In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Courage: Shouts: Being an experienced hunter, Kerokiyish has learned how to use the power of his crystal to channel his courage into several buffs that can be activated during battle. With time, he has also managed to find a way of transmitting such emotions to those around him, becoming what people usually call a "support" battler. The effect of these shouts, of course, depends on the number of party members present in the fight. (Three or less people get a moderate bonus; four or more people would just get a minor bonus. Also, if Kero is fighting alone, the normal shout effects are doubled).
"Stand Your Ground!": Awakening the party's inner concentration, this ability aids the party in blocking and avoiding physical attacks. (Lasts for two posts, there's a three post cooldown after the effect ends)
"Shields Up!": Similar to "Stand Your Ground!", this shout allows nearby allies to block and deflect ranged attacks with ease. NOTE: This ability only aids allies wielding a shield or any other kind of defensive weapon. (Lasts for two posts, there's a three post cooldown after the effect ends)
"Finish Them Off!": The objective of this buff is to activate the party's determination, allowing them to hit the enemy with a higher accuracy and deliver stronger blows. (Lasts for three posts, there's a four post cooldown after the effect ends)
"Make Haste!": Pumping adrenaline into the party's veins, this shout increases nearby allies' speed. (Lasts for one post, there's a two post cooldown)
"The Power is Ours!": This skill recovers some of the party's mana, allowing them to cast more spells or manipulate the elements for longer. NOTE: This shout only applies to Sages or similar characters. (Five post cooldown)
"For Atlantis!": This shout simply increases the party's morale, boosting each ally's main technique. (Lasts for four posts, there's a ten post cooldown)
"You Are All Weaklings!": This is the only one of Kero's shouts that affects enemy forces, shattering their morale and will to fight. NOTE: Instead of depending on the number of party members, the effect of this ability relies on the number of hostile characters. (Lasts for four posts, there's a ten post cooldown)
[/blockquote] [/li][li]Weapon Proficiency: Spear: Though able to fight with sword and bows, Kerokiyish's strength lies in combat with spears. His weapon of choice, Tonenlitak, is often used to deliver direct physical damage, be it by stabbing or just plain smacking, but it is not uncommon to have Kero hurl it at his foes.
[/li][li]Animal Companion: Deliknish: It's been a while since the day Nish was taken under the hunter's wing, several years before Mebelmok. The lava dog has developed a special kind of bond with Kero, one going beyond mere companionship. She isn't just a pet; Nish is a valuable friend, both in and out of combat. The lava dog is able to resist high temperatures, being able to travel through Tlachinolli with ease. Her body is strong and hard, providing her with a boost in endurance and making her able to deliver powerful tackles and deadly body slams. Nish's long tongue can also be used as a weapon at times, but it's very easy to take damage if it's exposed to direct damage. Also, her speed isn't actually that great and hydromancers can practically wipe the floor with her.
[/li][li]Crystal Necklace: Self Heal: Kerokiyish has received basic training in harnessing the energy of his own crystal for minor healing. This technique is slightly weaker than a Cure spell, and Kero can only use it on himself. [/li][/ul]
Personality: Even though he's been around for more than a couple millennia, Kero still keeps a young and lively spirit. He is among the first to volunteer to join scouting parties or rescue missions, showing great interest in satisfying his nation's needs. However, his heart will always belong to the Kuwanlelenta, the wilderness surrounding the City of Atlantis and the place where he was born. The bond he shares with the forest has given him certain qualities that define his personality, such as respect for all Atlantean forms of life and, of course, serenity to meditate and seek guidance from his ancestors.
Ayutsin's main quality, however, is his courage. The hunter is known for his ability to stand for what's right in tight situations, including several that have put his value and "loyalty" to the Royal Family in question. Even then, Kero has managed to prove his worth to his nation, and has stated multiple times that his loyalty ONLY belongs to the people and the world itself. Because of this, Kero is sometimes seen as a clever and capable leader.
This courage and determination, however, sometimes turns into stubbornness, blurring the hunter's criterion. He is known for putting his ideals and beliefs before his duty, leading him to have doubted the king's judgement even when his orders were actually intended to benefit the people. Arrogance can also show up as a weakness, especially when others attempt to persuade him not to act. Kero simply proceeds to overestimate his own abilities and, even though he has managed to free himself from those tight situations, it may cost him his own life in the future.
Appearance: Kerokiyish isn't that different from other Atlanteans, at least appearance-wise. He has the body of a man in his late-twenties, considerably toned but not bulky by any means. His skin, like the rest of his brethren's, is a dark chocolate tone, mirroring a pair of bright brown eyes. His snow white hair falls down his neck, stopping just before reaching his back; it's not too long, but not too short either. A pair of bright blue tribal marks can be seen under his eyes, and another one is located just above his right eyebrow.
Kero's wardrobe isn't spectacular either. He simply wears an indigo cloth around his waist, a silver piece of armor covering his right arm and another one covering his left leg, and the trademark crystal necklace hung around his neck.
History Synopsis: Kerokiyish Ayutsin was born before the time of the Mebelmok in the Kuwanlelenta, the forest surrounding Atlantis. It is believed that he bonded with the wilderness since birth and that it "chose" and "marked" him to become a Ranger that day. As he grew up, Kero began to show skill with the spear, and his father, a City Guard, started to train him in combat in hopes that he would follow his footsteps.
However, even though he deeply admired his father's profession, the young boy knew that his true vocation was to become a ranger. His curiosity led him to sneak out during nighttime, secretly exploring the wilderness and gaining experience and valuable skills in the process. It was during these small excursions that Kero met Deliknish, a young lava dog with whom he'd bond and later take as his animal companion. As months went by, Kero's parents began to suspect his little adventures, eventually deciding to "tighten the security" around the household. However, the young man still managed to elude detection thanks to the abilities he had picked up in his previous trips.
Once he hit puberty, Kero found himself forced to choose his future profession. His father was sure that his son would become a City Guard, and was practically boasting all around the city about it. However, even though he knew it would damage their relationship, Ayutsin decided to disappoint his father and follow his own heart, beginning his official training at the age of thirteen.
Then, The Great Flood came.
Kero's father was among those lost in the disaster, and the young boy was struck by guilt during several months. Eventually he got over it and decided to make his father proud, deciding to use his skills to help Atlantis. And thus, the young hunter began working his way up the food chain, eventually becoming one of the most respected rangers in the city.

>> you know...they weren't to be so loong *coughs*overachiever*coughs*.
D: Well "lava dogs" aren't in the wildlife/heartless compendium in atlantis, but since we have wolves (sourced to some FFXII wolfy creatures), I guess there's no stopping in adding this as well closest thing to any lava pooch >> and we can blame D: evolution of living near the volcanooooes.
The lava dogs he's referring to are actually in the Atlantis movies. ('Obby' from Milo's Return. xD) I'll add them and a few others to the compendium, since we have more sources for the wildlife now.
Spear wielding: Lelo is highly skilled with a spear or small knife, which she keeps tucked away in a belt on her skirt if her spear is out of reach. Very agile due to her size, she makes quick, precise attacks and can knock a full grown man off his feet.
Animal Call: Lelo makes a call to her guard wolf, Bolak'ti if she needs help dealing with a predator, and he comes swiftly to her aid, biting and clawing at her foe and creating an opening. He also helps her herd the animals
Stealth: Due to her occupation, Lelo needs to be stealthy and swift on her feet, if she wants to sneak up on an opposing party or scare away a predator that does not know of her presence. She also needs this skill when hunting for food.
Personality: Lelo, though kind, has a slightly rambuctious personality, all for a strategic battle plan or a stealth mission to infiltrate hideouts. Since she doesn't get to do that very much, however, so she substitutes with her brother's fort near their house and she has mock battles with invisable foes. She is very encouraging, and refuses to let her comrades give up if there is even the slighted bit of hope. If no one is willing to continue on, she's perfectly fine with going by herself, though she keeps her feelings of loneliness and fear hidden. Though she doesn't always show it, Lelo is a very intelligent girl with a quick wit and an even quicker tounge, capable of adult conversation and telling off anyone who has recently annoyed her. She preferes to have many friends that she can have fun and run around with. Her laughter is contagious, and when she isn't smiling she usually has a look of fiery determination in her eyes, thinking about some unknown plan she wishes to put in motion.
Appearance: Lelo stands at approx. 5'4" with long silver hair and mocha skin, like other Atlantians. She has bangs that hang down unevenly in her face, and her hair is usually kept in a high ponytail that goes down to the small of her back. She has several turquois tattoos going down her arms and a few on her cheeks, while she wears standard Atlantian clothes. The top goes to the end of her ribcage and stoppes, revealing her stomach. She wears a skirt made of drapping turquois fabric that goes to about 4 inches above her knees and stops, with the ends of the fabric trailing towards the ground. She carries a spear strapped to her back to ward off predators from the Abysteel in her charge, as well as to hunt and fight intruders. She has a standard crystal necklace as other Atlantians posses. She doesn't usually wear shoes but has a pair of loose thong sandles that she can tie on quickly if the need arises. She has several beads in her hair in varying shades of blue, green, and purple. Her eyes are a clear blueish green.
History Synopsis: Lelo has lived a fairly standard life as most Atlantians go. Her father was a fisherman and her mother an animal keeper. Her brother, a few years older than her, is in training to be a royal guard when he comes of age, but mostly hangs out with his friends in their makeshift fort near Lelo's home. As she grew she was noticeably more outgoing than the other girls of the city, having more guy friends than girls. She has always been concidered a bit of a tomboy, and she has been working with animals and spears from a very young age. When she was given her first group of animals to watch over and care for, she was thrilled, and immediatly set out to see them. A short time later, as she was watching over the Wemot flock in her care, a panther came upon them. One of the birds members spotted it and sounded an alarm, and Lelo immediately sprang into action, urging the flock behind her, while she faced off with the panther. Charging at her, the beast came in full force, intending to simply charge down the girl and make for the flock. But Lelo stood her ground, and with a fierce cry of her own, she leaped at the panther, spear raise for the kill. After a fierce scuffle, the panther ran off, too injured to continue its pursuit of the birds. Lelo was injured with several cuts and bruises, but other near by herdsmen and women had heard her yells and had come to help. They helped her back home and took over watch of her flock of Wemot until she was healed. She reportedly laughed at the whole event, saying it was nothing she couldn't handle, and she couldn't wait to get back out. In case of this happening again, however, her father insisted she raise and train another animal to help her fend off other attackers. She raised a wolf pup, named Bolak'ti (nicknamed Bo), to be her companion, and the two have been inseperable ever since. Now, she is a well seasoned herdswoman and hunter, very adept at dealing with larger predators, skilled with a spear, and good with animals.

You guys have a list of wildlife for atlantis? Man i need that. my character's thing is really vague because I couldn't find a list of atlantian animals on the internet.
Note that I need to update it. xD I'll get on that later today, so if you look at it tomorrow you should be fine.
Look fine, Haruka. And Chris, I forgot to mention, but Atlantean markings are blue, not silver.
Like Ellie said, though, this is a mini-profile. While it's grand and all to have lengthiness and character depth, please keep in mind all these profiles still have to be read. xD -coughShunnycough- Feel free to go all out if you apply for your charrie to be permanent.

Double-posting, but this is important. I just noticed some profiles are off in the same aspect.
Guys. There is a reason why I left out age on the form. The Atlantean crystal extends life, though it is unknown by how much. I need to ask everyone who included age to remove it, or say 'appears to be _'
Right now I think this applies to Chris and Haruka.
