Original World: Ivalice
Current World: Radiant Garden
History:
*Pre FFXII Storyline*
Xander was born to nobles of the Nabradian Court. At a young age, he was a kind and adventurous child, more often then not causing trouble with some creature in the neighboring forest and marsh. Once he turned seven, he was brought to the Nabradian Army to learn the art of combat. Over the next 8 years Xander honed his blade and Green magicks, with the others proving too difficult for him to use properly. He stood confident in his strength, until one fateful night.
*FFXII Storyline*
A Judge from Arcadia has slipped in unnoticed, until it was too late. The Judge released the power of an ancient relic known as the Midlight's Shard a gem of pure nethicite, a highly power material, erasing every trace of those who lived in the halls of Nabudis. Xander was able to survive somehow, but was badly injured. He was later found by a group of moogles, collapsed on the forest floor. Once he had recovered, Xander left wandering in his empty state, feeling endless pain and sorrow for this he had lost, which was only broken by glimpses of anger and revenge. Xander spent the next year as a sword for hire, taking on various jobs, protecting the innocent and ambushing Archadian caravans whenever possible.
Xander was in the royal city of Dalmasca when the war ended. His anger had subsided when he saw the new ruler of Arcades, alongside the Queen, his face gave no signs of ill intentions, but showed remorse of what has transpired and hope of what will come with this new peace.
*FFXII RW Storyline*
Xander was among the vast amounts of sky pirates that flocked to the newly discovered sky continent that was found, about a year after the end of the war. He was fascinated by this new land and its endless sky. He traveled across the floating islands, fending off dangerous creatures, and putting a stop to those who would harm this place. However, one day he had been exploring a cave on one of the islands. He stumbled upon a group of sky pirates who had found the Auralith, but one of them took up arms against the others and destroyed it. The Auralith's destruction caused a large explosion of mist, which caught Xander in its wake. He was only able to catch a glimpse of a bright light, then darkness.
*Radiant Garden*
When Xander came to he had a faint memory of what had happened to him. Badly hurt from his landing, he felt weak, falling into a bed of flowers before fainting again. Xander woke to the effort of a pair that had found him. He recognized them as Dalmascans from the looks of their clothing but the surroundings told him they were no longer in Dalmascan, or Ivalice for that matter. The two had offered to travel with Xander, but he declined, deciding to face this new world alone, thanking them for their kindness. He set off towards a castle-like structure; moving forward was all he could do.
Role Playing Sample:
It’s been a few weeks now hasn’t it, Xander thought to himself while patrolling the bailey, since I first came here. Since arriving Xander has added his strength to the defense of Radiant Garden from the Heartless and Nobodies.
“Better go check the castle,” He spoke to himself.
Xander began to walk up towards the old castle, keeping an eye out for trouble. When he stepped close to the scrap metal structure in the path, a large explosion went off, blowing large rocks onto the path. Xander was able avoid getting crushed by the rubble, but soon found himself cornered by a group of Heartless.
“About time you showed up,” Xander pulled out his sword, and lunging at the nearest Armored Knight.
He took out the first one with a powerful helm-splitting slice, then parried the next one’s attack and slashed it and two others in half with a wide swing. Two Surveillance Robots warped in behind Xander and began firing off lasers.
“More?”
Xander casts a barrier over himself, dulling the lasers burns to stings and bruises, and charges at them. Once they have been taken out, Xander props himself on his sword, catching his breath.
“I hate ambushes,” He looks back down the path, “Better get back, incase more come out.”
Xander grabs a small bottle filled with a green liquid, and downs its contents. The substance restores his energy and he runs back down the path. Back in the bailey, Xander comes across larger Heartless, a group small Morning Stars and Crimson Jazzes.
“Crud, this might hurt a bit.”
He pulled up his sword defending against a Morning Star’s mace attack, and continues to fend them off, occasionally landing and taking glancing blows from the two. Meanwhile the three Crimson Jazzes are charging for their attack.
“Gotta end this quick,” Xander took a steady grip on his sword and began to focus for his own attack.
His blade began to give off a glowing light, as the Morning Stars came at him from the front, spinning wildly. He couldn’t lose focus, couldn’t give in. Right as they were on top of him, Xander cleaved though both with a single stoke of his sword. Now all he had to deal with were those pesky spellcasters. The hovering trio began creating bombs and setting off explosions around the lone warrior, I need to get closer, but how.
