In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Creel stalked through the town with the woman who had come to find him in his home near the Sandlot. Apparently, some frightening things had just happened, and people no longer felt safe. The woman who had come to find him had offered to pay him very well, just like the last time she'd used his services, but when he heard about the werewolf, he turned it down. This wasn't something he wanted to be paid for.
When they had arrived at the scene were the werewolf had supposedly transformed and moved to attack an innocent bystander. There wasn't a body, no blood, no nothing to indicate there was an attack. That made Creel think the woman's perception of the situation was wrong.
"Are you sure he was going to attack this blonde lady?" He asked the woman with him.
"Yes! He was all teeth and claws and hair, and he growled at her like he wanted to rip her apart," the woman said, nodding her head vehemently at Creel's inquiry,"He must have ran off with that red haired woman. I'll bet she was a were-wolf too!"
"Easy now," Creel said, gesturing for the woman to settle down,"Let's not jump to conclusions. Any idea where they might have went?"
"No," she said, shaking her head,"What if that other woman wasn't one? What if he was holding her hostage? He might-"
"Enough," Creel said gently, putting a hand on the woman's shoulder,"I'll find him and make sure she's okay. Don't worry, all right? Now why don't you go home?"
The woman just nodded and reluctantly turned and walked off, clearly not liking being away from the safety of his company. Creel, however, didn't think there was any danger from this "vicious" werewolf. In light of what he found - or in actuality, didn't find - here told him her memory was exaggerated by fear. It was likely this "werewolf" had never intended harm to anyone.
So, Creel started walking down the street, looking for any sign of the werewolf so he could judge him for himself. He'd gotten a description of him from the woman earlier. A teenage boy walking around with dog ears and a tail should be relatively easy to spot, what with everyone looking at him weird.
As he walked down the street he just happened to look inside of a small, open wall cafe to see a girl with bright red hair standing and talking to a boy with, sure enough, dog ears and a tail. Creel stopped and took in the odd sight, and then took a moment to judge the way everyone else in the cafe was acting. They looked frightened at the odd couple. He gave a small sigh and drew the White Blade from it's sheath on his bacvk, just in case, and marched up to the two at the table. He didn't want to stand there, just in case they really were hostile.
"Well.....a werewolf in Twilight Town," Creel said, resting the tip of Eiroch's blade on the ground and folding his hands over the pommel as he spoke,"Quite a reason for everyone in this little cafe to be frightened, my young furry friend."
At this he leaned forward a little,"now....I just want to know one thing: did you know that half the people in that crowd watching you thought you were going to try and maul them when you transformed? Or did you know that werewolves are typically viewed as bloodthirsty killers and do it anyways for kicks?"

Sol finished his drink and stood up, "Well it seems like it could get pretty lonely. You'd probbably need some muscle to help you out in other worlds, right?" He said with a smile and a wink of his own, he wanted to ask her about the gummi ship, but... he wanted to see this town a little bit more. "Well since the both of us came here, maybe we can look around the town, whadaya say?"
As he was waiting for an for her answer, a man approached the both of them with an unsheathed sword, "Well... a werewolf in Twilight Town," the man pointed his sword downward and rested his arms on the hilt, "Quite a reason for everyone in this little cafe to be frightened, my young furry friend." Sol looked around and noticed people staring at them, well it was an odd and frightening scene, "now... I just want to know one thing: did you know that half the people in that crowd watching you thought you were going to try and maul them when you transformed? Or did you know that werewolves are typically viewed as bloodthirsty killers and do it anyway for kicks?"
Sol gave a small sigh, first it was that Relena woman and now this man who seemed to take Sol as a threat to the people, "Well... I'm not like most werewolves, yes I have killed before but that was only because it meant I would survive," and he was preparing his mind for a possible fight if needed, "So... mind if I know the name of the person who might be another victim." Sol simply smirked as he waited for any kind of response.

Ariana smiled and lightly turned without looking, bumping straight into a man. "Oomph." she grunted, before she began to apologize. Then she noticed the man had a sword out, the tip grazing the ground. "Well... a werewolf in Twilight Town...Quite a reason for everyone in this little cafe to be frightened, my young furry friend. Now... I just want to know one thing: did you know that half the people in that crowd watching you thought you were going to try and maul them when you transformed? Or did you know that werewolves are typically viewed as bloodthirsty killers and do it anyway for kicks?"
Ariana raised an eyebrow, was he going to start hacking at them? Must resist urge to slam all nearby civilians with wind magic. Mum would not approve. Placing her hand on her hips, Sol responded neatly, and she added in a cold voice, "Typically viewed as bloodthirsty killers? Sounds like fantastic racism to me." She eyed his sword. "Neither of us are going to attack anyone unless we get attacked. That includes Heartless, and you. So put that away before you spear someone on it." She looked at the blade again. It was....fancy, with jewels encrusted along a golden handle. The main thing that captured Ariana's attention was how white and clean the blade was though. "What material could that be made of?" she thought.

"Well... I'm not like most werewolves, yes I have killed before but that was only because it meant I would survive. So... mind if I know the name of the person who might be another victim," the boy said with a cocky grin obviously born out of naivete. Creel merely raised an eyebrow at him as he straightened. He took in a deep breath and then let out a rather loud and exaggerated sigh. At the same time, he called forth the magic in Eiroch, the blade turning to bring flames that left a black mark where the tip of the blade rested.
"You would do well to pick who you threatened better, boy," Creel said, obvious displeasure in his voice,"This sword wasn't just given to me. I had to earn the right to wield it through things you probably couldn't imagine."
As he finished speaking, Creel extinguished the flames of Eiroch's blade. He then resheathed the sword across his back, briefly adjusting the strap that held it in place across his chest. He then looked between the two and gave them a small friendly smile.
"Besides, I know you're not hostile. If you were, I would have seen bodies and blood back there where there was none. I mean you no harm. My name is Creel," he said, extending his hand out to the boy and then the girl in turn,"I'm a knight, though I guess these. Days I'm more like a mercenary. I help protect Twilight Town from the Heartless, and in turn they give me money and a place to stay.
"Just....do me a favor and try to be less conspicuous next time? I'm sure you know how people can react to what they don't understand."

Sol was a little spooked by the fireworks the man's sword displayed,"You would do well to pick who you threatened better, boy, this sword wasn't just given to me. I had to earn the right to wield it through things you probably couldn't imagine." though he turned it off and put his sword away and smiled at both Sol and Ariana, "Besides, I know you're not hostile. If you were, I would have seen bodies and blood back there where there was none. I mean you no harm. My name is Creel," he offered his hand towards them, "'I'm a knight, though I guess these. Days I'm more like a mercenary. I help protect Twilight Town from the Heartless, and in turn they give me money and a place to stay. Just....do me a favor and try to be less conspicuous next time? I'm sure you know how people can react to what they don't understand."
Sol was a bit skecthy about this man but he figured he couldn't be all bad if he was being nice all of a sudden, he took the man's hand and shook it, "Oh well you don't have to worry much, I actually just got here after my world was taken," depression built up a little in his stomach, "My name is Sol, Sol Callaway, and it's nice to meet another person who dosen't freak out cause of me, even though you pull a sword on us." he finished with a small laugh and finished shaking Creel's hand, at least he was a nice guy as it turned out.
Her eyes still on the white blade, the blade suddenly emanated flames, blasting the ground beneath it black, causing Ariana to flinch. "Does it work like Grace?" she wondered. "Unimaginable things. One would wonder..." she thought with a snort. Her eyes now on the man, he gave a ....not so friendly warning, suddenly sheathed his blade, and friendlily held out his hand to both Sol and Ariana.
His sudden change of attitude was rather unnerving. It was, however, somewhat reassuring since he probably wasn't going to start slicing at them. Shaking his hand after Sol, she dropped her cool voice, but still retained somewhat formality. "My name is Ariana, and I arrived here from the town - Radiant Garden." she said. She eyed the man for a while, and continued, "Heartless assault this town as well? It seems calm most of the time.."
"The sword was merely a precaution, just in case my hunch was wrong and you really were of the bloodthirsty variety," Creel said, shrugging at Sol's words,"I was trelatively sure you weren't dangerous, but until I spoke with you, I wasn't completely sure.
"As for the Heartless....they're not quite so bad here. It's just enough to make normal people worry, just the ones who can't defend themselves. So, they hired an outsider who's dealt with them before to protect them. I typically don't fight anything bigger than the little ones with the antennas.
"That, however, leads me to my next question," he said, turning his attention back to Sol,"Why were you threatening that blonde woman?"
Post by lunardevian on May 12, 2011 23:50:59 GMT -4
So Creel knew about Sol trying to threaten that blonde woman Relena, "Oh that, well, um... " he scratched the back of his head with an embarassed look on his face, "Now I know this might sound a bit crazy but, I thought she might be connected to the Heartless because a few attacked me and Ariana a while ago and I saw her on some rooftops. After we got rid of the little freaks I saw her in the crowd and she smelled of darkness, a bit too much of the stuff."
Sol stuffed his hands into his pockets to hid they fists he was making inside them, trying to hold down some anger, "I just thought she might be connected with the Heartless, I don't why though, maybe I was just angry for what they did to my home." Sol just sat back down in a chair, "I'm sorry for anything else, just trying figure out what to do next for myself."
"So Shadows wander this town..." Ariana thought. She looked at Sol. "So he..smelled her. How...kinky?" She lightly massaged her forehead. "Not exactly much threatening, and more of a interrogation though." she said. She couldn't help but look at the red-orange streaked skies again. "The Heartless appear in random areas? Do you know anything else about them..? she said quietly. She turned to Creel. "You're the only one who defends this town?" she asked curiously. If she recalled correctly, Radiant Garden had a disk that would aid her - there didn't seem to be any here though.
"They don't show up very often, and not in great numbers. Usually only about a half-dozen shadows, never much more than that. It's definitely not difficult to take care of, but the people here would rather someone else dealt with it than deal with it themselves, so they pay me and give me a home for it."
Creel nodded at Sol as he spoke. Given what he already knew about the situation, it certainly made sense now as to what had happened. The only thing that disturbed him was he smelled darkness all over that woman. That meant she must be very dangerous, if she had that much darkness in her heart.
"A woman who smelled of darkness, huh? Blonde, you said?" Creel said, mostly to himself as he brooded over this new information,"I'll have to keep an eye out for her. When there's someone with that much darkness around, bad things tend to happen. Thanks for bringing that up, Sol."

"No problem." Sol was a little bit happy hearing that the Heartless only appear rarely and in small numbers. "It looks that's the only thing I can do without having people freak out about me. Besides right now I could care less about her and care more about finding someplace to sleep since I'm sorta stuck in this town." He let out a small sigh at his perdicament.
"Anyway... what made you become a hero-for-hire Creel?Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a good thing to do, its just that, what reason do you have." Creel did seem like a good man so it made a sense that he would help people with their problems. Sol wondered, could he do something like what Creel did, maybe, the only problem was that the people here saw him as a monster, something he was used to back hom.
Ariana turned from Creel to Sol, watching their conversation with great interest. "But where do the Heartless come from? Surely they must originate from one source..?" she asked Creel. "Also." Ariana added. "If you can't find a suitable place here, you're coming with me to other worlds to see if we can find a place for you." she said firmly to Sol.
She looked at Creel curiously. Wasn't he interested in other things out there? Why restrict himself to this town? "You said they pay you for killing Heartless and all." Ariana said after a small period of silence. "Which means their paying you to kill us, no?"
"You said they pay you for killing Heartless and all. Which means their paying you to kill us, no?" Ariana asked with a hint of suspicion in her voice. A small smile spread across Creel's face.
"No, they pay me to protect the town, not to kill anything they want killed. The people here have come to trust my judgment. They'll listen, somewhat at least, if I say you won't hurt them so long as Sol here doesn't try any more of those transforming stunts. You might, however, have a difficult time finding acceptance among the people here. You've frightened them quite a bit.
"And if either of you needs a place to stay for a little bit, you're more than welcome to stay at my home," he said, looking from one to the other,"It's small, nothing much to it, but there's room for three people to sleep, provided nobody has objections to sleeping on couches and such."

Sol watched the small conversation between Creel and Ariana, he smiled when Ariana said he could come along with her. You've frightened them quite a bit."
Sol slightly frowned at this, no transformations, wasn't really easy when he felt so comfortable in wolf form. "Aw crud, guess I should lay off transforming in front of people." "And if either of you needs a place to stay for a little bit, you're more than welcome to stay at my home," Sol figured Creel aimed that question at both him and Ariana, "It's small, nothing much to it, but there's room for three people to sleep, provided nobody has objections to sleeping on couches and such."
Sol stood up and strecthed himself, "Well I guess I could stay here in this town, I kinda want to know what it could offer me, although that dosen't mean I wouldn't like to travel with ya Ariana. Maybe after I'm settled in an spent some time in this town me and you could have an adventure of our own." He gave her a warm smile in case she might be disappointed, he then turned to Creel, "Well Creel, guess you got yourself a roommate." he said as he offered Creel his hand.

Lightly stretching her arms, she turned to Sol. "I don't hop towns so fast, dear. There are still places I haven't looked around yet." she said smiling. She eyed Sol then snorted. "If only you could turn into a puppy." Surely the people wouldn't have a problem with that. "No, they pay me to protect the town, not to kill anything they want killed. The people here have come to trust my judgment." Well that certainly meant Ariana and Sol were safe for now.
She turned to Creel. "Well, I definitely do not fancy the idea of sleeping in the gummy ship the whole time I stay here, but, as long as we're not, *ahem*, intruding." she coughed awkwardly. Then she eyed Sol for a while. "We might have just the thing here...Sol could make this town his place to reside in, and maybe he could help you hunt down Heartless." she said, amused.
