In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Avari's onslaught of fireballs seemed to do nothing to slow or stop the creature's progress of creating its deadly attack, and for all she knew about magic, she could just be feeding it more power. She glanced around for some kind of idea on how to proceed, oblivious to the subtle fluctuations in the dark barrier where the mysterious figure was attempting to reach them. Instead she only saw Oswald and Charme, the only two people that could help her overcome this obstacle. If her fire was a bad match-up, perhaps Oswald's lightning would be the answer? He had fire it off a few times, but the beast was high up now and difficult to reach.
Just as Avari was about to call out to Oswald, when she saw Charme transform his weapon into a baton, and as he turned mid-dance, flung it into the air. As it flew threw the air, it elongated back into a staff, and (hopefully) lodged itself into the creature. Avari quickly looked back to Oswald and cupped her hands out in front of her. "Oswald, come here! I'll give you a boost! Shoot Charme's staff with lightning!" Oswald being well, a small rabbit, she felt confident that she could launch him high enough into the air for him to get a good shot of lightning off on the staff.
Still they fought back, as the fireball grew larger. It was almost exciting for the beast, seeing helpless prey fall to its Gravity spell, but suddenly. there was pain. Several of Avari's fireballs hit the beast, and it roared, but several found themselves hitting the fireball, and something wavered in the stability of it, almost as if it was no longer uniform. In reality, she had knocked it off focus, and the spell was threatening to let loose early.
Charme's trick, however, was turn turning point, and as the staff buried itself in the Dark Hide's leg, it let go with the said limb. And letting go when gravity was focused right below it wasn't a good thing. It was torn from its perch above them, and began falling. But it would not go down, at least not alone. With a roar, the fireball imploded above the party, htiting the Heartless in the explosion.
All the party would hear was the explosion of fire, and the shattering of glass. But no pain would come.
When their vision would clear, they would see the Heartless slumped on the ground near them, as a barrier of light surrounding them flickered into nothing. The circumference of the barrier was on;y scorched ground and burned grass, and small fires danced, though they posed no threat of spreading. In the middle of them stood a hooded figure, black cloak familiar, but not to them. The mysterious entity held their strange weapon in hand, the golden handle shaking as they took deep breaths.
Before any questions could be asked, the figure twirled the Keyblade in hand, and in a single dash towards the Heartless, cut through it. One final roar came as the beast returned to darkness, leaving behind only shadowy wisps - and a book. Disregarding this, the figure looked back at them briefly, then walked forward as a portal formed, disappearing into it.
After that, all was calm, for once. If one observed the book, they would find it was the one Artemicon was looking for, though no one would know why the Heartless had it. An extra page would fall out of it, though, reading as followed.

No. i report
The Realm of Darkness seems to go on to infinity. I couldn't possibly imagine wandering it, but I met somebody today who had. She seemed surprised to meet another person, and seemed to know the castle. She called herself Aqua, I think, and she was looking for a friend. I asked her who, but she said she was having trouble remembering. She looked like she could use a break, but insisted on leaving. Now that I think about it, I think one of the research notes Vexen left mentioned a blue-haired youth... I hope she's okay.
She did tell me of something before she left though. The castle has a secret room, one that must be protected at all costs. I'm going to try and find it. Expect further reports.

Mission Complete! Feel free to make closing posts, reactions, ect.
"Well uh, that was interesting to say the least," said Oswald finally getting up off the ground, "They had a Keyblade maybe they know how to get the world's back." Even as he said this Oswald was taken aback by all that had just happened. It was really something strange, but amazing too.
So a battle comes to a close, good, but who was that guy? Why did they have a Keyblade? Why did the monster have the Artemicon? These were all questions racing through Oswald's mind as he went to pick up the book. Then a page fell out. "Hey guys there's a page here," he yelled to the others while skimming it, "something about some Realm of Darkness."
With wide eyes, Avari watched as their efforts seemed to upset the beast's focus, enough to make its fireball unstable, and for the beast to lose grip on its perch above. As the heartless began to fall towards them, she instinctively braced herself and shut her eyes tight as she buried her face in her arms. She had expected the impact of the creature and its fiery torrent. She heard the explosion of the fire's impact, but it never reached her, and instead there was the sound of glass shattering all around her. When she finally opened her eyes she watched as a golden barrier surrounding her flickered into nothing, and before the three of them, the beast lay weakened and vulnerable.
It was then that Avari noticed the cloaked figure nearby, who twirled a strange weapon in hand before lunging forward towards the heartless and dealt the finishing blow. Avari could do nothing but watch as all of this took place right before her eyes, and the monster that had nearly killed all three of them was wiped out by one person. The heartless vanished in a puff of darkness, defeated once and for all, and in its place stood the mysterious figure. It was difficult for Avari to process this all at once: the barrier that had protected all three of them, the appearance of this stranger who saved them, and the strange weapon this person used.
After a moment of silence, Avari asked,
"Who are you?"
The figure looked upon each of them briefly, but seemed to disregard her words entirely as a strange portal appeared behind her and she turned and disappeared into it.
"Wait!"
Avari took a step forward, but the portal disappeared, taking the cloaked figure with it. She furrowed her brow as she clumped her hands into fists, but then she slowly exhaled a breath she didn't realize she had been holding. "Who was that?" She quietly mumbled to herself. Avari looked up from staring at her shoes when Oswald mentioned something about a keyblade, and bringing the worlds back. "What do you mean a... keyblade? Do you know that person Oswald?" she walked over to him, but he then directed the party's attention to the book on the ground, and when he picked it up, a page fell out. She knelt down beside him and read it over his shoulder as he read it.
"Aqua... and, Vexen? Do you think that moogle will know something about this? Guess there's only one way to find out." With the book in their possession, Avari led the way back into town to look for Artemicon.
