Weapons: Artemis' main weapon is a bow called Divinity.
It is a wooden bow with metal handles. It is unusually powerful and can shoot up to 100 yards on a windless day. His other main weapon is his Summoner staff, Spark. It is a staff with a blue orb on the end, which contains electricity in it.
Appearance: Artemis is unusually tall for being mostly human, standing at 6' 3" and weighing 175 lbs. He has long, curly silver hair and deep blue eyes speckled with gold. His appearance is similar to one of the angel statues in Djose temple, giving him his nickname "Angel." He wears two pearl-orb earrings and a silver chain around his neck. A white and gray summoners robe hides a very well-cut gray coat. He wears white and black boots that go halfway up his calves.
His casual wear consists of a white cotton shirt and a brown pair of breeches, usually worn when he wants to blend in. His ever present quiver pokes over his left shoulder, full of arrows. On occasion he will don a grey robe that he purchased in Radiant Garden, used for combating the cold and rain.
Personality: Artemis' way of thinking is very chivalrous, and he shows a great respect to all humans. He always says people's names with honorifics, like "Lady" or "Lord." He allows enemies the first attack in battle, unless they are Heartless. He is also very religious, and prays to Yevon every day. When battling, he will use both physical and magical attacks to subdue the opponent, prefering to outsmart the enemy instead of overpowering them. Brains before brawn is his specialty, and he will observe his opponent until he finds out their weakness. It is then when he will strike.
He is usually seen with a happy expression on his face, which is a mask to hide his true emotions. Inside, he longs to return Spira and defeat Sin. He blames himself for coming so close and failing.
History: It is unsure who Artemis' parents were, for he was found in front of the Djose temple. The head priest found him, holding a handwritten note saying his parents had no other choice but to leave him. They also wished him to be called Artemis and to have him trained as a Summoner. The priest adopted him into the care of the Djose Temple, deciding to fulfill Artemis' parents’ wishes. When Artemis came of age, he was trained to be a summoner. In his spare time, he played with the full summoners of the temple, studying their Aeons. But, out of all of them, he fell in love with one particular Aeon, the stallion Ixion. His friend Jasone had gained this Aeon, and Artemis played with it as much as he could. He was trained in black magic and bowmanship by his request, a set of skills unusual to summoners, but which he excelled in. He also practiced white magic, but only on a small scale.
At age 16, Artemis was granted permission to enter the fayth and pray for an Aeon. Once he went into the fayth, he prayed with all his heart for the stallion Aeon, pouring his very essence into this one prayer. When he emerged, he was a different man. He summoned his new Aeon and named it Apollo. After exiting the fayth, the head priest told him he would have to enter all the other temples and gain their Aeons. Choosing his friends Avra and Lesli as his Guardians and left for the temple in Besaid. As he travelled to the other temples, he gained four more aeons: Hermes, the roc Aeon, Prometheus, the Aeon of fire, Aphrodite, the Aeon of ice and Pluto, the dragon Aeon. As he was travelling to Mt. Gagezet, he practiced with his Aeons in combat.
That was when disaster struck.
The ship was attacked by Sinspawn and was brought to a halt. Artemis, Lesli and Avra were able to fight them off, but then an even bigger problem showed up.
Sin.
The great whale-like creature of darkness rammed the ship, causing Lesli and Avra to fall into the ocean. Diving after them, Artemis was enveloped in Sin's darkness. As he was in this darkness, he felt as if he was endlessly falling. This went on for what seemed to be an eternity. But when the feeling stopped, he opened his eyes to see a girl standing over him.
RP Sample: See Arthas.
((Alright, here's the re-post. And just a note, Hermes isn't in his possession yet, but rather in the hands of Organization XIII))
