In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Seed could sense the confusion emitting from Leiz. Only a natural reaction when someone sees the world around turn into a world long gone and buried in memories. But at least he had gotten the minimum detail down pat. But he was happy it mystified Leiz.
"Yeah, I think it's rather good for an illusion. Careful on the ocean and stuff. Some land masses may look odd but it should be a hint to what the original island was." Seed still had Leizs hand when he looked down at that and back at Leiz and went a slight shade of red. He turned his head around quickly, letting go of Leiz's hand and looked out at the ocean.
Seed couldn't imagine growing up on such a dismal looking place. Seems like the entire military and this...XMR ruined the whole place, hell. For all Seed knew, they were a bunch of Heartless or Nobodies with higher thinking. The emerald-haired Heartless turned back to Leiz and asked.
"This..XMR group. Notice any symbol like this one them..." Seed undid the top half of his shirt to reveal his Heartless symbol. It looked inked into his broad chest instead of floating there like most Heartless emblems do. Seed then realized he had just basically stripped in front of this guy when he could have easily made an image in the sky and his face reddened some more. He turned away muttering to himself aloud and buttoned up his shirt.
Turning back around he explained, "That's the symbol of the Heartless. People who turn a world into...this must not be normal. Or maybe the snake bore the symbol." he looked over at the city that was at the distance and gave a blissful sigh. This day was turning out to be better and better than he had hoped.
The soldier gave the heartless an awkward look as their hands held one another for a rather lengthy period of time, wondering when Seed would let go. He eventually did, however, turning around to face the ocean.
Leiz listened as the green-haired heartless asked about XMR, hypothesizing that one affiliated with a group of their nature must be a heartless of some kind. He began to unbutton his shirt much to the boy's chagrin, showing off the familiar emblem that all the more "powerful" heartless happened to bear upon some part of their body. Noting Seed's awkwardness as he turned away to button up his shirt, Leiz kept his mind on the topic at hand.
"I don't know what happened that day. I'm not from Garn, but I can tell you that scientists have never seen anything like it. ... I doubt it's the snake."
Leiz folded his arms against the back of his head, letting his emerald hair blow in the breeze as he surveyed the illusion, trying to make some sense of the atrocities that XMR has committed against the environment. "And... all that being said, I don't think the government is necessarily evil, either. We're not some third world. They take care of us. They make sure we're fed. As long as we work for them, of course... otherwise.. I guess it's off to Tenurae."
Seed was rather surprised by Leizs answer. Being around Heartless and being one would give someone their own kinds dirty work was everywhere anything evil was going. So the emerald Heartless just shrugged it off as he said, "Oh...well..." he scratched the back of his head out of nervous anticipation.
He looked over at the city and wondered what that place was like on Leizs world. Seed almost paid no mind to Leiz as he wanted to walk through the illusion but he cut in real quick.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you..." he reached out and grabbed Leizs arm.
"The original island is still layered underneath this illusion. Make a wrong step and you'd get really hurt. See..." Seed let go of Leizs arm but let his fingers trail down it and explained. Seeds illusions were a double edged sword to whoever it was being used against.
"I'm a skilled killer. Illusions like this are how I..ya know...kill people..." he thought on what that sounded like for a second and widened his eyes and spat out a retort.
"N-not that I'm trying to kill you...I just wanted...to...umm..." he scratched the back of his head as his face started to redden again. Just why was he doing this. To impress the kid? For all Seed knew it was. He was acting odd and he was oblivious as to why.
"I guess...impress you, cause you're...kinda....cool" his voice getting softer as he spoke. When he was done he just had a nervous look painted on his face as he made vague eye contact with Leiz.
"Oh, god," the boy thought, widening his eyes at the heartless's words. He knew what was happening. Seed wasn't just interested in making amends. He was interested in him. He was INTERESTED interested in him.
Not sure what to think of the male's reasons for being amiable, Leiz stood there silently, wondering what he should say or what he should do. Seed was strangely the very first person to ever formally compliment him. Many men had come before him, of course, but had only ever done so under the pretenses that he was of the opposite sex. Upon discovering that he was in fact a man after all, most people shied away. Creepier people persisted.
But this was a very different situation. Those pretenses were obviously inexistent this time around. What confused Leiz the most was that he wasn't overtly disgusted like he normally would have been - Instead, he felt kind of gratified that someone would compliment him in a way that wasn't so... demeaning, if it could be said.
He looked upon Seed with the most difficult, indecisive glare, truly wondering if his words were sentiments that he, too, could share. Initially, he could never say that was the case. The heartless used to be an enemy, and now he was more of an... acquaintance. But what Seed had just done to bolster his confidence had ultimately, in a way, changed how his eyes saw him.
Sheepishly blushing, Leiz questioned his repressed, indiscernible sexuality as he unconsciously looked up and down Seed's form. "You're... not such a bad guy after all."
Seed almost portaled out of the place when he saw the look Leiz had given him. It looked like a mix of confusion and...more confusion. Not something you want to see on the face of the person you think you might have a crush on. The Heartless tried to make more eye contact but he was too embarrassed, it had been far to long since he told a guy he thought he was good looking. Truth is...Seed, as far as he could tell, connected more to guys than anything. Having fading human memories and emotions complicated things. Was he into guys or girls more? Was it human glitch in his Heartless body?
Then Leiz did something that made Seed smile...actually smile. Not smirk, scoff, or just feel good, but smiled; Leiz actually blushed slightly and looked Seed up and down. With Seeds smile the illusion vanished and he just sat back down on the sand and looked up at Leiz, a goofy grin on his face.
"So...ummm...not very good at this either, shit" the curse being muttered under his breath but the sharpness of it still made it audible. He had forgotten how to flirt, he was so used to just using his looks on sleazy women to get laid it made him numb to actual feelings. A mock from Eleaus popped in his head, "Feelings make you weak Seed, they tie you down." the emerald Heartless shook his head in an attempt to shake out Elaeuses prattles as well.
Looking back up at Leiz, the goofy grin coming back unconsciously, Seed asked.
"So...I think you're...pretty good lookin...and...you think I'm pretty good lookin...where does that leave us now?"
A good question indeed. While certainly the more socially knowledgeable of the two, Leiz hadn't the faintest clue where that put both of them, given that he hadn't exactly admired someone before. Not in his entire life, pretty much.
Figuring they'd work it out naturally, since improvising was merely in his nature, Leiz sat back down on the sand... opposite Seed. He ran a hand through his hair, almost out of words and practically mute as he pondered what to say next. Were words insufficient to compliment the situation? Were they both, in a way, succumbing to a baser desire that really didn't need much explaining?
Looking into the heartless's infinitely deep eyes, Leiz immediately found it peculiar how he was beginning to kind of fall for Seed, noting how radically different things had changed between the two in the matter of less than a good twenty minutes. He kind of doubted his judgment a little. Why was he ever so quick to pass judgment on the fellow green-haired male when, in actuality, he hadn't really known him?
Even rotten people had some merit. Seed, despite the fact that he was so obviously seeking affection, did something that very much changed his opinion of him. For however long, that was unknown, but he could not imagine leaving the heartless's side any time soon.
"I, erm... would think that we're supposed to get closer."
Seed sighed when Leiz ran his hand through his hair. It eased him about the whole situation he was in, comforted really. He didn't care if he was succumbing to the last bit of humanity that was clawed its way to the surface. It made him feel good, that he can connect to a person and not be a total ass to get attention, that he can open up and be accepted.
Seed took Leizs hand and he laid down on the sand dragged Leiz to his side. The Heartless wrapped his arm over the teens shoulder and smiled. He looked back up at the sky and thought about how tonight was going to affect the future. Seed couldn't really care what the XII were going to think, this was his eternal life and who he spent it with was his damn business and his alone.
"Ya know, the sky looks...better than it did a few minutes ago" he mused as he ran his hand through Leiz's hair.
Things were going to be alot better from this day on. He could feel it.
Leiz was surprised to find that he was perfectly fine with Seed holding his hand, not even the least bit resistant or disapproving towards his whims. Usually, the green-haired boy was always withdrawn, vouching to keep a minimum distance from everyone else.
That changed, though. Today, for the first time in a long time, he let someone else be close to him. He let someone else touch him. Leiz found himself being embraced around the shoulder by Seed's arm, unknowingly... liking it. Enjoying it, even. He let his head rest against the taller male for the moment as Seed's hand ran through his hair, comforting him in this unusual moment of... proximity.
Was it his heart? Was his heart doing this? He could... kind of feel it. For the longest time, his heart was closed off from him. Inaccessible, locked away... unseen. Harm, discord or certain feelings never quite bothered him. The shackles around his heart were beginning to loosen. Not completely, but just enough so that he could feel it and reaffirm its very existence.
Listening to what his heart was telling him, he found himself nuzzling into the heartless's shoulder, accepting its presence and warmth. Leiz hoped that this wasn't some kind of dream. He truly felt at peace.
