In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Trouble. That was one thing that Mendy needed to avoid getting into. The thought of searching the other districts seemed kind of fun, but 'bad people' like the Nobodies hung around there so it was a no-go. Sadly this left her with nothing to do.
There were a few boutiques and cafés here. All cutesy places. This was the only 'decent' district. Most likely thanks to all those hooligans that ran around elsewhere. Man, how the blonde would have loved to run with those kind of people- to an extent. All they came with them was trouble- but that trouble did sound like fun. Maybe she'd go there sometime, but for now she'd hang out here.
Looking upward, Mendy took note of the sunset. It's intense red and orange hues were quite beautiful, but that also meant that it was a little past dinner time for herself. Hopefully, her mother and father wouldn't be too angry with her for staying out. She just needed something fun to do and past the time...
Fearon sat on top of a roof, looking to the same sunset. He breathed in the cool evening air, and soon saw a blonde with long pigtails. He sighed, and looked back up to the sunset. So beautiful. It took his breath away, the clouds gathering around the sun, which painted them red-orange.
Another sigh escape her lips before she scooted off and into a store. Another typical, cutesy boutique. It had nice outfits- nothing Mendy could afford right now though- and a few jewelry displays. This small building sold 'one-of-a-kind' good supposedly. The blonde felt like she had seen most of it all before though.
Bending over, Mendy eyed some of the bracelets and necklaces behind the glass. Her big blues seemed to sparkle as she saw a few things she actually liked- one of them being a small bracelet with a chocobo charm on it. They're said to bring good luck- then again just about anything is said to be good luck. Didn't moogle paws bring good luck also? Ugh. The pointless confusion brought by pointless trinkets.
'Wastes of money...' The girl thought before heading out of the store. For some reason she felt slightly awkward when she exited the store with nothing as proof of her journey there. Eh. She didn't need anything there.
Looking back up as she saw the beautiful sun still hanging in the sky. How long had she been in there? Apparantly not very long. Maybe five or seven minutes at the most. She felt the urge to past the time...The sunset was quite luxrious to watch, but Mendy needed a better view. A roof! that would be good.
Stumbling up an outdoor staircase, Mendy slowly made her way up to the top of the building. A silent prayer escaped her lips at the thought of making a wrong step and falling to her death. Such a morbid thought, but a girl had a right to a few morbid thoughts, didn't she? Blinking her eyes innocently, she realized that someone else was up here.
After flinching slightly, she was tempted to leave and not interupt the person. They seemed to be an odd folk- that probably brought trouble with them. Something that the blonde had been hoping to not find. Aw shucks- what did she have to lose?
"Hi ya." Standing straighter, the girl slowly walked over to the boy. He was shorter than her by a few inches- something that Mendy was used to- and had straight hair that went to his shoulders. Lucky duck. She would have killed to have been born with straight hair.

Hi ya.
Fearon heard the voice, and slightly jumped, he turned his head, and eyed the girl from he'd seen on the ground moments earlier from the corner of his eyes. "Hey." he responded, and he was about to offer her a seat, when she decided to take one fro herself. He guessed that she was here for the same reason he was. A bit of peace. So he said nothing else, and just looked to the sunset, taking in it's beauty. The average human only laid eyes on about thrity thousand sunsets, well, out of those thirty thousand, the average human only laid eyes on a sunset like this maybe two hundred times. Either way, Fearon wanted to get every sunset, and every second of them. He took a breathe, the air was cool, crisp, and refreshing in his lungs. He smiled, thinking of a sunset he'd watched with his mother a long time ago. Such easier times, no heartless, nobodies, or gummi ships, no worlds. Just him, his friends, and his mother. He wished, for anything more in the world, just to see his mother just once.
As she settled into her spot, Mendy was surprised that the boy didn't introduce himself or say anything for the matter besides a simple greeting. Odd. Maybe he was one of those anti-social types who hung around on roofs and sniped random people- wait a minute, did people like that even exist!? Only in Mendy's mind.
"I'm Mendy." The blonde muttered before pouting slightly over the lack of interaction. All well. She would take what she could get. Exhaling, Mendy gazed up at the sky. It was a nice sight. The colors sort of reminded her of a painter's greatest masterpiece. Something that would be hung up in a musem for future generations to see.

"Oh, I apologize. Some call me Fear, others call me Fearon, but none call me Fearon Aris" He introduced himself, in his own unique style, and smiled, showing his white teeth. "My entire name is Fearon Aris. But my friends call me Fearon. My closest friends call me Fear." he said, attempting to clear up any confusion that may have resulted in his original introduction. "Are you here for conversation?" he asked.
Thankfully, Mendy was a smart girl and understood what he was saying the first time he said it. 'What an odd guy. Sometimes people like him make me feel normal, but he seems decent. Not too insane or too loud. Besides this might means I get to talk more.'"It's okay. I guess you could say I'm here to chat. I was more or less bored out of my mind. Mom and Dad are probably at home swearing about how their daughter just runs off when she feels like it." She laughed before losing her current train of thought to temporarily zone out.
The boy before her said he was Fearon Aris and that all his close friends called him Fear- while the rest mainly just called him Fearon. Normally, she'd adapt to calling him something shorter such as Fea or Fear, but since they had just met it would be common curtosy to call him by his name, Fearon. For now at least. Damn, she thought about things too much.

Fearon laughed, remembering himself before his world was swallowed. "Yeah. Hold on to these days for as long as you can. Sometimes, the rest could be far worse." he said looking down at the town before him. The accesory shop, the caf'e, all the people. He didn't particuarly want it. One or two people were good enough for him. Other than that, he'd rather immerse himself in either technology, or nature. Neither had never betrayed him, or angered him. They were constant, the only constant in his life anymore. "Well, I came here to relax. Lucky for you, I consider talking a form of relaxation." he said, his face to the sun, his eyes looking to her out of the corner of his eyes.
"Rest? You make out like I'm allowed to live my life to the fullest. I feel like a caged bird sometimes- you know? Like I'm being shackled down by adults aka my parents." The blonde replied almost smuggly in an odd ramble of words. She really needed to work on not being a speed-talker and on actually focusing on what she was saying. Such an insane chatter-box she was.
Mendy began to twirl a random strand of hair, from one of her pigtails, in her finger. She looked out at the town. Her gaze scanned the area. People were out and about. This was a good time of a day for shopping, but soon people would return home as night was closing in and bad things came out at night. 'Along with bad people.' Was the blonde's final thought on the subject of what appeared alongside the stars in the sky. "Talking- besides sleeping- is the ultimate form of relaxation. I thought everyone knew that." She spoke, but didn't turn to face the boy.

The girl talked quickly, but Fearon could make out most of it. He chuckled slightly. "You remind me a lot of myself a while ago. I felt the same way. Now, I would give anything to be back with my mother." he said. "Like I said, hold on to these days." He looked out to the sun.
Talking- besides sleeping- is the ultimate form of relaxation. I thought everyone knew that.
"Depends on who your talking to. If the person annoys you, it's not gonna be very relaxing now is it?" he asked calmly, staring at the clouds. It would be night soon, Heartless would be out and about, looking for the straying heart.
Mendy raised an eyebrow at her current companion as though he wasn't sane- then again, who was in this world of oddities and wonders? She felt like her mind was in Wonderland- literally. It would be nice to travel there one day, but her parents would never allow it under any circumstances.
"What's the point of holding onto memories that will only bore me? They seem so useless." The blonde spoke as this mysterious boy had her full attention. Well maybe he wasn't that mysterious, but you better believe he was the most interesting person for her to meet in awhile. All these routines had her tired of the same old, same old. Mendy flinched slightly when he mentioned annoying people and how they weren't relaxing. Was he trying to send her some kind of message? Like maybe how she was annoying him and wanted her to buzz off? Aw crud. Had she screwed up again?

Fearon stretched, yawned, and fell back onto his back. "Memories of times past, of your parents and loved ones are the greatest memories. I take it you've never been off of this world? Well, when you travel from world to world as I have, you begin to miss the 'boring days'." he told her. "Memories of times past are never useless. The past has made us into what we are today. Our expirances form our character. Our past forms us into what we are. Without our pasts what would we be? Who would we be?" he said looking to the sun. He sat up and took a breathe. "The one who forgets his past, forgets himself."
"No...never...." The girl mumbled before propping her chin on her hand. Her words were a wispy sigh as she stared off into the sky. How many other people were looking into their own sky wishing to be somewhere else? Would the sky still look the same elsewhere?
The more Mendy thought about it, the more right Fearon seemed- but sometimes it was good to start anew. Forget about the past and just let it all go. Originally that was why her family had moved her- aside from the fact that their home in Twilight Town was destoryed."But if the past affects our character, then so does our future- and what kind of future lies for a girl whose stuck at home?"
Post by fearonaris on Apr 27, 2009 20:02:09 GMT -4
"You can't expirance the future. For the future has not happened yet. Your mother and father could die, and everyone else who you love and care for could be brutally slain before your very eyes. You heart would be hardened and your mind filled for a lust for revenge. You, haven't had that happen to you. So of course, your heart isn't hardened, and you mind, has no lust for revenge. The future isn't a definate, but a possability. We can never know what's coming. We just simple ride through. Only when you die has your character fully blossomed into what fate designed." he looked to her. "If the future affected our character, then toddlers who's parents die in front of him sixteen years down the road, would be a hard hearted guy whose mind lusts for revenge. But he couldn't obtain the revenge for which he lusts, because he has no reason for the lust." he said, and looked out back to the clouds. "You understand?"
"I guess." The girl's voice spoke half-heartedly. "I understand that one's actions and thoughts make up who were are and what happens to us is a test to see how we will react and helps build our personality. Something like that I suppose." She shrugged her shoulders before sighing like she had done not that long ago.
"Tell me...what is it like to see other worlds? Is it fun to travel to them? Meet new people and see new places?" It all seemed too good to her. Just running around with not a care in the world and hoping to not meet up with heartless or nobodies. After all, those things could kill a person.
