Name: Laciel Kaihlr Acyllfa
Nickname: Laciel or Kaihlr. She does not want anyone to call her by the term of endearment her master has coined: Kaihly or worse, Lacy.
Age: She appears to be 21 but in truth she is 101 years old.
Gender: Female
Species: Immortal Human. She is immortal in a sense that she does not age but she may die during battle. The gods of her world made her an ageless being.
Position: Neutral (as of now). She will side with those whom she believes would be able to aid her homeworld.
Powers: Pheonix Familiar
Her constant companion is a phoenix named Horus. In it’s contained form, despite being weakened, the phoenix is still able to fight and hold it’s own in battle. It’s sharp claws are capable of tearing through human flesh and is more than capable of cutting through armor. It is able to breath flames that cannot be put out easily. It is able to carry loads a hundred times its weight. It can also teleport from one world to another. It serves as Laciel’s mode of transportation across the worlds. With Goddess Order neither being affiliated with light or darkness, Laciel is able to traverse between realms safely.
Her familiar is also capable of producing phoenix tears. It is a great asset to Laciel as she is able to tend to her wounds. She is only able to call upon such a miraculous substance during the height of noon, where her familiar is most powerful. She never stores the phoenix tears in containers because aside from curing, it has several properties that are desirable by those of ill intentions. It was never wise to risk it. She could use potions to get her through until noon, as long as she wasn’t hurt by fatal poison.
Being in contract with a Pheonix faimilar has its other benefits. Phoenix attributes such as enhanced eyesight and flight can be shared with its master. With phoenix vision, she is able to use its enhanced eyesight to seek enemies from afar and improve her aim dramatically. This enhanced eyesight could not be used for prolonged periods because it could damage one’s eyesight. Laciel is also able to sprout phoenix wings behind her back and fly. This is a merging of master and familiar on a lower level. The transformation occurs in a ball of flame. Once the flames dies down phoenix wings that span about 10 feet across can be seen attached to Laciel’s back.
Phoenix Flames
With her contract with her familiar, she is able to summon phoenix flames and bend them to her will. She is able to breath life into them and change them into various forms with a somewhat sentient existence. The strength and form of these flames are of course dependent on Laciel’s own magical reserves. The flame’s forms can range from projectiles to sentient animals. Imagination is the limit here but these flames aren’t to be created haphazardly. She needs to concentrate on the form and matter of each creation. Fire is a deadly weapon to wield and when mistreated, can turn on its wielder. Phoenix Flames are especially volatile. If they deem their wielder unworthy of its power, it may turn on them and devour them from the inside out. Of course, with phoenix fire being the purest and strongest of all fires, she is able to summon lower level fires such as mundane fires (basic fires that most humans use) and demon fires (stronger fires that are usually used by creatures who are chaotic in nature).
*Inanimate flames (lasts for one user post, cool down is one post)
*Animated flames (lasts for 3 user posts, she can only call on a maximum of 3 animals at a time, once limit is reached cool down is three posts)
Invoking the will of the phoenix
The song of the phoenix is capable of strengthening Laciel and her allies during battle. It is a song that touches the soul. It has been said that such songs are capable of doubling the strength of those who hear it. Those who are touched by the song also find themselves more courageous in the face of danger. Such ancient magic is powerful and can only be used sparingly.

Forging from the Flames
With the aid of phoenix flames and her ability to bend it to her will, she is able to change the form of her primary weapon, an adamantine sabre with a golden guard. She is able to change her weapon to any object as long as she could focus on the object’s structure with her mind’s eye. She must be able to understand every aspect of the object in order to do this. She cannot simply recreate an object she had only seen once. To achieve in changing the form of her weapon she has to be familiar with the form she is changing it into. To achieve such a formality, she creates these weapons from scratch. This is one of the activities that enable her to understand properties such as elasticity, malleability and strength of each weapon. Creating weapons is a fine art and in no way can be rushed. In changing the form of her weapon, she has to concentrate, therefore leaving her open for attack for a few seconds. Thankfully, her phoenix familiar is ready to defend her during this window of opportunity.
*(changing weapon form lasts two user posts, no limit to how many times she does this)
Basic Elemental Magic
Despite being a specialist in Fire magic she is able to do other branches as well. She is familiar with basic elemental magic such as water, earth, wind and thunder. “It is always good to be well rounded”, her master had told her. She does not have the same level of control with these other elements but she is competent enough.
*(Magic lasts for one user post, cool down is one post per form of magic)
Barrier Magic
Being employed as the guardian of the gates of the gods she is well versed in the arts of barrier magic. It is similar to creating armor. Each section must be created with the area to be protected in mind. She weaves her own magical energy like thread to form an armor of sorts, an invisible shield that can have various aspects depending on its form. It can be an elastic shield or a shield that is hard as diamond. The creation of shields comes naturally to her, after 80 years of studying the art. With runes drawn by phoenix flame, she is able to strengthen her barriers further. Barriers steadily deplete her magical reserves. The stronger her barrier, the faster it depletes her magical reserves. She prefers on finding other power sources, like crystals, to power her barriers. Crystals can store power. She usually stores energy in the crystal tied to her left arm. She makes it a point to store energy into it each day. “It never hurts to be prepared”, her master had always told her. This transference of energy from a different energy source to fuel one’s magic is pretty advanced magic. The natural instinct is to tap into your own magical reserves, but Laciel learned the hard way. There is a heavy price you pay when you deplete too much of your own power.
*Minor barrier (lasts for one user post, cool down 3 posts)
*Major battier (can last for three user posts depending on power supply, cool down 5 posts)
Agility
Her agility can be likened to that of a bird in flight. Wielding a heavy weapon forced her to hone human muscles to cope with the strain. The result? A faster than your average human warrior.
Summon Horus, the fire deity.
By creating a magical circle entirely out of phoenix flames, she is able to summon the true form of her familiar, a young man with shoulder length flaming red hair whose eyes are of different color. His left eye is silver, while the right is golden. His weapon of choice is a sword made entirely of flames. Horus is capable of performing strong feats of magic with the fire under his command. In its released form, Horus derives power from his own magical reserves and Laciel’s. Such a strong being requires an anchor to stay in the physical world. Despite having a strong ally by her side, there is a trade off. A sympathetic bond occurs between the two when he is in his released form. When Horus is injured, Laciel becomes injured as well. Horus could never die, and therefore fatal wounds on Horus could not kill Laciel, but it would weaken her severely.
*(Summoning period about three user posts, once summoned can stay for about 7 user posts, depending on conditions such as Laciel’s own power reserves and whether or not it is too risky)
Fire Maelstrom
This is her most powerful attack. By summoning the true form of her familiar and by fusing her body with his, they are able to combine their powers and unleash a maelstrom of fire unto their opponents. Laciel sprouts golden phoenix wings behind her back. Her eyes change in color, one golden, the other silver. A golden magical staff appears out of nowhere. This magical staff enables her to call upon the true power of fire without restraint. Fire is such a volatile and unpredictable substance. Calling upon 100% of its power is never advisable. Restraint is always practiced when handling this element. In this form she is able to wield fire without worrying about the constraints and risks. Using this Fire Maelstrom is often a last resort. After an explosion of such power, it leaves her in a weakened state. Her phoenix familiar returns to its contained form and dies in a burst of flame, though from the ashes rises the reborn phoenix. Both master and familiar are unable to fight after such a move and this would be used as a last result, if the situation is dire enough…
*(Can only be used once in a thread and will be incapacitated for the rest of the thread)
Weapon:She is the warrior Fallacy. She was named as such for her prowess with multiple weapons. She is familiar with the make-up and basics of various weapons as she grew up under the care of a Blacksmith. (before her New Life) In its sealed form, her weapon is a simple circular pendant around her neck.
Her preferred weapons are:
Sabre- This is her primary weapon, a sabre made from adamantine with a golden guard. Looking at the guard closer, you see it is like golden vines intertwined with each other. To the untrained eye they would seem like random squiggles but the squiggles are in fact rune of power to boost the strength of the weapon. She was taught the fine art of fencing by the gods in which she was employed under. “This is the fighting style of the upper echelons of society and it would not do for the guardian of the gates to be seen with anything less.” Her master had told her. She uses her sabre for close combat. In battles that require tactical maneuvers, she prefers to use her sabre. It can be described as an extension of her. Similar to producing barriers, parrying, thrusting and slashing with this weapon is second nature. She has been with this weapon for so long, she has yet to find her match. (Aside from her master of course). Despite being thin and light in appearance it is actually very heavy and compact. In making other weapons, matter is as important as the form it will take. Laciel can’t make a weapon out of nothing. Enough base materials must be present for her to create the weapon. It is an equivalent exchange of sorts.
Bow and Arrow- This was her preferred weapon before her New Life. She was quite an adept hunter. She could survive in the wilderness for days, preying on the small game and living on the natural resources of the forest. Being an alternate form of her sabre weapon, the bow is made of adamantine. Ornate patterns of gold can be around the the bow, runes of power circle around it. The arrows, she produces out of her own flames. As adamantine is a rare material, she seldom uses it to make arrows, unless the situation requires it. Instead, she creates fire arrows. She uses her bow and arrow for long distance combat and for multiple enemies.
Warhammer- She seldom uses this alternate form but when something with more raw power is needed she creates this weapon. The head and handle of the warhammer are made of adamantine. The golden runes can be seen on the head of the hammer, concentrating all power on the point of contact with the target. As with a more powerful attack, using the warhammer drains Laciel faster, both physically and magically.
Weapons she desires to have
Keyblade- This is the legendary keyblade that have chosen only a select few. Before leaving her world, her master told her about the defenders of light and their keyblades that opened the hearts of men and of worlds. “You must prove yourself worthy in order for you to be able to wield an object of such greatness.” In her quest for truth, she was determined to do just that.
Picture:Appearance: Laciel is about 5 feet and 4 inches in height. She has long bright red hair with bangs and blue eyes that are as blue as the skies above. Her hair reaches her waist but she usually keeps it in a ponytail using a ribbon. Laciel usually wears minimal clothing for combat. She does not like her movements to get restrained. She wears a blue sleeveless tie on top and brown shorts. She wears a belt around her waist where she keeps her battle essentials: potions, elixirs and bandages. A cloth is attached to the belt that goes down until her feet. It gives a semblance of a long skirt when seen from behind. All the cloth used for her clothing is made of a rare fabric that ensures the proper flow of energy. Some clothing items such as leather are known for interfering with erergy flow. Laciel’s clothing, when given the command, is charmed to be self-mending. Despite her talent in crafting weapons, she’s rubbish at mending clothes. She wears brown dragonhide gloves on her hands. For footwear, Laciel prefers combat boots as they are sturdy and ideal for battle. Her boots are made out of dragonhide as well. Dragonhide is also good conductor of energy.
Behind her back, an array of runes can be seen. These range from runes of power to runes of protection and healing. These runes form a peculiar pattern, which greatly resemble phoenix wings.
A bandage can be seen on her upper right arm. It hides a scar that she obtained before her New Life.
Personality: Laciel believes strongly in order and equality. This sense of justice has always driven her to succeed and do great feats. But it has also caused her to get into things way beyond her own capacities. She is strong willed and determined. In more than one occasion she had come so close to death due to her own stubbornness. Laciel is a good fighter, her tactical maneuvers and prowess with her weaponry are often unmatched but it is her desire for justice that gets her into trouble. Her rational judgment is affected when other people are involved. Being a guard, she often places the safety of others above her own. In a way, this headstrong view of battles pushed her to train harder. She hated feeling helpless and unable to do her keep. She made sure that she was strong enough and capable of helping others.
Years and years of battling has honed her into the warrior she is today. She is calm when faced with enemies. She is the type of warrior to observe her opponent and find their weakness before attacking. She is the type of person to plan before going into battle, making sure that supplies and weapons are in order. Yes she is quite stubborn and headstrong when it comes to certain things, but she is not stupid.
What peeves her the most are people who settle for mediocrity, for she sees her own helplessness in them. Her own inability to act.
At first glance, Laciel may appear cool and distant. She often prefers to be alone, left to her own thoughts. She fears to be attached to someone and then loose them due to her own weaknesses. She does not admit it to herself but she has quite an attachment to her mentor and best friend, Li. Once you get to know her though, you will see that Laciel is an insecure woman, a woman afraid of her own weaknesses, and a woman seeking the comfort and consolation of friends. Laciel may be good in the battlefield but she finds it difficult to associate with people. In her years of battling she had never found the time to simply socialize and act in a mundane way. She never thought such trivial actions were worth her time. This often gets her into conflicts because she can be a bit blunt and brutally honest at times.
Laciel loves to read and is seeker of knowledge. She is also a fan of the arts. Her stay with the gods has cultured her so. Drawing is a meditative practice that she does before and after battles. It is a way for her to control her own emotions. A turmoil of emotions often meant hesitance in the battlefield. This momentary hesitance may lead to death.
Original World: Mundus Deus
Current World: Traverse Town
History:Mundus Deus is divided into four lands. Various deities watch over four lands. In the land of fire, Horus rules.
Mortal Life
Laciel was once a mortal named Selena
As Selena, she couldn’t remember her real parents or her previous family prior to meeting Amos, her stepfather. Amos was the local blacksmith of the Village Swann. His reputation is known throughout the entire land. He stumbled upon Selena on his way to collect wares for weapon making. He found her in cave which the locals called the domain of Horus. She was in a burnt basket, clutching a golden egg in her tiny, 5 year old hands. The only evidence of Selena’s previous home was the golden necklace found on her neck with the words Selena. The villagers suspected that she belonged to the village of Suzako, which was wiped out by some unknown creature.
Selena did not have memories prior to being adopted by Amos. The priestess said that her memories had been taken away from her. Probably by what had attacked her village.
Amos raised Selena as his own, both as apprentice and daughter. Amos talents with the hammer were unmatched. He passed his knowledge in weapon making to Selena.
16 years passed and Selena became a competent blacksmith and warrior. She knew the basics to almost any weapon. She specialized with the use of the bow and arrow.
On the day of her 21st birthday, disaster struck the village of Swann. A monster that wielded so much power, the likes of which no one has ever seen before, attacked the village of Swann.
Selena could remember that day vividly:
Her village was attacked. She could do nothing to save her friends, do nothing to save the one she called father. A monster that wielded so much power, the likes of which no one has ever seen before. The power was intoxicating, like it poisoned her from inside… It was darkness… In its purest form. She felt something inside her. She didn’t know why but something was telling her that she had seen and felt this darkness before. Something was telling her she should fear it.
A four-legged beast emerged from the darkness that suddenly popped into existence in the middle of the village. It was a being made of darkness. Its yellow eyes focused on its surroundings, as if taking them in. Swann, wasn’t a weak village. Some of the best fighters of the land could be found there, but they stood no chance against the beast. No weapon worked on it.
Amos was firing at it with everything he’s got. The four-legged beast charged towards him. Selena threw down her bow quiver of arrows and rushed towards him. She placed herself between the beast and her father. The beast clamped into her arm and threw her aside like a rag doll. Before she lost consciousness she felt the golden egg she kept in her back pocket heat up.
When she awoke, she was staring at a man with messy blonde hair and blue eyes, which were as dark as sapphires. A small phoenix landed beside her, its soft melodic trill soothing her ailing heart.
The man introduced himself as Li. He told Selena that the Gods had chosen her. The local deity of the land, Horus, had granted her protection. Only with Horus’s magic can a Phoenix be born.
“This mythical creature has made a contract with you. Phoenixes are extremely powerful creatures and maybe someday you may even awaken its true form.” The man had saidNew Life
She was presented to the Goddesses Order and Chaos. The Goddess Order adopted her as one of her own because of her strong sense of duty. She was reborn as Laciel Kaihlr Acyllfa, as the warrior of Fallacy, the warrior of deception. At the age of 21, she was granted immortality. As a servant of order she became the never aging warrior Acyllfa tasked to Guard the entrance to the gates of the Goddesses.
Laciel’s fallacious nature for which she was named, manifests itself in her fighting. She is a master of many weapons, though she prefers the use of three: the bow and arrow, war hammer and sabre, for which she was most famous. Her master Li trained her in the ways of the warrior for years. As the first line of defense of the realm of the gods, she had to be one of the best. Her reputation became known throughout the land, and many challenged her. She was rarely defeated, and when she was it was against a worthier and stronger opponent who deserved an audience with the gods.
In her training Laciel learned how to wield magic. She specialized in barrier magic and fire magic. During this time, she also trained with her Phoenix Familiar. Phoenixes are extremely powerful creatures of fire. Through various battles in her years of service to the gods she was able to awaken the true form of her Phoenix familiar, Horus the fire deity. It is through her connection with the deity that she is able to wield fire so well.
Despite being given this second chance, Laciel had always wanted to know about her past. All she knew was that the same creatures that attacked her second home, also attacked the village in which she had come from. It was 100 years later that those creatures were seen again. They attacked both the mortal realm and the realm of the Gods. This time, they came in greater forces and were more hostile. Both god and mortal warriors were able to keep the creatures at bay but many lives were lost in the process.
She had sought answers from the gods, why her village was annihilated, why those creatures had attacked their home world. The gods believed that her missing memories hold the key.
There have been hearsay of some organization who is capable of manipulating memories. Laciel is unsure whether or not this organization was involved in any way on the attack of her village and home world but that is what she is going to find out. There have also been whispers of warriors who wielded weapons that were capable of easily vanquishing these creatures. Laciel had also set out in search of such warriors.
Role Playing Sample: A ball of flame emerged out of nowhere, simply popping into existence. Anyone looking at it would immediately look away for fear of being blinded. Its brightness can be likened to that of the sun, intense and piercing. As fast as it appeared, it vanished again. Amidst the ashes was a girl with fiery red hair and sky blue eyes. On her shoulders, a phoenix perched. Its melodious tunes filled the air.
Laciel looked around, she knew she was in a completely different world now. Various brink townhouses were strewn about. She found herself in the center of what appeared to be a town square. Behind her, a large door could be seen with the name District 1. Immediately though, she realized something was wrong. There were no people out and about and it was unusually eerie.
Suddenly her shadow came to life before her eyes. A beast of colossal size emerged, a gaping heart shaped hole could be seen in its chest. Its eyes, poisonous yellow, were staring at her with a want that could only mean one thing. This thing wanted to kill her and bad.
Laciel ripped her medallion from her neck. For a second it was enveloped in red flames then suddenly an adamantine sabre with a golden guard was in her hands. With a whistle, her Phoenix familiar enveloped her in flames. When she emerged, phoenix wings had sprouted from her back.
She launched into the sky and came level with the creature’s head. It swiped at her, narrowly missing her leg. She surged forward like a hawk on its prey. She slashed once, twice, thrice. It seemed to have no effect on the creature. In fact, it only riled it up. The black mass swiped at her continuously. It managed to wound her chest.
Laciel tried a different tactic and headed towards the ground. Gathering up her magic, she summoned three beasts made up of fire, a griffin, a panther and a boar. Roars and screeches filled the air as they attacked as one unit. Laciel was a master of fire, bending animated creatures born of fire was second nature to her. Fire was not forgiving. If she lost control for one second, the fire creatures could easily turn on her.
The creatures own attacks weakened significantly. Deciding to bombard the creature with more fire attacks Laciel hung back. Fire consumed her weapon again. With careful concentration Laciel changed the form of her sabre. Thinking of its structure, its malleability and strength. The fire abated and a silver bow was in her hands. She held the bow steady with her left arm, extending it in front of her. With her right arm, she conjured arrows made completely out of flames. With the bow drawn and the arrow set, she fired the first shot. Shot after shot she fired at the creature, while her fire creations attacked.
The creature seemed to weaken but then it thrust its hand into the ground. An explosion of darkness swept Laciel off her feet. Her fire creatures were in the immediate perimeter of the explosion and disintegrated in an instant.
A moment before impact, Laciel conjured a barrier to cushion her fall. Laciel got to her feet and launched into the air once again. Small creatures of darkness were emerging from the dark vortex that appeared during the explosion. Laciel conjured fire spears, which floated around her. She directed them at the small creatures, vanquishing them in an instant. She turned her attention to the massive creature before her.
She needed to bind this creatureLaciel then conjured up ropes made up of flames and bound the creature’s extremities. The wound on her chest began to throb, darkness was seeping into her system.
She needed to finish this quick She fired arrow, after arrow at the creature, not pausing for even a breath. Then, she molded her weapon back to her sabre and delivered the final attack on the creature. The creature was gone before Laciel’s feet had touched the ground. Her knees buckled and she clutched at her chest. In a flash of light, the phoenix wings had gone, and in its stead was her phoenix familiar, singing it soothing song of comfort. It was far from noon and her familiar couldn’t produce its healing tears.
She ripped her shirt and grabbed some potion and bandage from her pack. Downing the potion, she proceeded to wrap the wound. Her breathing was a bit haggard but she knew she would survive.
This was nothing.Leaning against a corer, she paused and looked up at the stars above her. They twinkled merrily in the night sky as if the darkness wasn’t slowly creeping in to these worlds. As if nothing was wrong and everything was right in the world.
Laciel longed to be back in he home world but she knew she had a long way to go before she could go back. She picked up her bow that she had discarded in the rush to clean her wounds. It was once again enveloped in flames. When the flames subsided a tiny silver medallion was in her hand. She replaced the medallion back on her neck and walked towards the row of houses ahead to search for her quarry.
