In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Another round... and against a Nobody.... Hnh.... This tournament was just going to continue getting more and more worse, now wasn't it? However... if it was up against a Nobody, and one like Marluxia, there was little doubt in Riku's mind that he would be letting the emotionless being have any type of slack from his end in this round. The silver-haired teen was agile enough to dodge most of what Nobodies had to dish out.... However... Riku had thought that he and the others were ridden of the Nobodies, but it seemed not to be the case.
Whatever... thinking too much would get in his way.
Riku stood in his corner of the arena, awaiting for his opponent to arrive so that he could hurry up and get things over with. These matches were now just something that was dragging him down since what happened in the first round of the tournament. It wasn't cold blood that he had killed Zaos in.... It was classified as manslaughter. It was an accident... it was never supposed to have happened.
Riku? What an interesting match up. Marluxia was whisked away from his chair in the waiting room and was now standing in the arena looking at Riku. Pulling down his hood with a slight laugh, Marluxia asked the silver haired annoyance.
"So, Riku. Are you finally free of Ansems grasp? Or are you still his little puppet?" Marluxia already knew the answer to this. But why not toy around with him just a bit.
Drawing Graceful Dahlia, Marluxia already began sending his energy into the ground. Defense would take a priority here.
"So, Riku. Are you finally free of Ansem's grasp? Or are you still his little puppet?"
Riku's eyes narrowed as Marluxia said this and he rose his hand, summoning Way to the Dawn into his grasp and having the blunt side rest upon his shoulder as he stuck the thumb of his other hand into his pocket. If there was something that Riku never really enjoyed with Nobodies, it was this small talk right here. To him, there was honestly no reason to it unless it provided useful information... in which case, last time he checked, a jeer was not.
No need for introductions, that was for sure. Rolling his shoulders back for a moment, Riku looked to Marluxia and then quickly glanced around the arena to get his surroundings straight. There was no way that he wanted to miscalculate... and definitely not against Marluxia....
Marluxia smirked at Riku drawing out Way to Dawn. Now that he has a keyblade, Riku will finally be worth fighting. But why make it a fair one? Smiling, Marluxia snapped his fingers and a single Viper Nobody slithered out of the twilight.
It eyed Riku and turned it's head to look up at it's master, as if to ask for permission. Marluxia gave a slight nod and the Viper darted towards Riku. With a slight motion of his wrist, two sunflower petals floated out of his sleeve and orbited around XI. Another flick, and one rose flower appeared in the air and began to gather energy to fire. Any movement from Riku, and the attack would commence.
Only giving the most subtle of flinches as the ground next to him fell, Riku merely moved his eyes to give it a look to observe what was going on. He didn't waver from his stance, no... otherwise, what kind of 'leader' would be be? Leaders didn't waver and they didn't panic. As he was taught, people who assumed the leader position also learn to replace fear and panic with calm and rational thoughts. So the arena was falling apart... how could that be used to his advantage if at all?
Well, it seemed that didn't matter as one of Marluxia's Nobody lackeys rushed towards him. Hnh... things never really changed, did they? Always making the first move without giving a second thought. At this, Riku quickly crouched down and darted forwards to meet with the creature, snapping his wrist forwards and then up to slash at the husk of a beast.
However... just because Riku had gone in to meet with the attack didn't mean that he didn't see the other things that Marluxia had summoned, either. Being unlike some people, Riku actually took time to observe his surroundings and what it was that his enemies did. As he had made a move for the Nobody, Riku had angled his body to the side somewhat and had pointed the palm of his free hand towards the rose, a light bluish ball of energy hurdling forwards to meet with that of the rose's.
He was definitely going to have to keep on his toes, there was no question of that.
Marluxia chuckled slightly at Riku launching a Dark Firaga spell at the rose. He claimed to be rid of the dark, but here he is using in battle. Such a shame.
"You claim to be rid of darkness. But why continue to use it's powers Riku?" XI asked as he did a quick leap back and threw his scythe at Riku. Landing softly on the ground Marluxia sent more of his energy into the ground. Soon his plant would be complete. But until that happened Marluxia would have to make sure to keep his distance from Riku and his keyblade.
The two sunflower petals that were rotating around Marluxia flew off in the direction of Riku and grew in size. Each one roughly three feet long and 2 feet wide. With the sharpness of Marluxia's own scythe, the petals began spinning like saw blades. Ready to tear into their victim.
It's actually Dark Aura seeing as Dark Firaga is only available to him in Dark forme, which he is not in. That, and he doesn't have it when reintroduced in KH II. .-.
Claiming to be rid of the darkness was one thing... using it's powers to benefit himself and others was another. Though he said that he was rid of the darkness... Riku had also told himself that he would allow for himself to be consumed by it again if it meant saving his friends. Ridding the world of Heartless and Nobodies like the flamboyant, pink-haired one that stood before him fell under that.
"You claim to be rid of darkness. But why continue to use it's powers Riku?"
Tch... annoying as always.
As Riku rid the arena of the Nobody, He saw the scythe rushing for him. Clenching his teeth a bit, he quickly dismissed Way to the Dawn and took an initiative that even he thought was either really gutsy... or just really stupid. Riku had dove in, ducking under the scythe and rose his hand up to grasp the scythe as it rushed overhead, twisting his wrist in a rather uncomfortable position. Smirking to himself, he re-summoned Way to the Dawn.
Both weapons in his grasp, Riku knew that he wasn't going to be holding onto Graceful Dahlia for too long -- as the weapon was to a Nobody as a Keyblade was to its bearer.
Taking in a breath, the silver-haired teen drew both weapons before him and had a near-transparent wall appear before himself. He had usually used this when the time called for it... and well... the time definitely called for him summoning up the mana for Dark Shield.
Marluxia sneered at Riku using his Dark Shield. What a wast, Riku still has small ties to darkness. Why does he resist it? Why? But seeing the teen holding his weapon did bring a smile to his face.
"Aww. Riku, you know better." Marluxia said with a snap of his fingers and Graceful Dahlia turned into a flurry of rose petals that began to swirl around Riku and try to cut him.
While still sendning his energy into the ground, Marluxia summoned up his scythe into his hands and darted towards Riku. Making two swinging motions that sent a shockwave of black and pink energy.
It's fine... not like I'm being punctual myself...
Already having expected Marluxia's weapon to go back to its true wielder, Riku didn't expect the rush of razor sharp rose petals that rushed past him and tore through his clothes and into his body. Giving an inaudible growl, Riku jumped and arced backwards, placing a palm against the ground and performing a backhand spring to get his distance from both Marluxia and his weapons.
Turning his cyan gaze back up, Riku saw the Nobody coming for him. Just what was it about opponents always going in to take direct attacks?
However, as Marluxia neared him, the silver haired teen reacted quickly to the Nobody swinging his scythe. Ducking down once again, Riku rolled forwards and then dug the tip of Way to the Dawn into the ground to prevent himself from falling off into the pitch darkness that the arena revealed.
Blood trickled down the side of his face from getting cut from the rose petals and he shifted his attention back up to Maruluxia as he staggered back up into a standing position. Holding Way to the Dawn back up in the a defensive position, Riku narrowed his eyes and watched Marluxia carefully as he inched away from the edge of the arena.
Marluxia scowled as he saw the arena crumble away and allow Riku to dodge the attack. Too much was going at once for a decent attack to land. This would prove to be a very difficult fight after all, but Marluxia is no stranger to that fact. Looking around to the multitude of holes in the floor gave Marluxia a brilliant idea. With the Assassin sending his energy into the arena all this time, he had been able to make a seed grow and flourish into a full grown Venus Flytrap. And now seemed like the perfect time to unleash it.
Gathering a good deal of energy into the very bottom of his scythe, Marluxia did a back step and tap the scythes bottom to the ground, causing three deep crimson and black circles to grow around the ground where Riku stood. Thorny vines and a flurry of rose petals to arrive out of it. At the same time, Marluxia had given the order to his plant under ground to make itself known. It's vines came shooting out of the cracks and gaps in the arena and make their way slowly to Riku. While this happened Marluxia would try to keep a good distance, using this much magic and strength took it's toll.
