Name: Emmanuel
Nickname:Em, Emmy, Emma (for those who wish to insult him)
Age: Sixteen, visibly. Otherwise unknown due to the non-aging qualities Neverland presents to permanent kid residents.
Gender: Male
Species:Human, Neverland boy
Position: Aligns with Darkness
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Shadow Manipulation:
This is the main ability of Emmanuel, the boy can use shadows of people and other inanimate objects around him in order to attack his foes without being in harm's way. The downfall to this is... If there is no sun or light source the only shadow he can use is his own and his shadow isn't exactly very useful.
Shadows travel along the ground and rear up to attack. Although they're usually not very strong and easily scared away. They can only be hit effectively when they're not completely on the ground/surface.
Shadows cannot detach from the ground unless an attack can alter things like dimensions. They also cannot be killed, being shadows they are not living things. Rare exceptions like Emmanuel's shadow does have a mind of it's own.
Flying
Being from Neverland, having a fairy, and just the number of years he has spent with fairies enables him to have flight. There are times he cannot fly, usually in situations that he does not feel happiness anymore or something scares him out of his wits. He's just a kid. Could be seen similar to the 'SuperGlide' ability, but Flying is his main form of transportation. He generally can travel between worlds, although not very often, as it puts incredible strain on him to the point of becoming extremely ill afterwards and could cause death. He has no real knowledge of other worlds, so where he ends up is random.
Dark Corridors:
He will only use this when he fears for his life and has no other way to get out of something. Even then, he's never used it to escape but he does acknowledge he has the ability. It drains him just as much, if not more, than flying to other worlds himself. He would essentially be killing himself if he was too weak to handle it. He has no real knowledge of other worlds, so where he ends up is random. Emmanuel has damaged himself by using it once before, which is why he's inclined to be aligned with the darkness.
Aero:
It almost comes with the territory and knowledge of flight, almost. Emmanuel can use Aero to better manipulate his grand buster sword and to evade attacks from foes. He does take damage personally when he uses the ability and it makes contact with him. He requires a pause before unleashing it and recovery time is slow, especially when used to move heavy objects like his sword or himself. He can use Aero on himself to increase his flying speed effortlessly outside of battle.
Weapon/Items:Grand Buster
A sword endowed with pixie dust, very large in size. Around a foot shorter than his body. Although it's useable, if the pixie dust either wears off or suddenly stops working (as it's under his emotional influence), it's incredibly heavy to the point it's either an extreme hindrance or he cannot lift it. It's a fine sword, but it's used more for intimidation or for a physical guard when possible. It's a cumbersome weapon even with pixie dust, it's like swinging a heavy object through the water. Only when he gets momentum going can it be devastating, but this is when he usually just either throws it or lets it drop on a Foe. It's also pretty useful in taking out things like buildings though...
When he uses Aero on this weapon, he can speed up his swings with the weapon but usually it’s a two-swing deal. If he misses he is completely open to an attack. Although missing a swing when using Aero on the blade, very rare unless the foe is much faster than he is(or is on the ground..).
If the sword becomes a liability, he will usually drop it. Not many people would be able to pick it up without Emmanuel manipulating it. He will occasionally leave it in a safe spot if he doesn’t feel like taking it with him.
This sword is held by a series of heavy, unforgiving leather straps and holds. He basically wears a harness in order to carry the weapon around when it’s not in use.
Dagger:
The dagger Emmanuel holds is rather old looking, it's used as a defensive weapon rather than attack. It probably would do much damage anyway, with it having a rounded tip. The dagger is a long one with an extended guard, much like a parrying dagger. Not much to say about this weapon other than it’s been with him longer than the sword.
The dagger has a sheath on a belt.
His Fairy
Although not really in his inventory or an item per say, but she is under his protection. They only co-exist with each other, they don't agree on much and frankly Emmanuel can't stand her when she speaks. Yet, they share a bond that makes it difficult to part ways especially after they left Neverland together. Usually she is hiding on his person, she isn’t really called by any name by him. She's just with him to provide pixie dust when he actually needs it.
Picture:--
Appearance: Around five and a half feet tall, well-built and sturdy. Very robust. Slightly fit.
Thick, radiant honey blond hair. Heavy with curls, that sweep down and then up and out.
Golden tan skin
Square face shape
Medium blue eyes
thickly rounded eye brows
Personality:Emmanuel is still very much a child at heart first and foremost, if not just a very misled one. He is unsure why he’s answering the calls from the darkness or why he finds some enjoyment in leveling towns and up heaving their way of life. Part of him deeply enjoys something so heinous that he wouldn’t originally do, but as he gives himself up further and further into the deep darkness he finds that his feelings for animosity continue to grow. He fears he might lose all reasoning but what did he have left? Not Neverland, not after what happened.
Emmanuel is usually perceived to be mysterious by most people, possibly charming in his own way when you first meet him. In truth Emmanuel is a pretty shy individual at first, much like the kid he really is. So like any child, once you get to know him he turns away from being a shy and meek little boy (in social situations) and into a fairly forward and familiar boy. It’s not that he’s a rude kid, in fact if he’s in touch with his true nature without being influenced by the darkness he’s a fair child in attitude… unless you cross him, which is a different issue. He does have a tendency to fly off the handle if he’s unclear on some things, he’s fairly rash if you don’t explain right away. It can be about the simplest of things, but it can also alter his opinion where he is and how things go there. If he finds anything mildly disturbing, such as things tied in with the darkness, he tends to try to turn away from that place even though he does associate with the Darkness.
Although he, as a child, fears the darkness. He is slowly coming to accept it as normal to feel and react to its influxes. But, despite this, he still unconsciously still attempts to fight it back. Otherwise he’s usually a harmless boy with intentions to just do whatever he’d like, he was a free spirit that didn’t like to be grounded. He will avoid questions by changing subjects or bluntly stating he rather not talk about that, being a forward individual also means he can be quite serious when someone pushes him into that type of position.
Although rather fearless as well as a bit carefree about jumping into fights, he will avoid it as much as possible unless he feels like it’s something he should be doing. He wasn’t always like this, but he became far more reserved once he left Neverland. The childish mentalities he had became rather worthless as he entered into a world in which he aged, the world seemed like a much darker place than he had remember Neverland being. This is what caused him to transition into something he couldn’t even control, his own fear of the world and of darkness got him in deep within the inescapable pits of exactly what he feared.
When under the influence of Darkness Emmanuel is an unpredictable, foreboding boy. Silent and dangerously indifferent to the well being of most everyone he meets, he will unwittingly attack anything that stands to quell whatever feeling he might have floating around inside his darkening heart. Regardless of his stoic, yet dangerous look would only be off-set by the child-like gleam in his eyes.
Emmanuel comes under violent or enraged tendencies from time to time, this is usually when he does his damage.
Original World: Neverland
Current World: Destiny Islands
History:To begin, Emmanuel's origins are a mystery to himself. He doesn't recall having a mother or father, or siblings, let alone relatives. The first memory he has consists of fairies, a garden, and then Neverland. But in truth, a lot more than just that happened in the time he wasn't a boy of Neverland.
Emmanuel was a very loved child, well cared for and doted on constantly. He was rarely ever punished, not due to being well-behaved but his parents didn't really spend time with him. Usually taken care of by his nanny or grandmother, and other times by his parent's friends. Emmanuel, like all infants in the mainland, could understand his parent's words. What they spoke about, what they fought about, what they complained about all the time was each other. None of it sat well with little Emmanuel.
