In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

I left staff. Not the site. There's a different, Bluey.
I left staff because of the sheer amount of bullshit going on with that. I said "it could be salvaged with a little hard work and elbow grease". Not that you should do this and say "oh, btw, gonna delete everyone and stuff, lol, 'cause I'm gonna back out of this like I always do".
That kind of attitude was WHY it was a bunch of bull. Not sorry for how poorly you ran it? You should be. This IS just as much of your fault as it is anyone else's.
If he wants to shut it down, He can. I will support him on it. i know how hard it is to be unhappy with something. And hey. I know I'll be back for when it's up again. It was a Good FOrum from what I saw, and I wholeheartedly support it's return to the living once everything is fixed.

just one question, when its back it'll be on the same site right? your not gunna move to a new site when you bring it back are you? cuz i do think this is a goood place and you run it well, so i plan on coming back when its back
No offense, Seru, but some of us take a little more offense to the idea of Bluey shutting this place down. A few of us have been here for years, and with credit to Rook and Shiay:
We've made memories here. And we DON'T want to just flush those wonderful moments down the toilet.
I may have been quite inactive lately - struggling with it over months, now - for trying to get over issues of my own. However, I feel I do still have some say in this site, and I say this.
Running away will not solve anything. The fact that you had to run away in the first place to restart a site that had a plot that refused to progress any says volumes - and that yet, Sammy, you refuse to own up to it. In the end, wash it all away and try to restart a site.
Please let me share a fact that proves true again and again: Restarting a site never works.
I've tried to, in the past, restart two sites after they had been gone for a year or more. I've seen it tried by others. Perhaps continue on from a site that died, or moved on - recreate it or reboot it. Perhaps it has some energy, or some activity; but in the end, it goes nowhere.
The reason for this is possibly linked to the reason those plot threads were ludicrous. In short, every RP is a story in itself. The stories told cannot be untold, and trying to rewrite what seems to those involved history...? Though reasons may be different: the old one died, or became problematic - or nostalgia - it has never worked for an extended period of time. I have been RPing online for ten years. I have seen this sort of thing happen before, and will likely see it again.
This is, in short, running away. That is all. There is no other term for it, no matter how you phrase it; no sugarcoating that says anything other than this beneath the surface. Try to revamp it, or make it better. Perhaps claim that you will be reopening its doors - it still does not take away from the heart of the matter.
There are memories here I'd like to keep. Let this site die with dignity at the least; don't resurrect it in an attempt to relive the glory days when it was fun. For those days are gone, and the players of them mostly moved on to other things. And they will remain such - the memories we have will make this site not be able to be fully restarted as long as there are those who remember What It Was, and How Things Used To Be. This is the fundamental premise which makes such restarts - clean wipes, or entirely new sites - never actually work. If nothing else, the admin who remade it remembers, and it will never be what it was. Ever.
Perhaps it will be something different, and I wish it well. But this, I see, as a death knell for the site as a whole.
Say what you will about my not having say anymore. Anything. It matters little now. But at least let this site be and keep what is here here. This will allow us to at least go back and read things, laugh over old memories. Deleting our accounts after we've been here for so long? Will the site still be locked to outsiders as well, so we can't even read the archives? Or do you intend to delete the archives as well?
Tch.
How disrespectful.
Yet naturally, as you seem so determined to remind us, it is your site. So do with it what you will. Very well, then, have your site. May it bring you joy.

@ Seru:
The thing is.....this place is affecting more than one person. She may be unhappy with it, but the thing is this site is bigger than to be depicted on one person. Everyone is connected to this site. I'm taking it from her post she can't stand the drama. We are all willingly to surpass it, and we just surpassed one recently. It wasn't the first and surely won't be the last piece of drama to enter into any of our lives. We all take it personally, because we all put a chunk of ourselves into this site whether people know or accept it.
I've been here for almost two years and grown to make many friends I later found in real life.
Take it personally? Yeah. But I'm not gonna rant anymore. I've done it in the past. And I have no patience for it now.
I wanted to return to the regular playerbase to relax from the staff and have fun. And some of us did leave, leave and only memories are left of it. But throw away all that I worked for? Sorry. It will. Never. Be. The same.
For an admin who was supposed to spear head this site to not take some damned responsibility and maybe be here? Like she's supposed to? That's not disrespecting anyone but the community as a whole. And pulling something like this simply because some of us refuse to put up with her any longer?

you know people, i agree with you, but i think your being a lil to agressive about it. If people decide to come back when this comes back it means a whole new start, new oppurtunities and we just start over, i understand and hate this just as much as you guys but you gotta look on the bright side. Running away aint the answer, but if they come back, they'll come back ready with a real answer, so lets just wait till it comes back, than be happy again XD
(i know, "annoying peacekeeper" but w/e, someones gotta help)
Maybe you should actually walk in our shoes, Crow. We've been here for a long time, and we're not going to allow Sammy to erase all the memories that we've created here as a community. You've not even been here for a month, really. To all of us that have been here longer? There's certain friendships and relationships that we've made here, if you were to have something like that thrown all away, then fine, that's your deal. Just to let you know, my thoughts aren't faltering from what I've said and my opinion on all of this. I'm not going to restart... I'm not going to throw everything away and try and put the pieces back together.
That kind of attitude was WHY it was a bunch of bull. Not sorry for how poorly you ran it? You should be. This IS just as much of your fault as it is anyone else's.
I never said I wasn't sorry for the way I ran it. I said that I was. All of this is mostly my fault. It's barely anyone elses'.
