In short, Akira is a bright, determined young boy.
Akira likes to think of the people as two groups: Friends and strangers. He sees friends as people he can rely on and are always with there for him. He sees strangers as future friends. Sometimes people find Akira annoying with his jolly attitude even in the grimmest of times, but that never makes Akira change. Akira also has a laid-back personality.
Akira almost never gets angry; he may be determined but never angry. People that are close to Akira wouldn't be surprised if they saw him taking a nap on the side of the road. Although Akira doesn't hate many things, in fact the only thing he does hate are heartless.
Original World: Ignis Forests.
Current World: Radiant Garden.
History: Akira was born and raised in the 2nd forest of the 4 Ignus Forests, were the leaves on the trees were always bright red. Akira grew up as an only child since his mother Akane Hayashi, an Ignus Valkyrie (A group of female-soldiers in Ignus Forest), went to war with the Heartless and never returned. His father Hiro Hayashi, a forest animal tamer, became a widower and raised Akira alone. In his village, Akira was always a popular kid and had countless friends and acquaintances. Even though Akira had many friends, he only had one very close one: Ichirou Kawa.
When Akira was 8, his father started to teach him about taming wild animals. Though Akira did somewhat like it, he did not have the patience to stick with it. His father was disappointed, but he quickly recovered. Soon after, he started to take Akira to a sword fighting training school. After the first lesson when his father was going to pick Akira up, the teacher told him that Akira had no talent in the warrior's way and continuing his lessons would be pointless, but his ignored this and continued Akira's lessons.
When Akira was 9 and still made no progress, his father abandoned the dream of making Akira a warrior. One night in the village, they had their annual festival, "Festival of Star-Seekers." The village was covered in colorful patterned tents and full of games. Akira entered a specific tent that had small, cartoon, animals printed on it. The man inside the tent explained to Akira and a small group of villagers about what a summoner is and his/her powers.
When the crowd left, the man was surprised to see Akira, especially since he was young and most kids his age had a short attention span. The man explained summoning to Akira a bit more, than asked him to leave. Akira found his father in a large crowd watching people do special talents, such as fire-breathing or sword-swallowing. Akira told his father he wanted to be a summoner. His father was thrilled that Akira was motivated to learn something.
Akira was now 12, and he was an extraordinary summoner. When Akira was walking to Ichirou's house, an Ignus knight came to him and gave him horrifying news. Akira's father was taming animals deep in the 4th forest when a group of heartless came and attacked him. He fought along with his animals, but the heartless were to strong, and he lost his heart. Akira had now built a strong hatred towards heartless.
Akira knew there was a huge war going against the heartless at this time, even though it was secret and the adults kept it from the children. The Ignus knight was planning to take Akira to an orphanage in the 1st forest, but Akira escaped from him. When Akira was gone, he planned to fight against the heartless as well, to avenge his parent's deaths. He asked Ichirou if he would want to help him fight the heartless. Ichirou accepted immediately, he too having a hate for heartless or any kind of darkness for that matter.
Akira and Ichirou set out for the 4th forest, where the most heartless had been spotted. When the two friends found the large colony of heartless on the top right side of the 4th forest, they waged into battle. Akira and Ichirou were being outnumbered and overpowered by the heartless. A pile of heartless leaped at Ichirou, and his heart was devoured by the heartless. Akira was now alone with countless heartless, weak and feeble. Akira escaped, hardly, and headed north.
After walking miles without food or water, Akira say a weird shaped ship fall from the sky and landed near him. When he went to the crashed vessel, he saw a young man fixing loose parts. Akira and the young man had a conversation about his "gummi" ship how it could go to different worlds. Soon heartless came and devoured the man's heart, but Akira hid in the gummi ship, until the heartless left. He than started the gummi ship and left his world. When he looked back at his world, he was horrified to see that over half of his world was covered in darkness, only the 1st and 2nd forest were remained. He could do nothing but watch as more and more of his world was fading away. The gummi ship flew to a world called, Radiant Garden, where Akira resides now.
Role Playing Sample: Akira was walking downtown, in an upbeat mood as always. While walking, a group of bikers came up to Akira. Akira actually didn't notice them until he bumped into one of the biker's stone-hard stomach. He looked up at the biker's face as if he saw a thunderstorm coming. Most of them had no hair, the others that didn't had buzz cuts.
As he looked at their ragged and torn clothes, he saw that everyone of their bodies were covered in tattoos. Most of them had piercing, ears, noses, lips, all kinds.
Akira asked cheerfully, "Um... Can I help you?"
A large man, even larger than all of the others, shoved his way through the crowd and growled at the sight of Akira.
"Yeah," the man said in a gruff voice, "We're tired of seeing that jolly face of yours. If you don't stop it, we'll just have to teach you a lesson."
Akira's face remained unchanged as he said, "Huh? It's a bad thing to be happy?"
All of the bikers laughed and pointed at Akira, while turning their faces to other members of their gang. As the leader slowly lifted his right hand, the other members stopped laughing almost immediately.
"Yeah." The leader said in a straight voice. His right hand, still raised, formed into a fist.
The leader said, "It's bad."
Immediately after he said this, his fist flew through the air towards Akira, ready to slam againist his face. Before the leader managed to even touch Akira, Akira flipped over the leader and landed in the center of the circle of bikers.
"Listen guys," Akira said in a still leveled voice, "I don't want a fight."
"To bad!" A brave member of the bikers said as he charged at Akira with full force.
Akira simply kicked the biker back, who fell to ground after the impact, holding his chest. This angered the ofter members and hurriedly attacked Akira, some with chains and bats. Akira kicked a few other bikers back, but realized there were to many. Akira jumped on a bikers shiny head and leaped out of the circle. Akira rested one of his knees on the ground and raised his staff to the skys.
"Please, assist me!" Akira pleaded to the cloudless sky.
The bikers stopped trying to attack Akira and stared at him. They all began to laugh at Akira, still on the ground, in unison. Even the leader bellowed at Akira, on the ground pleading to the air around him.
When the leader was finished laughing he said, "Listen loser, why don't you just beat it?"
They all begun to laugh again. But their joke was over when they heard a voice behind them that said, "Sorry I'm late A-Akira."
They all looked behind them and saw, a small cactus monster bent over, panting. Cactuar.
A biker said, "And who are yo-"
Catuar raised his hand to stop their conversation and said, "G-Gimme a minute."
Cactuar continued to breath heavily, everyone around him being in an awkward silence, even Akira. Cactuar lifted himself and was breathing normally again. He looked at the bikers, and than looked at Akira, now standing.
"Psst! Akira! This is it?!" Cactuar whispered to Akira, covering one side of his mouth with his hand.
Akira scratched the back of his head and said, "Yeah, sorry to disappoint you."
Cactuar looked at the ground and started to stomp his feet.
Cactuar said loudly, "Awww! But I wanted more of a challenge!"
The bikers were now offended and targeted on Cactuar. They began to charge at Cactuar, but were stopped halfway when Cactuar rose his right hand and pointed it at the crew of bikers, with a straight, bored face.
Cactuar sighed and said,
"Bang." Than he shot 76 needles at bikers, one for each of them. They all began to yelp and yowl with pain. The bikers all ran away, holding the spot of their bodies where they had been pinned.
Cactuar looked at Akira, still having a bored look upon his face as he said, "There you go, buddy."
After he said this, his bodied disappeared in a clear white cloud instanly, showing his job was done. Akira cleaned the dirt off of his pants and than began to walk away, in the same direction he was walking to begin with, in the same attitude.
