In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Rina stood there, confused. What the hell is happening? She thought. She looked around, trying to see what the hell hit Myrle. She then saw Rhea running towards her and shout.
"Smells like Heartless." She was shocked by this.
"Heartless in the first district!? Where!?" She exclaimed. It was nearly impossible for heartless to be in the first district. A furious look stretched across her face. She could not let the heartless kill tonight, not like her parents.
"There! Right there!" Rhea exclaimed, pointing to the small alley near the cafe. Rina ran as fast as she possibly could towards it, withdrawing her guns and readying herself for a fight. When she got there however, she saw nothing. Confused, she looked around, trying to see something.
"Hey Rhea, are you sure..." She began to shout before she was smashed by something into a wall. Pain shot through her body rapidly and she slid down the wall, evidently in pain.
(Gratzi for the compliment, Akuma.//Do we wanna get someone to DM the boss?)
"One would think that a Heartless would stay to its original world. Only one Heartless I know can turn invisible, and is strong enough to breach this District. Lurk Lizard!" Right at the moment he spoke its name, the girl was shoved into a wall, and the culprit Heartless unveiled itself. ----- Listening to Grey's analysis, she semi-complained, "There's MORE? Oh, you. I really dun know how I can 'smell' like your race apparently can." She turned to the girl and responded. "Yeah, but this guy here says there's some more peons that managed to sneak in along with it. So be on your--" she was stopped by the girl being smashed into the wall by, predictably, the same Heartless. Rhea cringed in empathy, and dashed over to her. "Hey! She doesn't look so good!" ----- Myrle floated quickly over to the girl, so as not to put her into more shock from the attack. The silver aura on his hands enveloped the victim, healing her while lifting her to her feet.(80%MP remaining) "Now... Should we all fight together, or should some of us look for the other lesser Heartless?"

(You mean Zephris is going to role play the lurk lizard? If so then, it's okay )
''I think you Myrle should keep close to Rina. Make sure she's safe, because she doesn't look like she can hold her own right now.'' Akuma said looking at Myrle. He was still concentrating on the kongouseki particles in the air but his tone was full of confidence. ''I'll deal with the small guys and I suggest you Rhea, should stay around this area. The cowardly heartless seems to like bullying these two.'' Akuma was sure he could deal with the small heartless but after he's done, it will be extremely hard to fight the lurk lizard. He couldn't hold it's sent longer than 3 seconds.
Without further warning he dropped his case and scaled the roof tops. Hunting and stabbing neoshadows with his left arm. It was extremely trying but he was the only one who could do this job at the moment. And he just hoped that they would listen to him. He knew he was ordering them around but still. They weren't as calm as he was at the moment, So he had to take action.
((Alright kiddies, let's do this... THE UMBRIDGE WAY! >O))
She sighed, closing her eyes as the cold evening breeze flew through the First District. It was almost time to close the shop and Misae had decided to grab a broom and do some sweepin' on "her sidewalk". Customers rarely tended to come to her and do some last minute shopping on Wednesdays anyway, so that wouldn't be a problem. Not that she was complaining about that though; she liked these short moments of solitude. It was at times like this that she was able to reflect on life itself.
Unfortunately, this wouldn't be one of those calm and soothing evenings.
As the woman continued with her chores, minding her own business, she failed to notice the small group of travelers that had gathered nearby. After all, their intentions lacked malice and they hadn't really done anything to attract her attention... at least, not yet. Suddenly, she heard a loud thud and that was enough to interrupt her thoughts. Misae quickly concluded that the sound had come from the roof of her very own shop.
"Those kids... didn't I tell them to go and play somewhere else?" A soft sigh escaped her lips as she released her broom, leaving it leaning on the wall as she walked away from the shop to get a better look. However, to her surprise, she didn't find a group of seven year olds but a teenager, who had started to fall off the roof. Almond colored eyes widened as the man began to float from some reason; was she dreaming? But again many weird things had been happening to her lately, including the Heartless and this town (or world, as others seemed to call it).
"Smells like Heartless,"
"Aw, fuck." That was all she needed to hear. Sure, she had known about past invasions to the First District but they weren't supposed to happen anymore. Clenching her hands into fists, she glanced at the shop nearby. It was only a few steps away, but if what she knew about the Heartless was true the building wouldn't help that much. However, when she turned her head to see how the four youths were doing, the shopkeeper finally made an unexpected choice. The monster had just attacked the youngest of the group; a mere child.
That was enough.
"HY-AH!" Charging at the group of Heartless, spinning broom in hand, Misae proceeded to whack and smack a couple of Neoshadows, dodging the constant strikes of a third one in the process. Well, she wasn't athletic for nothing.
Meanwhile, the Lurk Lizard had already disappeared, deciding to watch and select its first prey. It was quite difficult to make a choice; they all had strong and juicy hearts but the five of them would eventually belong to it. While the newcomer wouldn't be too much trouble, she was far away; his brothers would distract her for the time being. Instead, the creature's eyes glowed for a moment as they fixed themselves on the youngest of the group.
Delicious hearts.
While a male began to bark orders at the rest of his group, the Heartless had already begun its march, spinning around once it was close enough to hit both the mage and the gunner with its tail. The lizard's teal body became visible for a few moments before vanishing once again, heading as far away as possible to launch a second strike.
The two Invisibles that floated nearby decided to team up, one approaching the swordswoman by the left and the other by the right. Ten Neoshadows were surprisingly attacked by the apparent leader of the humes, but only three of them were forced to retreat to the darkness. The survivors proceeded to surround the Rexanian, striking before flattening and becoming mere shadows.
Rina was still in pain when Myrle came over to her. That hit wounded her and she was finding it hard to get up. Myrle then put his hands on her, causing a silver aura to surround her and heal her. The pain stopped and Rina got back up, looking up at Myrle.
"Now... Should we all fight together, or should some of us look for the other lesser Heartless?" He shouted.
"There are more heartless!" She said, shock apparent in her voice. She couldn't remember a time when the First District had this much heartless. Looking around, she still couldn't see any heartless here. Starting to get annoyed, she shouted.
"Where the hell are you! Stop being a coward and come out!" Fury and annoyance was flowing through her body, reaching every pore of her body. She jumped in the air, trying get a better view just when she saw it. For a second, she saw a teal body appear and then dissapear. It seemed as if she just dodged an attack by chance. Aiming her guns at it, she shot 12 bullets before kicking off one of the buildings and aiming a jump kick at the location where she saw the body.
"Maybe you could tell us who you are before ordering us around, eh?!" Rhea responded reasonably, but was attacked in her anger. She went into a rage, turning Void into a whip-blade and widly attacking the Invisible that had ambushed her. ----- "Yes... that one that just assumed we'd listen to his 'thought-out' plan said that there were more of them. He went off to fend them, leaving us with the boss. Not planning on getting caught off guard again, Myrle raised a barrier as Rina jumped. He then knew why: the sneaky Heartless had launched another assault, which he had blocked. As it became visible, he reversed his invisible shield around it, hopefully preventing its escape. [70%MP] "I've made it vulnerable. It can't hit you with the barrier around it, but you can hit it." Calming down a bit, he still said this with a tone of slight urgency towards, well, whoever was left. ----- Okay...! Rhea sidestepped so that both the Invisible and the subdued Lurk Lizard were in her line of fire. "Take this!!" She launched both Austere and Void in front of her. The force of both would slice through both Heartless, if she timed it right. While they were returning to her, she would hop back, catch them, and dash in the same direction she threw her swords. She thrusted with Austere and sliced with Void. She used her momentum to kick off after attacking the Lurk Lizard, and followed up with a wild slashing attack with a whip-form Void.[65% stamina remaining] ----- As Myrle knew that the barrier wouldn't hold for long, what with all the attacks, he let it alone; it would fade after a few more attacks from any side. After letting everyone else have their turn, he released the barrier as he cast a new spell: orbs of magic would (hopefully) loosely stalk the reptilian Heartless, floating above its head until firing a beam downwards and dissipating.{60%MP, will be 66% next}

(Sorry for the late reply. I've been busy lately and please tell me if my character seems too over powered. Because I really don't know how easy it is to take down heartless if your not a key blade wielder. Furthermore, Locust is my cousin. Cut em some slack. Having two profiles is just retarded though.)
Akuma stabbed a neoshadow swiftly with his left hand which was a kongouseki thorn. He then turned to another. Akuma finished it quick and jumped to the third. There seemed to be ten more neoshadows left. Just as he sensed the nearest three and finished them off, he smelt two Orcuses at his sides. Before he had time to react he was slashed across the chest. Akuma flew into the heartless to his right. It immediately grabbed him with it's left hand and threw him in the direction of Myrle and the others.
He went through buildings and finally came through the broom womans store. The swordsman ended up on his blade case. His chest was cut badly, but as a reaver this would only make him stronger. It still hurt and made his eyes unfocused. Without delay he flipped and took out three swords from his case. The Orcuses seemed to be waiting for him to react.
''Oi!'' Akuma shouted, panting hard. ''What ever happens don't interrupt my battle. These guys are mine. If you do, I'll treat you as an enemy and slice you up.'' He stated. Akuma had complete confidence and he wasn't joking at all. A huge grin grew on his face as the pain became more and more. He didn't think heartless this strong would appear here. 'Must be a goddess's luck' He thought.
He was dead serious and in some way worried. He didn't want any of these heartless to pass him and hurt Ravian's sister. ''You do what I can't do and I do what you can't. I definitely.....wont let one heartless pass me!'' Akuma said it with such confidence that almost anyone would believe him. Eventough he didn't give a shit about Myrle and his sister. He knew he couldn't take down the Lurk Lizard without using bait. And even if he did he would have to cut through the bait to get the lizard. It wasn't something he could accomplish. After he was done talking he put one blade in his mouth and held the other two in his hands.
Oni Giri Akuma whispered. He crossed his two blades across his chest and placed the blade in his mouth horizontally behind both his arms. Akuma then jumped in the air, toward the Orcuses at a high speed and cut through the two Orcuses by swinging the swords across his chest, resulting in a descending diagonal-crossing slash from both swords while the mouth blade performed a horizontal cut from the left. Only cutting the one on the right. Hurting it more than it's kin.
Akuma landed on is feet and stood there panting. He just hoped that would be enough to finish them.

((Inactive thread is inactive. We should find a new DM; I petitioned Cadence awhile ago, but I suppose she's busy enough. I'm thinking a member with respectable RP skills should DM, not a staffer. They're occupied enough as it is. Any other ideas? ))
(( Thread has been a bit confusing to follow, so let me know if something big is off. 2 Invisibles – which Akuma changed to Orcus, so I’ll go with that, 7 Neoshadows, and the Lurk Lizard are left, I believe. ))
Space glimmered behind the chaos, the air warping as if reptilian itself, an invisible creature observing the battle at a safe distance now. It had had to leap away from the onslaught of bullets when it had taken a hit; its brethren had now taken control. The creature knew they were after its Hearts.
The Lizard’s tongue flickered out hungrily. All of a sudden its tail lashed out at the nearest foe, a young man battling two great Heartless [Akuma]. It then lunged, leaping clear over the man’s head, and the Heartless’ tongue thrust out again powerfully at the female that had attacked him before [Rhea].
It was then that it was struck by a beam fired from above. The Heartless hadn’t given the orb of magic that’d been stalking him a thought – to its detriment, for suddenly it was thrown aside, and became visible once more.
Strong Hearts.
Meanwhile, one Orcus staggered in midair, temporarily rendered incapable of lifting its powerful blade. It wasn’t quite nearing its last vestiges of power, but it had begun to doubt their prey was worth the effort. The other had no such inhibitions; it began charging its body with a deep and powerful thunder, preparing an immense shockwave.
At the last moment it switched targets, instead deciding on the dual source of Hearts. [General direction of Myrle/Rina/Rhea]
Lurk Lizard currently visible.
One Orcus vulnerable, one getting ready to deliver powerful attack.
One Neoshadow heading towards Akuma, two towards Rhea, one approaching Myrle, three strategically placed to prevent escape.
