In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

I know that your hiding things using gentle words to shelter me.
Or at least she tried to, Yuna. A familiar melody hummed up Rikku's chest and through her throat, while her nimble fingers continued to braid the mass of her hair. She'd actually missed it when she allowed her cousin to do it. She'll just sit on the floor, while Yuna mused in her mass of hair that grew out so long within a year. It was an Al Behd thing, since her brown hair grew out as well. Paine never indulged in the girly child's play, but her presence was very much welcomed; ever since they landed in Radiant Garden, they were her foundation of a family she had, and now it was kind of broken, which crippled the thief more than she wanted to admit.
But I was listening
You fight your battles far from me
Far too easily
Which was technically true, because she able to hide it from me.
"Save your tears cause I'll come back"
She was gone...
I could hear that you whispered as you walked through that door
with that boy.
But still I swore
Or at least I tried.
To hide the pain, when I turn back the pages
Shouting might have been the answer, but if I did I knew I'd hurt her, and then I would've never forgave myself.
But now I'm not afraid to say what's in my heart
From there Rikku stopping singing the words in her head. Not only wasn't she confident with her own singing voice, she preferred hearing Yuna's. Now the blond groaned, while she just sate and brooded on the roof of their house, which easily turned into her house. There was definitely a different 'feel' and 'aura' to the townhouse. Fortunately for Rikku it wasn't completely empty and void with just her solitude and machina pieces.
One can say she adopted a lost puppy, and the thought of it finally brought a chuckle and smile to her face. Green swirled eyes twinkled recalling that mass of red curly hair, Merida. A knee lifted up to rest her arm and head on, while she just looked out the distance, observing the town. That little bundle of spitfire truly had a way with warming up the place; she had a lot of spirit Rikku could give her that.
A bit brash, but that could be tamed FOR THE BETTER with time...
That girl was a wild child, an attribute Rikku became pretty fond of; it as if she found a kindred in spirit within her. From time to time she wondered why she decided to step in when she found her...wandering about Radiant Garden standing out like a sore thumb. She'd rather not think it was because Yuna left, a departure that left a bitter taste that overpowered the sweetness. Perhaps the former guardian in her was kicking in gears again, and...there was nothing wrong seeking out companionship.
She'd promised the girl to take her out, well out of this world. In the back of Rikku's head she pretty much counted on the girl to not fully head her warning and roam out of the city. The Al Behd hoped she had a head on her shoulders to not roam to far. On that note, where was she?
Dark blond brows frowned as she scanned the premises. That wild red hair would've stood out in her vision, and she didn't see anything. Concerned the thief rose, while debating where to start. She could travel along the rooftops to find her.
Eeeh I'll give her...five more minutes...You better not have gotten into anything nasty...
She tried to set up some boundaries for she wouldn't be a helicopter over the youth. From the bits she'd told her, she had enough of that at home. Now she had a taste of freedom, the least Rikku could do was let her discovery that meaning on her own before she intervenes. Now she found herself laughing lightly to herself then looked towards the sky, "Hear that Lulu...I might be able to make it like you after all."
As she spoke, Merida wondered if the comfort was meant to be for herself or blond she was traveling with. It was like, after their scare earlier today - was it only today still? - the ginger was still rather on edge, twitchy and anxious, even in the middle of town. The sun slowly dipping down below the horizon did nothing to ease her nerves; in fact, darkness seemed to call to the Heartless, so they could very well be sitting ducks out there.
Had it really been this morning that Merida had found Rapunzel huddled away in an alley, this morning that the barrage of Heartless had charged upon them, this very morning that the aloof scholarly silver-haired man had wiped them all out with a single blast of light? Not wanting to dwell too much on those facts, Merida returned her mind to the walk home, concentrating on the familiar route.
Nearly every day since she'd been in Radiant Garden, she'd gone exploring - sometimes more than once and without Rikku knowing. All this freedom made her excited and caused her blood to boil... but, as a result, she learned the hard way the troubles of getting lost in a Heartless-infested world. Hey, it was good for training, anyways; she'd been coming up with good techniques to use against the devils, even the bigger ones that were harder to take down.
The techniques were on the top of her mind as she scanned the mostly-quiet town of Radiant Garden, trudging through as a guide to her daintier blond companion. Enemies weren't in sight, but Merida kept her bow grasped anyhow, just in case the Heartless crawled out of one of those weird dark puddles that she'd heard been named "portals."
But nothing attacked them as she made her way to the familiar alley and stopped in front of the door - to home, she thought in wonderment, a sort of glow in her chest.
... It was diminished, however, when she grimaced, remembering that she'd been gone nearly the whole day and had barely given Rikku a goodbye. Maybe she would be worried... maybe she would be just crazed and turn into her mum and do something awful like forbid her from going outside...!
Oh, nonsense. Rikku was her friend, not her prison guard. With still a little trepidation, Merida rapped once on the door, and then - using the spare key she'd been given - opened it up, calling out, "Rikku, it's me..."
She gave a quick glance to Rapunzel. Darn it, was she even doing the right thing? Rikku was the only source of information she had in this world, and honestly, Merida wasn't too good at explanations; this had been her only thought on what to do with the solitary blond, as she hadn't wanted to just leave her on the streets to fend for herself. After a short, abashed pause, Merida added,
☼Just smell the grass, the dirt the way I dreamed they'd be.☼
Rapunzel gazed upon the structure in front of her; it appeared to be a house like she had seen in the Kingdom. Though it looked more like this place she was at, more native to this area. Merida pressed forward to the door of the building knocking it quickly before pulling out a strange looking key, again more native to this area. She slowly unlocked the door, and entered the building, Rapunzel then followed suit and marveled at the inside, it was like her tower.
Rapunzel, felt the hominess of the place consume her, it was something familiar in a strange scary place. Though like everything else in this strange land, it was not like hers, but it had a strong sense about it that couldn’t help but make her smile. As she looked about she noticed many things that she had never seen or witnessed before, like a strange white box, in what Rapunzel assumed to be the kitchen, as well as many other things. Rapunzel then thought, about the chance that she may be somewhere much farther than she had thought, somewhere so far that the essence and life style is far more… advanced? Whatever it was it puzzled her.
Then Merida spoke, “Rikku, it’s me…”Rikku… What an odd sounding name, Rapunzel had thought to herself. Perhaps Rikku lived here, Rapunzel pondered about this; maybe she was Merida’s sister? Rapunzel then looked up to Merida, who had just recently glanced at her, why did she bring her here? Maybe this Rikku knew something about Eugene? Or where Corona was? Whatever the reason was, Merida obviously had done it on the best intention. “An’ Ah’ve got a friend” Merida added to the mysterious Rikku.
Rapunzel, was worried about would happen next, perhaps Rikku could help in her quest for Eugene. Whatever would happen next, Rapunzel was unsure, but Rapunzel knew Merida had the best intentions for Rapunzel.
A smile light up on her face once hearing a familiar voice calling her name. Peaking over the rooftop, the stealthy Al Bhed watched her from above, and her spiralled eyes widdened noticing the obvious; she'd brought someone with her. Now the town was small enough that Rikku felt like she one hundred percent knew just about every face in Radiant Garden. Okay maybe her memory wouldn't be THAT good, but she certainly doesn't remember that headful of blond prancing about the streets either.
Leaning over the edge, she silently shifted her body to flip over and land on the ground. She managed to land on her toes and balanced herself; spending enough of her childhood and adolescence jumping off of high places in Spira made her immune to the stinging pain in her foot. The door was left ajar for the mechanic to slip inside. Bitting her lips she grinned in anticipation letting her roam into the house to seek her out before she gave the door a nice slam.
BAM!
"Someoooone's hoooome eaaaaarly," the Al Bhed made sure she locked the door behind her as she casually strolled towards the pair with her arms folded over her chest, "Mmm and here was I thinking that you wouldn't be back until the next sunrise, tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk."
Her hands then rested on her hips, then looked over Rapunzel. Getting a better look at her, she'd noticed how longer her hair actually was even if it was bond up in that braid of all braids. Blinking in curiousity, Rikku leaned in on her; she lacked the ordinary clothes of an Al Behd, and she lacked the eyes too.
Wow maybe she just had some good genes bouncin in there...
"Sooooooooo gonna introduce me to your friend here?" Her brows perked, while eyeing Merida, then back at Rapunzel, "If you haven't figured it out yet I am the one and only Rikku."
Merida knew something was up, what with the slightly long silence that was in response to her words. She could feel Rapunzel's slight tension beside her, and that did nothing to bolster the ginger's confidence. Suspicious of the bubbly Rikku's silence, she listened with bated breath, the hairs on the back of her neck rising as she strained her ears to hear the sounds of her friend.
Seconds before the door closed, she heard the tiniest step into the house; she whirled around, her hair spinning out like flames behind her, but her theory didn't stop her from from wincing horribly at the bang of the door slamming shut. She pouted at Rikku's grinning face - but then she remembered that it was really Rikku who should be annoyed with Merida, not the other way around, and her expression awkwardly slid to one of not-quite-abashed embarrassment.
"Eheh..." Rikku's accusation hit home, and she rubbed the back of her neck, grimacing. She felt a little bit resentful towards the tiny reprimand - but, all in all, the Al Bhed seemed in light spirits, and not raring to take her freedom away, like her dear mother.
As she posed her next question, Merida jumped a little and cleared her throat; in her own ruminations, she'd quite forgotten about Rapunzel's existence. "Oh! Aye. Well. Ehh..."
Putting on her brightest smile (which really looked sadly fake), Merida declared, "Rikku, this is Rapoonzel. Ah met 'er eairlier today, an' she's a bi'... new aroond 'ere, ye see." Hopefully Rikku wouldn't miss her not-so-subtle emphasis on the blond's newness to the neighborhood. "Um, Rapoonzel, this is Rikku. She's ma friend."
Thare. Tha' wasnae so hard. Still, Merida wondered at what could be coming next, and hovered there rather nervously. Suddenly, a thought struck her: Would this ditzy girl she'd picked up be living with them now? Argh, she never thought these things through! Resisting the urge to slap her forehead, she merely shifted her weight to her toes, unsure of what to say next but knowing the two of them must have a million questions for her.
Maybe one of them would gloss over the sticky sentence as Merida - lacking good communication skills - didn't bring up the key question: why she had brought back Rapunzel in the first place.
☼Just smell the grass, the dirt the way I dreamed they'd be.☼
Rikku was a very bubbly type person, as Rapunzel slowly inspected her looking at her like someone for the first time seeing extravagant art. Part marveling at the sheer beauty while part wondering what the heck it was they where staring at. As Rapunzel took in the girl, it started to remind her of a more mature version of her self, which was odd for Rapunzel considering that she had been locked in a tower her whole life sure she was never going to be anything more than her Mother’s little flower.
Mother…
that word brought back so many memories to Rapunzel. Rapunzel felt such a pain in her gut as she thought about the condition she had left her Mother in she was alone, heartbroken, and sworn that Rapunzel would never see her again. Rapunzel felt awful remembering there last confrontation were she had chosen Eugene over her, And to think I never even thought once about her! What kind of daughter am I! “She must hate me!”
[/color]
Rapunzel screamed it out she didn’t intend to, but it happened. Why did that thought have to come out of her mouth? Especially at a time like this, when Merida had been so kind to take her home with her and show her to her new friend Rikku. And what did Rapunzel repay them with screaming! It was completely absurd; Rapunzel was a horrible friend and a horrible daughter. Finally Rapunzel glanced up from her inner battle, but the sight of the two of them was too much to bear. Rapunzel collapsed to her knees and began to sob again, for the second time that day.
Some first impression Rapunzel was making, she walks into the house and five seconds later she’s on the floor bawling like a baby. Rapunzel began to try to explain to the two girls above her why she was crying and acting like a complete idiot, “M-mot-the-e-r” was all Rapunzel managed to scrape out of her throat with the thick tears running down her face. Rapunzel tried to stop, but the tears kept flowing and flowing down on her face causing her eyes to get red and puffy as well as her nose to become slightly runny. It was as if Rapunzel had mobbed all her sadness together into one big cry fest.
..and of-course she was new. Rikku never saw this girl before, then it dawned on her. She was THAT new. She wasn't new like a new puppy, but new to the entire 'it's not a small world after all.' Rikku merely hummed at that little note, while scratching the back of her head trying to get over the idea of having to be the barer of bad news. Luckily Merida told her now rather than let that detail sneak up on her. The mechanic let that little frustration slide; it was better for her to do it rather than Merida, and it brought a small smile to her face that Merida would bring her too her.
Well isn't someone being a sociable good Samaritan...
Personally Rikku thought it might have been outside of Merida's M.O. to reach out to other people; she seemed so much like a rogue wild child to the point this kind of thing was unexpected. Yet she can tell Merida wasn't one to be emotionally expressive or deal with that. She could've told Rapoonzel about her predicament, but that would open up fresh wounds while dealing with comforting another when she wasn't at her 100%. Regardless it was enough to make her want to ruffle that head full of hair and let Merida skiddaddle before everything hit the fan, but the damn broke before Rikku could even tap a hole into it.
"SHE MUST HATE ME!"
The thief nearly jumped out of her skin; the light hairs on her arms were stiff as she gawked at the blonde, "Heeey I-I don't hate you even though you're scaring me right now."
Now the girl was on the floor crying, and Rikku couldn't stand watching someone cry. Squatting down, the gullwing cautiously reached her hand out to touch her. A soft pat turned into a warm shake. "Hey, I get it you miss your mom, and it's no biggy, but crying isn't going to help you find her. Sooo Rapoonzel, let's just sit up and take a deep breath okaay."
It totally felt like she was giving a pep talk to Merida all over again but with the crying. Alarmed swirled eyes looked at Merida asking a silent question if this girl was like this earlier.
(so it's officially been twenty days since this thread has a response. wow oops, sorry y'all.)
Before Rikku had even gotten the idea of letting Merida off the hook, the ginger was inching away as inconspicuously as she could manage, not eager to deal with this new dear that the universe had spat out. Yeah, okay, she hadn't been about to leave Rapunzel all alone and by herself - especially after the Heartless attack, yeesh - but she really wasn't, well, cut out for coddling or sugarcoating or the cheering up of strays... anything that wasn't blunt and pragmatic was lost on her. That's not to say she didn't have empathy, mind, but she was more uncomfortable expressing it than most.
And to be honest, she wasn't good at it, either... Rapunzel was best left in the hands of someone who could be kind and gentle with her, rather than someone who would get anxious under that sort of "motherly" strain.
But she was stopped by the sudden shriek that rang through the room, and Merida winced, her heart sinking. The selfish truth of her probably not being able to sneak out of this was the first thought into her mind, but then genuine worry for the ditz of a blond came soon after. So it was with a reluctant but very real concern for Rapunzel that Merida halted in her tracks and watched the poor girl sob on the ground.
See, this sort of situation was nothing short of frightening to her; it was one completely beyond her control as it dealt with another's feelings. Heck, she had difficulty enough handling her own feelings, but the thought of successfully dealing with another's issues was as foreign as the world she'd landed herself in. She dithered there, staring at Rapunzel in a way that could almost be considered rude and intrusive, biting her bottom lip as she tried to come to some sort of practical conclusion and find the darn words to say that would magically make everything better.
But words had never been good for her; she'd never been able to use simple words to articulate her wishes and desires. So she stood there in awkward silence, wanting to comfort Rapunzel, but not sure how to go about it.
And then Rikku did the magical act that Merida had been hoping to come from herself... her friend went to the ground in front of Rapunzel and was gentle and kind, like her own mother, and cooed the sort of sweet things that the ginger could not have come up with on her own. Well, that was mostly because she considered it common sense - of course crying wasn't going to help anybody, come on - but people didn't often use common sense to pull themselves out of a moment of misery.
But then a rather embarrassing problem hit her ears; Rikku had called Rapunzel Rapoonzel. Well, of course she had, that's how she'd heard Merida pronounce it! But Merida knew that that wasn't the real way to say blondie's name, even if she herself couldn't quite pronounce it the way it had been intended. So, grasping at straws and feeling a little bit annoyed that this was the absolute best she could do in a conversation, Merida cleared her throat and attempted to steer through her thick accent in order to correct Rikku:
"Actually, 'er name is Rapunzel" - the word came out with no small amount of stuttering, as accents are difficult things to overcome, and she'd been so used to saying the long "oo" sound instead of the rather flat "uh" - "so, er, Ah didnae mean fer any confusion..."
And then she stood there in the wake of her awkward phrasing into an equally awkward silence, still staring at Rikku and Rapunzel and feeling quite out of place.
☼Just smell the grass, the dirt the way I dreamed they'd be.☼
Rapunzel sat up from her position in the floor and began to take deep breaths as Rikku had commanded. A situation such as this would bring most, often including Rapunzel, into a great state of embarrassment, though going what she had gone through today she didn't even give it the slightest thought. Rapunzel looked up and examined the girl known as Rikku, she seemed very calm and collected, a trait that would be greatly needed with her often emotional outbursts. Rapunzel felt very grateful towards her and Merida, they were taking her in at a time when it appeared no one would. Rapunzel was about to speak up and give a long speech of gratitude most likely ending up in another one of her outbursts, but she was interrupted by Merida who began to speak.
Merida once more spoke in get very thick foreign accent, it reminded Rapunzel of one of the thugs in the snugly ducking who spoke in a similar tongue. She spoke about her mispronunciation of Rapunzel's odd name, something she was beginning to getting used to from her short day out of her tower. Rapunzel blushed slightly at the apology and the writes new way she heard her name, Rapunzel let out a somewhat cheerful smile towards Merida. "Oh, don't worry about my name. It is rather hard to pronounce, the people I met in the short time I had left my house often had a bit of trouble with it." Rapunzel now stood up and looked down at the two, she had a plan to surprise the two of them.
"I have an idea! How about I create a small meal for you for my thanks! Though you need to stay here I will surprise you with it. Rapunzel then dashed into the cooking area without hearing a response from the duo, though she had some trouble finding the kitchen in the modernized house. Once Rapunzel had arrived into the Kitchen she took a few minutes to discover the strange new devices or modernized versions of former ones she had once known, it was strange though Rapunzel is very good at adapting. Rapunzel then discovered different cooking supplies, figured out what on earth she would create with them and got to work.
********
After Rapunzel had finished platting the last of the meal in the kitchen she set up a small table by the window which perfectly showed the glow of the pink sky as the sun almost finished its setting. Rapunzel then dug out a white table cloth she found deep underneath some sort of washing box you used on dishes and silverware and such. After tossing the cloth over the table she set a nice vase of water with freshly picked flowers she had taken from Rikku's front lawn. Rapunzel then dimmed the lights and returned to the living room, and addressed Rikku and Merida. "Your table is ready!
"Hm...," Rikku hummed highly in confirmation as a whirlwind flutter her blond hair, while she watched a long trail of hair dart towards the kitchen like a yellow flagged arrow. She sat there a bit flabbergasted and stood still just to recollect everything. Leaning over, she looked into the threshold of the kitchen hearing Rapunzel doing who knows what. Stealthily she crawled over, while being weary of not stepping on any hair, and peaked over the archway into the kitchen. Her eyes widens before tiptoeing back towards Merida; like a stern mother she tugged her by the hem of her collar. Stopping her hands landed on her hips and whispered, "Sooooo you're meaning to tell mee...that you went out....I beat you home...and you brought home a cook!"
Hearing clanking of pots and what nots triggered Rikku's curiosity to stand on her toes to look over Merida, "Well I be smothered by Flan's juice, she really is cooking. Wow...you should go out more often maybe you'll bring home a gummiship or a chocobo."
Flopping on the sofa, Rikku tucked her legs in to cross Indian style as she contemplated and kept her voice low, "Hm...although it's nice to have another person; it'll kinda slow us down a bit, finding your family, unless she have more surprises. Where did you find her anyway?"
Some people were able to bounce back quickly from predicaments like Rapunzel, but how many had the innate or learned skills from their native world to survive the harsh reality? Merida have was with archery, a manner she would look into to give the girl an upper hand; Rikku herself isn't a stranger to danger zones by no means. What about this Rapunzel? Eventually she was going to take Merida to other worlds, a promise she intended to keep thoroughly. Would it even be ethical to leave the girl behind to her own devices? For the time being it smelled cruel, and Rikku wouldn't mind having an entire party after being used to a teamwork dynamic. But would the young girl be able to handle it?
(Just giving Rikku and Merida some talking business before jumping into ze kitchen)
Merida watched with slight bemusement as Rapunzel, calm as you please, brushed herself off and her tears away, and danced off to the kitchen. Well, though she'd never met him, the blond was taking Merida's father's advice to heart - she was keepin' the heid, or staying calm.
She blinked as the blond whirled into the kitchen and, soon enough, the telltale sound of cooking utensils and tools being clanged about could be heard. Shaking her mane of red curls in disbelief, she sighed, pulling her bow off over her head and placing it in a corner, along with her quiver of arrows. She started to pull her boots off when she felt a tug at the collar of her T-shirt, and let out a disgruntled "Hey!"
As soon as she was released, she spun around to frown at Rikku, rubbing the back of her neck. The slightly taller blond's eyes - with those peculiar swirls - sparkled a bit, however, so Merida felt herself relaxing a bit. She just was not in the mood to be reprimanded for anything, or to be lectured, or anything like that - and Rikku's previous move had her on the edge.
"Aye, Ah guess Ah brough' home a cook." Bemused again, Merida followed Rikku's gaze to the kitchen, a reluctant smile curling on the edge of her lip. After trekking through the Heartless-laden city at night, she was having a hard time of it coming off of her security-conscious frame of mind - it didn't help that it'd only been a few days, too, since the time she lost her world. But, slowly, the anxiety was ebbing away, making room for the more lighthearted demeanor Rikku brought out of her.
She giggled and snorted a little at Rikku's last comment about the gummiship or chocobo. She sort of understood the last reference - Rikku had mentioned that "chocobos" were big fluffy birds, big as horses, from her world - but the sentiment was there, and she relaxed even more, allowing her usual lopsided grin to appear. "Tha' would be somethin'," she said, settling herself down in a chair and slumping back. "Boot, speakin' o' th' goomi ship, Ah heaird somethin' int'restin' down in town today..."
Before she could continue with that train of thought, Rikku rambled on, asking Merida where she'd picked up Rapunzel. Her expression became a bit more serious, recalling the memory from this early afternoon, when she'd been exploring (was it really only a couple of hours ago)? "Ah foond her in an alley, th' poor lass." She hesitated, but plowed on: "Ah... Ah didnae know what t' do with 'er, so Ah thought Ah maight bring 'er 'ere so... so ye could tell 'er wha' ye told me?"
All right, so she was admitting that she sucked at communicating nicely to people, and that she'd been hoping to use Rikku's help, but what else was she going to say? At least she'd helped the sniveling wreck instead of leaving her there on the edge of the city where the Heartless would be sure to have gotten her in a few hours' time, at most. She stared back at Rikku, simultaneously defensive - as if daring her to argue - and apologetic.
But then, Rapunzel called out that dinner was ready, so Merida heaved herself out of the chair and, wincing in a good-natured way at her stomach grumbling, said, "Let's eat, then! Ah'm stairvin', aren't you?"
☼Just smell the grass, the dirt the way I dreamed they'd be.☼
Rapunzel dashed back into the kitchen making sure to look back at the duo to let them know to follow suit of her. Rapunzel then went over to the table, smoothed out the table cloth and set down plates and silverware, she looked up and nodded towards the table for them to sit down at the table while she retrieved the food. Rapunzel went into the kitchen and went towards the over, sweet scented aromas wafted through the halls floating about giving off memories to Rapunzel of her and Mother baking pies as a kid.
Rapunzel missed her Mother and it was a saddening thought to think about especially in the state she left her. After all she had been a complete jerk to her and told her that she never wanted to see her again, believing in Flynn. It was a nice thought to believe that her true love was out their searching for her and they would dance off happily into the sunset. She'd only been gone a day and was filled with these new hopes and dreams, this darkness was an abrupt awakening to Rapunzel. Maybe she should have never left her tower staying with Mother and being safe, at least now they would be together. Or maybe not, though Rapunzel needed to stop thinking about this before she burst into tears once more.
Rapunzel pulled the rather large pie out of the oven and set it on the counter. Rapunzel managed to figure out the ingredients needed to make a pie here, after all baking was one of the few things she did every day. Some of the ingredients seemed a bit different here than from her tower, though she had assumed it to be a mere difference between Kingdoms and tasted it then tossed it into the pie mix. She had hoped it would all taste good enough for Merida and Rikku's standards, it was the least she could do considering she was burdening them with living in their home (or at least she hoped she would).
As Rapunzel came to the table she approached them with a smile and set the pie down on the table. "I made apple pie, I hope it's alright. I'm a bit shaken up from the whole events that happened earlier. So its not as good as it usually is." Rapunzel smiled and picked up a knife off of the table and began to cut into it and distributed a piece to Rikku and one to Merida. Rapunzel then took a small smidgen of a slice for herself and sat down next to them. "Is it alright? My... Mother says it is acceptable."
