In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

(( Prepare your gummi ships, folks. We're predicting mild to severe turbulence ahead.
The next stage of the Atlantis expedition will take place in this thread. For those who have not already, it is highly suggested that you construct your gummi ship, or have your character sort out a gummipool with someone who can pilot. This upcoming battle is aerial.
All character-piloted gummis will be directed by the Atlantis canons, all of which will be staying aboard the motherships but will contact everyone via radio. Various strategies and formations can be carried out via their orders. A few crew members (NPC crash survivors) may fly out with small gummis to fetch wounded - if any - and bring them back aboard.
Characters from all three ships can post. If you'd like to mitigate confusion, try heading each post with a "Location: RG mothership" or "Location: Personal gummi ship", ect. Most crew members should be aboard the smaller gummi ships. However, if you absolutely must sit this battle out, it can be assumed that your character is manning the mothership cannons or doing something else useful.
The battle taking place in this thread is a practice for aerial battles to come. That being said, let's try to keep things moving here. If our warm-up takes weeks to wrap up then we're in trouble for the more dramatic skirmishes in the future.
On a last note - yes, we're fighting in the air, but keep general battle mechanics in mind. (Avoid god-moding gummiships. Give any opponents a chance to evade. Take other characters' actions into account. Ect.)
If all goes well, things should run smoothly. Have fun. ;] ))

Audrey stared at the screen before her, carefully reading the next stage of instructions carried within Rourke's message. She was simply amazed; while she knew how to build machines and use them efficiently, the girl wouldn't have imagined that so many strategies and formations existed. But anyway, she would have to memorize every single one of them and after all it was never late to learn something new.
She glanced around, catching a glimpse of the big, tall Joshua Sweet. The young mechanic couldn't help but to let a soft chuckle escape her lips as he watched him going all crazy about health and possible diseases picked up in Twilight Town. He was certainly a big worrywart but she couldn't see how he was able to keep that big, white pearl smile across his face. It was almost as if he didn't really care about anything at all, but at the same time he did. Audrey shook her head, looking away as she smiled; their doctor was sure a complex man.
The latina began to read the updated list of crew members and passengers, which she would have to update as soon as possible. Sighing with relief, she silently thanked Sweet's insistence to have a crew census back at Twilight Town. But now the obvious question began to surface among her thoughts; where should she begin? Should she go ahead and add the new recruits or should she report the deceased members first...
"Ramirez..."
Audrey snorted, rolling her eyes at the communicator's voice. Grandma would have to wait for a while; couldn't she see that the girl was busy? Hmm... yeah, she would probably start by reporting those that had been lost in the crash. Olive digits quickly tapped the keyboard before her, spelling the same word over and over: "DECEASED".
"Ramirez... Ramirez..."
Her eyes quickly raced across the screen, slightly narrowing as she made sure she had taken out everyone that didn't travel with them anymore. Good, now she could proceed and the new recruits' information, which was the longest and most tiresome part of it. The mechanic looked away for a moment, gathering the census papers before proceeding to type once again: "Nyra Rei Kaze... 17 Years Old..."
"Ramirez..."
"Do you need anything, Packard?" The latina blinked, offering the intercom's microphone a look full of annoyance. She didn't want to take too long regarding updating the list; the last thing she wanted right now was to piss their Commander off and have her ass launched out of the ship.
"Ramirez, I think all of you will want to hear this."
Mrs. Packard went ahead and linked them the other two ships before speaking once again. Seriously, they didn't pay her enough to be completely ignored by a pissed latina in her period. "Commander, look what I caught."
A terrible battle cry rang through the Ulysses fleet, its source clearly not being a hume. It was rather low-pitched, frightening... it seemed to be an embodiment of horror. Ramirez quickly covered her ears, the intensity of the sound being quite uncomfortable to her. Fortunately, however, it was gone now; but still, just in case...
"Alright people, I want some patrolling ships out there and I want them n-"
The collision was more painful than what she would have imagined. She groaned, falling hard to the ground as the ship was sent a few miles away. Audrey looked outside the window, widening her eyes in shock upon seeing it; oh god, they were screwed.
"Everyone! Get your asses out there and bring me that monster's head!"
((Apologies Shark, I had to delete your placeholder. We already had planned a sequence of events to properly introduce you people to the next boss. After Zepho and Ellie/IUMA post feel free to do so yourself))
Nyra laughed at Ravian's question, and had already formulated an answer in her mind - that things were going alright, although she'd bet a Large Body would still be able to put her to shame - when she felt a lurch.
She was thrown forward slightly and her laughter cut off immediately. Balance quickly restored, Nyra turned to the windows. Something wasn't right. What could possibly snag the ships in the middle of space? Evidently, the skies were more turbulent than she had originally thought.
"Guys. . ." she said slowly. Initially she had thought the tilt had been too weak to apply to their own ship, and she was proven right. A great, horrible darkness, even deeper than the space itself, was advancing on the Twilight Town mothership. The one she, Iggy, and Jacob had just left. If she had thought the jolting air currents they'd felt in the aftermath were bad. . .
"Shit."
With that Nyra spun around and glanced about for authority. It took her a moment to realize she had no idea who she was looking for. This ship was foreign to her, the people aboard it all strangers.
Nocturne was drawn. A fat lot of help it would be. How did you fight a monster in space? It was as hopeless as if it were flying.
Then fly as well.
The gummi ships. Twilight Town's cargo had been full of them. Surely this world had been given the same order to have them stocked. . .
A low, terrible roar ripped through the Ulysses fleet.
(( Sorry for leaving you hanging, Iggy, Ravian, and Sumdood, I was waiting for this. Can Nyra tag along on Ravian's gummi, since she's not on the Twilight ship anymore? If Iggy/Jacob have a gummi on that mothership they should probably take the transport pods back on board ASAP. ))

Helga was about near finished with her paper work. Her eyes glanced outside the glass-like domes windows to see the other ships in formation. Hopefully Rourke got the message, since his reception was darn right horrible. Holding up the paper, she tapped it against her desk to get them neat and tidey. A low roar threw her off her game causing her fingers to nearly crinkle her paperwork. With an arched brow she grabbed the radio.
"Ramirez, do you hear the over?" She didn't hear anything, but silence. She stood only to look at the ship Ramirez governed summoning her to pick up the blasted radio until she saw a blackish figure impact the spacecraft and zip away. It only took a second for a panic voice to call her via radio.
"C-c-captian Sinclair there was an unknown hit on the Twilight Motherboard. Repeat there was an attack on the Twilight Motherboard."
Helga was already up and running at the first sentence pushing past anyone in her way before going to the control center. Her blonde braid whipped behind her as she dashed and jumped down the stairs, "Do you have target spotted?"
"Y-y-y-yes ma'am, and it's n-nothing I've seen before," his voice went on mute ears as only one word left Helga's lift.
"....damn," with swift movement, she grabbed a nearby radio to the intercom system, "All crew commendable to take flight the gummiships report to the garage hangar immediately for take off. We have a code red. Repeat a code red. Access your gummicrafts immediately for further instructions in 1 minute."
Oh yes she was going to have them run like a bat out of hell. Once she deemed enough time, she repeated a description of offender and demanded termination.
"Status report!" Rourke yelled loud as he made his way to the sensory command to have a look at the situation outside himself. With squinted eyes he glared at the screens taking in the information. Explanations from the other stations were shouted at him. While analyzing the monitors, Rourke also processed the information he heard at the same time. Quickly formulating the best course of actions.
An large unknown entity had struck the Twilight Town Mothership. A hastily but correct response is needed to avoid another Ulysses disaster. Rourke was fired up and determent. Swearing to himself that he was not going to lose another ship, not this time.
"Raise the alarm, alert fase red. Helmsmen, bring us up alongside the Twilight Town ship so we can provide cover against that thing. Radar, keep following that thing. I want an identification as soon as possible. If it as much as sneezes I want to be informed understood? Give me the radio, all frequencies and channels." Rourke barked his order as he made his way to his command station. He grabbed the radio and started to broadcast his commands through the intercom. Coördinating the defense against the unknown attacker.
Intercom broadcast inside RG Mothership
"Attention, this is commander Rourke. Code red, the fleet is currently under attack. I repeat, code red, the fleet is currently under attack. I want all available pilots report to the hangar bay for immediate launch. All other personal man the battle stations. To all new recruits, follow the instructions given by our senior officers. Follow my lead and we will bring this thing down together. Rourke out."
Rourke then flipped some switches on the radio as he changed the channels. Dialing it in on the frequency to communicate with the other motherships. Meanwhile the RG Mothership let it's engines roar loud as the ship started to sway over to the Twilight Town Mothership.
Radio Broadcast to all Motherships
"Traverse Town, this is Radiant Garden. Lieutenant, we are moving to a defensive formation from where we can cover the Twilight Town Mothership. We are launching all our gummi ships. Can you maneuver to flank the bogey? Over. This is the Radiant Garden calling out to the Twilight Town. Ramirez can you hear me? Have you sustained damage? Report in, over."

[Ah.... Long post is long.... But I haven't replied to the Atlantis Threads yet, so I might as well make my debut.]
Jebidiah "Cookie" Farnsworth
"The unusual Chef"
[LOCATION: Radiant Garden Ship]
Cookie walked around the strange new ship. It certainly didn't feel like the right place to be, but so long as he had all his cooking utensils, he was ready and raring to go. Quickly grabbing a large pot, filling it with water, putting it on the stove, and turning on the heat, he started grabbing every little thing he could get his hands on, even throwing things into the pot of hot water that no one could even dream of. All the while, he was humming a little country song, not paying attention to the sirens and blarings going on around him.
Suddenly, they started to get to him and Cookie had enough. He left the galley, the pot still on, and went up to the bridge, a ladle held in his hand. "Commander! Can we turn these blasted siren things off? They interrupted my cookin'!" He said, blissfully unaware of the fact that they were alerts telling people to get to stations. Cookie just cared about getting some food on for the people aboard this ship, again... Blissfully unaware of the fact that no one cared to even touch his cooking let alone eat it. He just continued to stand there, arms crossed, awaiting a response from the commander. This in itself caused several soldiers to have to run around him to avoid knocking the chef over. Man, this day was getting better and better....
Arlan Ashteran
"The lucky Swordsman"
[LOCATION: Radiant Garden Ship]
Arlan, mainly having kept to his room this entire time, was spent thinking long and hard about what was said by the Commander to him back on Radiant Garden. Sure this was his ship, but Arlan had to have known more about the heartless and what to do then he did. And for all Arlan knew, his little stunt from before just made things so much worse. But there was little he could do about it now. He looked to Tilanis who laid beside him as he waited for something to happen. Little did he know, he was about to get his wish...
Suddenly alarms went off and the Commander's voice could be heard. Arlan quickly shot up and started to run into the hallways. He wasn't sure where to go, but he remembered that maybe... just maybe, Rose and Halen would have a ship of their own. Arlan hoped to possibly go with them and help combat this creature. And so he ran forward and made his way to the hanger, hoping to catch a glimpse of Rose along the way. Things were starting to get serious, and Arlan's face plastered a mischievous smile as he prepared himself for battle.
Bolt
"The loyal Superdog"
[LOCATION: Twilight Town Ship]
Bolt laid his head down on the Bridge of the Twilight Town ship. He was trying to stick with either Audrey or Dr. Sweet, but all this going on, and without Penny no less, was starting to get to the dog. He found a small area that was out of the way of anyone that might have to move about, and anyone that had to go that way was courteous enough to step around the dog and be mindful of him. It was shown that he was trying to stay out of the way. But suddenly, just as he was about to fully fall asleep, Bolt was quickly jolted awake as he felt massive shaking amongst the ship. Something had hit them and hit them hard.
Bolt quickly jumped up and ran over to Audrey who had just fallen over and looked out the window. To most dogs, they wouldn't know what she was looking at, but Bolt wasn't most dogs. He looked at the beast outside the window as well and knew they were in trouble. Bolt barked twice and nudged at Audrey as if telling her to get up and tell him if there was something he could do. Sure there wasn't much that a superdog could do in space, but he had to show that he was willing to help in any way possible. He just hoped that everything would be okay and that they could, as a team, defeat this beast.
Jason Arilani
"The wandering Nobody"
[LOCATION: Traverse Town Ship]
Jason wandered about the ship, the last few hours running through his mind as he did so. So many things had happened that he had a hard time recollecting them all, but he knew that every bit of information and every ounce of happenings was going to be important at some point in time. As such, Jason walked the ship, thinking about everything that was occurring. But his train of thought was broken by the alarms sounding and the directions from the Lieutenant. "Binet...." He said, cursing in his past language as he ran straight for the bridge.
Jason may have had a gummi ship, but it was not aboard this vessel at the moment. It was back in Radiant Garden as Jason didn't have much use for it at the moment. As such, he decided to go up to the bridge and help out in any way possible. Surely there was something for the nobody to do on a ship such as this. Words flashed through his head as he slowly started thinking of strategies to defeat the giant beast. Clearly fighting in space couldn't help too much. As such, it was a time to step forward and see what could truly happen.
As Jason arrived at the bridge, he looked to Lieutenant Sinclair and said "Where might you need someone such as myself?" Obviously showing respect as he bowed his head before the Lieutenant when he arrived, and waiting for official direction as to where he might be needed most. Seemed like things were just getting started, and Jason was ready and prepared for such action.
There was the Hero, standing. Waiting patiently to the return of Milo, about some documents or wathever. However, all of a sudden Helga Sinclair came, dashing trough them. Suddenly, messages were send trough the ship. Code Red. Monster attack. Report on hangar. That much was wath caught the Shark's attention.
"Great, time for some fun." He tought, heading for the Gummi Ship hangar. The mothership was a mess, people hurring and screaming and gathering equipments. The Gummi Hangar was pretty crowded, as more and more people came for the battle. The blue hero took position near his ship, the stylish Flying Shark. Then, he shouted.
"HEY! Anyone here that doesn't have a ship, I have 2 seats! And help to operate the cannons would be pretty nice, so, if anyone wants, come aboard!" Probabbly no one would hear the Shark in that much noise and agitation, but he tried anyways. Then, he waited for further instruction. The boy was excited, but a bit frightened, since he never piloted a Gummi Ship. But, well, he had reflexes and perception pretty elevated, maybe they could help. And the Flying Shark also had an strategic device he would use to catch adversaries offguard...
[Maxwell Tendas Location: Cockpit of Spirit of Dryden, flying next to the Traverse Ship]
Max was still in his ship when he watched the big black...thing go flying past and ram into the Twilight Town ship. It knocked the ship slightly off course with the force of its impact. Max gritted his teeth as he increased his throttle and piloting the gummi at intercept speed towards the black beast.
"Screamer, start scanning that thing, figure out just what it is, it's weak spots, everything. Also, tune into the broadcast frequencies from the ships. I'm sure they'll be communicating after an attack like that."
As Screamer started scanning, he keyed into the frequencies of the ships, and immediately Max heard them calling "red alerts" and commanding everyon to get to their gummi ships. Max picked up the transmitter in his ship and spoke over the frequency to the leaders of the various ships.
broadcast to all the ulysses fleet ships
"Atlantis expedition fleet, this is Maxwell Tendas. I'm with the Traverse Group. I just saw the attack. This thing is massive. I'm going to try to distract it and draw it away until the others can get airborne."
Without waiting for an answer, Max replaced the transmitter and pushed the throttle to full, heading straight for the thing. As he got closer, he fired a short burst from his ship's cannons, the magical projectiles slammed into it. They weren't weak cannons, that was for sure.
Max steered the ship slowly away from the thing and made a wide turn to face it once on the other side. He fired another shot from the one cannon on his ship's nose, which he aimed at its face to really get it's attention. As the shot arced through space, though, he caught sight of the creatures eyes. Recognition shot through him as he realized just what this thing must be.....
[Lumaria Location: Radiant Garden ship]
Lumaria heard the sirens going off, and the Commander's orders over the intercom. He silently cursed to himself as he looked out the window with Nyra. Sure enough, he looked out, and there was a giant beast. He knew what it was, but he didn't say a word. He needed to keep a shroud of seeming ignorance about himself regarding those types of things, if only for the sake of his disguise.
"I need to get back to the Twilight Ship," He said, to the others,"Iggy, come with me. They'll need you on one of the turrets."
Without even waiting for a response, he took off running down the halls towards the small shuttle ships. He got inside one of the little ships and launched it off, steering it towards the ship that had just been hit by the giant creature. Lumaria kept a close eye on it, in case he needed to do some maneuvering to get the small ship around th ebeast, but luckily it didn't stray into their path. He managed to dock the shuttle on the Twilight Town ship and exited the airlock, heading towards his position on the port-side turrets.
[location:Rg ship]Ravian looked around as the ship shifted unexpectedly. He looked up at the intercom system angrily for a second, werent they supposed to say something like "brace for impact" or "hold on" if the pilot knew they were going to hit something.
But as a roar sounded through the ship he realized that this wasn't just some unexpected turn. He looked at Nyra who seemed lost, kinda like how she had been when the large body had thrown her like a doll back when he had first met her. Funny how things like that always seemed to come back up. He walked up to her, calmly. Well as calmly as anyone could knowing a giant monster large enough to actually affect a ship this big, so not really that calm at all.
He was jittery he was trying his best to keep calm. In truth he was excited, very, very excited and admittedly a bit scared but as always he was much to proud to admit it. "Hey, need a ride? I've gotten a ship since we met...well more like in the last week or two but you get the idea, if you want on we should probably get going." He could use a co pilot, he wasn't the best pilot...though by his opinion he was improving quickly.
As he bet Nyra had, she had seemed competent even though she had just had her world taken away, not to mention she hadn't had the amount of experience he had. Though he didn't know anything about her home world. She had said she could take care of herself, so she apparently had some sort of fighting experience. "You know how to shoot or drive?"

The first impact knocked Iggy on his ass. "What the hell--" His voice was cut off by a second impact that had him sprawled on the floor. Battle instincts took over and he pushed himself up off the floor. He unsheathed his sword ready for a fight. But being just a tad bit clumsy he didn't realize the hit came from outside the ship. Outside, where he there's no air.
Sirens, bells, alarms, and voices started ringing through the ships. Strangers were trying to get by to man stations. Board gummi ships. They've obviously been attacked before Iggy thought to himself.
"I need to get back to the Twilight Ship," He said, to the others,"Iggy, come with me. They'll need you on one of the turrets."
Iggy didn't have time to say goodbye or anything to anyone. He just shot a helpless glance at Nyra hoping this wasn't the last time they saw eachother.
Turning on his heels Iggy gave chase after Jacob. He almost missed the transfer pod to the other ship. They shot through space with ease. It was almost too easy. The thought didn't settle too well with him.
[Location - Twilight Town Ship]
When the ship docked Iggy split from Jacob with a few words. "Hey! I'm gonna go help out on the starboard side! Let's rain hell upon this bastard!"
Pushing through a crowd of people he entered the room where most of the turrets were. He spotted an empty one and yelled, "DIBS!
Taking his seat Iggy was ready for a little action.
[Location= RG Ship Hangar Bay] "Well, frig! Halen, now!" A dark corridor openned at her feet, and engulfed her quickly. Rose vanished, and immediately reappeared in the Hangar bay next to her ship. She pressed a few keys on her computer, and the buuble cockpit openned. She climbed in, and began running through a preflight checklist. She had never flown for real before, so this was gonna be a little hairy, but she did have practice on those old video games systems, like the Xbox 720. In fact, she was using a 720 controller to fly with. She hadn't played in a while but... "Should be just like Halo." She slipped her headset on, and switched to the command channel, so she could listen for orders. then she leaned out of the cockpit, and looked around for a copilot. She spotted someone. "Hey, you! get over here, I need a copilot!" (If you don't have a ship, or a seat, and want to participate in the battle, simply be the first to reply to Rose's shout.)
((Try to be as specific as you can with your attacks people. Name exactly what TYPE of weapon you are using; it's easier for me to reply this way versus random guessing XDDD))
Name: Dark Predator Age: Unknown Sex: …Actually an it, but I guess the Dark Predator can be referred to as a he. Species: Emblem Heartless
Appearance: Resembling a scorpion, this Heartless can be quite terrifying for those lacking courage. He also shows traits belonging to a common spider as well, mainly their long legs and a bunch of eyes on their faces. The Dark Predator’s legs, however, are quite large and strong, black covering all of them except for their pointy red ends. Deadly dark claws are held by what seem to be a pair of fully-loaded arms, scarlet ends ready to shove, poke, slash or anything else you can think of.
The Heartless’s face is quite intimidating as he tends to show off his gigantic collection of crimson teeth while looking at his prey with two sets of eyes. The common emblem of the Heartless is located at his forehead, making it easy to understand what he is. A considerable amount of red spikes cover the Dark Predator’s back as well as the side of its claws and “shoulders” for both offense and defense. And last but not least: a long multiuse tail of black, ready to lash, jab, smack and sting its targets.
Add this with a humongous size and… CONGRATULATIONS! You get a major threat!
Abilities: Certainly aggressive, the Dark Predator is quite a formidable opponent. He won’t hesitate to destroy groups of ships parking around. With a remarkable strength and an endless desire for blood, this alpha male can be deadly on his own but the situation could turn into a slaughter house if his minions are around. While his main weapons are a gigantic pair of claws and a bunch jaws, the Heartless is able to fire a dark laser from it’s long tail. If used against a ship consecutively, the darkness may be able to interfere with the operation of electronics and computers.
The Dark Predator is able to summon several “Gummi Heartless” to aid him in his battles:
Following his recent defeat, the Heartless had been unable to penetrate that world’s defenses and snatch away its big yummy heart. His energy had been wasted in vain; his attacks had barely scratched his opponent… one without a heart. Still, the Dark Predator wouldn’t come back home empty-handed; duty called, as well as the hearts nearby.
He lurked in the shadows, traveling silently toward that source of life he had detected. Sure, it wasn't as good as a whole world's heart but it would be enough for him... at least for now.
It didn’t take much time for him to notice the Ulysses fleet, whose ships had just started to regroup. The Dark Predator swam in that eternal sea of darkness; blindly wandering through unknown territories was quite unwise and those humes were just about to face the consequences.
A pair of bright, yellow eyes watched the vessels standing nearby, soon fixing themselves on the one closest to him. He just couldn't watch anymore; drawn by a bundle of dark instincts within him, the Dark Predator suddenly launched himself against the Twilight Mothership, delivering a strong blow with its claw. There were hearts inside the vehicle: many many many hearts, and he wanted them all.
Just before he could continue his attack against the Twilight Mothership, a much smaller vessel had caught his attention. It roamed around the gigantic Heartless, being quick to fire a couple of Thundara cannons at his back. While they hadn't dealed much damage, the attacks had successfully drawn the Dark Predator's attention away from the bigger ship. The Spirit of Dryden had quickly moved around to face him, successfully hitting a coule of his teeth with the Gravira cannon.
The dark beast was certainly angered now.
A trio of Hunters were summoned behind the Gummi Ship. Their mission? Taking care of the Spirit of Dryden. The Dark Predator swiftly continued its stroll across the fleet, initially planning to continue his attack on the Twilight Mothership. However, there was a bigger source of hearts elsewhere...
Raising his tail, the Heartless approached his new target, aiming his dark laser at the Traverse Mothership.
Alarms were ringing, crew members were purposefully but hurriedly taking their stations at turrets, heading towards the cargo area, shouting out various commands. It was reassuring to see the organization. These people weren't novices.
Nyra was.
Iggy and Jacob were heading back. She turned to follow, but at that moment Ravian interceded her, emanating tense waves of excitement and anxiety. Then he surprised her with an invitation aboard his gummi ship. Nyra nodded solemnly at his proposition. Finally, she would fight. Be useful. But -
"You know how to shoot or drive?"
Nyra looked at him grimly. "I can learn."
And with that she turned and led the way to the cargo hub, wondering if how many gummi ships were left, how many had already flown off to join the battle. Her mind raced with adrenaline and fear.
- -
Space Around Motherships
The fear vanished the moment they launched.
Flight emboldened her. Nyra had known this, but never felt the sudden difference as clearly as she did now. One moment, her chest was constricted with the effort of appearing contained and collected while terror flickered on the edges of her conciousness. The next her breathing had smoothed, her body loosened, the anxiety replaced with a burning confidence in her gut.
Airborne. Technically, the motherships had been flying too. But it felt different when you could feel the speed.
Now she was deep in concentration, eyes narrowed fiercely as they flickered back and forth between the machinery before her. Ravian had pointed out which group of controls manned the weaponry. She only had to figure out which button and steering mechanisms did what - and hope that Ravian had been working on his piloting skills.
"I take it this uses some kind of lightning magic?" Nyra pointed at a cannon with controls emblazoned with a thunderbolt. She grasped the handle and looked through the small viewing window, trying to get a feel for aim on smaller targets. They passed by quicker than she expected.
Nyra held back her grin. The ship was fast.
The darkness in the cockpit suddenly thickened, as if they'd passed under a shadow; the dark offender of the Twilight mothership had come into view. In an instant the air became frigid and tense again. Smile gone as if it had never existed, Nyra murmered under her breath, "Damn."

A small grin spread across Max's face as his shots hit home, even managing to connect with the Heartless' face. He was quit satisfied with himself and his diversion, but his smile quickly faded as alarms went of and a violent shudder went through the Ship.
"What was that?!" Max said, his heart now pounding in his chest. This space combat thing was completely different from waht he was used to. One single mistake, and you were likely to lose your life. That was a concept Max wasn't quite used to after having survived dozens of battle injuries.
"Three smaller enemies have appeared behind us and are now firing at the ship. I am beginning evasive maneuvers," Screamer said, quite suddenly wresting control of the ship from Max and hitting the thrusters hard to get them out of the crossfire. Max grit his teeth. Unlike on the ground, in space he was practically useless. He could barely pilot his own gummi, for Siris' sake.
That was when he got an idea. He quickly unbuckled himself and moved over to the food synthesizer he'd had installed on the ship. He quickly pushed a few buttons and water began pouring out of it at a very alarming rate. As it did, Max took control of it and moved it into the air lock at the other end of the small ship. Once the airlock was full, he shut off the water and closed the inner doors.
"Screamer, get us as close to those things as you can!" Max screamed to the computer as he opened the outer lock. As the water went into the vacuum of space, he formed it into a spiked ball. By the time the temperatures outside froze it, it was the size of a wrecking ball, but with spikes.
"Right away," Screamer responded, brining the ship around at very high speeds, hitting the throttle forward ever further. As they pushed the sound barrier, it became harder and harder for Max to keep control of the water. He had to focus so hard that his entire body shook from the effort.
Finally, they broke the sound barrier, sending a sonic boom through the entire area as they shot towards the Hunter heartless gummis. As they passed, the giant ice wrecking ball in tow hurtled straight for them. If it connected, there was no doubt any of them would be completely and utterly destroyed.....

Lumaria got into the turret facing towards the gigantic Heartless. He didn't know where it had come from, but he couldn't allow it to interfere with his plans, and so he quickly acted, getting into the gunner's seat and putting on the communicator.
"Iggy, can you hear me? It's Jacob," Lumaria "said" over the communicator, not even bothering to mimic actual speak since nobody could see him here,"Take aim at it's face. That seems to be it's weak point."
Lumaria, taking his own advice, took as best the aim as he could at the creatures face and began firing heavy slug rounds from the gauss cannon turret. The heavy slug flew through the air, hurtling straight towards the Dark Predator.....
Saxen had heard the call to everyone to get to a ship or a station, and immediately jumped up from his bed to go to the docking area. As soon as his feet hit the floor, however, his cells began to go through another round of changes. This one was painful. He dropped to the floor and started screaming in pain. All of his nerves were crying out at his brain. After a few minutes, it subsided. He slowly stood up, but there was still pain and he was still shaking a little bit, but he got on to his orders as soon as he could. He started running toward the docking area and got there just in time to hear someone yelling for a co-pilot. He decided that that would likely be the safest course of action for everybody, considering his current condition.
He ran over to the ship and recognized the pilot. It was another one of the mechanics, Rose. In his few experiences with her, she had been just a little rude. Oh well. This wasn't the time to worry about it. He jumped in and looked at the controls. They were video game controllers! He picked one up and asked her, "So, what are the controls, Rose?"
