In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Syn stared between the two: the beckoning Heartless and the small Neo-Shadow. Indeed, Elaeus had a Heart, but Syn could fight it. He smiled and picked his blade up, the edge facing the newcomer. He stared straight at him with luminescent eyes.
"Unlike you, I am only partly a denizen of Darkness. But my Darkness is a disease. It is something that eats away no matter how Light I get..."
He lowered the blade a bit, still ready for an attack. "But I'm not Heartless yet. No, even if I need Hearts to live, I can be Light. I don't like sticking to labels anyway." The beast that had infested him had eaten his past away, and was trying to eat his future, but he would beat it.

Ela smiled as he looked to Mr. Blue eyes. "Well, there are ways out of that little delimma." He looked over to where the neoshadow disappeared. "But since your fighting to live, I doubt you'd want to commit suicide." Ela chuckled to himself. "Trust me, I'm not here to fight, or to cause any problems. I really came here to blow off some steam." He sighed. "Being a heartless now days is just so stressful."

Elaeus chuckled, "Sorry to tell you darkness is darkness, never light. Once a heartless you will have a desires like one no matter what falacies you pin yourself with to make you feel, diseases, light." The heartless was laughing in the inside in amusement at how the heartless attempted to find a loophole to one of the many who had created scientific experiments of the mysteries of the hearts including the heartless.
After studying them for so long and becoming one, Elaeus can tell what is what, a heartless, a nobody, or a fool. This one was a fool for countless of reason. One of them is for pointing the sword at him. "Now heartless, I advise you to not act so foolishly." The Heartless commented on the blade, while watching it lowered. "I can kill you easily if I wanted and remedy that dream of being light."
His attention turned towards Ela with an arched brow. "Stressful? Have you done anything benefitial lately that would cause such stressful neeed to blow off steam?" The firestarter should be the last one to talk about stressful compared to those in the Dark XII who were actually doing something. What have Ela been doing lately? "Since you are so desperate in blowing off a steam, you will be getting a task to complete."
His nose twitched at the scent of fear that followed by the dark signature of the neo-shadow. "There's truly no need for that. After all he would want you alive and well." The heart floated down to the neoshadow's level. If he refuse to take it, then lurking shadows might to either reduplicate or devour for itself.
Stressful? Have you done anything benefitial lately that would cause such stressful neeed to blow off steam?
Ela blew a strand of hair out of his eyes. "Well excuse me if Ansem hasn't given me anything to do! Really, let me ask you something, what's the last mission you remember us having?" he said looking to Elaeus. "When I left, we were actually active, now we just set on our butts all day and stare at each other!" he said, and turned to Mr. Blue eyes. "She's right ya' know. Darkness is darkness, but eh, I'm not prosecuting you for trying to be light. Do what you will." he said, waving his hand at Mr. Blue Eyes.
Syn spat at the ground as Elaeus spoke again. His fiery blue eyes seemed to brighten as he stared at the group of Heartless. "Look at you all. You're all completely hopeless. Run by a higher power, you are inexplicably drawn to follow your master. You can't fight, you can't win. Even the small Heartless is drawn to him."
He held up his arm, which pulsed with dark energy and he stuck it to his side, the blade vanishing, the metal cast once again hidden beneath his skin. "But even if I am Heartless, I don't hold that. I can push away the Heartless part of me with a mere rise of my arm. It is then imprisoned, and I don't feel the Darkness nearly as bad. I am almost invincible to its lust..."
"And as you can see, my Heart can't be so easily taken. The Heartless part of me wants it more."
He looked to the other Heartless and shook his head. The man was seemingly goofy, but he was not to be trusted. "You should find allies and stick to them. You can't ever be on both sides."

"Elaborate fight and hopeless. If I was to have a short temper then surely you would fit the criteria way more than I, one who is masterless." The Earth Titan felt a chill that sent a rumbling chuckle within him. "You are so hopeless and ignorant to the point I want to laugh at you."
"Part?" Elaeus laughed. "There aren't any parts when one's a heartless. Almost means nothing when your life turns to black and white, heartless. No need to worry," The hand patted the boy's cheek as if he was a child,"no one can run away from who they are; you will never be invincible, especially when you were weak enough from the start to fall."
"No you proclaimed that I can fight nor win. Do you really want to test your hypothesis out?" Crystalline blue eyes smiled as their pupils revert to slits. "Truly think before you can act and speak. I doubt you want to see the hazard of one who truly holds back."
In truth, Elaeus haven't indulged himself to steal a heart. The temptation was placed on the back burner for the sake of the unstable organization. No need to run a rampage of a heartless' hunger, which can set them back ten more spaces when they already succeeding in moving up two. His release of the pent up energy is working; he would busy himself to keep him occupied to ignore it. Sure the calling is strong, so he would treat and minorly sate it in battling, another activity he had set aside as well. Toying with Elaeus can be dangerous; he is a ticking bomb ready to explode, an explosion he is quite eager for.
A bit of it was targeted at Relena one morning, the rest was instore for whoever he needs to cut out the picture to bring everything a step a head. Surely, this mere heartless would be a waste of the Earth Titan's time. Niether the Sand Lord, the Rumbling Tracker, or the Alpha Diamond had a moment to play. It all showed through the gleam of the Heartless' eyes as they cried silent hymns of carnage and capture of the fool's heart.
Syn just shook his head and stepped away from Elaeus. His eyes were daggers as he put his left hand over one of the blade's crystals. The Synthesizing crystal shined with an ethereal light. "You have no reason to exist. You are just a wanderer here. You have no goals, no life... You will eventually just fade back into Darkness."
A smile crossed his lips and he stared down to the ground. "But me, I have a chance to redeem myself. I have a chance to recover the thing I am missing. Sin won't take me. I won't let him..."
Staring down at Virtegon, the black metal shined in the dull orange light of Traverse Town. The black crystal just sat there, without any form of life. The Dark Crystal... A crystal with Darkness infused inside. Little did people know, the Synthesizer had imprisoned his parasite inside. Still, Sin broke loose sometimes...
His glowing eyes shot back to Elaeus. "Why do you even bother living your half-life? Why even pretend to be human? What is your reason to do so? What is it that keeps you so bound to the duty of your organization?"
A Heartless was a selfish beast. He wondered why they could not see it themselves. Why didn't they all just die? There was no reason for them to exist, no place for them in this world... Or any world. They were an alien invasion to humanity, a predator who had no opposite.
But Syn had promised himself that he would gain redemption for his disease. He had a reason to exist.

"Don't assume things you don't know. Your assumptions are humorous and are too far off course from truth. You are far to dim witted to not even sense the contradictions you speak in a simple breath. Without the knowledge of me at all, you just blurt out anything that swarms into what is left of a mind. Funny how they say heartless are mindless, but you little one is making that statement truer by the moment. You're pretending more human in stupidity. You should know by now that the pretender isn't I."
Elaeus decided to not even glance at Ela once speaking that statement. He had his own speculation about the Pyro was too a heartless in denial. Elaeus snorted before chuckling.
"You ask so many questions after making your own assumptions. If I have no reasons to exist, then I can't possibly answer your question. If I'm just a vagabond, who denies myself being a heartless seeing my condition as a peddy disease and thinking my endless ignorance will soon be redeemed by walking in circles in an abyss of non-sense, then I wouldn't be bound to anything. Only a vagabond would wander and bother living what is thought to be a half-life, which is actually a lie. I think you would be able to answer those question far more easily than I can, because I can't relate." The Heartless mocked him with a straight face.
"You can learn by shutting up, accepting, listening, and watching. It's obvious you learned nothing, but that I am a threat to you, and I can easily end your little road to a cure to your disease."
Syn stepped farther back, and felt a pulse. Maybe it was fear, maybe it was anger. All that he knew was that the emotion was weakening his defenses. He turned away from the Heartless, feeling his heart beat as he ran.
It couldn't be true. He had to exist... He was still human. Sin was just an attachment. It hadn't taken his heart... Had it? Syn sat in the shadows, with his back to the wall, and put his face in his hands. He had to find his memories. Without them, he didn't exist. It was a paradox: His reason to exist was to regain his existance. What was his purpose?

Cold eyes watched the heartless flee; the truth is hard at time to bear within any heart, whether it's corrupted, stable, or pure with light. Elaeus had ceased his own foolish vagabond years, which were taken in the infinite corridor of darkness. He thought he was lost in an abyss or an opposite universe triggered by the experiment he and his co-workers. Elaeus was one to stay up many nights to answer questions, and begin many trials to a single experiment.
In the back of his mind, he knew the probability of them loosing their hearts, their morals, and stripped into a simple immoral beings of darkness, monsters. Everyone would wish they were the golden central main character that no wrong can be laid upon, but that what seperated fantasy from realism. There were't any danger theme music playing when anyone was about to make the biggest mistake or fall in a ditch. Such thoughts of being untouched invincible left his mind, once accepting what he was now, a Heartless. The Heartless only felt pity that the little one had gone so long in the public wrapped in his own masquerade. Lies can easily confuse a path for another bringing one back at base one.
No matter, he may deal with the other soon, but his appearance was for one individual, the neo-shadow. "I doubt it would be thrilling for you to take him down at such...weak state."
He looked towards the little neoshadow, who remained quite inactive as the Heartless snarled back at the challenging pup, Synthest. With the new move of direction of everything, the group need to extend in numbers. Ansem had already approved of subordinates, Seed for example. This neoshadow shouldn't cause a problem to be denied. All one had to do is keep him satified with a new hunting ground and challenges, and surely there would be some in Twilight Town. There were numerous hearts to harvest in the nobodies birthplace.
"If you come with me, I assure there will be plenty of more hunts and hearts to have. It would only be soon before you are called." Ienzo is responsible for neo-shadows after all, and he should start his duties with this one as soon as possible. "There's no need to have children of darkness so farly seperated."
Jude rose back up out of the floor, and looked expectantly at Elaeus. With a thought, he reached inside himself, and drew out a clouded and gleaming crystal. He held it up for Elaeus to see.

"Well you little bundle of darkness," Elaeus chuckled, "so you have gotten a hold of her. Persistence pays, and you haven't forgotten, execellent." What a way to continue is day; not to long ago he was a bit annoyed, but this little neo-shadow had the works to make that go away by remembering a mere diamond fragment.
Kneeling down, he shortened the height difference between himself and the heartless before beckoning back the diamond filled with light. With a twitch of a smile, he ruffled the dark attennas feeling their bodies ripple past each other. He had a feeling when he first met him that he would like this heartless. It wasn't mouthy or troublesome like Relena and is more tolerable than Ela.
"There's no doubt that you didn't devour her heart, whatever that was left of it." The heart he held earlier gifted in the being's claws with the placement of the diamond. He didn't know if the heartless perfer or admiried the pets, so Elaeus ceased until seeing results. Standing back up, he looked towards the direction where the heartless in denial ran to. "There are others who bears the mark, but haven't been fully claimed by what they have."
One was the boy who was probably still cowering at truths. The other was somewhere else with a logo of a heartless, who is being pent up like a porcelian doll, a toy. Outcasts are easy to cultivate all one have to do is strick their interest to slaughter the solitude or their fulfillment.
