Name: Sayonara Shoji
Age: 9 ||| Appearance-based: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Position: Light
Powers: Sayonara Shoji has the ability to use material. In essence, practically everything around him. In combat, for example, if there's something metallic nearby, he can extract the material in form it into, perhaps a sword. If they're fighting in a grassy area, If there is liquid, he can materialize it into anything of his choice, making him, essentially, a manipulator of all elements, and a sort of god. However, his power decreased signifigantly, and no longer does he control the power of fire, water, not even wood. The only kind of material he commands control over is that which lies beneath the earth. To be specific, rocks. Rocks can include substances such as iron, steel, metal, copper, silver, gold, electrum ( gold and silver ), and others. Each of them has a higher difficulty of handling, and yet, a steeper and less steeper increase in strength with each type. Steel is his most common use, as it is fairly all-around average for use in speed, strength. It's a list that goes from weakest to strongest, but on the other hand, can also be considered as fastest to slowest, following all principles and laws of physics and strength. Now we delve further into the complex systems concerning what we will nickname, "Materializing".
Materializing is a process that takes a few forms:
De-Materialization: Is the first step in any Materializing - Shoji has to summon the material first in order to form it. It flows out beneath the ground in a liquidized form, in fast, but small doses so that it will not break apart the ground. Whatever the material is, it will take a liquidized appearance, momentarily hovering disquietly in the air around Shoji.
Construction: In combat, where Shoji transforms the De-materialized essence into a weapon. In the list below, each's skill will be judged on by a scale of level 1, 2, and 3. Due to the fact that some may be dangerous for direct contact to his hands, each and every handle of every weapon has a light cloth wrapped around it. Speed and attack are self-explanatory, and skill simply means how easy it is to use and specifics.
It varies.
It may be a simple list of oldern arsenal, but as it turns out, Shoji - like Hero - can compromise. In this case, Materialization allows him to frenquently switch between weapons quickly in battle at the limit of 2 weapons per post. This allows him to frequently change his blows at the opponent, and in the long run, exploit whatever weakness they might have. One of the key factors in Materialization is his materializer, which takes the appearance of a regular compact music player and hangs around his neck all the time. A few buttons on it activate Materialization, and from there, he commands the combat. On the other hand, it plays music rather well. The ultimate limit happens to be concerning the device itself, though. once the correct button is clicked, the pixilized, narrow screen begins a small countdown as, from the very top of the pale green monitor, a black bar slowly starts to descend. He can refer to it whenever he needs to check wether he is running low on time. If it hits the end, his power goes out of sync, and it becomes highly possible to lose himself and hurt someone, as Materialization conerns strong mental strength as well. To avoid this, he simply has to reset the timer by quickly switching it's batteries. It turns out that it drains electricity thousands more faster than it should when Transmissioning happens, so Shoji does it very quickly and percisely - much like the reloading of a gun. He can also withstand the strain if the timer hits 0, but only for a short time; 2 minutes let's say. Most importantly, the timer ends at 9 minutes, which tends to be, in RP realtime, somewhere around
7-8 posts by assumption. Reloading takes around a single post.
Weapon:To be quite frank, his weapons come from his ability - kind of a hand-in-hand combat relationship. The most needed and important information about his fighting styles and methods come from the section above. Despite his appearance, he has a body that can withstand many strong blows
Appearance: Shoji is possibly one of the shoddiest, not to mention oddest looking people on earth. His jet black hair is messy to the point where it's not even considered normal. A lot of people assume he uses a whole bottle of hair gel just for one curl. He stands at an average height of around 5 feet and 9 inches. His attire consists of a single pair of lightblue jeans, and a shirt underneath with a similar, blue and white, striped pattern. However, only the very collar of the turtleneck is noticed, white hoodie covers up the outermost portion of his torso and chest. Below the hood, somewhere near his shoulders, two long, white, fluffy and soft threads protrude out, which depict somthing similar to "Bunny Ears". Although he wears it everyday, it appears to always stay clean. One would assume him as a simple high-school student.
Personality:Shoji is shy and moe in epic proportions. Though honest and true, he is fairly gullible, naive, and tends to not trust people much unless he knows them well. He shows many signs of being ditzy and a clutz, not paying attention sometimes to the feelings of people around him, and many times losing his location lost in thought and unable to get back. Though, fairly advanced in his studies, he shows no intellect in socializing or doing interesting things by any means. Unlike Hero, he did not lose his memory, so his anxiety increases tenfold when he's alone and in the dark, but other than that, only loud noises and big pop-ups make im feel like his existence is threatened. In this case, he's scared by a lot of things, but fears very little. Shoji tends to get a little bashful when complimented, and has no idea how to deal with romantic situations. He goes through darastic character changes when confronted with certain situations - despite his frail will, he has a stronger sense of justice and righteousness. His seriousness and concentration grows to a catostrophic level when strained with a difficult or intense scenario, therefore contributing to his experience in combat. One of his greatest fortes, besides studying, is sewing. Using only a needle and some fabric, he can make stupendous clothing and dresses. Most of what he sews he doesn't even wear - just keeps them in his closet for show.
Original World: Brennenburg Castle
Current World: Travel
History:To understand the past of Shoji, you'll need to get Herone Arisato's history. They both come from the same world - Brennenburg Castle, and the ancient laboratory lodging in the caves underneath, "The Shelter". Hero was a subject bred from artificial energy that came from an ancient civilizaton living underneath Brennenburg castle. However, he was stopped short of the aging process, and came out an odd-looking child with an undeveloped body and undeveloped powers. Shoji, on the other hand, was destined for success. They threw Hero away due to the fact that he might have been a mistake, so another female scientist took him up while Shoji was being developed. The power's he gained were unimaginable - able of manipulating the elements of earth itself.
However, if you've read Hero's history, you'll know that the De-existences - the ancient race - caused all the workers to become monsters that hunted anything down - Shadows. Hero and his creator Sarah traveled futher within the Shelter to find a way out, and Shoji was ejected out a little bit later. As ejected, I mean that the Shadows broke his case open, and he was nearly killed before he could escape. Because of the sudden ejection, his supposed god-like powers diminished to something undeveloped, like Hero's Kinesis and Stasis. Like Hero as well, he looked throughout the Shelter to find a way out. Darkness also went into this world, adding to the number of curses this world was jinxed with. Hero managed to escape with his life, but Shoji was left, and before the Shadows nor the heartless could claim him, the world fell into darkness, and he woke up in Traverse Town..
