In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Anger. He hated this whole situation, working with a monster like Deathblade. But what could he do? Kill him? Sadly, that wasn’t an option, due to the fact that Saxen, a friend, shared the same body with the killer. Or maybe not… Seeing Deathblade grab the wall next to him, he challenged him. The man simply glared at him in response. What should he do was now the question. Accept the challenge and hopefully end the life of the only danger to him and his love’s life? Thinking about it for a moment, he decided what he was going to do. Normally, he’d come up with a better decision, but the anger he was feeling then took over his thoughts. And his decision was to send Deathblade to oblivion. With that single thought, he let go of the wall and descended towards the ground at an uncontrollable speed. Once he was near ground, the gravity controller instantly manipulated his gravity, giving him a decent landing.
He looked at the ground for a second and then instantly glared at his opponent. His grip on the sword tightened, clearly showing how pissed he was. Oh how he wanted to send the blade of the sword through Deathblade’s chest. And there he was. Shiro was facing Deathblade in a fight to the death. About to lunge towards Deathblade to strike, his eyes met those of someone who had just approached them. And it was his love, V, who had jumped down to catch up to the two of them. Eyes widened, his mind actually started to think about the situation, ignoring the anger towards Deathblade. She… She shouldn’t be down here. S-she could get hurt... Actually starting to think about how he looked at the moment, he loosened his grip around the sword. I’m protecting her, right? I mean, that’s the reason why I’m fighting him, right? Or am I just making the whole situation worse? We are supposed to be helping Saxen save his world, right? Perhaps fighting him isn’t the best idea. I mean, how am I going to protect us from future dangers if I’m wounded from this fight? Plus, killing Deathblade would only stack the odds against us in a future fight with the heartless. So… So… What am I doing?
Now that his mind was made up, he let go of the sword. Besides, he was showing V his ugly side, a part of him he never wanted V to see. But what could he do? Sometimes he couldn’t control his anger at times. Then, turning his attention back towards Deathblade, he was going to feud between them for now. Walking up to Deathblade, Shiro glared at him. ”I’m not going to fight you. Why? Because I’m better than that,” he told him with a serious tone. And then the man turned around and continued to walk. Then his mind instantly went back to what he was thinking earlier. He wanted to get this thing over and done with.

Deathblade had been waiting at the crook in the vertical tunnel for only a few seconds before Shiro came down after him. He smiled. It seemed like he might get the fight he was hoping for. He simply stood there as Shiro prepared to lunge at him. Deathblade didn't even flinch. Then, V showed up and Shiro dropped the sword. "That's so disappointing. I thought you'd actually be a little bit of fun." he laughed. "The heartless are so boring. They don't think and they just keep coming." Deathblade had been wanting to kill almost everyone he met since his birth. At this point, he had decided that he would settle for some blood, but it looked like he wouldn't even get that. Shiro was just no fun. He'd get all worked up, but then he'd find some reason to back down.
”I’m not going to fight you. Why? Because I’m better than that.”
"No, that's not why. It's because you can't follow through with your threats. You told me that you would kill me if you could do so without killing Saxen. I gave you the chance! But, lo and behold, you didn't take it! You are nothing but a weakling and a fool! Making threats you have no intention of keeping to people that have no problem with taking your blood! These things show a lack of good judgment." At this point, Deathblade was beyond disappointed, he was infuriated. "If this is how you act with every threat, I don't see how you can protect V from anything!" After saying this, Deathblade smiled again. He knew that that would have to have hit a nerve with Shiro. As far as Deathblade knew, V was the only thing Shiro really cared about, and questioning his ability to protect her . . . he knew it would hurt.
Saxen _______________
Saxen was just recovering from his shock at Deathblade's actions (that he still wasn't sure about) as V left. "Oh great . . ." he muttered. He had never been a fan of heights and had always been terrified of them. His fear had been diminished a bit when he started flying on bats, but he was still scared whenever he wasn't on one. He started breathing heavy and tears started rolling down his face. His anxiety was getting the better of him. "I have to stay calm . . ." he thought to himself. He was so nervous, that even his mental voice was shaking. He tried to focus himself and start moving down. He found a hold for his left foot, moved his right hand down, then his left, and then he found a place for his right foot. His progress was painfully slow, but at least he was moving.
V's eye's widened as she saw what was going on, Shiro and Deathblade were gonna fight, probably to the death. She stopped suddenly looking at the two men, it sort of reminded her of Shiro's fight with Saxen, and how that ended up. What was she to do? Luckily her love let go of his sword, telling Deathblade he wasnt going to fight him. This made the girl let out a sigh of relief, however her mood soon changed to anger as she listened to what Deathblade said. She instantly glared at him saying silently but just enough so he could hear, "Shut... the hell up Deathblade..."
She walked past him, only turning her head for a second. "You can threaten me all you want...but dont you dare insult Shiro..." She looked at the man with a cold stare, showing a side of V that had never been shown before. Why was she reacting this way? Was it because she cared for Shiro? Probablly...but before she could ponder over it anymore she turned her head back around. And rushing towards Shiro didnt bother to look back.
The mind of Shiro had a hard time controlling his anger he felt towards Deathblade at the moment. As the man walked, Deathblade insulted him over and over again. All he could really do was try his best to ignore the words and continue on forward. But it was really hard… And then Deathblade said one comment that Shiro couldn’t ignore. "If this is how you act with every threat, I don't see how you can protect V from anything!"
Instantly, the man spun around and aimed his hand at his fallen sword. Making one quick movement with his hand, the sword’s handle was instantly in his hand with a tighter grip than before. Questioning Shiro’s ability to protect his love wasn’t something he just could not ignore. Even though he wanted to control his anger, he just couldn’t when it came to that. But before he could even lunge at Deathblade and strike, his love spoke up. Honestly he was surprised at V’s reaction, but not enough to distract him from the situation. The gravity controller still wanted to rip Deathblade’s head off to prove Deathblade wrong. Then V rushed towards his side, which prevented him from starting the duel. As much as he wanted to ignore V and finally start the damn thing, he couldn’t. Giving Deathblade a furious glare, he clenched his teeth tightly. Then, slowly, he struggled to move his hand to his backpack and zipped it open. Once open, he put his sword away. Zipping it up, his hands quickly turned into fists. Turning around, he continued to walk. Shiro had a very hard time walking away from the situation. Normally, he’d be alright and insults wouldn’t affect him. But when his love was involved, everything was different.
His mind went blank as he walked, trying to ignore everything. Why was he ignoring everything? The answer was simple. He knew Deathblade saw how close he was to getting into the fight, so why wouldn’t he make more comments involving V again?
Deathblade was . . . irritated - to say the least - when V got herself involved. Part of him wanted to like her, but she just kept saying the wrong things today. "Oh, V . . ." he started, looking down and shaking his head, "How unlike you to say such things. You're usually such a nice person. Don't tell me that being with me has tainted you. If it's that bad just talking to me, imagine what Saxen must go through having me in his head ALL THE TIME." With that, he started laughing in such a way that would send grown men running for shelter. The chamber they were in echoed it and gave it an eerie presence. "And Shiro, are you still walking away?!? Do you need V to take you away so you don't get yourself killed?!? Tell me, who's really protecting whom here?!?" he continued his laugh again, and watched the lantern-lights. "I was hoping for some BLOOD!!!" He glared at them and, dropping the laugh, opted for a maniacal smile, instead. His denied craving was obvious in the look in his eyes and face.
Saxen had been climbing down the wall, slowly but surely, for a while when he heard Deathblade's first ranting. "Oh no . . . not this again . . ."[/b] he thought. He was distracted by Deathblade's ranting and slipped, falling painfully the rest of the way to the bottom with a thud about half-way through Deathblade's second speech. Saxen's head cleared up enough just in time to hear Deathblade shouting that he wanted blood. Saxen got up slowly and pulled out his gold sword. "If you want blood, then you'll have to take mine!" he yelled into the cavern. "That's what you've always wanted, right? You want me gone so you can have all the power you can possibly have! You don't want to share the Rizarnall's gifts; you want them for yourself! You and me, a fight to the death. Right now." Toward the end, his voice took on a grave tone and his face had a look that would have scared himself if he could see it.
They were both ready to kill each other, and they both knew what the consequences would be if they did.
V looked back at Deathblade as he finished his comment towards her, "Don't assume who people are just because of how they act normally." she replied. At that moment her aura began to grow, a part of it already separating itself in order to form into something else. She took in a deep breathe, trying to control her anger. However, it got worst. With every comment Deathblade made, the more angry she became. She couldn't understand why she was acting this way, usually she would stand aside and just try to reason with everyone but not this time.
She clenched her hands into fists, finally her aura reached a point where it was so great that even herself had to admit it was suffocating. She could feel her conscious starting to fall asleep, her eyes becoming slightly clouded. At this rate what happened in Radiant Garden that one time, would happen again. At this point, V became fully aware of what the current situation was, she saw Saxen and Deathblade turned to eachother ready to fight. At that moment the girl's anger went away, but it was too late. Her aura had splitten up into six large demonic hands, at any second they would attack this entire area.
'Oh no...' she thought, she tried to control her aura calling it back to her, but before she knew it the young girl suddenly fell unconscious. Now trapped in darkness, V's eyes were intially closed. It was then the young girl heard a voice in her head.
"V..." it said softly. The girl opened her eyes slowly, feeling as if she was in a dark void just floating around, she recognized the voice and replied in a whisper, "Shira?" There was silence at first but then she heard her dark persona speak up again, "You've had a lot to worry about today..." she said. V chuckled, "I guess...I just...everything seems to be getting out of hand." "I know..." Shira replied, "Don't worry...I'm gonna fix this, why don't you rest...afterall, you deserve it."
At first V wanted to say no, but once again she fell unconcious. At that moment outside the girls soul, something strange happened. Her eyepatch began to move, it wiggled at first, but then going past the girls long bangs, it slid itself across her face covering her lovely lilac eye. Her aura paused, as if it was frozen in time. Then, as Shira began to awake, the demonic hands started to disperse piecing themselves back togeather around the girls body. The dark persona looked around, seeing that her better half had fallen to the ground once she fell asleep. She got up, and looking at the two men ready to kill eachother in an instant sighed, 'morons...' she thought to herself.
She acted quickly. The red eyed persona flashstepped in front of both the men, as she did she instantly punched them both hard in the stomach, she then grabbed them by the shoulders and lifting them up in the air for a second, threw them back onto the ground hard. She then murmured, "Idiots...what are you making such a fuss for?"
She stared at them both in the eye's, "The reason V and I came here was so that we could gain me my own body...I didn't come so that we could all mass-murder eachother." At that moment she stopped for a moment to sigh, "Look...I don't have that much time...im already starting to lose control over V's powers. If this is how you guys are gonna act, then so be it. I'll grab Shiro, and take us both up to the surface...We'll then leave, and I'll... live the rest of the life I have left and disappear. No body is worth this much grief." And ending her sentence, the dark persona walked away from the two men, and moving to Shiro's side said. "Sorry, but V's asleep...so she wont be coming back anytime soon. But don't worry.." she stopped to look at the gravity controller in the eye's. "We both want this to be done and over with, so whatever choice they make, let's just try to cooperate with eachother until we're finally out of this god-forsaken cave..."
Shira didnt give the man anytime to answer, she suddenly turned her head and looking back at Saxen and Deathblade waited to see what they would say.

He had to ignore Deathblade, he just had to. It was really hard too, due to the fact that Deathblade was pretty much yelling comments and insults at him. But he had to keep his cool; otherwise an unnecessary fight would occur. So the man just continued to walk, trying his best to block Deathblade’s comments from entering his head. Someone’s words somehow managed to enter his head, but they weren’t Deathblade’s. They were Saxen’s. Turning his head slightly, the gravity controller watched Saxen as he spoke. So Saxen decided to join the party now, eh? Well, it looked like there would be a fight between the two of them now. He really wanted to join Saxen’s side and finish off Deathblade, but Shiro decided it was best for him to just keep on walking. He’d just watch and see the outcome.
Shiro looked at his love, because he wanted to know what she was doing or was about to do. Would she get involved? Once his eyes saw what was happening to her, he knew the answer instantly. Yes. The demonic hands formed again. The last time it happened was in Radiant Garden. Instantly the man ran to her side and caught her before her body could touch the ground. As much as he wanted to stay there with her in his arms, he knew that there would be no chance of that. The demonic hands would attack him in the next few seconds for sure. Something else happened instead. His love’s eye patch wiggled and then moved to the other side, covering his love’s beautiful eye. That only meant one thing. Shira.
The gravity controller slowly rested his love’s body on the ground and backed away. He knew Shira wouldn’t like it if she woke to see being held by him. He didn’t want that to happen either. Once Shira woke, the first thing she did was cause some pain to both Saxen and Deathblade. Once done, she gave them a choice. It was either set aside their differences and continue on or fight to the death and have Shiro and her leave. Personally, he liked the second option, but he’d remain quiet and wait for the other two’s decision. Then Shira changed her attention to him, basically telling him that they’d have to cooperate with each other until they get out of the cave. Nodding his head, he turned his attention towards Saxen and Deathblade as well, and waited for an answer. Hopefully they’d make up their minds quick.
Saxen and Deathblade were both taken completely by surprise by Shira's sudden attack. Luckily for all, Saxen was able to recover more quickly. He shot some bone fragments into Deathblade's chest. They would be enough to throw him off. Saxen used this time to lunge forward and stick his hand into Deathblade. "I am in control!" he yelled. He focused on reconnecting with Deathblade and forcing him into submission. "I was chosen, not you. You weren't even meant to exist!" Saxen was doing his best to tear down Deathblade's mental barriers and distracting him. In the end, Deathblade melted over Saxen and was forced into unconsciousness. Saxen fell to the ground, breathing heavily. He got back up and started walking toward the next downward tunnel. "Come on, he won't be a problem, anymore," Saxen stated plainly, though, in the back of his mind, he heard, "Is that what I am? A problem?" Saxen looked down at the ground and stopped for a moment. He sighed.
"Y'know, I think I need to explain a few things to you, and if V could hear it, too, that would be awesome, though she seems to understand that people aren't quite what they seem to be." He closed his eyes and sighed again. "Deathblade's barely even been alive for a year, if that. He has no past. That means no family, no friends, no experience on how to deal with people. Everything he knows about life, he learned from my strongest memories. What he is . . . it's my fault. A person's strongest memories are the most recent, and the most life-changing. For me, those were all about people destroying my life and injuring my friends, so all he saw was people at their worst. He also picked up on one of my strongest desires: to be stronger. Now, his reasoning and mine are totally different. He hated people and wanted to be strong enough to wipe them out. He tried to get that power by destroying me, but I won, so, now, he has to content himself with picking fights and hoping to kill someone dumb enough to fight him. It's not really his fault; it's mine." With that said, Saxen got back to climbing, remaining silent as he started down.
As Shira listened to Saxens explanation about Deathblade, she just nodded her head. She then began to follow Saxen however, as she did so she could hear V in her head. Her voice sounding weak, as if she had just been crying. "I'm sorry..." She whispered, a small sniffle soon following after. Shira's eye's widened, "What are you sorry for?" she asked her better half, "It's not your fault." she added. "But it is..." V replied, "I wasnt thinking, I yelled at Deathblade because I got mad at what he said...that wasn't right of me.." "And why not?" Shira asked confused about the girl's thoughts "Wasn't he insulting Shiro? Isn't it only reasonable that you get angry then?"
"No..." Was V's reply. Shira's eye's widened, her thoughts confused. Just what was V thinking? The dark persona could swear, at times even she didn't know. But she knew V's intentions were always for good. She had a kind soul, and therefore always thought of everyone as her friend, even to those that were not at all friendly towards her. 'Your always so nice...' Shira thought, "Even when you yourself are hurt, your always smiling...V...' At this the dark persona then sighed, a small smile on her face. "Would you like for me to tell him that then?" she asked. At first Shira heard nothing, but then after a second went by V replied with a simple, "yes." Shira sighed,"fine then.." she said.
At that moment, Shira quickened her pace. She caught up to Saxen, and putting her hand on his shoulders asked,"Hey, can you give Deathblade a message? It's from V..." Shira looked into the boys eye's then, "I don't know if he can hear me..." She said,"But, V wants to apologize...She say's she sorry for her behavior earlier and hopes that you will forgive her also..." Shira added, "She wants to be friends with you Deathblade...She doesn't believe your a bad guy...and truthfully I don't think so either." As she finished, Shira let go of Saxen's shoulder and continuing to climb down remained silent afterwards.

Shiro really hated the outcome of this. He hated the apology from Saxen. It wasn’t necessary. Deathblade was an ass and that was it. Deathblade shouldn’t exist and that was it. Those were the thoughts that were running through his mind. Then, to make everything worse, V apologized. V was trying to be nice and he knew that. She was always friendly, which was one thing he will always love about her, but there were just some things… There were some things that V didn’t have to apologize for. Ugh… Sometimes I wish I could be as friendly as V… But I just can’t… The man remained silent the whole conversation. He didn’t want to be part of it. So when Saxen started to climb down again, he simply followed. He wanted this to be done and over with.
(UGH!!!!!!!!!!! Short post!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m sorry…)
Saxen was quite surprised at the response that V and Shira gave him, though he somewhat expected the reaction he got from Shiro. As Shira spoke, he could feel Deathblade retreating further and further into their mind; he didn't want to hear it. Any of it. Part of Saxen wanted to hate Deathblade, and the remaining part wanted to hate himself, but, as he climbed down, he heard a voice in his head that didn't belong to either him or Deathblade. He knew the voice. It told him that hate was not the way. He couldn't hate himself or anyone else. He sighed and kept climbing down. He was still angry, but he had a choice about what he could do with that anger. What was he going to do? He wasn't sure, but he'd figure it out. He felt the ground beneath his feet while he was still thinking. "We're at the bottom!" he called up. He looked around, but he couldn't see much. He couldn't cast Fire, because magic didn't work on this world. Then, he remembered the lanterns he had made. He pulled his off his belt and held it up. Looking out, he could just make out the walls of one of the outer cities. They seemed . . . damaged, to say the least. "What the . . ." he muttered. "What coulda done that?" He looked over at Shiro and Shira and then back to the walls. "I think things just got worse."
Shira was glad that they had finally reached the bottom, however the view she saw afterwards surprised her. The walls of an outer city looked majorly damaged she looked at Saxen and examining the cracks in the wall said. "We should keep going...I have a feeling staying in one place for too long may not be the best thing for us." She grabbed Hibiki from the holder on her back, and holding it along the end of her hip waited for Saxen to start moving again. However, soon she felt a sharp pain within herself. Her eye's widened, and cringing at the pain shook her head slightly. 'Damn it...' she thought, 'Looks like my soul's already starting to become one with V...' She gripped the scythe firmly in her hands, and feeling the pain slowly diminish relaxed slightly. Hopefully they would be able to get this thing done and over with soon, otherwise...she guessed all of this would have been for nothing.
Shiro followed Saxen all the way down and continued to be silent. Once down, he looked at what the others were looking. The walls, they were damaged. Huh. Well, he assumed there was going to be a lot of fighting during the time on this world, so having a few damaged walls wasn’t a big deal to him. If the battles would get close to the walls, they’d make it even more damaged anyway. Well, he knew he would. If there would be a chance of taking out dozens of heartless with one wall, he’d try to take it. Shira then said that they should keep going. He agreed completely. Shiro wanted to get it done and over with, so standing there and talking about how the world’s changes would just waste time. He started to walk, but quickly stopped when he noticed something. Shira looked like she was in pain for a second there. ”Hey, are you alright?” he asked Shira. He probably wouldn’t get a good answer from Shira, probably something like “I’m fine.” But the gravity controller just wanted to make sure she was capable to fight. He didn’t want one of his allies in pain during battle.
"We should keep going...I have a feeling staying in one place for too long may not be the best thing for us."
Saxen sighed. "Agreed," he stated. This was not a good situation for them. If they got through the wall, then there wasn't another solid layer of defense in the city, except for the castle. Sure, they had several layers of defense, but the wall was by far the strongest of the remaining defenses. Point being that if the Heartless got past the wall, their numbers were growing. Shira's feeling was probably a correct one. He looked over at her and she looked pained, but she was fine soon after. He took a deep breath. They needed to move and they needed to move fast. He was already trying to prioritize. What needed done and in what order. He was really wishing for some Nutara (bats) to show up, but that wasn't likely.
"Alright, here's the plan- " he was saying, just as the world chose to prove him wrong. Three bats landed right near them, and he recognized the one leading. "Kalck?" he asked as he walked a little closer. After a few steps, a wide smile found its way onto his face. He wrapped his arms around the Nutar's neck. "Man, I've missed you! Flyin a ship ain't nothin like flyin bareback on a Nutar." His face was buried in the bat's fur and Kalck had wrapped his wings around Saxen in an awkward attempt at a hug.
"I have missed you, as well, but we have made due, as I am sure you have," Kalck said, in a forced, deep voice.
The two broke apart and Saxen turned serious again. Now was the time for planning. He turned to Shiro and Shira and started talking. "First thing we need to do is check on that city over there. Since the wall's down, that means that everyone will have been relocated to the castle. I just want to stop in and get a status report. As soon as we get that, we're going to the Wildy to talk to Shockjaw. He'll know what to do about getting separate bodies for you and V, Shira. So, for now, we mount up. Like this." Kalck had gotten down for him, and the other bats had moved next to Shira and Shiro and had also gotten down. He swung his leg over Kalck's head and sat with his legs just in front of the wings. "We're ready when you are."

Shira nodded as Shiro asked if she was ok, "Yes..." she said still holding her hand to her chest. "I'm fine..." It was then after that, three large bats appeared, landing right in front of the trio. The dark persona grabbed Hibiki's handle; but found it uneccesary as Noma said, "Kalck?" It seemed that Noma actually knew these...creatures...and letting go of the scythe relaxed slightly. She then listened to Noma's plan as ge got on the back of the bat he was talking to, and looking at the bat that came to her side, swung her leg over it's head to get on. During as the blonde haired man did, and sat with her legs just in front of the creatures wings. "I'm ready..." she said, looking at Saxen with her cold ice-like eye. She the turned his head towards Shiro, and letting out a short sigh asked. "Ready? Cause we don't have all day..."
