In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Hero eleased the deep kiss, a dreamy, softened expression on his face as he did so. It turned out then, into a chuckle, bu then erupted into a lofty laugh. Massaging the back of his head, he was still trembling from the laugh, and said in a jovial tone,
"How stupid of me, I must have surprised you, huh? Even though we've only met once before. I must have left a pretty good first impression."
Setting his lopsided headphones in place, Hero scootched over and took a comfortable seat next to Helena, tilting his head back and letting his hair slightly fall backwards as his rather creepy, but at the moment, gentle looking eyes scanned t he starry sky.
"Hey.. can you tell me? About these people you're going to be traveling with.."

When Hero pulled away from the kiss, trembling fingers reached up to Helena's lips, shocked, surprised, euphoric. Yes, he'd shocked her. Yes, he made a great impression the first time around... but that was all right. More than just all right, really.
Wow, he kissed me...
Her thoughts always seemed to focus on that action alone. She couldn't think, couldn't understand anything that he tried to ask her. How far could he be from her already? The thought astounded the tsundere. She felt almost angry that he wasn't kissing her again... Didn't he enjoy it as well? Earlier Helena felt like punching him square in the jaw... That feeling was welling up again, but she was too dazed to do much about it.
Finally, the understanding of his second question got through to her. Helena blinked away the redness that colored her pale face and softly laughed in spite of herself.
"Umm, well, actually, I don't even know the pilot. I approached him and he was drunk, but I didn't recognize him so I thought that he was either new or he came here from someone else... He said that we could tag along with him as he went from world to world. I'm going with a few guys that I don't really know, actually... Their names are Falsetto, Legato, and Anil. Falsetto and Legato are song mages... Anil... he can imagine stuff into existence... They seem nice, though, I guess... But I find them a bit too... boyish...."
The tears had subsided a little bit now, but she liked the taste of them... Instead of pain, they reminded Helena of Hero.

Hero chuckled a bit under his breath, but a moment later, it burst into a hearty laugh. It was a gentle, kind, and polite laugh, but he never did this around anyone except Helena. Receding from his laugh, Hero sat upright and grinned sideways at Helena.
"I guess that's true. I'm sure you'll meet plenty of other girls you can refer to while you travel."
Seeing as the tears were now starting to thin, Hero turned for a moment to retrieve a small handkerchief and gingerly wiped away the last of Helena's tears. Then noticed something of an irritated blush hiding under the bouts of lank hair covering up. For a split second, Hero consulted with himself emotionally as to why Helena reverted, but came up with a solution.
"Hey Elly. That action from earlier.. a 'kiss'.."
Letting the handkerchief fall, Hero took the hands that were already poised around her cheekbones and leaned in a bit closer.
"Can I try it again?"
He leaned in closer until he finally found her lips again. He tried to feel it differently than before, with a different emotion. It wasn't the pacifying coldness that it retained earlier, but now seemed warm and caring. Perhaps.. she was thinking about him as well.
... At this point, it might not be as serious or intense.. but I'll try it anyways.
Uncertainly, but then relaxed, Hero slipped his tongue in as well, holding the kiss for longer. The black and blue of their hair seem to mismatch as Hero brought a gentle hand behind Helena's head and brought her in closer, but it seemed okay from his point of view.

I think you're with me on this one...
I hate to agree with you, but I am.
After the kissing had escalated Helena pushed away Hero, a bit shocked. This wasn't... what she wanted... so soon... Her cheeks were a bright red, her eyes wide, somewhat trembling. She felt stupid for feeling angry earlier. Still, she felt that light, frivolous emotion, this thing called love, something that wasn't tangible and yet could cut deep into the heart as if with a knife. There was no end to how... horrible she felt for cutting off something that meant so much to the both of them. Something was just telling her "no" for now... The night was still young. The stars were still high in the sky. They had just really hit this off minutes before...
And she didn't feel ready. Rust-like eyes glanced over that face once more.
But Helena, as if to compensate for this mistake, kissed him softly.
And you think he won't do that again? You really are an idiot...

(( LOOOOOOOOOOOL IT'S A KISS CARNIVAAAAAAAAAAAAAL ))
Hero didn't feel abashed when Helena pulled away. On the contrary, he felt , quite possibly, the tiniest bit of releif. She was still blushing, but she was no longer irritated with emotional doubt. A moment later, she even returned his kiss, which was the moment which actually kind of surprised Hero.
After releasing it softly, Hero scratched his head with a sheepish and emberrassed look on his face.
"Like I thought, I'm not the best at this kind of business. But.. I want to try, for our feelings."
A longing look crept into Hero's eyes as he clenched them for a moment while gulping, placed a gentle pair of hands around Helena's shoulders and said in a worried tone,
"One more time.. I want to show that form of affection towards you."
He kissed again, with gentle passion. Somehow, it felt better to kiss then to keep talking, trying to make sense out of their thoughts. And he wondered if Helena felt the same.
(( Who is that voice? Her father darkness whatever? ))

[[Mhmm~]]
Wow... It's like... my feelings are overwhelming my thoughts... All I can think about is Hero, how much I want to help him, how immeasurable this feeling is towards him. It's so real, so tangible... How is it that I've never felt this way before? I've lived seventeen years without anything close to this... love, right?
You couldn't feel it because you were too wrapped up in your own little world. But face it, that's the safest way, isn't it? You never get hurt that way. All you have to rely on is yourself...
Oh, shut up.
Finally, the kissing ended. Helena couldn't count how many times they'd kissed perhaps in the past ten minutes. Her thoughts were in a flurry, her heart pounding fast... She held tight to Hero, sad to know that this would have to end some time. She wanted to stay in this moment forever, to never leave his side... But she knew that she had to. Hopefully, one day, they would meet again. She hoped that day was soon, and that maybe she'd have changed some... become a better person. Truth be told, Helena wasn't too fond of who she was now. There was definitely some room for improvement there.

(( Since we're literally just re-typing all our posts I suggest we end this thread soon ))
Finally, Hero let go, his hands still resting on Helena's shoulders. Helena, for the first time in a while, seemed truly happy. Hero was glad he was able to do something for another for once - even though there was nothing divine or pure about feeling happy about somebody else feeling happy. His mind was settled in a gleeful and comfortable place, yet, his heart ached from beating so. However, he still sense something like doubt or an uncomfortability deep underlying in her consciousnesses. Gently, Hero touched Helena's cheek lightly with soft fingers, maiming her attention towards him.
"Helena.. I have something to request of you."
"Please, stay the way as you are now."
A faraway, distantly sad look crept into the dark blue eyes that belonged to the boy with a hair of similar color.
"I can tell you're fairly confused over your emotions. Like me, darkness tugs at your heart.
You feel love for me, but yet, it still nags. If you're thoughts are cluttered with change, then please stay how you were when I met you. You were cold, yet, offered me compassion and some form of warmth. You were Helena then."
Hero wiped his eyes, though, no tears stained his face.
"That's why, now, I say and keep this one cliche line for you,
I love you just the way you are, in this world, more than anything else."

What? He liked the way I was...?
The suggestion was completely different from what she thought would be the best. She thought that maybe, the warmth would ultimately win out against the cold. Maybe changing wasn't the answer. Helena had always thought that her demeanor wasn't exactly charming. She'd been cold and bitter on the outside for over four years now. His predicament was enough to crack the ice. The warmth beneath allowed thawing and it expanded the singular crack, if only by a little bit, if only just for Hero.
Her hand came to meet his at her cheek. His touch was warm, much like the element that belonged to her, an element that, now that she really thought about it, didn't fit her at all.
She rose to her feet at last. This night had its highs and lows... But somehow, regardless, it had been perfect.
I hope I never forget this night.
It was still like his lips were still on hers. She couldn't be rid of the feel, and for the longest time, she felt like she couldn't speak. Those eyes rested on him, wondering if maybe he felt the same way. At last, she rose, but she did not give up his hand. This may be the last time they'd ever see each other. She never wanted to remember this as the moment she messed up and ruined everything.
"Hero... You've brought up a valid point. I am confused, and I feel like something is there trying to pull me away from you... Darkness, I guess. But either way, you got me thinking about what love is, though I didn't know that it was love at first... I truly do think this is it. I'll be counting the days until we meet again, Mr. Hero." She smiled softly and gave his hand a squeeze. To think, in a moment, she'd have to let go... "Don't ever forget about this night. Neither of us can truthfully say when this will happen again for a spectrum of reasons."
Helena relinquished his hand at last, and then she turned away. Perhaps this was a one-time thing. Who was to say that they'd ever meet again? Who was to say that she'd still feel the same way about him...?
She had a feeling that these kind of feelings never went away.
"I'll stay positive. I'll see you around, Mr. Hero." The words nearly seemed detached, like the way she would speak to a customer at the store she used to work at.
But still, Helena blew him a kiss goodbye before they parted ways.
