In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Name: Erik Stoneking
Nickname:None
Age:15
Gender:Male
Species: Human
Position: Neutral
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Erik can’t do much, he has never even seen the outside of his world nor does he know of the existence of other worlds, the only abilities that he has acquired are those that he has gotten through countless years of struggling with his friends. He has learned to dual wield the bats and has perfected his own battle style when using them, one of his favorite moves to use is what he like to call “Tornado”, he has the bats in both of his hand and spins around at high speeds towards his opponents where he will try to bludgeon them with it as many times as he can, although after doing this he often becomes quite dizzy and is open to attacks for a short time period while he gets his bearings back together. Another move that he like to use is that he will throw one of his struggle bats at his opponent and then rush in to try and hit them while they are slightly distracted, when using this he slightly increases his defense and power because he is using both hands with one struggle bat and is more coordinated, however since he is down one bat for the time until he picks it back up he is not as good, since he spends all his time practicing with two bats he is not quite used to using one and does not like how his attacks slow down when he is using only one.
Weapon/Items: Erik carries nothing more with him other than two struggle bats and his munny pouch.
Appearance: Erik stands at 5’ 8” and has black hair. He is what many people would consider skinny although he still has a fair amount of muscle, but not enough that people would focus entirely on that. His eyes are a sparkling blue that you would be able to notice immediately when talking to him because they stand out so much. His hair is nothing that would draw attention to because it is rather normal with it just straight falling down his head to the bottom of his ears.
For his clothing he often wears a red and black jacket that is never zipped up and covers a white t-shirt underneath. On his wrist it is visible that he wears a black watch. His pants go all the way down to his shoes and are a beige color but are clearly a bit too baggy for him to be wearing. His shoes are black but have red accents all around it.
Personality: Erik is a caring and sensible guy, whenever he can he tries to make new friends and he can’t stand to see someone that is upset. If he ever does, he is the type of guy that would go over there to find out what was wrong even if he had no idea who they were. He also can’t stand it when people pick on others for whatever reason, even if it is something that is deserved he will step in and defend the person that is getting picked on.
Even though Erik is very kind he is also a very logical thinker, although this plays a large part in what he does is often overruled by the part of him that says to go in and help, even if he knows that he is outnumbered and has no way of winning, while his logical side will be screaming to not go in and fight, his kindness will win out and force him to go into battle and defend whoever.
Erik also is the type of person that will hold grudges for a long time, if someone were to wrong him in some point in time it would take a while before he forgave them, and if they did something that was classified by Erik as unforgivable, then that person can assume that they have just earned themselves a new enemy.
Original World: Twilight Town Current World: Twilight Town
History: Erik was born in Twilight Town two years before the events of Birth By Sleep, as a child he didn’t notice the stirring in his heart that would have told him that things were changing if he were older. As he grew up he could distinguish it slightly, but it was still a mystery to him as to what it meant. At the age of 8 was when he discovered the wonderful world of struggle and how much it intrigued him, afterwards he would vow to himself that he would become great at this sport and would continue to practice it continuously.
About a year later was when he discovered how much he hated when others were bullied, during school he noticed one of the kids in his class being bullied by an older kid so he stepped in to stop it, although he was severely beaten up and so was the kid he was trying to protect, he made a good friend that day. It turned out that the other kid enjoyed struggle immensely as well and both he and Erik would practice it together whenever they had time off. Although it started out with the other kid beating Erik every time, eventually Erik asked if he could use a second bat, and being generous enough the other kid accepted. With the new bat in his hand Erik was ablet ob eat his friend and prove how powerful he was, he felt so much more right when he was holding two bats over one, and just knew that it would be his new style from then on.
Every year from then on Erik would always try to get into the struggle tournament, and although he could only use one bat in this, that fact that he was using two bats also helped him improve his skill with the single weapon as well. Unfortunately, every year he never even made it past the preliminaries, but Erik never gave up.
A few years later Erik could feel his heart stirring again which let him know that something was happening out there, although he didn’t know about other worlds, he still had a curiosity and thought about what might be out there and what he would be able to do if he could get out of Twilight Town.
Eventually, strange things started happening in Twilight Town and Erik noticed them but never said much about them, new weird creatures were appearing and things weren’t right, the world started having Nobodies showing up that no one could combat, although many people didn’t even know of their existence. With all this new stuff happening Erik’s belief that there might be even more out there was being even more strongly enforced, he was starting to feel like he had to get out of Twilight Town, he was just stuck there and his abilities were being limited by the town. He just felt that he had to find a way to get out…
Role Playing Sample: Erik stared in awe at the people battling up on the stage frantically running around and picking up the orbs that were dropped whenever they hit their opponent. Erik was at his first ever struggle tournament and was amazed by it, he knew that one day he would want to be like the people up there, fighting for the crowd and showing how powerful he was to the people cheering all around.
Soon, the battle was over, one of the two combatants had dealt the final blow and his opponent was laying down probably thinking what he did wrong. The announcer handed over the price with the obligatory congratulations and the crowd cheered on the victor who would now be the struggle champ for the rest of the year. After the crowd was done and the victor had sidled off somewhere else Erik followed and hoped that he could talk to him.
The man that he followed was the champ, but he was also one of the older students that Erik recognized from school. As Erik got closer he tried to muster up enough courage to say hello to the champ but all he could do was let out a pathetic little squeak.
Erik watched as the champ turned around, presumably from his squeak, and looked at Erik before saying, “Hello, did you follow me for my autograph or something?” The champ laughed as he said this but Erik knew this wasn’t what he had come for, he was hoping that he could learn something about struggle from the man who had won the tournament and if he wasn’t able to make his voice audible he might miss his chance.
“Um, no. I was following you to see if you could teach me about struggle, I recognized you from around the school and was hoping you would be show me the rules,” Erik was just barely able to get this all out in a steady tone of voice without slurring it out and speaking at the speed of sound.
The champ looked puzzled, “Aren’t you that kid who is hyper all the time?,” he paused as if to think, “Yeah, I remember you, how about this, I won’t tell you all of the rules unless you can beat me right now in this match, all you have to do is land a hit on me before I get 10 on you, and if you win, I will even give you the blue crystal off of this trophy, sound fair?”
Erik stood astonished, this man was giving him hugely handicapped odds and was willing to give Erik a part of the trophy, it sounded like and incredible deal, I mean surely he could get one hit on the guy, without giving it much thought he was able to get out, “Yeah, that sounds good,” and was ready to battle but then he realized he didn’t have a bat. The champ then too realized this but before Erik could let out any form of complaint on this the champ said, “Good, now hold up here while I go back and see if I can get us some bats to use.”
After hearing this Erik watched the man disappear and after a few minutes come back with two of the glorious bats that was used in the struggle match. The champ tossed one to Erik and he could barely catch it.
Noticing the kid fumble with the bat he laughed and said, “Ok, when I say go, we will begin and we’ll just go at each other, ok?” of course the last part didn’t really have time for a response because before Erik could choke anything out the champ shouted out, “Go!”
The champ rushed forward to Erik and before he had any time to respond the champ quickly unleashed a combo which gave him three hits. Erik was astonished; this man had incredible speed, remembering when he watched him on the stage he thought he must have been holding back. While Erik was lost in thought the champ broke him out of it by taunting, “Better watch out!” as he came in for another combo and this time landed four hits on Erik.
Already losing by a large margin Erik thought about how all he needed was just 1 hit, but the champ needed three more. He could not let the champ pull off another combo. Thinking about this once again made him semi lost in thought, but this time he was able to notice as the champ rushed in to deliver another combo, but he was ready this time. Erik pulled up his bat and blocked that attack and was able to even get in one hit on the champ, feeling happy he realized that he had satisfied the parameters that constituted him winning.
The champ stepped back and said, “Not bad kid, but don’t be surprised, because I was actually going easy on you,” Erik was astonished by this, did that mean that the champ had even more power than this? It didn’t matter, if it meant that by going easy on him, the champ had lost, then he was fine with it.
The champ picked up his trophy and took off the blue crystal and threw it at Erik, this time he was ready to catch it so he did. He held it up to the sun and was in awe by the beauty it provided; happy that he had a piece of the trophy to himself he put it in his pocket for safe keeping. Soon, he realized that by winning he would be able to start into the world of struggle, and just when he was about to ask about the learning of the rules the champ spoke and said, “You know what, I am feeling pretty tired today, come back here tomorrow and I will teach you about the rules.” After the champ said this, he started to walk away.
Erik was overjoyed, he would get to learn the rules and he now had a part of the trophy, almost too excited to walk he decided it would be best if he went home. Erik walked home and thought of the events of the day all night.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? I really hope that I get accepted, and I understand if you say that some parts are not up to par, history, personality, and appearance writing are not exactly my strong suit.
