Name: Gig
Nickname: None
Age: Looks to be late teens, early 20's. Has lived for at least 400 years.
Gender: Male
Species: Thurin, Former Human
Position: Chaotic Evil
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: As the former Master of Death on Thurin, Gig did not exist within the cycle of rebirth there and was immortal though not invincible.
HaHaHa...: Gig cuts the air with The Onyx Blade sending a single, homing, black laser with a red outline at the opponent. Light dark damage per laser. No cooldown.
Just Do It!: Gig forms the scythe blade on The Onyx Blade and cuts into the ground, splitting the ground from where the blade landed and to 10 feet in front of it, forming a deep chasm. 3 post cooldown.
Feel My Power!: Gig releases uses his full power and fires off 12 homing black lasers with a red outline from The Onyx Blade one at a time but quickly, he then fires off 12 more at once which when they strike form a magnet spell in which the enemy can't move from. He then summons the scythe blade on his sword and rushes toward and cuts not their body but their soul, dealing a large amount of inner damage but no outward damage. Each black laser does a small amount of dark damage and the strike with the scythe blade does a large amount of dark damage. 10 post cooldown.
Denizen of the Dark: As a person on the side of darkness, Gig has a resistance to dark magic but is weaker to light magic.
Dark Corridors: Gig is capable of learning how to summon and navigate the Corridors of Darkness.
Weapon/Items: The Onyx Blade: Gig's only weapon is this long sword. As the name suggests, the blade is a dark black and is approximately four feet long, three inches wide, and about an inch thick. The Onyx Blade's guard is rather small and the left and right side stretch off to look similar to that of a three clawed hand. The handle is solid black like the blade and approximately 6 inches long. Gig may form a blood red scythe blade to the end of the sword, as it was his former method of reaping souls. The scythe blade is a foot in width at the base and is approximately a foot in length. He uses no sheath for The Onyx Blade as he is able to summon it and disperse it at will.
Picture: Appearance: Gig is approximately 5 foot 11 and weighs about 120 lbs, he is of an average build possessing little fat but little muscle. Gig appears rather young, and you would guess he was either a young adult or teenager. He has messy silvery gray hair that usually hangs over his right eye and hides his ears. His eyes are a dark shade blue with an inner circle of light blue around his black pupils. Underneath his eyes are two short blue stripes, two markings that all humans of Thurin possess. A permanent scowl is on his face and this rarely changes lest he's eating something he finds delicious or is destroying or killing something or someone.
He wears a sleeveless gray collared shirt that is similar to a button up shirt at the middle. Instead of buttons it is held together with white cloth in the shape of an X on the outside and loops in and out of the shirt forming four X's all together which end at near the middle of his chest. Above this point the shirt is held together like a normal shirt while the collar has two triangle cuts taken out of it along the front right and front left. At the bottom of the shirt a triangle is missing and it splits into two sides which at the end are tied up into two tassels.
On each of his wrists he wears two purple wristbands. They are wrapped tightly and are buckled around them and buttoned, with a fold along the outer side of them that sticks out. His pants are very plain with no unusual markings and are a blueish gray. For footwear he wears a pair of black dress shoes with a heel, giving his height an additional two inches.
Personality: Gig is in the purest sense of the word, a jerk. He dislikes almost everyone and thrives on the death and destruction of the people and things around him. He will insult and make fun of people at any moment, no matter how serious or relaxed the situation is. He doesn't give selflessly and will lie at the drop of a hat, either to mislead or just irritate someone. Despite this he loves delicious food and won't harbor too much ill will towards someone if they feed him.
Gig is also very arrogant, as he was one of the strongest Thurin's and held power over the death of others. He dislikes any mortal, seeing them as trash that is just living to die. This is due to the fact that once he had become Master of Death on his world he became immortal and no longer felt the ebb and flow of time aging his body. Even so, he doesn't favor immortals either as his hatred is primarily unbiased.
Gig is very selfish and finds nothing wrong with just taking what he wants, when he wants it. He does not like destruction and death out of trying to spread evil and darkness, but because it's what he finds to be 'fun'. That being said he is obviously no friend of the light and finds people who act heroic and unnecessarily compassionate to be fake. He believes their ideals to be stupid and will insult and berate them more than he would an average person.
Original World: Thurist
Current World: Radiant Garden
World History: The world of Thurist had existed for nearly 900 years and much had happened in this time. The first life forms were the original Thurin's, who called themselves the Sepp. They possessed amazing powers and were god like beings who lived in a city above the clouds, named Revya. They could create life and take it away, change the shape of land, create terrible disasters, and even revive those who had died. They were immortal and would remain as the world's protectors throughout the 700 years of it's existence. In the first 20 years they set up order and formed the land below into several landmasses. They created the laws of life and death and created what was called 'The Cycle of Rebirth'.
They chose an island like continent as the place to start the first civilizations which they would name Haephnes. They made several races, each spread out across this continent, the Humans, who spread out to many areas and created the first town's and city's. The Redflank, an anthropomorphic ox like race that possessed great strength and made their homes in the mountains. The Nereid, a species similar to humans but who possessed fish like traits and were a female only race that made the seas and lakes their home. There were the Cherubs, a petite angel like race that flew through the sky and migrated across the continent. The final race made were the Dracon. They were a long living race, easily capable of living 200 years and possessed branches on their head, similar to that of dragons. They chose the Mirage Desert as their home.
For 50 years, the civilizations advanced at their own pace and knew little of one another, content with advancing in their own way. It would only be a mere ten years later that the first war would begin. In these ten years humans had started to explore the continent and began building in other areas. The humans had formed a Monarchy and created a Council to help create and enforce laws in their capital and similar systems were set up in others. Soon after Humans made their first contact the Nereid's. The Humans thought of them as monsters and had managed to kill several before the rest had escaped. The Nereid's made their way back to their capital, and informed the queen. A retaliation was in order and a war soon broke out. This war would last 7 years before a truce was made, yet they still held each other in contempt. As the humans continued to expand they met the other races, and in some cases there was conflict but only light skirmishes were held as the Human's had yet to recover from the war with the Nereid's.
On the 200th year, alliances had been made between the nations, while other contempt for one another only grew. It was the age of iron, and blacksmithing was booming as not only the Human's but the Redflank had proved very capable as well. It was very easy to commit evil and atrocious acts as herbalist had created poisons that could be purchased. The Sepp who had not caused the world any trouble soon saw what was unfolding below. As honorable and virtuous people were slain by those with evil in their hearts they felt they needed to do something.
They chose one of the virtuous souls to become the answer so that they may not dirty their hands. The person chosen, was Gig. They gave him the title Master of Death and the power it held and The Onyx Blade, so that he may reap the souls of the wicked and restrict them from entering 'The Cycle of Rebirth'. Along with this he was given immortality so that he could continue being the reaper the world needed. When he had asked why they would give such a terrible fate to him, one who would not hurt a fly, they said it was because his compassion and kindness would allow him to judge those who were truly evil. Gig accepted his fate and became the Sepp's Master of Death, reaping the souls of those unworthy of continuing to exist in 'The Cycle of Rebirth'.
Terms'The Cycle of Rebirth': A system set in place by the Sepp that causes the souls of the departed to reincarnate into another. Those killed by The Master of Death are no longer allowed to continue to exist in the cycle.
'The Master of Death': One given power by the godlike Sepp to judge the souls of the dead and reap the souls of the vile.
Character History Gig was born to a human family within the city of Raide, the second largest city built by the humans and possessing a population of approximately 500. He was a very happy and caring child, never harming anyone and always showing respect to others. He made many friends and was very happy with his life. Many people liked him for his compassion and caring, which he kept throughout the 19 year of his mortal life.
At the age of 14 a disastrous plague spread through out the world. It was given the name, Scarlet Lago. It was highly contagious and the symptoms consisted of a general feeling of not feeling well and eventually a rash would spread it's way across the entire body. This wiped out a large portion of the people in Raide, including Gig's father and mother. He stayed with them in their final moments and promised to remain kind and compassionate until the day he died, as they were the morals he had learned from them. In the following days the disease had passed and Gig helped comfort those who had also lost their families in this trying time.
Five years passed and Gig had continued to keep the promise he had made. He was training under an herbalist to learn how to help those in pain. He had made significant progress in his practice but fate had chosen to deal him a different hand. The Sepp, the gods of his world, gave him the title and power of 'The Master of Death'. Once given this power he couldn't find it in himself to reap the terrible souls on the world. It was when the city of Raide was ransacked and destroyed by a large group of bandit's that he finally understood what he should do. He chased after them while the surviving citizens started to migrate to the next city.
It took him 2 days but time as time was no longer a factor it made little difference. The camp was significantly large but the numbers of an enemy force mattered little to him. He reaped and slaughtered everyone that he could while others fled, his vengeance for his home now complete. For the next 100 years, Gig would wander the continent, reaping the souls of the evil and giving penance to those who still held some purity, but never without leaving a warning that he would be back should they continue their evil ways.
In those 100 years, the world had begun to change again, the different species had come together, some still finding conflict while others had started to live with one another. Gig was happy with this, as less and less evil souls had started to pop up in this time of peace. This was short lived as in 10 years another war had started. This time it was the Redflanks and the Dracon, and Gig had become rather busy in this time as many more souls had started to become corrupt and evil in this time. The war lasted for 3 years with the result ending in the Redflanks victory. The Dracon were forced to surrender much of their land and they were left with few cities and little land to their name.
It was the 400th year of Thurin, and while there were occasional wars many had chosen peace over them and the people thrived and grew. In this time something had changed Gig though. He had begun to become arrogant and his compassion for humanity had started to disappear. He still acted as the judge of sins for humanity but his choice and judgment on who were evil was becoming more and more broad. Perhaps the years had started to take it's toll on him but he didn't think he'd changed at all.
It was on the 516th year that Gig had committed the great sin that led to him being sealed away. The city of Corsica had been supporting an organization known as Yesterwind. They were a black market syndicate that kidnapped and sold children. When Gig heard of the organization Yesterwind a great rage had come over him. He arrived at Corsica to gather info. When he found that the King himself had been supporting them his rage burst forth. He destroyed the city and slaughtered the people in an attempt to destroy the organization. In this act the Sepp saw that they had made a mistake and sealed Gig within the very sword they gave him.
He was sealed for 184 years and in this time, Gig's anger and hatred grew. He began to hate the Sepp, and in time he began to hate everyone. He hated the mortals, he hated his world, he wanted it to disappear, and he would destroy it if he ever got the chance. His wish was granted, but not by what he expected, the Heartless had come as the evil souls which continued to be born and cycle through attracted the attention of the darkness. The world was swallowed and Gig still sealed within the sword had managed to survive though it was now floating through the infinite expanse of space. Gig didn't know how much time had passed but for now, he would sleep.
Beginning History: A shooting star was seen in the skies of Radiant Garden but it was unlike others. It left behind it an odd trail and soon it feel to the world below. It looked as if it had landed in the Dark Depths, a harrowing place that most would think twice before entering. An Onyx Blade would be found in the crater it made, waiting for someone to come upon it.
