In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Name: Novi (based on the Latin for 'new', or 'know')
Nickname(optional): None
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Position: Good, Royal Chronicler-In-Training at Disney Castle
Power(s): Novi is a chronicler, a person who records everything they see in a journal. He has trained his senses to be able to process huge amounts of information, and is able to remember with perfect clarity everything that he has experienced in the past 24 hours, although he afterwards forgets pretty much all the details, and has to frequently check his journal in order to recall everything. Unlike the usual journal which most other chroniclers use, Novi utilises a rather special mobile phone which also contain several other extremely useful features (see 'Weapon' below). While his handwriting is utterly illegible, his typing abilities are faster than anyone in the Castle (even outdoing Chip and Dale, the Castle technicians, with whom many typing competitions were won). He is therefore able to type down what is being said and is able to keep up with writing down even Donald Duck's top-speed rants in real-time with relative ease.
Having invested a lot of time in uncovering hidden documents and ancient archives, Novi is a skilled treasure hunter, although he has little interest in gold and jewels. While his knowledge of such valuables may be only fundamental, his understanding of written text, historical evidence and other documents is almost unsurpassed. This also stretches to computers - taught by Chip and Dale, he is particularly skilled at cracking (i.e. breaking into and editing software), which allows him to access data filed away in various computers. Due to the relative lack of technological capability attributed to the majority of Royal Chroniclers, Novi is able to discover information which most others would find difficult to access. However, his deductive and code-breaking abilities do not apply to his ability to successfully assess a real-life situation - for example, in combat, the best he can do is to avoid getting hurt and advise his allies on the strengths and weaknesses in an opponent.
Despite his utter lack of offensive abilities, Novi is classed as what can be called a combat chronicler, or a chronicler who specialises in recording things in the midst of combat. Being the only human chronicler at the castle, he is by far the biggest, and along with his dream of being a travelling chronicler like his superior Jiminy Cricket, being not exactly pocket-size for one's convenience is a rather frustrating obstacle for Novi. He has therefore focused on purely training his defence and agility capabilities, aiming to be able to move in and out of battle with ease. Having trained with the knights almost single-mindedly on manoeuvres involving escape, evasion and defence for almost ten years, he is able to take on five Disney knights without a scratch while constantly making records on his phone journal (albeit without being able to cause any damage either, since he doesn't really want to know how to fight, since it could hurt his hands). He has therefore achieved a high proficiency of escaping techniques, the ability to evade a majority of enemy attacks (although within reason - for example, it is physically impossible to avoid an attack of as wide a range as a technique such as the limit Bushido, or a combo delivered at a faster pace than his dodging, such as Final Arcanum), a significant adeptness in various acrobatic manoeuvres that allow him to run, vault and leap around his surroundings with ease (as well as taking pictures from great heights and difficult angles), and a mastery of defensive/support magic. This comes at the cost of having absolutely no ability to retaliate offensively in combat, as well as somewhat lower vitality than the average knight - he has tempered himself purely to survive, and is generally a pacifist, who rather dislikes participating in the active harming of others, with a special exemption made for Heartless, who can all go to hell.
Some of Novi's techniques include:
Motion Techniques Novi's movements revolve around his ability to move in and out of combat with the greatest possible speed and minimum difficulty. Therefore all his motion techniques are agility or escape-based, and serve no offensive purpose. His list of motion techniques are Air Slide, Cartwheel, Doubleflight, Glide, and High Jump.
Magic Novi specialises in defensive and support magic, and knows almost no offensive magic (save the basic Fire, which he was forced to learn by his tutors or he wasn't allowed to learn anything else). Novi's elemental affinity is light, and he does not use any dark-based magic, such as Magnet and Gravity. His list of spells are Bind, Blackout, Confuse, Cure, Esuna, Haste, Slow, Stop, Reflect, and Warp. He knows two levels of Cure and Reflect.
Effect Barrier A combination of Reflect and another spell. Novi uses Reflect to erect a barrier to block attacks from incoming enemies, while also casting another effect-inducing on them for generally 2 posts. Using higher levels of Reflect and the auxiliary spell increases the number of targets and how long they are subject to its effect - using higher levels of Reflect results in a greater degree of defence, while using higher levels of the auxiliary spell lengthens the time of effect to 3 posts, then 4 posts. The chances of the effect being implemented on the target is lessened by the power of the attack blocked.
Break Time Novi speeds up his own recovery for 3 posts. He is unable to cast any of his light-based magic during this time. Its primary use is to allow him to recover while weaving in and out of combat, so that he can continue writing without interruption even in the event that he is injured or otherwise waylaid.
Time Splicer Novi unleashes a spell that casts Stop on all surrounding enemies. It is less effective the stronger the enemy. For NPCs (including ordinary enemies like Heartless), it lasts 3-4 posts, while for user-controlled characters and stronger NPC enemies (bosses), it lasts 2-3 posts. For exceptionally strong enemies (such as wielders) it lasts only 1 post. Due to Novi's age and relative inexperience in using such advanced magic, he is capable of activating Time Splicer only once per page, and is unable to use magic in the following post.
Snapshot Novi releases a huge flash of light which can be used to cover an escape, illuminate an area or act as a signal flare.
Redemption Novi surrounds his allies in light, healing them and giving them accelerated healing for 3 of each of their posts. This is only able to be used when his allies are on low health. Novi is not yet able to maintain this technique simultaneously with other magical maneouvres, meaning that he is unable to use additional magic in the duration of the 3 posts without cancelling this technique.
Judgement The only offensive ability that Novi possesses, and he is unable to control it. Only useable when put under immense emotional pressure, Novi unleashes a titanic blast of light which engulfs the surrounding area, destroying all Heartless in the vicinity. Novi loses consciousness immediately afterwards. This attack only affects enemies affined with Darkness. It can only be used once per thread.
Weapon(s): - Gummi Phone, 'Chronicler' - A gift from the technicians Chip and Dale, partly due to their loss in a typing competition against Novi, and partly due to the chronicler being one of the only people in the Castle who really appreciate and understand technology, this is a very special mobile phone made from gummi blocks. While relatively wide, it is not overly bulky, and is roughly the size of a small handheld games console. It consists of a touch screen and a qwerty keyboard which slides out from the side, allowing him to type at his normal speed. It also has a camera which is also able to take pictures and videos of remarkably high quality. It is waterproof, heatproof and can be subject to incredibly high pressure without breaking, and has wireless capabilities. Its controls are isomorphic, which means the phone can be used only by Novi, unless access is unlocked to others. It runs on smiles, which can be a reason why Novi is forced to run around grinning all the time.
Other than the features attributed to a standard phone, Chip and Dale have made several other ingenious functions:
Warp - A Warp Gummi in the phone is hooked up to a tiny Star Shard, which allows him to use the phone to travel to different locations, but only if he has the location downloaded onto his contacts, either by given co-ordinates or by travelling to that world. However, it takes up a lot of power, and he has to charge it for several hours if he wishes to use it again (i.e. keep smiling for absolutely ages). Currently, he only has Disney Castle saved onto it.
Contact - The Gummi Phone is also able to contact anyone with access to some form of communication-receiving device, even across other worlds, as long as the co-ordinates of the said device are in the contacts list.
In addition to the Gummi Phone, Chip and Dale have supplied the following accessory units:
Charm - A feature inspired from the keychain concept, Chip and Dale inserted a detection system where if a charm from a certain world is attached to the end of the phone charm chain dangling off the phone, the gummi phone will pick up its attributes and change its style to coincide with the world the charm is from, making it less conspicuous while also unlocking new features and applications useful for the world the charm originates from (e.g. a charm from Agrabah might unlock a feature predicting sandstorms, while a charm from Atlantica might unlock a barometer). Novi currently only owns the default 'Chronicler' charm.
G-Driver - An inter-world gummi link driver system where if there is a specific record of an ally's techniques/powers in the G-Driver memory bank, then Novi is able to activate various 'drives' that emulate that power and apply them to an ally. This can be used only once per page, and lasts for a maximum of 3 of the ally's posts. Currently, the only drive saved on the driver is his own, 'Strobe Drive'.
- Phone Charms - The phone charms currently in Novi's possession are: 'Chronicler' - unlocks basic functions of the Gummi Phone, form changes into that of the basic Gummi Phone. Shaped like a silver letter 'C' which encases a Hidden Mickey, the emblem of Disney Castle and the Royal Chroniclers.
- G-Driver Data - The owners of the data currently stored in the G-Driver are: Novi - 'Strobe Drive' - utilises his light-based magic to charge allies' weapons with light, giving them greater range and power, as well as elemental damage against dark-based creatures.

Appearance: Novi's deep auburn hair is a messy plethora of spikes and curls, usually tumbling down over his eyes in an untidy fringe. His modest frame belies his athletic ability, although it doesn't stop people for making fun of his size (he's called huge by the small-sized chroniclers and short by his more human-sized companions). His hazel-brown eyes are sharp, bright and rarely stays still in one place, always moving about rapidly to take in as much information as possible. He is usually seen with a confident grin, wide enough to show his incisors but modest enough for people take him seriously. The letters 'NOVI' are printed in small letters on his left shoulder.
His tousled hair is covered by a over-sized puffy white beret vaguely shaped like a heart and fashioned with a brass buckle above the start of the cap-like rim. Around his neck he wears a loose grey cravat with navy lining that hangs low over his chest. He wears a blue tartan shirt with sleeves that are usually rolled up. Over this he wears a white sleeveless black-collared waistcoat with two ends of an unfastened buckle and strap hanging on either side of his collar and a pair of chains hanging from the pockets on either side of his chest. On his hands he wears the traditional white Disney gloves, except with the fingers removed so that he can type with greater dexterity. He wears a pair of very wide, baggy shorts which are predominantly grey, but composed of sections of black, white and various shades in between, with a band of blue near the end of the legs and held up by a black belt with a buckle shaped like the Hidden Mickey insignia. The ends of the trousers are rolled up and fastened by a set of crossed-over navy bands. Hanging off his waist are a pair of black braces, and across the front of his lower torso he wears a beige-coloured munny belt adapted to carry his Gummi Phone as well as other items. On his feet he wears a pair of dark blue sneakers in the traditional chunky design of the residents of Disney Town, fastened by a collection of buckles and tightened by a set of laces at the ankles.
Personality: A confident and upright youth, Novi's optimism stems from the apparent naivety of his youth and his steadfast faith in his abilities. While acknowledging that he is but no means the strongest nor the most suited for the job, he is intent on throwing himself at the role of a chronicler with all he has. Someone who loves what he does, he is enthusiastic and curious about anything new, and is driven by a chronicler's natural urge to discover and unravel - puzzles, mind-games and codes are things which he finds as challenges he lives for. Perhaps due to the extensive skills which he invested much of his time in so that he could match up to and surpass the other chroniclers, he hates being babied and sheltered, and would rather strive for a chance to prove himself to both his peers and superiors.
His self-assuredness is tempered with a competitiveness that leads him to do reckless things - since he was often seen as the 'odd one out' amongst the Chroniclers and in Disney Castle in general for being a human amongst a whole world of anthropomorphic animals, he strives for recognition of some sort, which consequently results him in taking risks to garner results that will allow him to be acknowledged. It is partly because of this recklessness that prevents him from being allowed out on more missions - no matter how effective he may be, his sometimes impulsive tendencies are a cause for more concern that it is worth.
Although often teased and somewhat distanced due to his being a human, Novi is nevertheless easily able to surround himself with friends. As someone whose main occupation is to accompany others on their travels, he never misses a chance to make a companion of them as opposed to treating the entire experience as a job. Considering how infrequently he is allowed to leave the castle, he revels in being able to share in such a precious experience in someone else, and his intelligent, insightful nature attracts even the most pragmatic of the Disney scholars while his outgoing, active personality tends to draw all others to him. He is in turn fiercely loyal to them, and would be the first to rush to their defence in the occasion they are faced with
Original World: Unknown Current Residing World: Disney Castle History/Background:
Novi appeared in Disney Town in the midst of a rain of peculiar multi-coloured blocks at the age of four, with no memory of his previous world. Neither was there anything on his person that would allow his identification, except for a scrunched-up page that looked as if it had been taken from a printer. With no explanation of how he had managed to appear in Disney Town and no way of knowing who he was and where he was from, the residents of the town somewhat helplessly decided to take him in until he was old enough to decide what to do with himself and his unique situation. He was given the name 'Novi', from the letters they found inscribed on his shoulder.
He was raised in an ice-cream parlour for two years, where one day he was visited by a royal chronicler from the castle. After noticing how quickly Novi was able to take in and memorise the orders from the numerous customers during the afternoon rush, the chronicler suggested that he be signed up for a set of examinations that would upon passing enable him to take up the role of a chronicler-in-training, and allow him to live at the castle. He passed with flying colours, and despite the irregularity of his size compared to the other apprentices, he was accepted into Disney Castle as a prospective chronicler.
Novi’s time at Disney Castle was pleasant, but not without difficulties - he discovered that the other apprentices were usually insects or mice (for travel convenience), therefore making Novi the largest apprentice. Because of this, his peers would often make fun of his size, and the awkwardness caused by taking classes and practising with creatures far smaller than himself. However, this made him strive even harder to prove that he could overcome the limitations of his size, and always requested the most dangerous and physically exerting training missions. He also trained as often as possible with the Disney Knights, practising moving in and out of combat easily while defending, dodging and constantly recording, as well as with the Disney Castle mages, focusing on defensive and support magic, which would allow him to both defend himself while being an asset to whoever he was tailing on his mission.
While his physical training did contribute to his ability to somewhat overcome the limits of his size, his academic studies suffered as a result - Novi simply wasn't that interested in copying out half-baked histories and cataloguing dusty old tomes. He was a slow and messy writer, and thought that paper was outdated anyway. Instead, he dedicated himself to exploring what he believed to be the next step in chronicling - computer technology. Spending as much time as his schedule allowed with the engineers of Disney Castle, he learned as much as he could about the various machinery and technology which they used in the upkeep of the virtual archives and gummi ship maintenance. Through the time he spent amongst the bustle and buzz of the Disney engineers, he was able by the end of his fifteenth year to freely manipulate the computers that ran Disney Castle as well as a fundamental understanding of Gummi Ship construction, although he was not nearly at the same level as Chip and Dale. He did, however, succeed in beating their typing speed record - that particular record has remained unbroken to this day.
During his stay at Disney Castle, there were inevitably visitors to the world - since Disney Castle was so renowned for being the home of King Mickey and the Cornerstone of Light, it was not uncommon to see otherworldly travellers coming to the Castle. Among these was a young boy around his age, who claimed to be from a world called ‘Destiny Islands’. Delighted with being able to meet a visitor his own age, Novi quickly warmed to the newcomer, called ‘Tidus’. When he discovered that Tidus was capable of combat, he proposed an idea - if Tidus was to be his escort on missions, then it would mean that Novi would be able to travel around worlds freely to write in his journal, while Tidus would be able to search for his friends on their inter-worldly travels. Through working together as combat partners, they could both become stronger and it would be a beneficial partnership for the both of them. And thus, Tidus and Novi began their journeys together as a Disney Knight accompanying a Royal Chronicler on various missions throughout the worlds - sometimes Disney Knight-based assignments to destroy Heartless, others to investigate various rumours or disturbances, or even simply to assuage their own curiosities. However, despite their efforts, they could never find Destiny Islands again on their travels.
Roughly a year after Tidus appeared in Disney Castle, Novi heard news from the Queen that the legendary Keyblade Master had unlocked Kingdom Hearts and returned all the worlds that had been taken from the darkness and back into their rightful places in the universe. Upon hearing this, Novi knew that Tidus would be without a doubt be looking to return to his home to make sure that all his friends and family were safe. Somewhat regretfully letting go of his only friend, Novi promised to see him again someday, and watched him leave Disney Castle. However, now his desire to leave the Castle to travel on his own was stronger than ever. He personally requested permission to leave the world in order to travel through space and learn about everything the world had to offer - all its secrets, its hidden treasures and undiscovered wonders. Novi decided that more than anything, he wanted to discover where he had come from, what the letters on his shoulder meant, and why he had been discovered in Disney Castle when there were so many other worlds he could have landed in - such as the worlds in-between, which was the usual landing spot for those whose worlds had been destroyed. The fact that he had been found in Disney Town meant that his world could still be out there somewhere, still intact, still undiscovered. He needed to find out, and discover who he really was.
And so, Novi began his journey as a Chronicler, armed only with the very special gift of a gummi phone given to him by the Disney engineers Chip and Dale, to find himself and everything else there was to know about... well, everything.

I only see one problem, and that he has a couple too many spells for a chronicler. Jiminy had a grand total of none, but I believe Novi can be an exception. Nerf one or two of his spells or make him learn them later, and you'll be fine.
Thanks - Mini and Sleep removed from Magic list. I wasn't entirely sure if you could have meant 'technique' when you said 'magic' so I just removed those two^^
As your character is only sixteen, I ask that a few of your abilities (such as Time Splicer and Redemption) include some added limitations/drawbacks, such as only a certain amount of casts per thread, a cool-down time, a limited range, a weakness for a certain type of magic, a drain on Novi's own energy, temporary other drawback to Novi himself, ect. As a whole you have very few, considering the amount of spells and techniques he has learned from his studies at Disney Castle. Effect Barrier would likely have the same issue as Time Splicer/Stop, in that the stronger the attack, the less effect it would have.
As a side note, the alternate form for worlds such as Atlantica, the Pride Lands, Halloween Town, ect. is an automatic transformation upon entering the world. The worlds' magic makes no other device necessary for the change to occur. ;]
Also, the comment about some of the other apprentices being insects confused me a bit, for the native residents of Disney Castle are anthropomorphic mammals/birds. (Dogs, cows, ducks, hens, mice - only exception I can think of is Jiminy Cricket, though he is not originally from Timeless River.) Was the school or class itself simply exclusive to those species, many of which are from families originally foreign to Disney Castle? 0.o
A few minor edits and you should be fine. I’m assuming you already got permission for the later half of your history. ^^
Edits made: - Time Splicer - 1 use per page, no magic for 1 post - Redemption - no magic for 3 posts without cancelling - Effect Barrier - chances of magic lessened for strength of attack - Template - removed, as well as reference to shapeshifting in Magic
Following Jiminy Cricket, I made the assumption that Chroniclers are usually of small size, so that they can travel without inconveniencing their companions. I was thinking of Timothy in Dumbo, Remy in Ratatouille, etc. So not necessarily all insects, but you know, small anthropomorphic creatures who are travel-size for his convenience ^^
