In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The smile on her face had never disapeared faster. "It's... how to describe it... a nuclear, radioactive hell on earth, filled with monsters, mutants, zombiefied people, and assholes. There is very little plant life, the animal life is all mutated and heavily carnivorous, and it is very hard to find clean water. Not to mention the giant insects and cannibals..." She narrowed her eyes slightly. "I hate that fucking placed with a vengeance... So, I don't really wanna talk about it..."
"Sounds fun..." Vapor then looked at Rose, "Don't worry, I won't mention it again." He sensed the hatred in Rose's voice throughout her explanation of her home world. And he could easily tell why she hated it. It'd be hard not to hate something that could kill you just because you stepped outside or turned a wrong corner. The worst part, at least in his mind, was "very hard to find clean water" Vapor didn't like that part one bit, and it shouldn't take a genius to figure out why. So, instead of further questioning Rose's home, Vapor smiled at her and stared out at the endless sunset.
"Fun? Fun? Lemme show you just how fun it is." Rose stood, and began typing on her computer. A dark portal openned. "Come on, up, up," she said, pulling him up to his feet, and through the portal.
On the other side, a barren wasteland appeared. A desertesque, rocky place, with sand kicking up in dust devils in the wind. She released him, and whistled loudly.
And again.
About a hundred feet away, the ground began to rumble. a huge multi-jointed tail with a foot long sting on the end erupted outward, then the rest of the body emerged, revealing a huge white scorpion, the size of a man. Rose smiled and whistled again, and it scurried over to her. It stopped in front of her, seeming to bow it's tail. she knelt and patted it's head. "Been a while, Sting."

"Lemme show you just how fun it is." Vapor didn't really like the sound of this. He watched Rose call up a dark portal, and she dragged him through it.
Once on the other side, Vapor took a look around, to take in the few surroundings there were. And what he saw was, well, dead. Just like Rose had said. A huge, barren wasteland. He heard Rose whistle a couple times, and then the ground nearby began to shake, and out came what seemed to be a scorpion. But it wasn't a normal scorpion. Far from it, actually. This one was the huge. A look of shock, with a hint of fright, came across Vapor's face. "What in the world is that!?"
"This is Sting. He's an irradiated species of scorpion. Just an example of this world's fucked up ways..." She heard a scuffling noise, and drew her shotgun. There was a low growling noise. SHe whistled low, and Sting hurried around a dune. there was a loud surprised growl, then a squeal of pain, then another. Rose mounted the dune. "It's okay, just a wild dog." She shook her head at it. "Damn things attack on scent..." Suddenly she was thinking it hadn't been such a good idea to bring Vapor here, and she quickly opened a portal back to the hill. "Let's get out of here."
"I'm glad that thing's on our side.." He thought. He saw Rose draw her shotgun, and assumed she'd heard something. He, on the other hand, hadn't heard a thing. Probably because he wasn't listening due to the huge scorpion, apparently called Sting, acting as a pretty large distraction. He heard Rose whistle once more, and the scorpion set off around a dune, and then he heard a growl along with a couple squeals. Whatever was there, Sting must have killed it. "It's okay, just a wild dog."
Vapor began to realise how messed up this place actually is. "It's basically if you see something move then you shoot it. If it keeps moving, you shoot it again." Rose then interrupted his thought with something he was waiting to hear. "Let's get out of here." Vapor ran over to the newly opened portal. "Gladly." He said, "But, ladies first."
She frowned, then whistled peircingly. The scorpion cowered, then begin moving away. She didn't like doing that to him, but he couldn't follow her. "Ladies first? Just get through the dang portal, Vapor," she said, grabbing his hand, and pulling him through.
Back on sunset hill, she turned to Vapor. "Sorry about that... I shouldn't have brought you there... That could have been something much worse than a rabid dog. I endangered you unneccesarily." She turned away from him. And things had been going so well too. "You probably would like to leave now..."
Rose pulled him through the portal like before. Then on the other side she started apologizing. She was saying things "It could have been worse" and "I endangered you unnecessarily." To this Vapor replied "Don't apologize. It was.. How to put it.. An adventure. Even though it was only for a few minutes. But I can see why you hate it so much. It's kill or be killed and, to be honest, that's no fun."
He saw her turn away from him after her apology had finished, and then she said "You probably would like to leave now." Vapor stood for a second, before walking over to Rose. He put his arm around her, and said "Now, why would I want to do that?" Giving her a kiss on her cheek.
She turned around, and kissed him again, smiling. "An adventure, huh? Well, that's one thing you can always find around me, is adventure." She sat down, and picked up her sandwhich again, taking a bite.As she chewed, she looked at Vapor happily. She could really grow to like this guy. Her shadow stretched out beneath her, looking for all the world like someone laying on the ground with their arms behind their head.
Vapor looked down at Rose, who was already back to happily eating her half of the sandwich. It was a good thing Vapor had already finished his half, because he didn't really feel like eating after seeing that huge scorpion. Well, the barren wasteland in general, actually. Instead, the blue haired individual walked over to the railing at the edge of the hill and stared out into the eternal sunset once more. "You know.. I could stay here forever, with you."
She finished her sandwhich, and drained her drink. She walked over to the fence, and behind Vapor, draping her arms over his shoulders, and crossing them on his chest. "That sounds awesom, but what would we eat?" she asked in a teasing tone,as she rested her chin on his shoulder, and leaned her head gently against his.
He felt Rose's head rest on his shoulder and her arms on his chest. "Well, there's a cafe at the bottom of the hill." Vapor answered, following her question. "Which sells wonderful subs, so there's that sorted." He stopped for a second. Vapor knew Rose was only teasing with her question, but he answered nonetheless. "But, we don't have an endless supply of munny."
"Munny, who needs the hassle? We can hunt in the wastelands, there are plenty of edible things as long as you don't inquire too deeply into what it is," she said, still teasing him, since her was going along with it. She kissed his cheek again, sighing happily. It had been a long time since she had been happy like this. This was big happy, this was not-go-away-after-five-minutes happy... She nuzzled her cheek to his.
"I don't really feel like going back there. Ever." Vapor said, "Although, I might consider it, if you're there too." Vapor really did feel like staying atop Sunset Hill with Rose forever, if food wasn't a problem, that is. But, you can't have everything in life, or it would be too easy. That said, he felt happier with Rose around than he'd felt since before his home world was destroyed, and he didn't want that happiness to go away, so he was going to hold onto it for as long as he could.
"No one wants to go back to the Wasteland, Vapor. Heck, that place wasn't anywhere NEAR the worse place in the area. The Florida Wastes have all kinds of much worse places. So, I guess that's it, we're a couple." SHe was so happy she could burst, and Halen could feel it. It was making him wanna skip around. Now, if only he knew what skiping was...
