In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

It was a beautiful day at the Olympus Coliseum. The skies were clear, not a cloud insight. Well, there was one, just not the conventional sort; a powerful swordsman by the name Cloud Strife. He paced over to the arena, his black soled boots sinking slightly in the sand until he reached the solid platform made up of nine identical slabs. It was quite a large fighting area, making it ideal for the spiky-haired blond to use the large weapon on his back. It was a compilation of six swords all wrapped up in a bandage and interlocked together to form one huge sword that appeared as though it would be tough to wield in both hands. But Cloud, he seemed to lift it single-handed effortlessly. He pulled it up, over his shoulder and brought it down to his side where he left in a loose grip with the end of the blade resting on the battle field.
Cloud was here simply to fight and he didn’t know who his opponent was going to be, nor did he care. He had a lot on his mind, but needed to take a break. And well, Cloud’s idea of a break was a good fight. It would keep his mind of things for a while. If only an opponent would make an appearance soon…

Fearon Aris appeared on the Coliseum in a flash of bright light. He looked around, and saw a spiky haired blond in front of him. He drew his blade, it hissed as it slid out from it's sheath, and he held it beside him, waiting.
( ooc: We're probably supposed to wait for a Mod, but I trust that you won't cheat or anything, and I'm feeling impatient. So, I'm going to start without them. Hope this doesn't cause any problems... )
A skinny brown-haired teen, really, that was his opponent? He didn’t look much. But Cloud knew better than to assume that the kid didn’t know what he was doing; after all, looks could be deceiving. Well, Cloud was hoping so. He didn’t want an easy match – what he wanted was heated battle, a tough and gruelling match that would test his skills. Let’s just see if Fearon could provide such a challenge.
Suddenly, a magical transparent barrier enclosed the fighting arena so that the fighters couldn't escape their fate. And this triggered the crowd that had gathered to raise to their feet and begin shouting, cheering and chanting. They were ready for this fight just as much as the contestants were...
“…The name’s Cloud.”
Was all he said to his opponent, followed by a sigh. With the entire introduction Cloud was willing to offer out of the way, the spiky-haired combatant pulled up his sword in front of him. He gripped it tightly with both gloved hands as he spread his feet apart a little, the right slightly further ahead of the left giving him steady fighting position. Usually Cloud would charge forward with a powerful strike to set things off, but not this time. He simply waited, his mako-filled eyes glowing brightly as he stared at his opponent, watching closely for any sign of movement.

((I won't purposefully cheat, but if you see something just totally not right, tell me I'll take care of it.))
Fearon stared at his opponent. "Fearon Aris." He said reaching into his pocket, seeing that this guy was smarter than the average person, and out from his pocket he drew a glowing red orb, and stuck it into the hilt of his blade. His opponents blade was intimidating. If logice was anything to go by, the large blade could knock Orin out of his hands. Fearon stood, basically in the same stance as Cloud, ready.
Cloud stood, glaring at his opponent for a few seconds whilst he waited for them to make a move. But they seemed to take the same tactic; Fearon got into a balanced fighting position but neglected to attack first. And Cloud wasn't prepared to play the waiting game for too long, what was worse than just stood looking at your opponent? It wouldn't make good entertainment for the audience, would it?
So, without any more time wasted, Cloud charged forward, preparing to make his first attack. He dashed forward taking small but quick steps, hastily accelerating towards his opponent before leaping forward once he closed half of the distance between them. Now that he flew through the air, his loose-fitting black attire flapped and rippled in the cool breeze whilst he lifted both arm up above his head, the huge weapon he wielded going with them. As soon as he got into range, Cloud swung the devastating blade down towards his foe with both hands as he landed on the ground directly in front of Fearon...

Fearon stood calmly waiting for Cloud to get closer, and as he did Fearon readied the spell, building up the mana within himself. As Cloud jumped into the air, Fearon began to whisper the spell. "refle-" Cloud landed and his blade falling for Fearon's face, and he stood calmly, looking into Clouds eyes. "-ga." he finished, and the barrier was up. Clouds blade struck the barrier, which reflected the attack the barrier breaking in shards random cast flying in different direction's away from the epicenter, away from Fearon.
((Hope I got that right. I've screwed that spell up more than once.))
( ooc: I was under the impression that 'Reflect' type spells only reflected spells or magic, not sword attacks. But if this is your own, or a different, version of the spell, I can go with it. )
Cloud pulled his heavy weapon down with both hands, putting all of his strength into one attack. He had expected that Fearon would have moved, perhaps this battle would be much easier than he had thought if his opponent was going to allow a strike like that to hit. But that wasn't the case at all. In fact, as soon as his blade came down, it hit into a magical barrier. Although the barrier did shatter upon impact, Cloud's sword didn't pass through it, his wepon bounced off. It flew back almost smacking him back in the face but he manage to move his head aside, letting the First Tsuguri to fly over his shoulder. Luckily, the trained fighter was used to the large weapon and was able to keep hold with his right hand at least.
Thought, his left hand was busy anyway. With the shattering barrier, Cloud naturally turned his head away and covered his face with his left forearm. the magic barrier may not have been as shap as glass, but anything pointy can not be good sticking out of your eye, can it? So he protected his face, but leaving his side wide open. He had no choice, not when he wanted to keep hold of his weapon. Cloud's clothing was left with tears in various locations, trickles of blood escaping from most; the shattering barrier had cut into him in several places. Though, only shallow cuts. This didn't appear to be a good start for Cloud, but he had a feeling that the rest of the battle wouldn't go this way. Well, more he hoped that it didn't...

((Well, that would be true if this was a Final Fantasy RP, but in the Kingdom Hearts games, I've had the spell block everything from samuri blades, to a fire spell.)
Fearon was an honorable fighter, he didn't know what Cloud had up his sleeve, just Cloud didn't know what was up his, hence the Reflega spell. Fearon sighed, he wouldn't attack the open side. He'd wait, after all, the croud had paid for the their tickets, might as well give them a good fight. Plus, Fearon thought that the man wouldn't leave his side totally open without some kinda counter available, he was obviously skilled. Fearon watched, and waited.
Fearon didn't have to wait long, Cloud's side was only open for a second before he side stepped. As he did so, Cloud left his hand in pretty much the same place, only twisting his arm and flicking his wrist around; this meant that he was stood diagonally in front of Fearon, but his blade meanwhile was directly in front of the target.
With this seemingly strange position taken, Cloud then dashed forward pulling his blade up and forcefully swinging the blade horizontally parallel to the ground. The idea was that he would race past his opponent whilst his large blade sliced through. Obviously, he wasn't expecting that much, perhaps Fearon would block. But, even so, chances were he would be knocked back with the sheer weight and power behind the First Tsuguri. It was another attempt at a physical attack, hopefully this time would go better than the last...

Fearon ducked under the blade, deciding to take advantage of the blades sheer weight. "Gravity." he whispered, and just above where ever Cloud decided to stop his attack and hold his blade, appeared a dark orb, pushing everything under it down.
(I don't know if I'm reading your post right, If i've made a mistake, I'll take care of it)
With Fearon ducking and the First Tsuguri missing it's target, Cloud had stopped the swing after it passed over his head. And just when he was about to swing it back again, the thing suddenly dropped down. The weight was suddenly increased dramatically; two, maybe three times the weight, there was no way he could lift it like this.
Fearon's magic was beginning to irritate Cloud, and so, he decided it was time to cast some magic back. Cloud raised his left hand, releasing his grip on the weapon with that hand, and flames flickered around his gloved palm. Suddenly, a burst of flames shot from it, spreading out as if they were shot from a flame thrower straight towards Fearon hoping to scorch hand burn him.
Hopefully, if he lost his concentration his spells effect would stop...

Fearon saw the flames forming on clouds hand, and readied himself to dodge. As the flames burst for him. He jumped out of the way, but the flames didn't hit the floor and vanish without doing something. They singed his hand, and jumped back from Cloud. Switching his blade to his off hand, and shaking his hand in an attempt to cool it down. "Ouch." he muttered to himself. Yeah, he'd definatly lost his concentration, and because of that, the spell ended itself, releasing Clouds blade. He looked to Cloud. So, you have magic too. he thought. Cloud, as Fearon guessed by the sword, was more of a strength fighter. If Fearon could match Clouds strength with his own speed, then this battle could be a little easier. He got into a specail stance. His feet apart, his left pointed ninety degrees from his body. The other pointed straight for Cloud, Orin held next to his right shoulder, pointed at Cloud. He watched, his katana reflected the light from the sun as it curved.
Although the fire spell hadn't done any serious damage, that burn on his hand would heal in a day or two, but it's primary objective of distracting Fearon had worked perfectly. The gravity spell wore off and Cloud almost swung his blade up accidently, seeming to get used to the huge weight increase. He adjusted back to normal quickly, retaking full control over his weapon again.
And as he turned his head back to his opponent, the blond saw Fearon stood in another ready stance. He wasn't much of an attacker, seeming to stick to defensive moves or magic. Maybe it was time to get the crowd going, give them there money's worth; time to get some action in this battle. Cloud lifted his weapon of and twizzled it over his shoulder holstering it on his back as he spread his legs and pushed his fists forward. As he did so, glows of various colors and symbols surrounded him. That was how it began...
Suddenly, the blazing sun faded and was almost completely blocked out as thick clouds began to cover the skies, dark and swirling menacingly. From what appeared to be only a small hole in the the dark covering, a form began to fall from within spiralling down as it fell. Until it was only a few feet above the Coliseum when the figure came to a stop, spreading out a pair of beautiful wings. The beast let out an ear piercing roar before casting it's gaze down upon Fearon, the target it was summoned to obliterate. The beast the looked down on the teenager was none other than the legendary dragon king, Bahamut!

Fearon stared confused as Cloud, held out his fist, then steeled himself as colors began to glow, then gritted his teeth when the sky darkened. Oh... dear... lord. he thought to himself looking up to the dragon, he gulped, now he wished that he had transformed. And his wish was soon to be granted, a force now erupted in his abdomen. Well, he fell to his knees, dropping Orin which fell with a clatter he held his abdomen. Shakingly, he looked up to Cloud with a smile. "This is going to be very good." he said, just as he finished, he was encased in an orb of light. Which stayed for about five seconds before breaking with the sound of breaking glass. Where Fearon had stood, stood something made of shadow flesh, yellow globs for eyes, and no clothes, instead his skin folded and froiled around his waist, creating something that resembled a pair of pants. Two blades floated at his sides, he drew them and looked to Cloud, and Bahamut, ready for just about anything.
