In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Max laughed as Erika said she'd take his word for it that he was fine, since she didn't see any reason to not believe him.
"You'd better believe me," he said, laughing still as she walked through the gate,"And, this is not a different personality. This is my usual personality, just slightly......happier and less focused. I can assure, I am the same Max you met in Twilight Town."
He chuckled and brushed her hand away as she poked him on top of his head, indicating for her to follow him with a wave of his hand as he walked over to the ledge right in front of the gate and jumping down on top of the large, broken crate below and then down to the ground, turning right down the small alleyway and walking through a hole in the wooden barricade at the end.
"It's not much further," he said, poking his head out of the hole he'd just crawled through to look at Erika just on the other side,"We're almost to the door......if I can remember how to find it."

Erika followed him without hesistation. Funny how it seems that he knew is way around better than the townspeople. Every movement he made was a straight b-line. Now she stood outside a wooden gate that blocked from where they're supposed to go, but there was only a break in the wood that could be used as a doorway. Waiting, she watched him crawl inside and followed suit as his head dissappeared to the other side.
"I can conclude that you have been here before. If so why didn't you get your information earlier, or were you sent on a wild goose chase into Twilight Town?" The gunslinger asked, while wiggling her frame through the splintered entrance. Honestly she barely knew anything about Max besides that he was in Twilight Town looking for information finding nothing and traveling back to Traverse Town, a world he obviously been to before. "What are you looking to find anyway?"
She missed her moment to know about that in Twilight Town thanks to a icecream that didn't stand on its own stick. Instead of properly getting to know him, she fled to a nearby bathroom, accidentally teleported to a new world, return with Rubix, and battle wierd white slim creatures, dusks.
(lol. actually, no, it's Shun's turn. lol. got it wrong. lol.)
Max chuckled as Erika asked him why he hadn't come here sooner for information instead of going to TWilight Town. Apparently, she'd never dealt with a mob before, because anytime you dealt with the mob.......there was a price.
"Why didn't I get my information here instead of trying to find it in Twilight Town? Quie simple: when you get a favor from the mob, no matter how small, they expect something in return, and you never know what that might be. It could be anything from simply delivering a package to killing a young child. I've dealt with these guys before and, luckily, I only had to help them move something. I doubt I'll be so lucky this time."
He walked up to a stack of crates at the end of the alleyway, keeping them from getting to the area in back of the hotel. He looked around and walked over to the wall near the crates and checked the stones, running his hand along the mortar at their edges, finally finding a small nook in the stone, sliding his finger into the slot and pushing.
As he pushed, a small doorway opened.
"Quick! Get inside before it closes," he said, quickly slipping through to the other side, motioning for Erika to follow.

(aaah bite me)
Although this information he wanted was important, it wasn't worth getting a possible immoral task like slaying a mere child. It seems everything isn't as wondrous as it seem here. Here in a world that seems a bit peaceful she was oblivious to such activities until now. Erika wondered how much does the townspeople know about what lurks in the shadow of their world. If they could barely give directions about a where about of a foreigner who stands out like a mosquito bump, then the knowledge of a mob would be quite slim as well.
He travels the worlds looking for one thing and deals with mobs. What else does he put up with?
Her brows wrinkled in curiousity as Max walked up to a dead end; a pair of arms crossed over her chest, while leaning on the hotel's cold bricked wall. What in the world could he possibly be doing. The silence was broken as a motion blur passed her peripheral vision, a door opened. Not needing to be told twice, Erika darted inside.
"...hidden doors. Are you serious? Anything else I might need to know. Well whatever you're looking for must be worth it all."
"If you consider restoring a home you love and saving everyone you ever knew a worthy cause, then yes........It is worth it," Max said, looking back at Erika with a small smirk as the door closed behind them, leaving them in darkness. He felt along the wall until he felt a small switch and flipped it, small tubular lights turning on inside the small, cramped corridor.
"Now, follow me, stick close, and.....don't touch anything," he said to Erika, motioning her to follow him,"They are really rather......touchy about people touching their stuff."
He led the way through the corridor, pausing at intersections and picking paths that led down, the thing tubular lights giving them just enough illumination to see their path. After walking for just a few minutes, they were challenged by a guard who seemed to materialize out of nowhere.
"Well.....if it isn't Maxwell the delivery boy.....," the big burly man said,"You know the drill.....leave your 'big pointy stick' here, along with any other weapons."
The man looked over at Erika, sizing her up, looking her up and down, and then said,"Same goes for your lady friend."
Then, the man stepped back and was again unseen, seemingly vanished into the walls.
Max turned to Erika and said,"Well, you heard the man......guns and spears go no further. Set them in that little alcove there....," he siad, pointing to a long, thinl depression in the wall, walking ove and setting his spear inside. and waiting for Erika to do the same with her handguns.

After being engulfed in darkness, Erika shifted over closer towards Max's voice and ended up bumping into him. Her eyes scanned wearily looking for any source of light to have an idea of where she was at. A sigh of relief escaped her lips once hearing a click followed by luminating lights.
"You don't have to tell me twice," the gunslinger muttered lowly. Her hands were deep in her pockets with curled fingers forming fists. Her eyes continued to look about taking mental notes, while looking out for anyone or anything to be exact. Her body nearly stiffened at an unfamiliar voice, while her hands quickly kissed her two pistols. Stepping to the side, she got a view of the stranger; her nose wrinkled as he studied her.
She nearly snorted at the request, well demand. Grabbing her pistols, she followed Max relunctantly and softly placed Elisa and Eleanor inside. She doesn't like the depature from her valuables after all they are named after those close to her, even if she barely knew her mother. Not really pleased at being stripped away from her weaponry, her arms folded over her chest. Still deep inside her fanny pack she had bullets, her mp3 player, and her teleporting orb.
"Now, we keep going," Max said, giving Erika a smile to reassure her,"Eleanor and Elisa. They'll be safe here. And if there's any trouble.....well...."
He grinned and winked at her,"I can't quite say right now, but.....you know."
He turned and continued leading the way through the corridor, through just a few more turns until they came to a door with more large burly guards, standing there with their feet apart and their hands behind their backs.
"Good evening, gentlemen," Max said,"May we be admitted?"
One of the guards turned his head to look at them, and then opened the door, saying,"Be careful....Boss is in a bad mood."
"Thank you," Max said, nodding to the man with a sigh. If it didn't rain, it poured. The Boss being in a bad mood wasn't good. They would have to be careful, or he might order them shot right then and there.
"Well...here goes. Stick close, Erika, and tread carefully. We don't want to make the Boss even angrier," Max said, glancing back at Erika before walking through the door.
As they stepped through, they came into a room that didn't look at all like it was underground. It looked like the entrance hall of a mansion, very large and ornate, decorated with all kinds of expensive things: a pair of crystal chandeliers, paintings, and various other things.
"And this," Max said quietly to Erika, leaning over close to her ear so only she could hear him,"Is why it's a bad idea to touch."

A skeptical look flowed on Erika face at smiling wink before sighing momentarily glancing back at the alcove before looking a head,"Yet again, I'll take your word for it."
Seeing more guards, the gunslinger had to hold back a snort,Seriously do they have auditions for this kind of thing. I can see the signs now...Big creepy guys who can stand like stone and poof like fairies needed. The thought were kept to herself, while comedy flickered in her eyes.
Now looking at the entire scene of a whole, it reminded her too much of home and her mother--foster mother, Queen Gwendolyne. Before her was the similar set-up at that far distant palace. The guards would stand with their guns, a weapon only legal for the army. The pistols she have were practically for police, but they soon merged with the army. If they weren't under order of the queen her home would practically be in a military dictatorship.
Inside this boss awaits like how the queen would. Their attitude of the day can easily sway any situation, which forces incomers to be as delicate as possible. A mere sign of disrespect even a sneeze would send her mother on the edge. Sure the queen tried to arrange the palace for Erika and Elisa were blocked from political affairs, but Elisa always found out and only share bits and pieces to Erika until she, Elisa, planned to escape.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Erika felt a bit lost, but nodded at Max before following close behind his heels. Her eyes scanned the grand entrance as the underground secrecy theme ended to start the theme of luxury. She knew to keep her hands to herself; her mother-- well Elisa had taught her well not to.
..Compared to this world, the hierarchy is like a mob....but home was worse.. People tend to go insane when it came to the possibility of being overthrown.
Max led the way through the room to the other side, up the wide staircase facing them. He led them up the stairs to a pair of double doors at the top, with a butler to one side.
"Nice to see you again, Maxwell," he said,"You wish to speak with the Boss?"
"Yes, I do, thank you," Max said, giving the man a pleasant smile,"Is he free at the moment?"
"He is," the butler said,"Shall I announce you to him?"
Max took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. Meeting with someone powerful like this always rattled him just a little. Fighting against the Heartless with near impossible odds? That was easy. He'd done it so many times he couldn't even count them all. Meeting with someone who could have him ordered dead at any moment? Not quite as easy.
"Yes, please," Max said, nodding at the butler,"That would be appreciated."
"I will let him know you're here," the butler said, going through the doors.
"Well," Max said, turning to Erika,"We just.....wait now. I wish we didnt' have to though....I'm nervous enough as it is......waiting'll just make it worse."

It seems that the wealth of Traverse Town was stuck in one district or cultivated to one person and lineage, this boss. The first district looked old with bricked stone floor and candelights; the second district was more modern than the first, but this area within the zero district trumped them all. She looked down at the staircase noticing them to be marble; she can already feel the chill from it, since the material hardly absorbed heat.
The entire walk was like a sense of deja vu, so Erika was hardly surprise to see an annoucer standing at the double door before them. Watching the proper mannerism made her feel too much at home. The only difference is that she was no longer a part of the aristocrat stature with high respects as a princess anymore; she was a commoner asking for a favor. Hopefully here was a bit generour; her mother was the anti-thesis of generousity thanks to paranoia. The trade of places made her feel uneasy, because for years she has been guarded from events like these, which learned hardly ended nicely.
"I think they want that...for you to be nervous." That was all her mind was able to come up with. Her sense of security was also drained; Eleanor and Elisa weren't at her sides...literally. She still had her teleporting orb; it all narrowed down to how quick can she get it. Thinking a head, her hand wiggled in her fanny pack, while pulling out a headphone ear piece before wiggling into Max's ear. Her other hand gripped the teleporting orb, then both hands were back in her pockets...keeping to themselves.
"There," she pushed the play button, which stopped the shuffle and selected a song, "something to soothe you."
Max laughed quietly and looked over at Erika, listening to the music coming through the earpiece. He still found that little machine of hers interesting. They hadn't had anything even similar to this in his homeworld. The most advanced thing they had were the airships that used windstones, stones that held wind magic, to fly.
"Thanks," he said,"I still wanna know how these things work. I know you've explained it, but....I still don't understand."
He chuckled a little and looked at the doors again, still firmly shut.
"And, yeah, I know they want us to be nervous waiting," he said,"But, we can't let them rattle us......All we need to do is stay calm......."
Now all I need to do is follow my own advice, Max thought to himself, Erika's music still sounding in one ear.

Erika stiffled a laugh; it was amusing seeing how the little gadget can intrigue someone so much. She decided that indulging him in an explanation would be enough of a distraction from the nervousness that shivered off of him.
The gunslinger sigh in over exaggeration humor, "It sounds like a moment for a recap. This thing some how holds music by storage almost like how my pistols can hold my energy. These little buttons just switch to different songs." Digging in her fanny pack, she tossed the small thing at Max to catch. "Go button crazy."
While the mp3 player worked some of its magic, Erika's eyes narrowed at the double door wondering what could be going on inside. If her world was minimized it would be like Traverse Town; if her mother was a tyrannt, then this boss must be one as well especially if he may ask a death of a child. Her brows and nose wrinkled in disgust.
She wished she had her pistols. Even though she felt an intense amount of guilt watching her bullet swirl into the skull of her mother's head, she would do it again...if she had to. Then again, there was a difference, her home was severely affected from her mother. How many people in Traverse Town are truly affected by this mob, or are they being hush hush and oblivious purposely?
Max laughed, catching the mp3 player as Erika tossed it to him. He looked at it, looking at the buttons and their symbols. What did they mean? There was an arrow pointing to the right, a pair of parallel lines, and then two buttons with two arrows pointing to either the left or right and a line in front of them.
"Which buttons do what?" he asked her, laughing again,"I don't know what these little symbols mean."
As he moved to hand the mp3 player back to her, the doors opened and the butler appeared again. He held the door open and motioned them through, saying,"The Boss will meet you now."
"Thank you," Max replied, taking the earphone out of his ear and handing that back to Erika as well, leaning over and saying quietly,"Here we go."
He walked through the door into a long hallway, the butler following them and closing the door behind them, then leading them to the door at the end and opening it as well, and allowing them to enter.
As they stepped inside, a man stood up from his chair and walked over to them. He looked like he was in his early to mid-twenties with short, pitch black hair that had a small shock of gray running through it near his left temple.
"Well, Max, it's good to see you again," the man said, giving a pleasant smile and shaking Max's hand,"And I see you've brought a friend."
The Boss moved over and took Erika's hand in his own and kissed it, then looked up at her and said,"It's my pleasure."
Then, he straightened and looked at the both of them, moving back to his own seat and said,"Come sit down, my friends, and tell me what it is you need."
"And so the haggling begins.....," Max said, looking over at Erika as he moved to sit down in one of the seats on the other side of the Boss's desk.

Erika was about to explain the buttons, but the moment had to be canceled; the boss was finally free to welcome his guests at his time. She didn't even the notice the annoucer come in. Grasping the mp3 player and the earphones, she started to wrap the phones around the small gadget to drop it back inside of her fanny pac for safe keeping.
Patiently, she waited for the bulter open on of the doors and led them inside. She walked a little further following Max's lead hearing the door close behind her with a thump. Erika wasn't surprised to be led to a hallway versus the actual room of meeting. It seems luxuries always had the unnecessary. Again the bulter was their escort, a silent one. He spoke nothing, and so were they. It made the journey to this boss more uneasy with the awkward pressuring silence. The chill from the marble flooring made the entire hallway cool. The exprensive vases and artwork that decorated the hall made the entire mansion look like a museum rather than a home. The only thing that felt "homey" was the long carpet leading towards the office or room they were about to enter; it was the inevitable as the bulter opened the door allowing them inside without following to close the door.
...and it all begins...
Her thoughts shattered once seeing a very young man approach them. This must be the "boss" since he knew Max by name. He appeared generous with his smiling welcome, which was a great contrast. No one would be uneasy with a man who would simply smile and give warm greetings. Already Erika was uneasy by the aloof welcoming appeal; it was a part of the 'to good to be true' especially when one already know it wouldn't turn out as good as they hope.
Being the complete stranger, who's trying to be a pleasant visitor, Erika simply smiled at his welcome, while surpressing her eye to twitch and her skin to crawl at the kiss on her hand. Taking the offer, Erika sat in the remaining chair next to Max that faced the dark mahagony desk.
"So," the Boss said ,sitting behind his desk and folding his hands together on top of the large wooden furniture, facing Max and Erika,"What is it you need?"
Max glanced over at Erika where she sat beside him and leaned forward in his seat, resting his elbows on his knees. He cleared his throat and said,"Well....it's actually more of a what I need. You see, Erika's just kind of helping me right now.
"Anyway, as you know, my homeworld was destroyed by the heartless, and I'm trying to find a way to restore it. Well.....I'm having trouble getting started with finding my information, and.....I was wondering if you could help me find a place to start."
Max leaned back in his seat again, sitting straight against the back of the chair as he finished talking, the Boss echoing his silence as he thought. Then, he nodded.
"I can help you," he said,"But, it may take time to get the information you want. How soon would you want it?"
"As soon as possible," Max said, shrugging,"I'll still be moving around through the worlds, so, I'm sorry if that's an inconvenience, but I cannot afford to quit looking for a way to destroy the Heartless. Will that be an inconvenience?"
"Not at all," the Boss said, shaking his head,"My men will be able to track you down no matter where you are."
Max nodded,"Well, then, that's all. Is there anything you need me to do for you?"
"Not at the moment," the Boss said,"But, you already know, you owe us. We'll have you doing something at some point."
"I do. Just let me know whenever you need something," Max said, standing.
"I will," the Boss said, standing as well and sticking his hand out toward Max, who took his hand and shook it,"I trust you know the way out by now?"
"That I do," Max said, motioning for Erika to follow him,"It was a pleasure."
With that, he walked off, Erika behind him, passing through the doors into the hallway beyond and lettin gut a huge sigh of relief.
