In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

"Watch out, you li'l rascal, you don't have a chance racing me!"
We'll see about that, the girl thought, sending said message to Ren's mind. Yes, she knew her father told her to not use her telepathy unnecessarily, but he had also told her to practice whenever she could.
Mallory giggled, reaching the height of the ark in her swing, and dismounting onto a tall branch in a squatting position. She quickly yanked on the rope, her discblade flying into her grip. The girl spun around on her heel, aimed, and threw the discblade at the farthest tree she could (about 4 trees down, to be precise.) Yes, Mallory was aware of how simian-like she looked whilst doing this, but its not as though she actually cared or anything. She formed an image of herself in her mind with monkey ears and a matching tail. At the thought, the girl couldn't help but giggle. Which turned into a laugh. Which turned into a guffaw. Which turned into her losing her grip and falling smack on her hindquarters on the unsympathetic ground.
She sat still for a moment. Only a moment. Then, she yanked the discblade out its previous position, aiming once more for a farther tree before swinging back through the air.
When she was sure she was far enough away from her motley crew, she sniffled, and wiped her eyes quickly against the rope.
"My ass hurts...."

When the thought entered her head, Ren was not unduly surprised.
That's to say, she still jumped about a foot in the air. She let out a shocked cry of, "What the f--!!" (and somehow managing to stop herself before finishing the phrase). But really, she should've expected like this. She'd traveled with people who could see the future, could make things rise up from the dead, could guess exactly what you were going to say next. Telepathy was not a far step behind any of those, so of course she was bound to run into something like that.
Then she was just annoyed, not surprised. Dur. Mal had probably used that to get a head start, the rascal. Ren picked up her pace, practically flying through the undergrowth. Yes, she was fast, nearly inhumanly so from all that practicing, but how the hell was she supposed to outrun somebody swinging from tree to tree? That was just impossible, unless you really were inhumanly fast.
She snickered slightly when Mal fell, her sadistic nature getting the better of her, before slowing her pace slightly and letting Mal swing far ahead of her. She glanced back to make sure Rook was still there - yup, that was his ridiculously colored hair, a splash of color in the dark greens and browns of the forest - before pelting off again, full speed, underneath the tree Mal had roosted in.
Ren cupped her hands around her mouth, tilting her head upwards. "Hey kidling! Y'all right!? That fall looked painful!"
Sure, her tone of voice was slightly rude, but it was hardly masking the true concern Ren felt. The pirate wrinkled her nose. Was she going soft?
Rook slipped through another dark portal. He reemerged behind a tree and on the ground ahead of Ren, giving her a light wave as he stepped from cover as she passed him, "Trouble keeping up?"
He jumped back, into another, reappearing ahead of her, poking his head out from another tree trunk with a smug grin, "Y'know... I could have sworn you were faster."
He waited for her to pass again before following her on foot, sprinting with large gapes and catching up to her with only some effort, "Aww, it's alright. Big brothers are supposed to be better then their sisters." He chuckled and gave her a wink to let her know he was only playing with her.
His arms whirled behind him, and he craned his back to get a better aim, "Guard Light!" The explosion kickedback, and Rook let his legs leave the earth, the force propelling him forward further. He kept the process up for a moment before closing his hand, coasting to the ground and running again. He was just about under the swinging Mal, and he held his arms outstretched for her, giving a whistle and a smile to let her know he was waiting to catch her.

((I feel terrible for being so late...))
Mallory was keeping on with her rather 'naturalistic' way of transportation when she heard the rustle of someone beneath her. She looked down and saw Rook, and smiled. She'd only known him for so long, and he was already looking out for he---
...wait a second. Was he EXPECTING her to fall? The jerk...
...well, it wasn't like she hadn't fallen before or anything, so his suspicions weren't entirely misplaced....
She stuck her tongue out at him playfully and grinned, "You dont have to worry about me, I'm not gonna hurt myself again anytime soo---"
The girl was soon cut off by her face smacking into a tree branch. Yes, one should pay attention while swinging through the trees...
Mallory was hanging by the rope of her discblade. Okay, now she was kind of grateful that Rook was down there...
