In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Darkness fell away from a figure as they entered the arena. Relena brought a hand to her side and clutched tightly onto the bag carrying her spheres. She was up against Braig and figured that he knew her outfit already, and the tricks that were carried with it. So, today she wore the outfit she usually wore on missions, a silver cloak. It had about thirty open zippers on the whole thing, giving Relena the advance of being able to hide any sphere in each pocket and making the enemy guess where they were. Though they had a 2 in 3 chance of guessing correct, at least there was a possibility of guessing wrong. The pouch she stored her spheres in today was silver and matched the color of her spheres.
She had heard that you could die in this tournament if you were not careful enough, luckily Relena wasn't the type to be careful in a fight. Surely she wasn't stupid enough to die unnecessarily, but she couldn't let Braig win either. For all she knew, Elaeus was in this competition too, and she hoped that he had lost the first round. For at least three of the Dark XII members to enter the contest like this made her worry that someone would find out about the lutetium sphere that she lugged around everywhere. Braig worried her the most, he usually blackmailed her if he found out something she didn't want anyone to know about. All she could say for know was let the games begin and as the last bit of darkness fell away, she took up a stance of pride and waited for the beach bum to enter soon.
"Dude, which way to the arena again?" asked a very confused Braig, to a wandering spirit, who, mouth agape; not due to surprise, but do to constant moaning to be at peace, pointed him in the proper direction. "Thanks Dead-bro!" He set off towards the Underdrome arena, spotting someone already on the other side, Relena of course.
He smirked, and could not pass up the chance to humiliate Relena, warping to the tunnel behind her, onto the ceiling, he walked, when the celing rose higher, he merely walked through the air, until directly above Relena...accidentally dropping a Chocolate covered coconut mint onto her head, before warping down to the opposite side of the arena. He cracked his neck and yawned. He waved in the direction of Relena, whilst yawning, and conjured up his bow. "Babe! Good ta see ya!" As though he didn't just drop the candy.
do we go to the center? Hmm...Maybe, I'll just chill and wait. he thought to himself, and wait he did, picking at his teeth with the tip of an arrow.
Hades was rather excited about this match up. He even had a slight talk with Relena about it.
"Before the match begins I'd like to say this. There will be a certain handicap applied to one of you. Just to spice things up."
A snap of the fingers was all it took. And...was gravity getting...Heavier around Braig? A small blue smoke circled the arrows as well canceling their GRAVITY magic alone. All other magic in them is still active. At the same time small sparks of electricity filled the arena as the barrier flew up to surround the fighters.

She could sense Braig's energy as he entered the arena, no doubt using his gravity power to his advantage. If he did his usual routing, dropping water or some object onto her head, she would be ready. Already three spheres were located in the zipper closest to her neck. They quickly shot out and formed a sort of umbrella over her head in which the candy mint bounced right off of. She put out a hand to catch it, but obviously guessed wrong as it dropped to the side and missing her hand completely. Well, there went her cool move, but she still had asked Hades for an advantage.
"Babe! Good ta see ya!"
Sure, it was nice to see the person he loved to pick on but Relena was sure it would be nicer when she won this battle. The umbrella broke up into three spheres and begun to levitate around her head. She figured having them in her hand would present a problem if Braig were to attack from the back, there would be a body in the way and make them slower, already she looked back to the electrical barrier. Electricity was what she manipulated to make her spheres work, so already there was an advantage. She didn't expect Hades to give her this much of an advantage, but expected him to take it away during the battle, as for what the blue smoke rings canceled out, she'd have to figure out.
Relena seriously hoped that they made Braig's confusing arrows no longer work, those things were the death of her. Surely the battle had started now, and she looked at Braig curiously. How could one be so care-free in the beginning of such a battle? She sighed and began flashing through different weapons she could create in her mind, creativity to her was what mattered. The best weapon was one that was both offensive and defensive. Of course she didn't exactly know how to wield them, but when it was her spheres that formed the weapon she just seemed to figure out how to wield it quickly. Hopefully if she passed this round she would get a lightning user for the next round.
She spaced her feet apart more to give herself stability and shifted the three spheres into solid wall of steel, if Braig were to fire an arrow soon, she'd need to have her guard up and a weapon already shifted to block the arrow. She never attacked first and hoped that Braig would just attack already, if Hades wanted an interesting fight she was going to give him one.
((By WAIT, I expect you mean don't start the match...))
"Looks like the proverbial Cat has this Chicks tongue, oh well."
Braig could already feel the effect of Gravity bearing down on him..something he was used to. After all, he of course used his manipulative abilities over gravity to train, so it would take quite a raise to hinder him, and at that level, he would surely have his own orbit. His initial plan, was to take the battle to the skies. Keep Relena disoriented, by removing the ties Gravity held to her. But now, it seemed that it wouldn't work. The energy flow of his G-arrows had been disrupted.
No matter of course, Braig always had several backup plans. While his G-arrows would no longer work, he still had two others to resort to. The smirk that grew on his face would continue to grow as the idea got brighter in his mind. He almost wanted to chuckle at the thought of it...he could see it now...with that kind of movement, anyone would get sick and ralph...
All of these thoughts zipped through the Righteous Archer's head in less than 10 seconds, he was one for precision, after all. They were both ranged fighters, but regardless of whatever the conditions of battle...Braig still had the upper hand. Relena was using Three Spheres...and this worked perfectly to Braig's advantage. He pulled out three arrows, two of them green, and one of them red, and held them in position, loose in the string, pulled back slightly so it wouldn't take more than a quick movement to pull and fire.
"Well, we're not getting any Younger dudes, so can ya hurry this up?"

Three arrows would be coming at her, a good chance one of them was the distorting arrow, so she figured she couldn't have that happen. With the simple sheet of metal above her head she looked past Braig toward the barrier. Braig seemed to enjoy making her look like fool and would probably start whatever he was planning quickly to avoid losing the opportunity. She was sure that he intended her to use the sheet of metal as a barrier, which is what she used it for the first time, sadly she wouldn't be using it the second. The edges of the sheet thinned down into sharp edges and she backed up slowly to the edge of the barrier.
She reached behind her and brushed her fingers lightly against the edge of the barrier. A shock was sent through her and she grinned as a yellow spark shot up in her hands. This was new, she wasn't very often able to show a spark. Nevertheless, she now had a short advantage, maybe enough to beat Braig. The sheet of steel above her head slowly buzzed with the electricity that was now controlling it. She reckoned that the speed was now doubled, to the point where it was hard to track with your eyes. The purpose of the metal was the block the arrows, but in a different way than Braig was thinking.
Slowly spheres pulled themselves out of her pockets, each one beginning to hum and she watched Braig's expression carefully. Hopefully if he were about to make a move she would be able to catch it. But, he was the one to make the first move, to act before her and act quickly. Maybe she should switch things up for once. Braig dealt with arrows, so--like Relena--he most likely knew his weapon inside and out. Shifting her spheres into arrows was stupid, so they didn't shift into that. Any projectile that was going to look similar to an arrow, or work similarly was out of the question too.
She had 16 spheres to work with right now, who said that she had to keep them all the same weapon? Basically, it would be best to try a different weapon with each so that Braig couldn't find the weak spot and destroy all of them easily. First, she would need to find the points she would want to focus on, speed, effectiveness, durability. Quickly each sphere shifted into its own weapon. A razor disc, a long needle, a blade resembling that of a dagger without the hilt, and more. Relena kept one sphere in its original state just in case and held it in the palm of her hand. She lined it up in sight with the hand Braig used to hold his bow for. The command was clear, hit Braig but stay out of the line of fire. The arrows would be taken care of by the sheet of metal. Of course Relena also had her lutetium sphere which she could probably use for today if she got a clear enough shot of Braig. Again she ran the tips of her fingers across the barrier in case she needed to use her twentieth sphere.
Closing one eye she brought her other hand forward and placed it behind the sphere in her palm. Go she mentally smirked as she flicked the sphere forward and saw 16 different weapons suddenly vanish as they headed at high speeds toward Braig. She knew they would probably be evaded, but if she could land just one hit, maybe she could win. Four weapons flanked the sides of the assorted weapon line. They would each be going outside of the target zone in case he decided to dodge right or any other way. And even if he did go left and through the weapons off, Relena would be right there, controlling the movements of each and every one.
A grin. As soon as the spheres left his vision, he pulled back, releasing one green arrow towards Relena, pulling back once more, firing the Red arrow directly down into the ground at his feet. Instantaneously, he appeared high in the air (Either 20 feet, or as far up as the Barrier allows). The third of his first three arrows pulled back from the second he released the Red teleportation arrow. The barrer was obviously flowing with electricity. The hair on the back of his neck was standing straight.
He shot the second green Disorientation arrow straight for Relena from above, conjuring two more arrows, firing them each at an angle to the left side of the barrier closest to Relena, and the right side of the barrier closest to her, the trajectory simple enough, and the electric charge would help propel them away, directly at her sides, as Braig began shooting Red arrows all across the arena floor. 1/10 of it now covered in the gaping rips that the Teleportation arrows created.
His descent was over, and as he touched down, he quickly rolled to the side, into another of the portals, once more instantly high up in the air, holding an Arrow in one hand, spinning it between his fingers, and the bow in the other, keeping it always pointed at Relena, his grin never once leaving his face.
Hades snickered. "Time to make it more interesting" A thin blue smoke emitted from the barrier right above Braig and wrapped itself around his arrows. The third set of arrows he possessed seemed to come back to life and gravity become normal around him.

She counted four arrows, judging by the green color, these were the disorientating arrows. She was worried that they would be teleporting arrows, something she probably had to use a bit of speed to get rid of. Luckily, she knew he would fire disorientating arrows at her and she knew that they wouldn't harm her spheres. Quickly she set her hand on the back of the barrier and used the energy to make the steel shield zoom around and block the arrows. Sometimes it would push forward on the tips of the arrows to slow them down faster so that no arrow got too close. Sparks began to form on the tips of her fingertips. The electricity that was flowing through her felt to be too much.
The arrows were taken care of and she felt that she had taken on too much energy at once. Her knees shook slightly, something she didn't want Braig to see. But how could she get rid of all this power? It didn't matter if she knew or not, she felt that it would release itself from the palm of her hand in no time. Wait a second... she had been teased by one of the members about this before. 'You control steel with electricity but can't cast a simple lightning spell?' It was bothering her due to the fact that she couldn't even remember who said it, but she thought they most likely said it when she just joined the group.
A sort of crackling sound could now be heard. Sparks popped as she took on more electricity. Why, if she could build up enough power, maybe she could fire a lightning spell, in a different way. She looked at Braig, him sitting there with a grin on his face. How she would love to wipe it off his face and she smirked as she her a tiny fizz from her palm. She felt the lightning growing in her palm and before he could react she fired of a lightning attack the size of Thundara at him. Suddenly she was rid of all the energy and set her hand back on the barrier to gain more. Her weapons still pursued him and she made a note to not get hit by one of the teleportation arrows. If she was portal led somewhere it would have to be in the barrier and she didn't quite understand what Braig was planning.
The burst of Lightning shot towards Braig, quickly enough. But...he felt something...Yes..he wasn't being affected by the Gravity anymore..Perfect! He saw his opening...and knew exactly what to do. Spinning an arrow in hand, scraping several times against the barrier, causing drops of plasma to fall to the ground from the mixture of energy and electricity. She wasn't the only one who could use that to an advantage. The electricity from the barrier, along with Braig's own energies would mix together, and the normally blue arrow shifted to a hint of yellow, as Braig shot directly towards the Thundara, splitting it through the center. He almost got out of it unscathed, save for his upper forearms getting grazed by the two halves, making him bite his tongue silently.
He conjured up 3 Gravity arrows, and immediately shot them towards Relena's shields..he did indeed have a plan for this. Once the arrows had left his bow, he began dodging the spheres as fast as he could, taking blunt hits to the sides of his arms and legs, and no longer hindered by gravity, his speed was back to normal. His body twisting and turning in mid-air. Good thing those boots were thick, otherwise he wouldn't be able to push from the barrier either. He did so, and as he descended, quick reactions from years of balance training on the rough waves of the oceans, dodging, spinning and tucking his body, as he fired off a second volley of teleportation arrows, further increasing the amount of the Arena floor which would serve as a giant portal.
1/5 of the Arena now covered, and an ever-growing smirk on Braig's face, his shoulders slightly numb from the shock the Thundara gave him. The fun could start now, as he turned, facing towards the portals, and shooting a slew of regular energy arrows into them, instantly, they were sent to the top of the arena, hitting the barrier, and shooting around, Ricocheting off of the Spheres and Barrier walls, as well as Relena's shields...he now had some sense of where the spheres were, and he could further avoid them, hopefully he wouldn't get too many more bruises.
The energy in the arrows would get slightly replenished by the barrier's own energies, but they would only last so long before he had to refresh the arrows..and that could get taxing on him. He, after all, used his own energy to form them. He snapped his fingers, and three small shadow Heartless scurried out of the ground, twitchilly looking around, as Braig pointed towards Relena's little...fortress of shields, and the Shadows burrowed into the ground, zipping towards her. She could of course simply dismiss them..but if she did, she would lose precious seconds, which could be difference between victory and defeat.

((Her shield isn't that big o.o))
She rolled to the right as he evaded her Thundara and stood up quickly as an energy arrow flew past her cheek. A faint clink was heard among the loud noise of all the ricocheting arrows as the energy arrow ran into the sheet of steel which had stopped behind her after getting rid of the disorientating arrows. She had to watch her back, that arrow could have easily hit off the barrier and into her back. So she pressed her back against the wall, taking in energy like crazy, she wouldn't be surprised if the barrier fell down in about 10 minutes due to her taking energy from it constantly. In mid air her steel weapons suddenly dropped to the ground. When they landed they were once again spheres and she felt something underneath her.
She searched for what it was in her mind, grabbing ahold of the energy of three Shadows. She commanded them to leave not realizing that when she opened her eyes an energy arrow was now headed at her. "Dammit," she cussed, the first word she had spoken since entering the arena. Her shield zipped in front of her quickly and knocked the arrow aside. She figured that if she didn't have the energy boost she would have gotten hit by the arrow due to the slowness of her shield due to her late reaction. Quickly she fended off the arrows that bounced toward her while strategizing. All of her plans came down to one question however, and she wasn't the one that had the answer. She knew he would most likely lie, but if she were to go all out, she needed to know something. "Braig, are you at full power right now?"
Inside her mind she was sure that he still had a couple tricks up his sleeve, but she had never fought him before, so how should she know? She had a couple more moves left that she hadn't used, but she didn't need to use them if Braig was going to know her abilities and have her not know any of his. Stay in one spot... she figured that would be best. With Braig's speed he could easily find her location even when she was moving and have her not know her location. She extended her arms out to either sides of her and searched with both her eyes and mind for Braig. Her shield was still moving rapidly to get rid of the arrows, little twang sounds echoing whenever an arrowed ricocheted instead of stopping.
She found his position and grinned. Never did she realize how fun battles could be, but she supposed this was from fighting battles against people who simply couldn't win. People who she defeated within seconds of starting the battle. As if applauding him, she began to bring her hands together. Sadly, she wasn't applauding Braig anytime soon and as her hands met a wave of energy was sent toward the spheres. It would destroy any arrows in its path, and speeding up a couple that were on the very edges of the wave's reach. The spheres took off from the ground and launched themselves at Braig. It was more of a wall of spheres, all spread out so if he took the hit probably only 7 would hit him. The other 9 would be fanning out to the sides of him. He could dodge, but she was sure he would get hit. You see, Braig was fast, and he might be getting a boost from the barrier, but Relena was benefiting most from it. She figured that her spheres were just as fast--if not faster--than Braig was at this point.
All she could think as she watched on was how sore she would be next round, if she did win. Her shield was being overworked and she wondered that if the barrier dropped, who would run out of energy first. Surely without the barrier Braig wouldn't be having this unlimited amount of arrows. Pretty soon he would be drawing out too much of his energy and have to stop. She too would have to stop if her sphere had to constantly be fired but for now she felt no strain. Hades certainly did want to make this interesting when he put Relena and Braig together, both very strong, but what would make this more interesting was if he dropped the barrier. She figured he might be doing that soon and suck in more energy, this time only minimal amounts of sparks forming at the tip of her fingers. She needed her spheres to hit the target, even if it was only just a couple. They would do a bit of damage, give Braig a bit of a wound. It would be the day when she saw darkness coming from a wound she created. All she needed was to see Braig get wounded and her performance would increase. All she needed was hope.
