In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

"Alright you guys, it's been a long day, and we finally reached are semi-finalist. He's been duking it out in his last match, making a tough call for the judges, against his winning match against Max; give it up fooooor ARTHAS!"
Olette wielded the mic in the center of the ring as she introduced the competitor on the right.
"His opponent may be sweet in the face, but is one tough cookie as she's been literally swinging her way through all her matches and made it out on top; give it up foooor Rose!"
She herself applauded giving the mic a few thumps, "Alright ladies and gentlemen thank-you for being here with us and waiting out this battle. As you know the winner gets the famous Struggle Trophy AAAND the champion belt, but there's also a suprise, so audience sit tight, and fighters due your best aaaaaaaaand STRUGGLE!"
She grinned viciously, and charged her opponent. She switched her club to a backhand hold, and, ducking low, aimed a blow at Arthas' gut. Then she skipped quickly backwards, and held the bat up, pressed against her arm, ready to block a counter attack...

((I wasn't informed of this. O: And I've been busy lately, so sorry.))
As Arthas strode into the arena, bat across his shoulder, he responded to the cheers, waving, then saw as his opponent already rushed at him. Without thinking, he blocked the blow, and then twisted his batm glaring at the girl across from him.
He blinked. Another Guardian? She was at the meeting.
As his bat was brought before him in both hands, he watched her carefully, waiting for her to attack again. This match would be taken much more carefully then the last one, and he would win.
Rose was suspicious. why hadn't he really countered? This guy wasn't arrogant, like the last one. There was something different here... She set her mind to measuring distances, calculating arcs, estimating swing strength and speed, picking out routes. She narrowed her eyes, and purposefully went into a clumsy charge. At the very last second, instead of swinging, she dodge rolled past him, swinging her bat at his legs as she came out of it.
Ah. He hardly expected a bluff move, but a warrior's sense was required in battle. What betrayed the girl was the fact that her posture was prepared for a roll, and he knew what to expect. So, as she swung at his legs, he backflipped and rolled back, watching as the other bat swung away from him.
So, for good measure, he went to the side the sword was not on and, as he ran by, swung at her side, jumping to avoid a parry and rolling again, a safe distance off. The bat returned to a defensive position, and he readied for the girl's next onslaught.
She finished her roll without being hit. Damn it, he was a runner. Well, if she could keep chasing him around, maybe the audience would boo him into submission. She stood, looking at him with derision, once again applying math to the field. This time, though, she began calculating his likely from of attack. He had a high chance of either darting in for small, yet telling blows, or going for quick flurries, before dancing back out of reach. Wasteland tactic thirty four called for something very specific in this situation.
"What, scared of a little girl? You a coward? Come on, come and get some, coward."
A smile formed on Arthas' lips as he closed his eyes, blocking out the haunts. Master Soxan had touched on this several times in the past, and he knew a disadvantage when he saw it. She had played right into his plan, and it was time to execute.
A split second was all it took to shift his stance, and he suddenly ran at Rose, closing the distance fast between them. As he did so, his bat arched across his body and, instead of swinging, rammed between the two bodies, as he used the force of the push combined with an artfully placed foot hooked to her left leg to knock her center of balance askew. As he did so, the bat came back and thrusted at her chest, in an attempt to knock off several orbs.
"I expected more from a fellow Guardian, girl. At least Maxwell was a challenge, or are you just afraid to fight a boy? Actually, I sense bravery in you. "[/b]
And with that he stepped back, allowing his enemy the chance to get up.
Rose backflipped away, as he played right into her expectations. She felt an impact on her boot, and didn't know whether she had kicked his bat, or kicked him, but she quickly recovered herself, and came up smiling. "That's what I'm talking about!" she quickly charged him, and employed her patented bone crushing hammer swing. of course, she was only using a struggle bat,so there would be no bone crushing, but the power was there. And she had a plan in case he dodged...

//Chris departure proclaims that we won't be back approx til the 21st, so let's be patient and considerate. Heck you're poofing and you're coming back friday so take a chill pill before you get swept.\\
The key to winning was doing the unexpected, and Arthas saw his opportunity as he saw his opponent charge at him. His sword arm relaxed, yet his midsection tensed as he dropped as the swing approached him, falling on his forearms and wrapping his legs around Rose's left one, then using the split second he had as a distraction to roll away and get up, his sword once again on the defensive.
He then grimaced as he realized the extent of what he was forced to do, seeing a group of scars on his forearms where he had hit the ground. However, he still rose his bat, ready for the next attack the girl would pull off.
Anyways, Arthas basically fell forward and tripped Rose by catching her leg between his and twisting, to throw her forward. He then used the time to get up and roll away.
