Lux Aeterna (R. for a D. Remixed)Name: Curran Ros'arral Drace ((ker-ANN))
Nickname: Curran
Age: 11, almost 12
Gender: Female
Species: Magical Human
Position: Neutral
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Hyalokinesis: Curran's holds domain over the element of Glass. She can, at present, control granules of it as a sand of sorts. She can also temporarily melt it, then solidify it. The glass created in this fashion oft is quite tempered, and is outmatched only by steel.
-Extract: By drawing silicon out from the ground and oxygen from the air, she can make glass sand. This is done via concentration, with a 1 post cooldown. (She can only take it out of the ground. This softens it, but otherwise doesn't disturb it.)
-Transparent Sands: A passive ability. Curran can manipulate light by refracting it through glass. This can be used to make the sand or things coated in it invisible, with a 2-post cooldown.
-Glistening Glide: She can move quickly on the glass sand beneath her feet. Developed from having to escape on several occasions.
5 Battle Experiences - Upgrade to Midair.\Drawback/
Inexperienced: Though she possesses these powers, she is... less than learned in the ways of combat. She often will often use her powers to block attacks instead of reacting offensively. It is near certain that she will never go for a preemptive strike.
Weapon/Items: Glass: It is usually in the form of transparent white sand. The sands deal blunt-force or abrasive damage. Her often-used shields, whether of compacted sand or solid glass, can hold up to most physical attacks and weak spells, but is weak to Fire.
~She carries a Mega-Potion, Hi-Potion, or both, whatever she can afford at the time; she always makes sure to have one.
Picture: Un et
Deux~
Appearance: A girl with a small build to match her timidity. On some of her more fortunate spells, she'll wear a nice mantle-like garment that's a little frilly, along with a bonnet, if she's feeling dainty enough. The mantle goes down to just below her elbows, and has a collar; it is held tight by a ribbon. On a not-so-good day, she'll wear a simple shirt and pants, not the dressiest. Testament to her reclusive-ness is a shawl-like garment that she wears for protection, warmth, and concealment.
She's a normal 11-going-on-12-year old, as she likes her brown hair long; it, however, often gets in her face, almost as a curtain (not that she minds). She's around 4'9", a little shorter, and weighs 95lb; she's very often pushed around easily.
Personality: She's probably the shyest girl you'll ever chance to meet. She has grown withdrawn over the years, but she's trying to convince herself that not all places are like where she once lived, and so is opening up to others more. However, old habits are hard to break, and she often shies away at sudden movements, and sometimes stutters timidly. By herself, others who have seen her report her as serene and calm; she often takes comfort in no one being around.
When presented with a fight, she'll often either run or decline. She's quite difficult to persuade, as she was raised in a quite strict environment. By the same cause, she is extremely respectful, even submissive to those she knows well to be authority figures. Even to those close to her, she will refer to others as 'mister', 'sir', 'miss', or 'm'am'. It's not often that she goes out for anything more than necessity, and so is the polar opposite of 'outgoing'. Below that, a lump of pure sugar awaits those who earn trust & are nice also. She often cares more for others' well-being than her own, being too preoccupied with others' wiles to recall her own worries.
Original World: Perthanates
Current World: Hitchhiker
History: Perthanates was a relatively peaceful world. That is, relative to those taken over by Heartless or such. It was ruled by those born to well-off families. The ruled, they were, in an almost self-explanatory way, much poorer than those above them on the social ladder.
Now, Curran was born to a family that had managed to climb a rung or two. However, in her society, the only way to move up was by being the lapdog of another wealthier than you. This was generally frowned upon in their world. As such, she was generally hated by those she knew she should have had much in common with. It wasn't like she was living in luxury; she and her parents had what most outsiders would consider to be standard. It was revolting how many people were forced to live in the slums; her parents, however, believed that they couldn't give other people what they had, that there wasn't enough.
Which was totally true.
Not to far from her ninth birthday, she began to feel some resentment. A little at her parents for doing what they had, more so at the masses who detested and reviled her so. What she was really angry at was herself. She couldn't convince her parents, she couldn't stop the large population from mocking and making fun. Most of all , though, she couldn't shrink the gap, or even stop it from widening. All that malice, and----
CRASH!
A rock- or that's what she thought it was - crashed through her window over to the other side of the room, followed by bottles and other such things. The first projectile then exploded. It wasn't enough to shatter the floor, but the blast sent Curran into the wall. Tired from such mistreatment, she summoned up all the resentment she had. Then, she turned the very shrapnel they used on her against them. However, this ensured her need for leave; three of her attackers were injured, one was heavily wounded.
It was a bad situation to be in, so she left as soon as she could. Any munny she saved up, she used to hitchhike on an unprecedented gummi ship, piloted by a strangely dressed person. This person was quite the enigma, but being a shy as she was, Curran decided not to inquire, for fear of deterrence. Partially, she just wanted to leave; however, a small corner of her mind wanted to broaden her horizons, see the world. Or, as she had just learned from the traveler, worlds. She left that place, never knowing, wanting to know or seeing it again. To some, it might seem good to save the only one you could. In others' eyes, the act may be selfish. Nevertheless, she did it, but not without regret. She so wished to bring her parents, but stealing away was impossible for all three of them. And so she left alone.
Living on one's own is tough, and so grew Curran, in a pinch. She learned the true extent of what she could do with those abilities she exhibited that night. Ever since, she's been working to see the worlds she has just learnt of.
