Nightfall: Chapter 2
Two years after the events of Dream Drop Distance, the Darkness became so great that it swallowed the worlds, locking them away within its merciless abyss.
Twilight Town, now covered in eternal night, stands as one of last Sanctuaries of Light. It is where players begin their journey.
Ever resourceful, the Moogles have created a safe place for refugees. They have charged the Denizens of Light with finding Castle Oblivion: it holds a key to the puzzle of the lost worlds.
But within the dark shadows of the sanctuary world a powerful dark force still looms, waiting to strike. Each survivor must choose whether to go to Castle Oblivion or stay behind to protect the world from the dragon that lurks in the shadows.
Yet they all had a common goal in reclaiming their hearts. Does that still hold true? If a Xemnas were to be applied for, could he rally the troops back to his side? Yes, there was a lot of betrayal and ulterior plots, but everyone had that common goal.
Just as a side note Blue, remember that everybody did not have that common goal. Xemnas' own goal was not gaining a Heart, it was power. Xigbar found out, and is kinda of the same line, but apart from that they've led everyone else to believe success meant Heart restoration. The troops are all on his side, they're just not. . . doing shit. xD All the dying in KHII may have caused some to lose a bit of faith, but I don't think the members realize they were betrayed. As of this site's canon they are all still functional as a group. Apart from Marluxia, and kinda sorta Larxene. But those two are always the exception, aren't they?
The Dark XII has its problems too, i.e. Ienzo. However, as Arlene recently discovered when Yen Sid killed her, they've got a huge benefit too.
As far as the Organization's reasons/goals; currently I believe their aim is the rebuilding of the synthetic Kingdom Hearts, to try again, but also to research and see how things will be more successful the second time around. Without giving anything away about the site plot, there are things that can be discovered that will change their aim greatly and give them a different focus. All this will be explained to the new Xemnas when he comes around, to motivate that spearheading effort. Dirb had been fully immersed in plotting the new site plot, after all.
Right now the lack of a good site plot isn't the problem. We already addressed that problem last year, and tied up all those loose ends. It's the characters and plotting effort to make it happen that we're currently sparse on. Some more frequent plotty MSN meetings between people should solve that problem fine. I have everybody's MSN already, I do believe. ;]
Cadey's ready to get back to being a naive adventurer girl, and Mal... welp, with the Guardians gone kuput I was thinking of having him start up his own little team of do-gooders to help combat the Heartless/darkness/boogymen.
Mal should start whipping the OC's back into shape. =D Most are scattered here and there and have difficulty contributing to site and world plots.

u,u Sooo research how to be
+ more successful in collecting hearts when they are perpetually forced to act outside of their rather successful discreet nature. Most successful route is harvesting from worlds. Yay you tried blackmailing your just as discreet heartless, who took down a world and attacked another without much spotlight.
+ how to be more successful in general "this time around" aka how to handle the keyblade wielders. Memory manipulation has been attempted, and you've lost Namine (who have a keyblade GO OPRAH!) And you lost Roxas.
>> << with all this "research" they need to do...kinda funny how not much started, but I'll simply blame it on people not being able to rp much as they use to and needing fresh blood.
o-o Also I doubt Vexen and Zexion would be happy working with Axel, who's responsible for their demise. Vexen was manipulated by Marluxia due to his fear of Xemnas. Saix begged for his heart and didn't get it, and he already have a strain with Axel u.u Soo yeaah how one reacts to their personal issues/vendetta is up to rper, but just throwing it out there...that >> << they do have issues within.
>:3 teehee now they sound like some dramatic reality tv show.
psst also just about this entire thread in general... i feel like another activity check should be in order? and also maybe an admin activity check because the admins should be doing what they can (that's why they're admins) but some are... not doing any admin duties, or haven't for a year, etc. but defs a character activity check would be great, and also a member, so we can get rid of the hundreds of accounts we have here that haven't done squat.
Very well. Doogs and Shun have been removed as staff.
I'd support an activity check but some members, especially myself and Ellie, have gone and advertised extensively the last few weeks. I believe it best to wait until the tide of new members dies down since I'm sure we'll have more dead accounts and inactive characters to work with then. Furthermore, many are on winter break. A more reliable check would be a bit afterwards.
But I agree. I want to get our canon characters sorted out as soon as we can. The dead accounts may feel like a burden but they're really not detrimental - if anything, a high member count looks attractive to newcomers.
We just got our 500th member since the last activity check today. xD
