In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Ienzo just remained silent. He needed no questions... Ansem would get to whatever he was planning on his own time. Their job at the current? To simply wait and watch. His own piece of Heart was taken and hidden for a time later on, when it would become of use to him. He already had Dark Zantetsuken; at the moment he didn't need another power. Perhaps when he was at the peak of his weakness he would get strength from his prize.
And inside him bubbled up a slight fear of what Note would think of his possession.
Pushing his thoughts aside, he awaited his next orders.
((Meant to have this up a day or two ago... but it was somehow erased before finishing it, and I was quite put off...))
Ansem returned to his seat at the head of the table, folding his hands before him, fingers interlacing. His demeanor changed somewhat, as he looked about the table to the seats which remained empty. They'd been doing so well, too. Perhaps some Heartless weren't up to the task...
Neo-Shadows began to wobble around him again, anxious for him to relay their findings. He let out a low growl, "Onward, now. To other more pressing business. The Shadows tell me of a new threat looming over Traverse Town. A strong, independent Heart which wishes to claim the land for it's own. This cannot be allowed to happen, the darkness of the Third District has proved far too useful."
He held a hand out over the table, gesturing to his Dark XII, "Braig, to atone for your absence in Port Royal, you will lead a team against this new threat. Ciraph, Xaoc. Accompany him. You will prove your worth one way or another... Analyze the threat, but to not engage unless engaged first."
He looked to the rest of them, "In the meanwhile, we need to find more resourceful ways to bolster our power and ranks. Lumaria and Ienzo, I need you two to travel to Wonderland. Find the Red Queen and corrupt her dark heart further. Turn her into an ally. Gain her trust and ear. I will have use for her armies in the near future."
His gaze turned across the table, "Even, Arlene, Seed. Travel through the Corridors Between and find the tower of Yen Sid. Slay the old Master if necessary, but you must claim the tower for our own uses. It's vantage point between the Realms will prove invaluable in our next phases."
Ansem closed his eyes, "And I will travel to the Underworld. I have business with Hades that I must conduct. I will send reinforcements accordingly as they become avaliable. Are your orders understood?"

"Crystal clear," Arlene replied as she glanced at Seed wondering if he would be up to par for this mission. Rumors has it that he's been with the most peculiar company for all the wrong reasons. The She-heartless picked at her nails dreaming of that day she would have to cut his ties, set him free, and keep his heart prisoned within her divine coccoon of mischief maybe even madness. Although she may be stuck with the weak link, she had Jack Frost as a buffer, and she wasn't stuck with the newblet recruits.
If only they can just blow awaaaaay or better yet drop dead. Atleast then their hearts would be resourceful. Arlene thought to herself thinking of the most colorful ways to end them all once they pay their debts with their labor. With disatisfying moan, she flicked the thought of them away like the dirt. So who in the hell is this Yen Sid....sounds stuffy?
A Corridor of Darkness suddenly appeared at the end of the room, as The Raging Tempest surfaced from the dark portal; his black cape shrouding his body. He advanced to his seat; his expression was blank and only locked his eyes on the Seeker of Darkness, himself. With swift motion, Dilan got down on one knee and bowed to his master; his eyes now staring at the floor. "My apologizes, Master Ansem for my tardiness. I also apologize for my absence, as of late, and I wish to do anything I can to atone for it." Dilan spoke confidently to the Seeker of Darkness.
Dilan, cocked his head up and stared into his master's eyes again; a look of determination and valor in them. He raised himself and glanced around the room. Looks like most of the team is here... But why do I smell the presence of humans? Humans shouldn't even be allowed in the Castle. The Heartless viewed them as inferior beings and believed that they're only used for food. But, Dilan wasn't like the other Heartless; he wasn't one to feast on hearts just for the fun of it.
He sat down in his seat and unlike Arlene or Braig, Dilan was more polite and always sat up straight; he never slouched, as he felt that that was totally disrespectful to Ansem.
"I would like to apologize again, but can anyone tell me what happened during my absence?" He eyed Even and Ienzo; he felt like those two would be...kind enough to give him the info. He never liked to talk with the bitchy Arlene and something about Braig...just annoyed the Raging Tempest. It was probably his 'As is line he always says.
It was time, though, for Dilan to get back in action and assist the Dark XII's goals. It was time for him to test his fighting and wind spells, and prove to everyone --including the Dark XII members-- that he's a force to reckon with.

Seed only nodded, his thoughts and 100% concentration on other things. He hadn't felt Leiz's energy in some time. Too long. Emerald eyes lazily moved to the only woman in the XII, the little bitch is more like it. "Hear that, you get to spend an entire mission with -me-, how exciting for you. I do hope you can contain those female hormones when I get all hot sweaty and lookin good." His voice filled to the brim with sarcasm and dripping with a tinge of challenge. Perhaps he would bring the Wolf with them...on second thought.
"Master Ansem, if you would allow it. I have a certain...Wolf, that may be able to help us destroy the fool in the tower much quicker. He isn't...human to be exact. I planed on bringing him to you personally, but maybe a field test would be a better test, no?" A small, tiny, cruel smirk painted itself on his face; Ideas of just how to push Sol swam in his head, almost making his toes curl with excitement.
Even smiled coldly as the piece of heart that was his floated down in front of him. Catching hold of it, he kept it in his hands as he listened to Master Ansem hand out missions. So, Arlene and Seed. This should be interesting. Arlene I can handle. She's just bitchy sometimes. Seed though...he's more chaotic, and since I like to have things planned out...I may not be able to handle him. As Even finished his thought, Dilan walked out of the darkness and started groveling to Ansem and Even blocked him out. The thing that snapped him back to attention was Seed talking about a...wolf he wanted to bring along.
Even quickly stood up and looked to Master Ansem, hoping that he could dissuade him. "Pardon me Master Ansem, but if he" Even shot a look at Seed, "Is planning on bringing someone, and hoping that afield test is the best option, perhaps not as important as a test as this. Also, if this...wolf turns out to be similar to Seed in his chaotic ways, our mission may easily become jeopardized, and our organization could become endangered if he is captured. He cannot use the Corridors of Darkness as we can, so in a scrape he cannot get away as easily. Also, he is atleast part human. I remember when we used humans only as pawns for missions that were too lowly for us. Not high importance missions such as this one."
Even looked from Ansem to Seed as he said, "So, with all due respect," he said, emphasizing the last word, both with volume and sarcasm and looking back to Ansem, "I'd kindly ask to not be assigned another child to be forced to babysit." Having said his peace, he sat down, praying to the Darkness that Master Ansem would listen to him. After all, he was the smartest member of the Dark XII, and he was the leader of this mission. Sure, Master Ansem was in charge of the whole Dark XII, but surely he'd listen to the other members' requests.
And then the prissy ant had to speak, with a loud chuckle and mocking applaud the Seed of Discord rose; keeping that applaud going and a cold stare at Even, "My, my. What a parlance; But again you think too much with that oversized brain of yours." the clapping stopped, arms hung to his side, and a twisted grin pulled at his lips. The faint tilt of his head and the sheer volume his demeanor spoke would do more than his words.
"You put some much doubt in me Even, makes me think you don't like me; such a shame. Such a delicious sense of self worth you have, laughable really. Sol is a natural killer; How he is not a heartless already is beyond me. He can be tainted and used to serve -him-..." Single finger pointed at Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness, the Big man on campus. If he wanted more taint, more darkness in the world than Seed would gladly plant himself in that ploy.
The pointed finger retracted, trailing across his hairline and through his hair as that pulling grin finally spread across his face, "So until you know just how fruitful this can prove for the whole; Maybe let this child play with his toys, and break them if need be..."
Darkness gathered at the meeting room's end, and, in a puff of dark flame, the XII's very own Tricky appeared. "It's been too long, my good comrades," the Heartless remarked, doing his signature bow that was almost theatrical. However, the group had changed in the time he was absent. Some of the members themselves had changed, others had gone, and some faces... were not familiar. In particular, the rather overbearing one; even Arlene had some rights to be talked to in a certain way.
Addressing the Leader of their organization, the Seeker of Darkness, he, like Number Three before him, knelt. "I would implore you to forgive my extended absence, my leige. If there is anything at all that's to be done as reconciliation, I would be honored." He knew that some of the others would regard him as a kiss-up or something, but that didn't matter in the scheme of things, now did it? Once all worlds belonged to them.
After recieving instruction and such things, The Tricky took his place at the tenth chair.

"Anything for you, sir." There was a slight edge to his words. Team up? With humans...? Err, a human and a dragon, to be precise. Braig, finally having remembered the dragon's name--Ciraph--knew at once that the woman was Xaoc. Quite the pity for these guys. I'd show them up so much that they'd blush from embarrassment. Don't matter, though. I might get a good ranking with the Boss... and that matters the most, yeah? The Demented Shot, still playing with the Heart Shard, grinned wryly. Perhaps this wasn't all bad... He'd get to boss people around, and that was better than being bossed around.
After Arlene made her comment, a Corridor sprung up. Dilan's scent filled the air. "Oh, goody. My best friend," Braig exclaimed a bit flamboyantly, as if to make a point. The sardonic tone had the capability to pierce armor... Dilan took his job way too damn seriously. It was a characteristic of his that made the Shot disgruntled, even as a human. His old friend, or rather, comrade took a seat after he bowed to Ansem--bowed! He obviously doesn't know him. Not like I do. The Heartless sniffed and turned up his nose. Being serious was too boring. They'd spent all of their human lives being serious, chasing darkness, exploring the mysteries of the Heart. This second life should at least be entertaining.
Next, Even and Seed decided to duke it out. Both amused Braig greatly. Seed was a rather interesting card to begin with. He didn't want to take no for an answer in this instance, making the conversation all the more interesting. Even and his "oversized brain" made for interesting points, at the very least. Having met the wolf-boy before, Braig could say that he could be a threat to the mission... But either way, one had to make sacrifices for the greater good, didn't they? Even needed to get a straw and suck it up.
Finally--Wow, so many things happening at once...--Ruold entered the vicinity. His scent was rather delightful to smell. The Heartless didn't know the Tenth very well, but their elements were closely intertwined. Space and time worked closely together, and without either, the fabric of the universe would surely unravel. The marksman beamed up at the Tricky. He had knelt, too, but that was irrelevent. Dilan was serious all the time... Ruold, he could at least live with.
Ansem stood from his seat at the head of the table, having remained silent as long as he could bear. His gloved fist rose, and crashed down into the tabletop with a thunderous report, "ENOUGH."
There was no give or shortness of weight to his tone.
"Misunderstand nothing," he commanded, his deep voice carrying a rarely-heard harshness that got the better of his more common even-leveled tongue. "We are not Nobodies. We are not the Organization. The Dark XII and it's mission will not splinter on account of your petty squabbles and bickering. And I will not tolerate this infighting, not at this key point in our advancement."
He braced both hands on the table, studying every member one by one, "You each serve your purposes. Let that be known. I do not suffer the company of anyone I do not have plans for, nor do I allow them to get away with not working their share." He looked to Seed the wild card, then Even the concerted, then Arlene the twisted, then Dilan the loyalist. Each one brought an element to this current conversation that demonstrated something the others needed to learn.
"One sky. One shadow to blanket them all in our Darkness. And should ANY of you threaten that grander plan you shall be forfeit, usefullness or tenure be damned." He seethed out a breath through his nose, eyeing each of them again.
After a pause, he nodded to Dilan, then to Rould. "Tempest, accompany Even and his team to the tower. You will best serve our cause by helping to defeat the old Keyblade Master. Rould, you will aide Lumaria and Ienzo to help manipulate the Red Queen."
He looked towards Seed, then Even. "As for you... bring your mutt along. But should there be even a moment of unintended circumstance, Even, you are authorized to smite the creature into the void... Yen Sid is powerful in the ways of magic. You will need everything you can to secure the tower, but I am certain you will know if and when to cut the loose strings before they fray the entire cloth..."
He eyed the Tower Team with authority, "I placed you all together for a reason, and it was not to listen to you bicker and squabble. It is because between your intellect, chaotic drive, and tenacity I hope to prove to the entirety of the XII that you can find balance and victory. Prove to me that you can accomplish your task under our unified banner, and I shall reward you for... tolerating one another."
He resumed his seat, hands resting on the arms of his chair, "Are. We. Clear?"
Ienzo watched with interest as the scene before him befell shame upon his fellow members. How ironic that those fighting for his attention were those to be harmed by it. Meanwhile, he sitting quietly in his seat, listened intently, awaiting instruction. While he didn't have time to speak as much anymore, he was still here nonetheless, and was always watching, waiting for the time when he was able to move forward.
The umbrakinetic folded his arms, bobbing his leg slightly, and nodded as Ansem spoke. Hopefully, he would be back in action soon.

"But, of course, sir." It was a little entertaining, but such a pity that their ranks had to squabble amongst themselves; it was only a small grievance to Ruold, because he knew that... most of them got down to business when the need arose. After receiving his mission orders, Ruold surveyed the room, searching out what few members he could converse with in a decent manner.
He got his wish, as when he was looking about he saw a member smiling, yes, smiling at him. Ruold's minute shock was amplified by the face that was grinning - Number Two himself. The Tricky couldn't discern whether it was one of those 'Hey, let's have a nice chat!' smiles or that 'Get on my bad side and I'll screw you over' grin. Or both.
You can never tell what a Heartless is thinking, even if you are one.
As such, in his own cautious and nonchalant manner, Ruold walked up to Braig. "First you're scowling at your next-in-line, and now you're smiling at me. You're more contrary than the Cheshire Cat." Ruold's attempt at a relevent joke wasn't meant to be that funny, but hopefully it'd spark some conversation. "What's been going on since I've been gone? I seem to have missed out on quite a few things, non?" Saying this, Ruold made a slight head-jerk to Braig's Heart shard. If only he'd been there to help... But, he wouldn't let his competence be put into question. He would assert himself in their group as the power he... had been.
