde nodded before commanding them to move as quickly as possible and grab whatever material they had.
Seeing that the human woman could easily take care of herself eased the Assassin, "At least she isn't that worthless at all, now to take care of these nuisances." he twirled his scythe as a group of soldiers leaped toward him. The blade of the weapon easily sliced through the dark bodies but as it did more heartless rose up to take their place. Marluxia gave an annoyed sigh as he dismissed his scythe and gave a punching motion with his arm. The sleeve covering his right arm flared open and a gust of wind and rose petals flew out at the heartless. Each petal itself could take out a single heartless but the Assassin wanted to end this quickly. But, as before, more and more heartless were making the scene. "Enough of this, crawl back to the hole you Heartless came from!"
In the next few seconds a multitude of events happened; first several sunflower petals flew out of Marluxias cloak and surrounded Helga, Merlin, and the newcomer, each being surrounded by four. Second, each petal circling the people grew until it encased the person within, and third. Marluxia unleashed a hellish wave of rose petals, the entire alleyway being engulfed in a sea of dark tendrils and rose petals. Any heartless caught in it would be destroyed instantly. As the attack ended the sunflower petals shrunk once more and returned to their master. However, Marluxia was not convinced that this was the end. He turned his gaze to behind him as he could sense the darkness gathering around a stolen heart.
"You there, boy!" Marluxia pointed at the newcomer that had aided them, Protect this woman and the people inside the pod as they make their way back, Merlin, old friend. We have company."
Marluxia "Your heart is already forfeit"

N A D I A V E R D A N S K Y "I'M THE BEST BOUNTY HUNTER IN THIS PLACE..."
A single giggle escaped her soft lips as she watched from afar, glancing at the people below. She had been watching them for quite a long time, analyzing them from the dark. In fact, she had been watching those that had emerged from the pod nearby before the others had even arrived, knowing that she'd probably need to stay close just in case a band of Heartless or another of that local mob's scout parties decided to approach them.
"Hmm... interesting." She had been trained to remain unnoticed while she analyzed her surroundings, not emitting even a single sound as she did. The huntress remained silent, sneaky, like a mischievous, venomous snake watching its unsuspecting prety. Eyes of purple narrowed as she watched the battle before her; the small party of rescuers had proved to be quite talented, standing against the Heartless with remarkable skill.
Her lips curved into a smirk as the man in the dark cloak defeated the rest of the annoyances; she had not seen anything like that before and the power he seemed to have over flowers did catch her interest, slightly at least. But again, she had only been a few weeks in Traverse Town, maybe a month. The woman was practically new to the town's way of life.
Comfortably laying on the rooftop above, Nadia Verdansky continued to peer down, her eyes now fixed on the tough-looking, blonde woman. This time, surprisingly, she didn't plan to capture her precious "prey". She was there to protect them. Even though they had managed to dismiss the surrounding Heartless for a while, she was certain that peace wouldn't last long.
The crash survivors needed to get moving, and fast.
If they stayed in the Second District, practically unprotected against those remaining within the shadows, they wouldn't do any better than their other comrades. Yeah, it was quite a sad tale; the heartless had feasted on the inhabitants of the pod located at the other side of the district moments ago. Yes, they would come back, but as mere children of darkness.
She rose, standing firm as she took one last look below. The starts coating the sky above shone as she leaped, landing safely on the ground below. A wide smile graced her features as she turned around; she was a professional, after all. Drawing out her pistol, Opal, just in case another threat approached them, the huntress walked toward the group that had gathered around the metallic escape pod.
"Indeed, we do." she spoke, her voice loud enough for all of them to listen. Placing a hand on her hip, she offered them a fierce look full of determination; that's how she worked, straight to the point. "You space people are supposed to be smart, prepared for any threat out there in the unknown. But seriously, how do you expect to get out of here safely with a wrench and a few bullets?"
N A D I A V E R D A N S K Y "...AND THAT'S NOT ME BRAGGING, THAT'S FACT."
Merlin nodded, observing Marluxia's attack from behind the safety of the sunflower petal. This Nobody never ceases to amaze me, and hopefully I won't have to deal with that fact any time soon.
The old Wizard helped a few soldiers out of the pod when he felt the dark presence growing. Marluxia must have felt it as well, for he commanded the newcomer to aid and defend the space travelers and their leader. Merlin, understanding the plight, walked over to where his staff was stuck in the ground, and pulled it out from the cobbles in one swift motion. He took up a defensive position aligned with Marluxia, creating a relatively safe path toward the door to the first district.
As the female landed near the pod, a quick glance affirmed that there was no trouble from yet another newcomer, so attention was turned back to the dark threat. Merlin pointed towards one of the darker alleyways, his fingertip shining with a holy light. A small sphere of that light spiraled like a bullet, straight into the darkness, producing a loud hiss, accompanied by two slanted yellow eyes. The old wizard narrowed his own eyes, trying to peer into the the darkness surrounding the eyes, but to no avail.
As they watched, the Darkness seemed to gather itself, and with a fog-like consistency, spilled out of the alleyway. Merlin was about to fire off another light bullet when the fog began to condense into a long, thick, snake-like being. As the darkness changed into a solid form, the creature began to slowly move forward, slithering like a snake, except for a length of its body that was held upright.
Merlin looked at the creature, partly in awe, and partly in uncertainty. "Where in the universe did they find the King Salamand?" I've only seen a mighty Salamand once, but he was on the side of good. He spoke extensively of his king, and this most certainly must be it...
He looked toward Marluxia, briefly, keeping his eyes on the heartless beast. "Be careful; this thing is just as powerful as it looks. We might not be able to fully destroy it, either."
"Get the injured to safety, and quickly." Merlin briefly looked at the two females and the other Mage. "And then, if you think you are able, you can come back and help us out."
Returning his focus back to the King Salamand, Merlin drew his sword. "Ready yourself. For this shall be a long battle."
The enemy roared again, hunching down. The yellow eyes looked from one target to the other, and then to the metal pod behind them. A thin, snake-like tongue ran itself over pointed teeth, and the mouth curved into a wicked sneer. King Salamad inhaled deeply, and sent a ball of flame straight at Merlin. Expecting this sort of thing, Merlin's staff glowed a soft orange, and the fireball bounced off, smashing back into the Salamand... whom was unfazed. A cruel laugh emanated from the heartless, and it slowly advanced on Merlin's position, the long, whip like tail coiling and uncoiling with the rest of the thick, black, body.
Yes... a long battle indeed, fools...
**((Just to clarify, i have no ownership of that drawing, I found it on D.A))
Also, a quick rundown; as any enemy goes, everyone may control this guy; he's sentient, understands "common" and can speak it as well. his body used to be made of molten lava, with a thin exterior of obsidian to keep the lava to a tangible form. Becoming a heartless has exchanged the lava for darkness, and the obsidian has turned into more of a stone-skin. Despite his immense size, (about 13' lower body (snake part and tail section) and 4' upper body (not counting the horns, which are 2' in length)) he is slow, mostly because of his weight. the tail is dexterous, like another limb. Have fun!
Weaknesses: Ice (small weakness), Water (medium weakness) and Light (bigger weakness)
Resistances: Darkness (Almost completely: still affected by kinetic force and whatnot.) Fire: (Completely: as above) this means: if your spell has the power to move a full bus, then it'll move him... just the fire/darkness part won't do anything.
Other elements do "normal damage," but he has a high durability thanks to that stone-skin: magic-based attacks will do more damage, as will attacks that penetrate/ignore defenses.
Magic raged around Ari. The air tingled with it. Ari tapped into that, and attuned himself. His spell book glowed. He pointed at the crowding Shadow Spawned, and shouted, "Burn!" A huge swath of red and purple flame shot from his hand, and burned through a portion of the evil creatures.
"You there, boy! Protect this woman and the people inside the pod as they make their way back!"
Ari nodded, then pulled out a small vial. Inside a tiny fire raged, just begging to be released. Ari chucked it into the horde, and blew a hole in the Heartless formation.
"That way!" he shouted, pointing at the door to the first district. Unfortunately, as he pointed a grand demon filled the void. "Nevermind, not that way!"

"Do you know anyway?" The question hissed from Helga's teeth towards Ari. Seriously they put her in his care, while he had no way to turn and there was a basilisk and gorgon bastard child slithering about. It seemed like she had a better chance on her own.
"There's supposed to be a third district. A party earlier had went there to check for another pod. Atleast if we go there, we'll be with more people and possibly find a way back to the first district. So if you know the way point it, but I know I'm going the opposite direction of that thing, capisce." The blonde turned on her toes with her pistols loaded ordering her crew to move hastily and come along. They weren't going to object with that forsaken thing from the devil's crypt behind them.
Marluxia held his ground as the beast made its presence known. The Assassin had never seen such a creature in his life and assumed that the Heartless were growing stronger than he had anticipated. He griped his scythe as it appeared back into his hand and was about to attack when the Heartless launched an attack at Merlin first; confusion too hold of Marluxia. "Surely the Heartless would attack a Nobody first out of instinct. So why the wizard? Does this thing know who he is?" the Nobody watched as the beasts attack was sent back to it did nothing. Immunity to fire eh? Interesting.
However, Marluxia was not that surprised when it spoke to them; he had seen stranger things. He made a swiping motion with his free hand and rose petals formed in front of him. The glowing red petals danced around the Nobody forming a type of barrier, but this was not meant to be a defense, it was an attack. Another motion of his hand the petals shot out; whistling sounds following each one. With that the Nobody made a short dash and leaped into the air, readying another attack.
"You think those pathetic things have a chance against me?!"[/i] the Heartless spoke in a deep voice. It opened its mouth and a stream of fire erupted forth. The petals burned almost immediately but they were merely a ploy to distract the immense Heartless. Marluxia quickly pulled several Babies Breath from his sleeve and strung them around Graceful Dahlia and hurled it at the behemoth. The Heartless turned just in time to see the weapon flying at him and moved his hand to catch it, but as he made contact with it the flowers on it exploded, while the weapon as a whole remained unscathed; each flower a separate explosion. Keeping the momentum up Marluxia reached back into his sleeve and produced several blue and red seeds and dropped them. The explosion from his previous attack had opened up a small hole in its rock skin.
Marluxia dropped the seeds and they each landed inside the now closed hole. Vanishing in a flurry of rose petals the Nobody was back to Merlins side and explained what happened. "Those seeds I dropped in him feed off of their hosts energy. When they sap him dry they grow rapidly, taking over his body. If we can make him exert himself enough, this Heartless will be no more." with a smile on his face he summoned back Graceful Dahlia and waited.
"I do know the way, but the third district-" Ari stopped talking as the demon began to advance. He pulled out a second vial, and chucked in at the other side of the ring of Heartless. "Third distict is that way!" Ari said, pointing. "We should leave before that demon decides he wants us!" Ari smacked away a soldier, and stepped into the gap in the Heartless formation. "Just know, we won't be leaving the Heartless behind!" A Large Body choose that moment to charge Ari. "Darkness!" A large blob of black energy fired at the large body, and bounced it backward. "Hurry!"
